Long Shot is so much more than a sports romance! It is about the epic love between two souls and their hard fought journey to be together. It is a beautiful, and at times heartbreaking, story that will take your breath away. The chemistry between August and Iris is combustible from their very first meeting. Even when circumstances keep them apart, and try to make them doubt the other, it never fades. I love both August and Iris, they are honest, thoughtful and endearing. Iris's family and background is so fascinating, adding a wonderful dimension and making this even more intriguing. August is such a good man, so loving and protective. I really cared for them both and it was so painful to watch them go through some of the things they did. But more inspiring to see them become stronger, and their love more powerful. This is what Ms. Ryan does so well. Her writing style is beautifully poetic. It is so alluring and seductive that you feel like you are right there and experiencing every emotion. She takes us on an exhilarating journey that will leave you raw and breathless and totally satisfied.
This is storytelling at it's absolute finest and I loved every word of this beautiful, passionate, poignant stellar love story! Bravo!

I absolutely loved and completely devoured this book! I could not put it down or stop thinking about it for long after the last page! I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I begged for more! This bold and sexy romance seduced me from page one, and held me captive with its raw and honest emotions. I fell in love with two beautifully flawed characters. They held their belief of who they were, and who they wanted to be. Under the right circumstances, they sometimes stumbled, but they also soared. Jared and Banner were friends in college first, then became lovers. But when something unimaginable happens, they go their separate ways, completely heartbroken. Now ten years later, they are successful competitors back in each others orbit, and their chemistry is even more explosive. Jared knows that Banner is it for him, and he is determined to convince her to give them a second chance. Jared and Banner's story is not an easy one. They are both strong, unwavering, and caring people that don't always agree. But their journey is worth every moment of heartache, tears, joy and laughter and is definitely one to savor.
Ms. Kennedy's writing is so eloquent and poetic that every scene seductively embraces you, holding you in complete rapture. She challenges us to not judge or see things as black or white, but with compassionate, empathetic eyes. That we are all beautiful just as we are and wholly worthy of forgiveness, respect, and love. She helps us to understand Jared and Banner's deep connection, profound love, and actions. Actions that had me dismayed at times and happily cheering at others. This is a beautifully written epic love story with deep heartfelt emotion, honest characters and hot, sexy love scenes. Captivating, emotional, realistic and completely emmersive.
I read these books individually some time ago but i couldn't miss the opportunity to own this boxset and post all the reviews in one place. You will not regret getting this boxset.
LONG SHOT
If you are affected by reading about spousal abuse, read with caution. This book pulls on all the emotions inside you. I shudder to think the things some women go through in an abusive relationship and the struggles they go through to overcome it. I also feel some sympathy for the abuser because there must be something really broken inside them to cause them to behave that way, they need help too. This story has so much sadness, betrayal and pain but it also shows strength, perseverance, recovery,and love. There is an amazing friendship between Lo and Iris and a all consuming beautiful love between Iris and August. A love that helped her to know what a real relationship should feel like. An emotional anguished story which ended beautifully. Bravo to the writer.

Kennedy Ryan is a brilliant writer and her stories are captivating. I love that I learn more about Lo's best friend Iris, they continued to support each other. I just love Lotus and Kenan's story, they had difficulties but they overcome them as they learn to understand each other with help from professionals. They both experienced betrayal and hurt, caused by family members they trusted but there were also people they could trust and count on. Sometimes you have to choose your own family because the one you are born in caused the kind of devastation that Lotus experienced. The story had a beautiful conclusion and was even better with the bonus chapters you get when you subscribe for the authors newsletter.

Three beautiful stories you will not forget. Kennedy Ryan is masterful in introducing us to these characters that are filled with so much depth right off the pages!

A beautiful read! An epic sports romance of love, life, soulmates and survival. Sometimes making the comfortable/familiar choice is not always the best. August had his own plans until destiny brought him to meet Iris.
This story is not for the faint of heart and there are warnings from the author before delving in.
Kennedy takes us on a journey and then gives us the sweet honey with this one. An unforgettable story that you will be thinking about for a long time.

