Telpher: A Time Travel Anomaly

Time heals. Can it heal them?
On the planet Verde two scientists develop the Telpher, a machine that will make possible instant communication across lightyears of space. Neither of them knows it has other uses. One of scientists uses the Telpher to get even with the other and learns an unfortunate truth with no apparent remedy. A hidden flaw in the Telpher’s human interface might be responsible for entangling the fates of two women who live in different times: an astrobiologist and a starship navigator.
Jana Anders, a 24th century starship navigator copes with her ship’s warp drive failure that sends it into the distant past, to an unknown region of the galaxy. A woman she may never know might be able to help, but time is running out for the two to meet.
21st century astrobiologist Sonja Bellesario uses telepathy and radio telescopes to listen for messages from outer space that might help her pursue her destiny in the stars. When a message comes she’s not prepared for its consequences.
The two women have one thing in common. For one it’s a blessing in disguise; for the other a painful disaster. A hidden flaw in the Telpher’s human interface might be responsible for entangling these two women’s lives. Will the link be discovered in time? Time travel may have unexpected twists.
Telpher is the first book in a series. The second and third novels are: Copernicium-296 and Archoi

A Good First Science Fiction Novel
True SciFi : Seriously proposed "What If... " with a plot & actors. The ideas in Ecklund's Whatif are new to me and feel real, and his plotting and the characters' acting also carry it forward persuasively.
