Weak things never live long in the Stone pack. So to survive, I had to make myself strong.
This pack took everything I loved from me.
They shattered my heart into pieces so small that I knew I could never leave until I made them pay. No matter the cost. To myself, or to my wolf.
For years, I pretended to be something I wasn’t.
Until he came. Our new alpha, Galen Hunt.
Now my survival depends on dodging the pack, who have a new target in their sights.
Me.
Galen promises he’ll protect me from the pack’s cruel games, but the cost is far too high.
My secrets are mine. And my body? He can lay claim to it all he wants, but that doesn’t make me his.
*THE WEAKEST WOLF is set in the same world as my Cold-Blooded Alpha Series but features new characters and a new pack. You don't need to have read my Cold-Blooded Alpha series to enjoy The Weakest Wolf, but if you have, this story follows the events in Savage Alpha.
**Due to mature themes and steamy scenes, this book is recommended for 18+
This was pretty good. I liked the connection between Sierra and Galen and how they both tried to fight what they were feeling for one another. That angst between them was really intriguing and I loved how Galen couldn't stop his protective instincts at times, which had me liking him as a character. And Sierra was easy to like with how tough and how determined to get revenge she was.
The one big thing though, was there wasn't much of a backstory to learn how Galen came to be Alpha of this pack and what had led to that beginning scene. It led to some questions that never got answered and I know there will be more from this couple and we could possibly learn the answers to these questions but I felt like that information was needed in this book.
Just a side note, I'm personally calling the ending an HFN instead of a cliffhanger since the book felt like it moved at a pretty good pace and mainly finished the story, at least the main part of plot that this first book centered around. I was actually confused at one point because the way the story was going didn't feel like it was going to get or needed another book so I was thinking that I was wrong and that it wasn't going to end up having an open ending. Which it did have a very soft cliffhanger but nothing drastic so I think I'm actually going to take a break from the series for now and let Galen and Sierra live happily in my brain before they have anything else happen to their relationship.
The author does preface that there are mature themes in this book, but please be cautious if you’re triggered by physical abuse and torture because it’s not specifically mentioned. The FMC Sierra endures quite a bit of both from all the shitty people in her life (not directly by the MMC Galen). However, the MMC reveals a secret about her early on and on purpose that causes others to start abusing her…and he does nothing to stop it until he realizes he’s made a big mistake. It gets a little hard to stomach after a while and I really started to hate the MMC for not stepping in sooner. There was redemption, but Sierra seemed to forgive Galen way too fast.
And why do none of these characters carry lethal weapons on them when they’re in human form?! Especially our main girl Sierra, after all the abuse she’s suffered. I understand wolves are deadly on their own, but if my wolf was submissive, I damn sure would have a weapon handy especially if my goal was revenge.
I really loved this read. I love a strong fmc, and although this one is strong in other ways. It didn't take away from her one bit. Our H is a whole force. And making everyone pay while holding onto a mask so strong was beyond amazing. No one knows the real serria, or what she's capable of, but they will. I can't wait to see this H rise above everyone, even her alpha couldn't outshine the weakest wolf
I don't know why, but I loved this. A deliciously spicy werewolf romance novel with a world that I'm interested in exploring in the other books of the series.
My problem with this book is that the forgiveness happens too quickly.
Galen sets Sierra up for torment because he wants information, making him just as bad as everyone else in the pack. He watches her get hurt and abused. Then he has sex with her a few hours after she gets beaten unconscious and her home is destroyed, and immediately rejects her afterward and forces her from his home nude. He knows she will have to trade sex for clothes, and will probably be raped and beaten.
He then drives away and abandons her. She is tortured and nearly killed. The next day he has second thoughts and comes back to help her. They fight the pack as soon as she wakes up.
Then they drive off into the sunset, happy and in love. They have sex again in a hotel the very next day.
Uhh. Ok then. Why does she trust this guy? He’s been pretty fricken evil to her. Then her nurses her wounds. Wounds that he intended to be inflicted on her. Every injury was because he wanted her to be hurt.
