I read the boxed set of 3 books and a shortie and binged myself stupid. I had it sitting my library for quite a while before tackling it. WHY DID I WAIT?? It is fantastic. Set in a bygone era, the tale of 3 broken men is woven together into a story of piracy on the high seas, violence, killing, betrayal, innocence, loving, sexing - lots of sexing, hating, brainwashing, bigotry, sorcery, evil acceptance and healing. I started at book 1 and didn't put it down til page 1340. So much goes on, I don't know where to start. It starts with a kidnapping of an innocent and ill young man who is forced to join a band of pirates who have the blood of others running through their veins and an empty space where their hearts should be. The captain and the first mate have more demons than hell itself. But the innocent have a way of breaking down the most hardened of hearts, and so we have a truly beautiful story that is unwrapped layer by layer and book by book until the heartless become the most loving of all. I cant imagine stopping at book 1 so I'd recommend diving in to the box set and going for it

High Seas Romance

Loved this box set! I generally prefer box sets as usually they tend to wrap up so nicely. This one certainly does, especially with part 3.5. Yet, I find myself yearning for more adventures and while this arc is complete there's a hint of possibly more in the future. God I hope and pray there will be more adventures to come!
