I do not have any children yet but wanted to read this book because it is my dream to raise a son someday. And though those who are already parents may think of this book differently, from how I see it, Moms Raising Sons to Be Men is a real hidden gem. I absolutely LOVE Rhonda Stoppe's writing style, and every few sentences contain a new thought or an encouraging word. Her insights are also simple, biblical, and clear.

Each chapter contains a story or two before getting into the main points of the section, ending off with a QR code and link leading to the chapter's video teaching as well as "Thinking it Through" and "Living it Out" subsections to help you apply the chapter to your own life.

I also wouldn't be discouraged from reading this book even if you are usually very busy. With this book, even reading a few lines each day can be enough to give you new insight and encouragement. As other reviewers will also attest, you will not regret picking up a copy of this one!

I am the mom of 3 boys and I have enjoy every single minute of being a "boymom" but I would be lying if I said that I am not in a constant state of worry that they will turn out right once they become adults. The many questions that float through my head regarding my boys and their future are countless but I know God has everything in control.

This author does such a great job at making you feel like she is with you in your living room having a conversation. Throughout the book are practical applications and Scripture references that make you dig deep into the Word. There are many things stuck with me but definitely one of them was the "letting them go and trusting God will take care of them." That is so tough for me and yes, I still have a little while but still the thought of them leaving the "nest" is very real and it hurts this mama heart to see them leave especially in the world we live in right now. But we must have the same kind of faith we have with our everyday things and fully trust that God has our children in His hands.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and I would definitely be gifting this to some of my mama friends with boys as I think its a great book to have on our bookshelves.

This book is gold!!!

I love it. I loved the work the author put into it! I loved the personal stories she used. They were endearing. Every parent, especially those who have boys should read this book. I feel it should be treated like a devotional or read in bits to properly digest the profound lessons in it!

I especially loved the few questions at the end of each chapter with spaces to journal and reflect, and prayers to pray.

This book uses Biblical principles to instruct mothers on how to raise their their sons to become the men God created them to be.

As a mum of a boy, I am going to reread, reread this book until the message sinks in.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

As a mom a 15-year-old son, this book was everything to me. I also think any parent can and should read this, though those who have boys would greatly benefit from this. I loved that there were thought-provoking questions at the end of each chapter. It gave me a chance to slow down and really think about what it was that I just read.

I've been trying to read more scripture and pray on it lately and the fact that Mom's Raising Sons to Be Men interwoven Biblical principles really helped the book's points to really speak to and resonate with me. Rhonda's own experiences helped me to realize that I'm really not alone in these motherhood tasks and challenges.

Since reading this book, I'm slowing down and taking more time to not just talk to my son but to listen to him. I want to not only hear him and offer my advice, but just let him talk to me, and offer my attention and nothing more sometimes. I think I will reread this one again very soon and will definitely let all of my mom friends know about it!

I only have girls but the idea of this book intrigued me. There are a ton of similarities between girls and boys when you are talking about raising children in a Godly manner. The author shows us her heart by sharing her own personal stories about successes and failures with her children.

What I found as I read through the book is that most of the principles shared for boys correlate perfectly well with girls. Hard work – yep. Intentionality – yep. Focus and instruction – yep and yep. There are so many examples in God’s word of mothers we can learn from and this is something I found interesting. With a focus on the different ages and stages, you will find much to glean from this book.

There are three sections: Life Lessons From Moms of the Bible, Guiding Your Son Toward Godly Manhood, and Even If… Each of these focus areas have a lot to gather from it and examples to dig into. I found the life lessons an enjoyable read with a reminder that God can use it all, from the broken to the pure. The section on guiding your son gave some very practical ways to approach life and training. The even if section looks at how to move through the times of life that we hope we don’t have to ever deal with (child wanders, you’re alone, you’re scared, you don’t know what to say) but it is good to have some sort of a path to look at if you have to navigate them.

As with all things written by man and not God, take the meat and leave the bones. There is stuff that I felt didn’t apply to my situation so I just skipped right on over it because I did find other things that I could really dig into. Additionally, know the Bible first so you can identify the things that are not in line with God’s word. Note those but don’t dwell on them and move on. There can still be things gained from the book.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are my honest opinion and a positive review was not required.

