A beautiful compilation of rural British poetry spanning centuries from Shakespeare to the 20th. Accompanied by complimentary watercolours of Gordon Benningfield, the well known nature artist, who captures the landscape so perfectly. This is a restful book to dip into and a joy to read.

Gordon Beningfield, an English naturalist and wildlife artist, produced a series of beautiful books centered on his own watercolors. This collection, paired with equally inspired English lyric poetry is one of his best.