It was also never explained why Bowen had such a hold on this pack. Galen is fighting dozens of wolves because Bowen wanted them to fight, and they’re all dying for him. Why? This is a pack full of terrible people. Why do they sacrifice themselves for Bowen who doesn’t fight his own battles and who isn’t an alpha. I needed more convincing to believe in his power over them.
Finally, I felt like there were too few background details about Eden and Melody and what happened to them, as well Melody’s boyfriend. We know major events happened in the two weeks Melody was there, but we never really learn why or how she died or how Eden got away or why the boyfriend left.
I was trying to figure out exactly how to write this review, and how many stars to even give it. (Spoilers ALERT) The core of this story had serious potential, but over all the abuse and neglect was seriously troublesome. To me she would've killed more quickly to get revenge than stick around for that. Or had some type of weapons on her person to defend herself if her wolf wasn't strong enough. Let's talk about the big ole Alpha who just walks into the picture. Number1: How the hell you take the word of a towny who probably gossips to much as it is, but don't talk to anybody else who seen his sister leave town. Just assume the worst and go in guns ablaze and condemns her from the start. Number 2: If he was any type human or great Alpha he would've had more than 1 conversation with her to find out where his sister was. Number 3: He sleeps with her. Then leaves, hello....jerk Has a conversation with someone else in town and BOOM...he figures it all out. Feels shitty for treating her awful and goes back to save the day. Really? I thought two stars was being generous. Side note: I bought both books😵
I went into this expecting some over-exaggerated hardship and then miraculous power boost for the MFC. But that wasn’t what I got. It went deeper than that and ripped me from the inside. I almost don’t want to read the second book - just so I can leave this heavy feeling behind. Or maybe I will read something else like a rom-com and then come back to this. Poooh.
One final thought though: “weak” she is not.
❗️If you have sensitivities then I strongly suggest you check out the trigger warning for this before beginning.
I really loved this book. It’s an emotional read, both uplifting and heartbreak before we get our happy ending. Sierra has a hard time in a nasty pack and then Galen arrives and makes her life even worse! Not the best start to a relationship. I really loved the writing style of the author and it defiant keeps you hooked. Sierra goes through hell and you’re on her side from beginning to end. I won’t give spoilers but this girl goes through it to get her HEA. Thoroughly recommended

The title was intriguing and drew me in, but it was the storyline grabbed me from the start. This may be about a weak wolf but that wolf is anything but weak. Sierra’s out for revenge and will do whatever it takes to make so-called strong wolves pay. And pay they do! And, she almost pulls it off without a snag UNTIL …. until HE shows up… Galen, an alpha from another pack that has his own axe to grind. Now things get interesting and a bit complicated. Danger lurks, lies and half truths bring about more lies… and consequences, sometimes deadly. Enjoy all the drama, intrigue and emotion as you absorb each page.
👁⌃👁 OBSERVATIONS;
✒︎ Loved the action and the emotion. Loved how ‘complications’ were resolved. Aunty Karma took her good ol’ easy time but she finally shows up.
✒︎ Didn’t like the detailed intimate scenes. They took away from the storyline. Galen and Sierra’s attraction didn’t require bedroom acrobatics. Love scenes need to lure the reader into the story not have them skipping and/or skimming pages to get back to the plot. These scenes are limited for which I was thankful.
✒︎ I expect a certain amount of ‘cussing’ but never like it when used with God’s name. Fortunately it doesn’t happen often but it does happen.
✒︎ Kept waiting to see how and when Sierra would tell Galen about Eden. We finally find out ….. but….

Second Chance Mate, Enemies to Lovers Shifter Romance
Sierra is a submissive wolf in a terrible pack hiding that she's not an alpha or beta.
She's on a revenge mission to get rid of all the members of her pack that destroyed her family. She'd nearly done too with only two shifters remaining on her list when Galen Hunt takes over her pack.