I have been blessed to be the mom of two amazing boys, but there are times I wonder if I am doing it right. I have always been a girly girl by nature, so when I ended up with all boys to raise it was a bit of a shell shock, to say the least. Luckily, I have learned on the job over the years, and my parents grew as they did, but I wish I would've had a resource like Moms Raising Sons to Be Men when they were younger to help my navigation that much easier. Even being a mom to teenage boys, I am thankful that I have this resource now and can still apply many of the points to my parenting arsenal, even with my boys being older.

Moms Raising Sons to Be Men is full of practical applications and helpful Scripture references that led me to further study that goes beyond parenting. I listened to the audiobook first, but having the physical copy helped bring many of the points home and allowed me to take more notes. Rhonda has a good pace, the different sections are easy to recognize, and I never felt myself lost, even going back to particular sections more than one time.

One of the biggest parts that has continued to stick with me was letting my boys go, and trusting that God will take care of them. My boys are 17 and 16, so the thought of them leaving the nest is very real, very scary, and happening way too fast. The thought of them being out in this scary world alone is positively frightening but I've always had a strong faith for myself, so why wouldn't I have that same faith with my boys?

Listening to Rhonda’s words was like listening to a friend give advice, and discuss their faith and the Bible, and I could see this being a wonderful resource for a Christian mom group, as well as for personal study. I can't rave about Moms Raising Sons to Be Men enough and highly recommend for all of my fellow boy moms.

I had previously listened to this book 2 years ago on audio book. This book is the 10th anniversary updated edition. I am the mother of 2 older boys so I was very excited to re-read this book.

One thing that really stuck out to me in chapter one was “your success as a mother does not depend on what your son chooses to do with his life. Rather, according to Scripture, success lies in your obedience to God-in what you choose to do with your life.”

The author goes on to say that we are called to the ministry of motherhood and that the Holy Spirit will lead and guide you. I fully believe this and can witness that God has helped me raise my two boys as a single mother and as a married mother; and that God has never failed me. Has life been easy? No. Do I sometimes feel like a failure as a mom and wish I had more kindness and patience? Absolutely.

I liked all the practical advice and scripture references. At the end of each chapter she includes some thought provoking questions and a weekly video which can be used for book clubs or for further discussion or reflection. I did alot of journaling and highlighting in my book!

I also liked that she emphasized the importance of being a godly mother and using the Bible and older women as an example and for help. I have always used my own mother as an example and for guidance which has helped me tremendously. I think we can learn alot from previous generations and that we shouldn’t be too prideful or scared to ask for help and guidance.

I have read books by this author and have really enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed this one. I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

Moms Raising Sons to Be Men is one of those books that all women should get when they give birth to a boy! You bet I’ll start gifting it!

When my husband and I had our first baby she was a girl! I had wanted a little boy first but she was perfect and much loved. Everyone told me boys were easier. But then we had a boy next. And the kids started to grow up.

Let me tell you, at least in our house, boys are not easier!! I think it will greatly depend on the child, but when boys hit puberty their hormones are roller coasters daily versus girls who roller coaster throughout a month. I wish I had this book a long time ago!

In this book the author walks us through several points with grace and truth. She points us to the Holy Bible and gives us personal stories to cement the truths she is teaching. I loved how real the book is and how wonderfully written it is. Also, I just wanted to say that I think this is helpful for moms of girls too!

I have two sons. They are 11 and 9. We are at the preteen attitude stage. Being able to read Moms Raising Sons to Be Men that is written by Rhonda Stoppe came along at the perfect time. This book is a perfect blend of personal stories and Biblical Principles. I used this book as a more devotional format making sure that I prayed over each lesson to fully grasp what God had in store for me.

The world is in such a need for strong men. That is how I want to raise my boys. I want them to be strong leaders of the home. There is spaces for journaling and reflecting. I strongly recommend this book to those who have boys.

Thank you to the author, publisher and JustRead Publicity Tours for allowing me to read a copy of this book - all thoughts are my own.

This book is such a wonderful resource for those who are raising boys! While mine are still little, I really appreciated all the insight that Rhonda Stoppe provides in this book. We haven't reached the point where we are ready to have some conversations with my boys, but I like that this book got me thinking ahead to some of the discussions we have in our future and how to prepare for them. Grounded in Scripture, this book is a must have. If you have sons or boys in your care, I cannot recommend this book enough!
