Angela: My secret is out, and now both Mark and Jack know that I’m a werewolf. Worse, my abusive ex-boyfriend, the one who made me this way, has escaped from prison and he’s after one thing: our son. The Pack is a brutal, criminal motorcycle gang: I don’t want that life for Rabbit. Jack says he can protect us, but the Pack is strong and if they catch us, they’ll kill me and take Rabbit. But if I’m going down, I’m taking Gray with me.
Jack: She’s a monster like me, but that doesn’t change how I feel about her. I’ll do everything I can to save her and her son. When old enemies reappear and my Mistress betrays me, I might have to give up everything to protect them from the Pack. Angela’s entrusted me with her son, and I won’t let her down.
A werewolf ready to make her last stand. A vampire who will do anything to protect the innocent from the unholy.
Welcome to Dark Ink Tattoo, where needles aren't the only things that bite.
Hi there! I'm a registered nurse and author. As Cassandra, I wrote the Year of the Nurse: A Covid-19 Pandemic Memoir. As Cassie, I've written numerous (and very hot!) paranormal romances, sometimes with my friend Kara Lockharte. I live in the Bay Area with one husband, two cats, and one million succulents.
Blood by Moonlight is the fourth book in the Dark Ink Tattoo by Cassie Alexander. Blood by Moonlight like the three books before starts off with a blast and never lets up.
There is action on almost every page. The action really ramped up in Blood by Moonlight. It had me racing through the book waiting to see what was on the next page. I couldn’t turn those pages fast enough as I wanted more and more.
Angela’s ex-boyfriend and the father of her son Rabbit have escaped prison and are hot on their trail. Jack is there with them as they race down the road running from her ex and his pack. If he catches them he will kill Angela and take Rabbit. Neither Angela nor Jack is ever going to let that happen even if it is the last thing they do.
Blood by Moonlight pulled me in from the first page and kept me hanging until the last. I love the world that was created for Blood by Moonlight. I can’t get enough of the vampires and werewolves in Blood by Moonlight. The twists just keep popping up surprising me more and more with each one.
The descriptions are so vividly written making it so easy for me to see it all playing out in my head as if I am a spectator on the outskirts. I would love to see the Dark Ink Tattoo series made into a TV show.
I highly recommend Blood by Moonlight to anyone who loves vampires and werewolves. Grab a copy of Blood by Moonlight today!
Im a bit conflicted about this book. I just want to say that i am really enjoying reading this series a great deal but to me in this book especially i felt as though Angela didnt really get any resolution to everything that happened to her. Yes she kinda did with regarding Mark and the pack where some things were settled. In regards to jack it just felt like him and Angela were unresolved to me. My thinking from book 1 was that he was helping Angela because he was not only a friend but someone who was interested in a having a relationship with her? Did i read that wrongly? Confused with that one!
Still in terms of Jack and his part of the story was gripping more so with the inclusion of Rabbit Angela's son. Who was a genuinely a sweetie. I loved Jack from the first book and he goes through a lot in this book. The ending was certainly a shock thats for sure and im hoping that that isnt the end? I would feel a bit short changed if it was, lol.
On the whole i enjoyed reading this book and Ill keep my eyes open for any more books in this series in the future
The story is really picking up now, and to be honest, I think I’m getting a feel for these slightly shorter books. At least with this series, because it reminds me of a television show, and now I have to wait for the next “episode” to air.
Overall I enjoyed this book, maybe even more than the last one… unfortunately there was a scene consisting of forced consent that I was quite angry over. (By forced consent I mean a vampire mind controlled them into consenting, even though they didn’t actually want to consent, which to me is too close to Rape) I get the point that was being made, but it was unnecessary and quite a bit disappointing to me, because this story didn’t need that. And I do hope Angela is in the next book, and it’s not just Jack, I want to read about her adventures on the road with Mark and Rabbit.
Other than that, I really liked the book. Cassie Alexander is a good writer and she has created a world and a story worth reading. I could continue with listing all the great things about this series, but it’s best if you just read it for yourself.
