Midorijima. Situated to the south of Japan, this beautiful island was once a place where people lived in harmony with nature. Then the Toue Corporation took over, driving off most of the island's residents and forcing those who would not leave to live in the shadow of Platinum Jail, a walled-off megaresort where the wealthy wallow in luxury.
Aoba is a young man living with his grandmother in the Old Residential District, the last refuge of Midorijima's people. While his peers join gangs and fight for dominance of the streets or immerse themselves in the virtual reality game Rhyme, Aoba works part-time at a junk shop and hopes only that his peaceful life will last.
But strange things are happening on Midorijima, and Aoba will soon have to fight... or lose everything that he holds dear.

Steam Review: One day while talking to my friend, this game came up. We both had heard about it, joking about how the game has "yaoi jesus" and how most of the endings, if not all, were very odd. We checked the game out on steam and it was on sale, and that's when my friend gifted it to me. As a college student, i generally don't have a lot of free time. However, this game had me finishing all my assignments just so I could get all the endings of the game. Every ending is different, only with some similarities. I suggest you get all the endings to get a better grasp on Aoba and his character. Hes way more than "yaoi jesus," and i'm glad i know that now. I'd recommend this game to anyone who can handle more taboo subjects, as DMMD deals with plenty of them. Please read the content/trigger warnings and take them seriously. I, of course, played the censored version, so this review is with that version solely in mind. It isn't too censored, it's playable.
Extras and some Spoilers: I keep finding myself thinking about the endings of this game. It’s an incredible game with beautiful writing and honestly I’m so happy that I was able to play it. I really hope JAST comes out with an English translation of DmmD Re:Connect as I’d 100% purchase it and play it. PLEASE JAST USA PLEASE. Clear is my favorite character he’s literally the best. I also got the uncensored patch from JAST’s website, but with exam season coming up I haven’t been able to do a replay to see any differences in the scene. I played Clears good end again and I will say that I’m pretty sure that it was longer than in the censored version, but that’s kind of expected. I also don’t know if that was correct anyways since Clears good end was the first ending I played and after I played all the left over endings I replayed Clears good end again so my memory could be foggy (I have chronically bad memory) Anyways please play the game it’s so good and please play with an open mind :] some subjects are taboo obviously (such as Minks entire route, and the Virus Trip end, maybe even the Ren Good end too and most if not all of the Bad ends) but trust it’s a beautiful written game, especially if you get Clears good end first hehe. I wish I could play this game for the first time again. Not having an English version of Re:Connect breaks my heart because I’m unsure of how long I’ll have to wait for that to even be announced if ever. JAST USA PLEASE 🙏🙏🙏
