It was merely ok. Some parts seemed to drag and the climax of the book ended way too soon. As soon as it started getting really good, the book ended which was disappointing.
I’d probably read more in the series if they get made just to see what happens with these characters, but I probably wouldn’t read this book again.

Just wow
So much more of all that was wrong with the first book. The author learned nothing and even made it worse by ending on a cliffhanger.
Shame.

Lyric's Curse part 2 was not as good as the first book. The storyline was there, it could have been a much better read. There was not a lot of effort put into developing the new characters and the pacing seemed a little off. Robyn REALLY NEEDS to either hire an editor/proofreader or if he has one, fire him/her and hire a new one. He gets his own characters confused, there are double words and words transposed as well as words that are just missing. All of these things make the book less desirable to read.
I'm coming to realize Robyn's writing style isn't just 'easy to read'... not only is it starting to come off as amateurish but it's starting to feel more appropriate for young people between about fourth through seventh or eighth grade. His attempts at humor, sarcasm, and banter very much remind me of my own children at that age. He has provoked several eyerolls and not in a good way. He should omit the following and market his books toward the aforementioned age group(s).
There is some language in the book but not a lot and it's not extremely vulgar. B**** and a** have been used a few times. The romance is light, not explicit at all, which I appreciate. He could drop the cuss words and innuendos and the first two books would be perfect for young people.

I luved it but it ended to soon.....
This book just got my appetite whetted when it ended to soon for me. I thought I had only been reading for an hour or so, then I looked at the clock and saw I'd been reading half the night. I had read past my medicine time, my bedtime and far into the night. The book grabbed me from the 1st page and never let me go, not even when I read the last word. The writing was spectacular, the characters already had stolen my heart in previous books of the series and I was already hooked on the author's style and was more than excited to read this book. I can't wait to see what happens in the next exciting episode. At storyline is just one of several set in this world, the Bloodlands. Highly recommended for any that luvs dragons, fantasy and excellent writing.

Good behind the scenes..

Having read the other series before this series had me feeling like I was studying the family journals. All four books are wonderful as "stand alones" but I would recommend starting with this series first.
My only rant is for the Editors:
I was bothered by typos like of for off; the for they; stare for share; and one that truly caused a double-back.... Hare for are. I read quickly and see each word. If living Proof Readers are needed, please contact me because spellcheck doesn't quite get it.

This author writes very well and the characters are memorable. The story comes alive and you will fall in love with the characters, rooting for them throughout the story. This is book two, it seem like a long time coming and then I ended up reading it in one sitting. Now I have to wait again. Great Reading Everyone!!!!

Excellent
This was the companion tale to Lyrics curse and it was worth the wait! Excellent characters, fantastic plot and a very satisfying ending. I am anxiously awaiting to hear more from this world of dragons and their dragonbloods! Wonderful series!

Great
The only problem I have had with all three of the Dragon series is the grammar. They seemed to improve over the three sets but there were still many mistakes. The stories themselves were excellent. The characters were strong and likable. I am looking forward to more.

Great book. Can't wait for Lyric's Curse book 3. Though the author has many other series running,I hope the author prioritizes Lyric's Curse series.

Ongoing enthralling saga

I enjoyed this book
Good story line and nicely developed characters . The book would have benefited from a good editor. the errors interrupted the flow.

Nice story. Looking forward to more, though it's tough to tell if more is upcoming. Good story for dragon fans, nice world building too, I liked it.

This book was just as good as the 1st book. It was really enjoyable. Robyn Wideman books written well. I have read most of them and look forward to more.

The book did not hold back with the dragons. It moved the story forward at a good pace, I look forward to where it goes from here.

A good story with plenty of battles

Again a quick, enjoyable read with good characters and action. This book is edited a bit better than the others but still a poor job, can cause some confusion. Overall worth the read

Lack of Proofreading
I enjoyed the first book in this series. That is why I bought the second book. However, over and over again in this second book there were problems with homonyms, word order in sentences, and using the wrong pronouns.
I am not a member of your target audience, teenagers, but having read well written adult sci fi and fantasy books since I was 11 I feel that the author is doing the target audience a disservice. By reading a lot of well written books I had very good grasp of what good English looked/sounded like. So I had very little problems in English classes. When you have a good proofreader on a book young people just painlessly pick up English grammar. On the other hand when you have bad proofreading you teach readers poor English grammar.

get a new Editor
I’ve read both first and second books. The story is enthralling and the characters very likeable or unliked depending on their role. The story had intrigue, humour and a bit of romance. The only problem with this second book especially was the lack of editing. So many errors! Makes for a not pleasant read. If the editing was on par I would have given the book four and a half stars. Too bad.

Exciting!
This is the second in the series and picks up directly after book one. Lyric and Celine are together and Lyric is learning how to be a dragonblood. But of course, nothing is smooth sailing! Lots of adventures! Can't wait to read on!