If you enjoy paranormal stories featuring wolves, vampires, and who knows what else is out there in this ever unfolding world, and you don’t mind if the two main lead characters are not in a relationship together, then you should give these books a try.
I have to make a comment here to Ms. Alexander, I am mad at you for killing Paco, I knew you would after reading Blood by Midnight, but I will forgive you because…Spoilers: He will need to be harder to kill with whatever’s been being held in that stone sarcophagus inside a giant metal cage in the mines. Whatever that is will be Trouble with a capital T.
Angela's secret is out and now her ex is out of prison and going after her son.
The series is really picking up now, and we're getting to see more and more of the character dynamics. I love Angela and Jack and the way they are both protective over Rabbit. Their story is really coming together, and these shorter books are making me feel like we're getting the story a little faster.
Really enjoying this series. I love short reads but I get so drawn into the story that when it's over I want to read the next one right away. This book has more violence and suspense and leaves me wondering what's going to happen next. I can't wait until the next story comes out to see!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This series get better and better! In this installment, Angela’s dangerous ex has escaped from jail. Jack asks the one person he never wanted to speak to again, let alone be beholden to, for help protecting Angie and Rabbit.
Jack and Rabbit find themselves in the vampire safe house, but things don’t go at all as planned and Jack needs to do more than just hide out from the Pack.
Angela has her own reckoning with the Pack and it splits loyalties amongst the group. Will some see her as a victim or the enemy?
There are very satisfying resolutions to many of the loose ends we have all been clamoring for. The least of which is: just what’s between Jack and Angela?
Filled with action, angst and high-stakes decisions, Blood by Moonlight is another phenomenal installment in the Dark Ink Tattoo series. It does not disappoint! I hope you are reading these books because they are one of my absolute favorites!
This is book 4 in the series. It has more violence in this book but its not overdone with violence. There's some heartache as well and some scenes that made me angry but for the characters. You'll definitely wanna dive into this monstrous book if you've been following the books.
This is the fourth book in the Dark ink tattoo series. You can not read this book without reading the other 3 first. you would be a little lost if you did.
In this book you have jack trying to help save rabbit and ang. It also has just has much spice as the last 3 books. Something might happen in this that i have been hoping for the time.
I did not see the end of this book coming. I will continue reading this series.
I received this book for free from booksirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I received this as an ARC for my honest review! This was an amazing ride and I loved how it ended. I can't wait to see were the story takes off from here. Highly recommend
Well I didn’t see that outcome happening… Betrayed by vamp Madame was obvious - she’s a shady bitch! But new pack leader? Jack and Angela finally getting together, Angela having an orgy with some fellow pack mates? And then vamp Madame getting her comeuppance? Nice! And Paco?!?! 💔😩🥰
🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 Less spice in this one compared to the others but they were kinda fighting for their lives and didn’t have all that much down time so, understandable!

“I felt all my humanity disappear, leaving only a vast darkness behind.”
I received a free advance reader copy and am voluntarily leaving a review. I have followed this series from the beginning and absolutely love the developing storyline between Angela, Jack, Mark, and Paco. There have been several twists that have kept me turning the pages!
Blood by Moonlight does not disappoint! Learning more about Angela and Jack was fantastic. I enjoyed their still developing relationship. I was glad Mark wasn’t at the forefront this time. Even though Angela wants to be ‘normal,’ I was intrigued to watch her accept her wolf and discover that side of herself. With only Jack beside her, Angela was able to let herself be free to explore more of what her wolf has to offer.
When Angela finally allows herself to open up to her wolf out of necessity, she becomes even more of who she is without continually hiding a part of herself away. Discovering her power and the loyal members of her pack gives Angela a chance to pull the pieces of herself together. Her attraction to Jack, human and wolf, give even more insight into them both.
The characters continue to develop throughout the series. They are multi-layered and complex. I think that is what I like best about this series. The author does amazing work at creating and maintaining such interesting characters and events.