He's under the mistaken impression that Sierra is a terrible person like everyone else in her pack but also that she knows where his missing sister is, or had something to do with her disappearance. I'm not entirely clear on which.
In either case he makes it his mission to make her life as hard as possible by basically giving her pack free rein to mess with her. Which they do... brutally.
Personally I felt that this story required a lot more grovel. Or actually any grovel, because while he takes care of her when she's hurt and feels guilty and ofc realizes he's in love with her he doesn't actually grovel for nearly getting his second chance mate unalived.
So yes needed more grovel.
That being said Sierra is my favorite type of h. She's incredibly strong without being in your face about it. She's severely underestimated. She's fought against her instincts to be more that what is expected of her and she hides her true self while being a total boss. Loved her character.
Galen had promise too. I love good alpha hole. And had the declarations of love not been so sudden and abrupt I would have liked this story more.
This is one of the most irritating books I’ve read in a long time. I didn’t finish it but I got through the worst parts. Couldn’t care less if he makes her Luna and is the best most devoted alpha ever after but the shit he put her through is not forgivable. The number of times I went “This makes no sense!” while reading is infinite! It’s just sooo bad.
The hero suffered from extreme willful delusions and even when they’re proved wrong his first instinct is still to leave. The whole book he looks in disgust at what’s happening in her pack but he’s just the same. These “protective” instincts he talks about do NOT EXIST. He came in, bullied her. Interrogated her. Set the pack on her. Explained NOTHING. Fucked her. Tried to humiliate her. Discarded her. And left her in the hands of a scumbag. When he found out the truth, which was obvious the whole time by the way, his first thoughts were basically “Oh well. I should keep going since I left already.” Like huh?? How is this an alpha that anyone would follow? In my eyes he showed exactly what he was with his actions.. I don’t care that he “felt guilty” and came back to pick up HER BROKEN BONES.
What a horrible book. Just awful. This is so far from what I expected to read it’s in another stratosphere.
I really liked this Eve Bale story. It has some similar themes to a few of her other books - female wolf shifter is abused and tormented by her pack until her circumstances are able to change. This one has a good twist - Sierra is staying in the pack willingly so she can exact her revenge on the members who destroyed her family. When the new alpha shows up with his own hidden agenda, Sierra is caught in a complicated situation with increasing danger. I liked Sierra and Galen. Their actions and mistakes made sense as well as their relationship. I really liked the plot and the couple until the epilogue. In my opinion, the story abruptly ends with several hanging plot lines. This would be fine if the book is the first in a series, but there’s no mention of a sequel to answer some big questions about Galen and his search for his sister, or Sierra’s future in Galen’s pack. There appears to be another book in the rejected mates series about Galen’s sister, but I don’t know if it resolves any of the bigger unresolved plots in this one. So be warned.

Wow what abook this was, super hard to put down just needed to know what was happening next a true page turner.
The book even made me cry/sob and that is no easy thing.
The charactera Sierra and Galen truely show us that sometimes all it takes is comunication for things to fall into place and i think Eve did a wonderfull job at showing that.
The journey they went on.. oh mylanta and holy pancakes it was amazing, as the book progressed we got to learn more and more i liked that so very much not all information was tossed in the open right away big plus there.
The book ended beautifully but it left me with a few questions, maybe there will be a next book and then ill get those?
Anyhow the hotness scale is 11/10 its tastefull and smokin hot loved that.
I loved this heart-wrenching story of wolf-shifter Sierra and her plans to take down her pack. Even though her wolf is submissive, she has learnt to be anything but. She had a simple life with her mum and Dad before they came to the Stone pack. The Alpha killed her Dad and chased off her Mum. She is later told her Mum was killed by hunters. She was regularly abused and beaten up by both the pack's men and women. Sierra vowed she would eventually get her revenge on all who had wronged her.
In walks Galen who becomes the next Alpha. He is looking for his fated-mate and her best friend, who is Galen's sister. Sierra doesn't know or trust him so refuses to tell him where his sister is. Galen is going to find out what he needs to know once and for all; even if it means breaking this little wolf. 🔥 read.
