Marilyn is graduating cooking school and is in a program to show off her baking skills and not show she's spoiled girl her brother can buy a shop and her run it. She having fun time with friends when she meets Julien at the bar they hit it off and are sprung for one another they have a sorta ONS but that doesnt stop Julien when he finds her at the program baking up a storm.
Shes hired hands down he doesn't care she's his and she isn't going to run. They have few ups and downs dealing with paparazzi and other peoples who wanna bring their relationship down.
We get some daddy kink which wad a suprise since it didn't happen until 80% which is sad because he was a good first time daddy lol
No ow/slight om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, tiny drama, sexy times, both virgins

Got the chance to listen to the audiobook and this was really a treat. ❤️ Both narrators were doing a great job and this audiobook is perfect if you like shorter stories to listen to.

This book was insta love at its finest & filled to the brim with so much spicy times! Julien was so gone for Marilyn the second be laid eyes on her, and the chemistry was off the charts hot between these two busy bakers. It was great seeing Jack’s little sister Marilyn get her own dirty boss to fall in love with, and boy did she fall hard for Julien. My Cookie was a super sweet and sexy story that will satisfying all your hot insta-love needs, and with a sweet ending too!

This is how you write a hero! He is an alpha, OTT, intense man that goes after his woman. He is a 32 year old virgin (he was focused on work, when he was 16 he made a dessert that his employer stole the recipe of, and sold it for millions, since then he doesn't trust anyone except his brother and hates to be touched or be around people). Once he sees our h, his world shifts and he wants a life with her and does everything to make that happen!

i’m actually quiet shocked that i didn’t like this book, usually i find myself liking many of C.M books but this one really missed for me. like… REALLY MISSED
a few things that made me mad or just to the point of disappointment and dnf.
The heroine was extremely annoying, her friends were also extremely annoying and quiet cringy, not in the cute way but more obnoxious way.
I felt bad for the hero because it was obvious she was just looking for sex, after the one night stand she literally just dipped and couldn’t have cared less about him. He made it clear he wasn’t just in it for the sex, he later on chased her after waking up alone and acted like nothing happened when he got to her. Does he have no spacial awareness? no dignity or self respect. Also, her being a virgin was a selling point and a big troupe of this book but she honestly might as well not have been a virgin. seriously what was the point in adding that? i find it hard to know that up until this point she was a virgin, she was so needy and and rushed to get rid of her virginity. i seriously doubt the author thought this through? And she didn’t leave because of a miss understanding either, she just left. We were told that the heroine was a kind nice girl but she was just quiet a bitch tbh, very cold and bland? and not cold in a cool way either. Just a bitch, literally.
Anyways this books heroine turned me off from the idea of reading the other heroines in this series, if they are anything like her i don’t want it.
Also, another thing i noticed with this book is the dialogue and the writing. Just in general it’s all fast and rushed and looks like a draft instead of the final project. The dialogue, there’s no pauses or breaks, just rushed lines that look like-
(“really?”
“yup”
“wow that’s crazy, got to go!”
I left my house and pulled up to the 7-eleven)
-see how none of that made sense? no pauses, no explanations or breaks in between. i felt messy and rushed and it didn’t feel like writing. just something to quickly get published. i think this was probably my biggest disappointment of this book…

But he gets the shock off his life when he finds out she's in the competition, she is in utter shock that she slept with and gave her heart to the one and only Julien Beaumont, her future boss. C.M. Steele is a relatively new author to me, and I found this an interesting listen. We met Marilyn Shaw in the previous book as she was the sister of the hero. She is sassy and feisty and someone who likes to stir up trouble and be mischievous. If you are looking for an instant love story which is not a long listen, then this is the book for you.
Julien Beaumont, a respected pastry chef wants Marilyn with a passion he cannot contain. However, everyone thinks she got the job by sleeping with Julien. He is almost as over the top as her brother.
Julien is possessive and determined to make Marilyn his and it was entertaining to watch their story play out. The narration by Marie Hawkins and Hector Carrillo who are both relatively new to me was good and easy to listen to.

This is book number 2 of the A Dirty Boss Romance series and focuses on Julian and Marilyn. Marilyn is the younger sister of Jack, who we met in book number 1 of the series. Marilyn is a talented baker who is determined to prove her worth as a baker instead of having her future handed to her. Julian is a successful baker and business owner but is very distrusting of most people in general. He knows from the first glance at Marilyn that he had finally found his one and did not waste any time claiming his woman! They were both so perfect for each other. This was such a great story and a great addition to the series.

I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as they brought out all the heat and heart of this story.

We were first introduced to Marilyn in My Pet as Jack’s little sister and her story did not disappoint! Julien was ever inch the OTT alpha possessive caveman we’ve come to love in the C.M. Steele worlds. Even with the lack of experience, the man dominated. I wasn’t a huge fan of the baking innuendos, but the spice more than made up for it! There is light daddy kink towards the end of the book (no age play, no dress up, etc) and it was nice to see the slow progression into it versus the right away. Great addition to the Dirty Boss’s series and can’t wait to see what comes next!

Things between them quickly heat up and things progress from there.
This is a sweet, fire hot and fast paced insta everything romance. It was really enjoyable. You don't have to have read book one (Mr Shaw and Petra) but it is a great read with less drama than this one.

Which has her wishing that he would just turn around so maybe the can act on her reaction.
Julien hates people well most people. With one look at the beautiful creature across the room and he knows that he’s finally found a woman that he wants to claim in every way.
These two were meant for each other, they balance each other out. I loved reading their story and I can’t wait to see if Lacey and Casey get their own stories as well.

I think I'd give this more stars if I could, I had enjoyed the first book but this one just gets me thinking this series is just going to get better and better with each book. This had an intensness about it but also stayed focused on the romance and the relationship between the two main characters. The storyline was also very engaging and kept me hooked from the very beginning. I'd like to say that I would have read this as a standalone but honestly I'm glad I read the first book first. Totally worth the read if you love this genre and author!!.

No. I saw a post about this book on instagram and thought I’d give it a try. When I downloaded the e-book I was happy to see it was short, but from the first paragraph I could tell I wouldn’t enjoy it. The language is interesting… the way people talk lmao, it’s not giving. Also it was insta-love. Didn’t know that. Realized that I don’t like it. It made the whole thing seem very rushed. Well not *seem* rushed, it was rushed. The guy falls for her, hires her and then marries her all in the span of like a week-ish? Idk anymore.

This was a short yet hot book. I could not put this book. I really enjoyed Julien and Marilyn together with these instant and intense connection. Once Julien sets his sights on Marilyn, no one and nothing will stand in his way of getting his woman. These to have go through some drama but said drama pulls them closer. I enjoyed this and I can't wait for more from C.M.!

This is a fast passed, love at first sight romance. Marilyn is a Baker out in a girls night out when the most handsome man approached her. It was a good read. Between the two in this series, I liked the first book more. Marilyn seemed all over the place and at times immature and bratty. Julien was this major alpha take charge guy so I think he put up with more than most would because of how much he was attracted to her. Bit of drama all over, just because I felt Marilyn was dramatic but overall a good, quick read.

I am totally loving this series! While this is technically a boss’ romance, I really like that they didn’t actually know who they were when they met for the first time. And finding out who they are, didn’t actually change anything. Very hot and steamy with a little intrigue and drama too. Highly recommend!

This was a very steamy boss employee romance and I enjoyed it but I did feel that the storyline was a bit lackluster. Marilyn and Julien had great chemistry and if someone was just looking for a book with great steam I would definitely recommend this one.