This book was not a HEA. However, I will be reading the next in the series! I can’t wait to find out what Jack will do with Paco.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "BLOOD BY MOONLIGHT". This story is filled with action, angst, suspense, intrigue, danger, violence, betrayal, twists that make this an addicting page turner from beginning to end. Mark & Jack now know Angela's secret she's a werewolf turned by her abusive ex-Gray he belongs to a Brutal Biker Gang he escapes prison is now hunting her to get his son Rabbit she doesn't want that life for him. Jack is a Vampire he tells Angela he can protect her & Rabbit but the Pack is strong if they catch them Gray will kill her & take their son if that happens she'll take him with her. Jack is betrayed by his Mistress Rosalie old enemies appear he'll have to give up everything to protect Angela & Rabbit from the Pack he made her a promise she entrusted Rabbit with him he won't let her down. I definitely recommend to get this amazing story you can't put down will Angela take a stand with Gray she ready to be done with him & Jack he'll anything to protect the innocent its a must read you don't want miss getting it won't disappoint so so GOOOD!!!!
This series is not going where you think it is... Angela is a werewolf, hiding herself and her son from his father who is currently in jail. This book is more about Jack than Angela, Jack is a vampire trying to save Angela but he has never admitted to his interest in her as anything more than employee. Deals are made between Mark, Angela's human boyfriend with mafia ties, and Rosalie, Jack's maker. The action in this book takes off from the start and there is a ton of steam in this book - EVERYONE gets it on in this one. Secrets are revealed, Gray escapes, Angela faces her past, a new leader emerges and Jack ends up getting his revenge. Not sure where the next book is going but I'm looking forward to it.

I promised myself that I was going to try to savor this latest installment of this fascinating series but I sat down to read and barely even looked up never mind moved until I was finished. This series is interestingly written and goes back and forth both with narrators and in time. With a less skilled writer this could end up being very confusing but is used to great effect by Cassie Alexander. One of the things that is different about this book is that the two main characters, Angela and Jack, are friends and not a couple which opens up the story to them both having (and having had - that time thing again) relationships with other people. I could go on and on but I will just say that I highly recommend this book and this series if you like paranormal stories that are interesting and well written.
I was gifted a copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review
Blood by Moonlight, book four in the Dark Ink Tattoo series picks up from the end of book three, and now that everyone knows Angela is a werewolf, Ashley, Jack and Mark come up with a plan. While Jack and Mark both want one thing, to keep Angela and Rabbit safe from Gray who has escaped from prison with the sole purpose of getting his son back, Angela wants her freedom. But will her freedom cost her everything? I will admit I am a bit conflicted about this book. On one hand, I am glad that she got her freedom from Gray, and she 'rides off into the sunset' with Rabbit and Mark. But on the other I am secretly hoping she will realize that she loves Jack and comes back to be with him. And after the twist at the end, I just hope that Angela is in the next book, and it’s not just Jack, I want to read about her new life with Mark and Rabbit.
Exhilarating 5 stars. - I don’t know how to have a detailed review of this book without giving out some of the plot. Book 3 left us with Angela and Jack planning to hide from Gray with the help of Mark’s money. Money and planning aside, betrayals abound. Angela was caught but is it the end for her? You have to read it to believe how Angela plans to save her son. Meanwhile, Jack is not doing well with Rabbit either. When you think all is lost, the action, blood and violence keeps going. Will Jack and Angela succeed? Will the time ever be right for them? Whether the answer is yes or no, there is plenty of steam in this book. Story is exhilarating and it’s not done yet! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily chose to review it.
★ “…blood and sex…If I played my cards right, I could practically get both delivered.” ★
—>>> “I’d had to find my own paths to blood and sex. Luckily, I lived in Las Vegas. If I played my cards right, I could practically get both delivered.” This installment is even more packed with events which will keep readers on their toes. Jack features more in this book, as he goes all out to help Angela and Rabbit, trying to stay out of reach and one step ahead of Gray, even calling upon his dreaded maker once again. Jack calls in favors, he explores the idea of new lovers, goodbyes are said, other deals are made, and more. It has been an addicting ride so far, looking forward to seeing how their story will shake out!