Jared!!!!! This guys inner thoughts had me laughing ridiculously. I swear he was hilarious of all the guys in this series. He was possessive and determined as ever to get Banner at all cost. There was so much to love about both main characters in this book that I could not put it down. Get ready for some heart break and mending all in one.

All 3 Books of Kennedy Ryan's Award-Winning HOOPS Series! This is a basketball romance series. Check trigger warnings before reading this series. If you’re not comfortable, don’t read it.
I borrowed the box set of this series from Kindle Unlimited and I really enjoyed this series. I wanted to read this series after hearing about it on BookTok. It has a lot of hype on BookTok and I feel like it lived up to the hype. I was hesitant about starting this series because of the trigger warnings and I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to handle it but once I started the first book, I was okay reading it. However, I was emotionally invested in the characters from the very beginning and I couldn’t stop reading the books once I started them. When I wasn’t reading these books, I was thinking about the characters and wondering what they were up to. This isn’t just a cute sports romance series. It’s also emotionally heavy and intense. Sometimes, I had to take a break from reading the books because it was too much but at the same time, I wanted to keep reading so I could find out what happens next.

The second heartfelt story is about two sports agents, Banner and Jared, in Block Shot. She is strong-willed. He is competitive in business. And both are used to winning. Will they succeed at 💘? ... Remains to be seen.
And third, Fashion Designer Lotus (cousin to Iris) and Professional 🏀 player Kenan's story in Hook Shot is a reminder that true 💘 can be found in your soulmate. Lotus suffered from sexual asault at a young age. Kenan was patient in pursuing and winning her trust, her heart and her ✋. This was my favorite which is a 5 star, IMO.

Loving me some Iris, August and Sarai. My all time favorites and the only reason I got this boxset.
I fell in love with another man’s girl, but from the beginning she felt like mine.
“I’d start from scratch and do it all over again if I had to,” I say without pause. “You’re my axis, Iris. My center.”
She offers a tearful smile, a now-familiar contentment saturating her gaze. “I’d play you at the five.”
I chuckle at the phrase that I used to tell her how I felt when I couldn’t fully express it; when she couldn’t be mine yet.
“Yeah, baby,” I agree. “I’d play you at the five.”

Not an easy read
This book was a difficult read, but compelling. I appreciate the disclaimer. This book was real when discussing Domestic Violence and shows that it can affect everyone. AND it showed the beauty of love, both for self and for those who love broken vessels and the healing journey it takes to heal from wounds both internal and external.

I mean it's KR. I dont expect nothing less. You never know what people endure until they trust you enough to share it. I love books that I can relate to. Where the characters learn to overcome, embrace themselves and realize their lovable and deserve the best love can provide. This series meets all my trope requirements.

Kennedy Ryan does it again with this series. I loved all of them. Long shot was my favorite. The emotions that it enacted in me was immense. Block shot was different & probably my least favorite of the 3 because of the MMC. Hook shot was beautifully written & again had parts that brought out some raw emotions.

okay set of books
I’d read the first book previously and liked it so the other two were new to me. Relationships are a theme of the books and although they are sport romance it’s mire about the hassle and issues presented to each couple. An okay set of reads but not keepers.

I still need more!
There wasn't a thing I didn't love about this series (with the exception of the name Banner). It gave me everything I ever needed in a series. Unconditional love, drama, spice, heart break.. everything. Thank you Kennedy for my second 5 star read of 2024

What a trilogy!
Kennedy Ryan sure knows how to deliver. This trilogy is packed full of emotions, amazing characters and true love. I am so glad I read them one after the other, it was a beautiful journey. Awesome reads!

One of the best books I’ve ever read…
The way the author made me cry and laugh, weep and believe in love ALL at the same time is miraculous. I literally wept and then a chapter later was full of hope. This book was excellent and this author is top tier.

August is the 1-2-3-4&5 !!! A whole team in one person.
Iris is a Queen and survivor. I love how she took back her own voice. I absolutely love Deck and August relationship - I think in a way, it connects him back to his dad! Worth the read!!!