I really, really wanted to fall in love with this story because Eve Bale has written some of the best rejected mate stories I have had the pleasure to read but this just doesn't work. I was very curious to see how the hero and heroine would interact because a lot of reviews said the hero didn't do anything when the heroine was being harassed and physically abused by the townsfolk.
I do not get easily triggered by this, and in fact, am interested to see how it would have played out. I definitely prefer to read about brutish heroes, but this was just not it. I did not feel the hero liked the heroine, despite reading about his alleged attraction to her. It's not that it felt clinical but I just didn't feel it.
Sierra was a badass and Galen was a complete and utter dumbass. And that pretty much sums up the entire book. Galen had better start treating her like the queen she is in the next one, his character is borderline irredeemable as it is. I also hope that her wolf continues to embrace her new found bravery and maybe starts learning to stand up for herself from her human.
Well....that's definitely a way for him to let her down. Sierra was so strong until the new alpha came along, and he just broke her, but she never stayed down! She's a better person than me, though, especially for that ending. I hope he grovels for a long, long time Really good book and well written. Love how it ties in with cold-blooded alpha series. You have got to read them first, so all the names make sense. Well worth it
10% DNF So annoyed. No one mentioned that this had the dead ex trope. H is out to avenge his dead fated mate by torturing the h.🙄 so I guess the h is his consolation. . Avoiding.
““It wasn’t your fault, Galen.” “I wasn’t there. She comes here, and two weeks later she’s dead. My mate. My fated mate. Someone has to pay for that. Someone will.” She was the other half of my soul. The woman the universe created for me. Irreplaceable. Someone has to die for it. But they have to suffer first.”
I was enjoying this book until near the end. When Galen leaves her to the pack to be tortured, it was too much. It made me look back on how he had caused her so much pain since he arrived. I appreciated why they were working against each other, it made sense to me. But after that point I had trouble seeing Galen as the hero. It was a well written book that flowed easily. I'm not sure if I'll read the next one.

I read some of the reviews and almost passed this by. So glad I didn't. Sierra had a hard life, but she was absolutely awesome. Galen was a dick, but he finally used his brain and figured stuff out. A lot of the reviews bashed him, but I thought he ended up stepping up and being pretty fantastic. He admits his faults and wants to be better and is willing to do whatever it takes. Overall a very good book. I look forward to reading the next!
This is the story of our h, Sierra, and what happened to her family when they met up with the Stone pack. And it’s pretty bad. But mostly it’s about the Alpha who shows up and takes over the pack. He’s looking for some women named Eden and Melody. He won’t get good news…
Sort of a cliffhanger because you can find out what happened to one of the women in the next book.
KU read, and I’m off to get the next in the series.

Wow what a read… I love the storyline and the characters…. I also got frustrated at times by Sierra and Galen’s continual misunderstandings … Loved the stubbornness and strength Sierra continually portrays even against the worst bullying… Not everything is as it seems… Yet somethings are exactly as they appear…. Seriously a great read….
A book with a lot if pain and strength. Sierra may be a submissive wolf but its a mistake to think she's a weak person. Doesn't end exactly on a cliffhanger but the story wasn't finished. I immediately got to Amazon and bought the other 2 in the series. Didn't even stop to read the details. I've got to know the rest
While this series is a spin-off from the Cold-Blooded Alpha series after Fierce Alpha and can be read on its own, I think reading about the other pack and their stories first would make this one more enjoyable.
The story its a little bit dark, if you are not used to it be careful. The story its interesting, and the female lead its not overpowered with the tipical (special luna powers), you see her weakness and its enjoyable how she overcomes things even if the ML is an ass. A good reading for an afternoon.
Really well written. I wanted to give it a 3 because of Galen but Sierra and the author deserved more. Do t get me wrong, he did grovel and more that I can't say without spoiling things, but I read it less than an hour ago so excuse me while I still feel betrayed. Seirras story is very worth reading though.