I believe some books are like cherries, one is never enough… and with the Dark Ink Tattoo series, each book is not enough, I must read the next, and the next…. Blood by Moonlight is another amazing instalment in the series. Cassie Alexander built a fantastic world, and, as it's usual in her books, the characters are somehow anti-heroes, with a ton of insecurities, and idiosyncrasies…. Jack is one of my favourite vampires ever! In this book, as usual with him, violence, action, betrayals, love, a loooooot of explicit sex, fun & teasing, everything is packed in a fluid style that will leave you wanting more! Definitely loved it!

I loved this book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were intriguing. This book had so much going on Angela and Rabbit her son need to hide with the help of Mark and Jack. The heat that comes off the book in this paranormal shifters story. I loved this book from the first page, and I recommend this story to everyone.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I wasn't quite sure if this was the last book in the series or not when I started this one. It is not the final story. There is at least one more.
The story picks up right after the end of the previous book. Jack and Angela's stories become more entwined in this one. New characters arrive and old ones stories expand.
While some things get resolved, there are more problems to solve. I am looking forward to more of Jack and Angela.

Blood by Moonlight book #2 by Cassie Alexander is full of darkness, murder, violence, suspense and paranormal events with of plenty of steamy erotic moments. Angela's secret is about to be revealed to Jack and Mark as the Pack on Gray's orders wants Rabbit and is killing anyone close to Angela to get his son. Now mother and son become one with their wolf but danger surrounds both of them. Jack that sexy vampire who has issues of his own, still wants to be with Angela, when she learns what he is, he offers to help her and her son. With the help from Angela's boyfriend Mark he brokers a deal with Rosalie, Jack's sire So much drama, betrayals and violence in this story as they are betrayed by Tamo who sold them out to the wolves. Finally Angela when she is taken by the Pack she allows her wolf to emerge as she tells her captors just what Gray has done and the pack member Wade that he had killed along with the witch that was involved with Jonah. Can she get these men to set her free when she promises to return as she wants to be the one to take him down? Through all of this, Angela and Jack connect sexually as feelings are brought to light, but Jack with the love he has for Angela knows that once the threat is over, she will leave him, will she return to Mark to give her son a better life? Between Angela and the Pack taking out Gray, Jack will have his own revenge on his maker when she kills his lover Paco... Jack gives the pack the spells from Bella that will help the wolves with their pregnancy curse. You will be left on edge with an ending as questions still need to be answered regarding Paco and a mystery woman who arrives at Jack's doorstep seeking his help. Now we have to wait for book #3 to see how all of this drama will unfold.
So I feel like I got no real closure for Angie. Did she get back to Mark? Why would she give up her shop? Is she just going to be a trophy wife now cause she didn't strike me as the kind of girl to give up her independence? And her and Jack aren't even going to be friends. I was very disappointed in this book. I don't think I'll be reading the next one without both Angie and jack I don't wanna read about one without the other
I finished this installment of Dark Ink Tattoo in one sitting. I found the story wildly entertaining and the undeniable chemistry between Angela and Jack just adds to my enjoyment. This book was more action packed and quickly paced than the previous, keeping the dangerous thrills coming one after another. I love this series! I’m addicted and it is my absolute favorite guilty pleasure. I saw a fifth book on the way and I can’t wait for it to be released.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I thought the story would end with Angela, but surprisingly, this book started focusing more on Jack and how his interactions with Angela, Rabbit and Paco play out. This has a very action packed conclusion to Angela and Rabbit's story, and ends up with a cliff hanger to continue Jack's story. I think we're going to see more page turning activity coming from Jack in the next installment!.

An amazing book. This is book four in this series Dark Ink Tattoo. You will enjoy this book, just like the previous ones. This is the story of Jack and Angela and their journey to their happily ever after. Angela's ex is out of prison and is after one thing his son. Angela will protect her son and Jack will protect them both. I am looking forward to the next book. You don't want to miss book or this series.
In this book Jack makes choices that will place him in a vulnerable position. He chooses to protect Rabbit for Angela. His love for Angela has him sending Paco away from danger. Angela finally lets her wolf out and finds a pack. She has to make a choice to be a wolf or continue being a human. This book has deception, adventure and love throughout. I am looking forward to the next book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
