Book 1: (Episodes 1-14)
Season 1: (Chapter 1-41)
Ok this is a more realistic look at how someone would act if they went back in time and had to interact with the person responsible for their downfall. The h is a naive and sheltered girl whose family was accused of treason and eventually died at the hands of an Emperor for crimes she didn't believe or fully understand.
However when she returns back to the age of 12 - the only thing she can think to do to save her family is stick to the young Emperor (who is hiding his identity by dressing as a girl) and to try and ingrate herself to him in order to try and save her family.
But we can also see how much she hates him at times (to the point of fantasizing about just killing him) and how much she resents peoples past actions- because ultimately they are the same people- even if they haven't gone through the actions yet, and by just being around them won't make them suddenly better people.
*cough cough* Abandoned Empress *cough*
But she does start to slowly understand other motivations, and why they are making the moves they did in the past. Looking forward to how this story will unfold.

This one hits different! The FL’s emotions felt so real, like I was living through it with her. And the ML, he’s all about strategy, power and politics, which makes things way more interesting. Plus, we’ve got crossdressing, a fearless FL who doesn’t back down, and secret plot twists hitting you outta nowhere. It’s kinda dark, yeah, but in that addictive way that keeps me on the edge of my seat.

It's so well written. The trauma of her past life is shown in such a realistic way. I liked the portrayal. It's not like other books where fl just starts loving the ml if he behave well in the present timeline(despite not knowing the backstory of the ml in past timeline).

Okay, I'm liking this so far.
Laliette (FL) went back in time after her death and is determined to change her and her family's fate. This is typical of an OI story but what's different is that Rupert (ML?) is disguised as a princess and obviously there's no romance between the two. I also really like how the FL is holding on tight to her anger, loathe and fear towards the ML. It also helps that neither of them trust the other. The conflicting emotions that the FL feels towards the ML at times is also refreshing in a OI story. Because both FL and ML are still children, the FL realises that he still has his humanity intact but even so, she doesn't feel sorry for him. Instead, she feels disgusted by him even more.
The FL is also self aware in that she knows she isn't smart or talented, so she can't do anything else to save her family apart from sticking to the ML and bonding with him, which makes her feel helpless most of the time. Honestly I really don't want the FL to end up falling for the ML but it wouldn't surprise me if she did because this is typical of in the genre. Well, I'll continue with S2 and see how it goes.

They’ve come a loooooong wayyy and I’m glad finally they could live happily ever after.
Rupert is just that broken soul and he truly deserves happiness. Tori scares me at times but I couldn’t help but feel sorry to her. I understand Lali’s back-and-forth feelings regarding Rupert. I mean, we cant help hating someone who has killed our family but we cant also ignore the kindness of someone. Thankfully all the secrets are out and I must say I’m touched when Rupert apologised for killing Lali in the past although he has done nothing to hurt Lali in this new life.
I looove the art. I looove how the emotions are portrayed. I looove each character. I loveee everything! ❤️❤️❤️

This Manwha is SO GOOD.
I loved to see Lali's growth through the entire season and how she slowly came to realize that there was much more than she met the eye. We get to uncover the many mysteries surrounding the Emperor and her family along with Laliette and it's actually very refreshing. The plot has me hooked!

The story line is similar to other isekai manhwas out there but if there's one thing that sets this apart from them, it's the depth of characters... it's how the author painted the characters, producing complex, troubled characters, successfully protraying the 'human nature' that makes them feel more than just 2d characters.

Empezó muy bien, me gusta mucho el trope de reencarnación y venganza así que es un plus. Además, el hecho de que el emperador se disfrace como princesa es muy interesante, quiero ver como se desarrolla esa trama porque se supone que Laliette no conoce casi nada acerca de la familia imperial (sin mencionar el hecho que debe comportarse como una niña teniendo ya la mente de un adulto).

3/5 No se que pensar de este manwha fue muy confuso poco romántico y muy desordenado en cuanto a historia y saltos en el tiempo no muy claros. Además de lo enfermo que fue que el hermano estuviera enamorado de su hermana adoptiva.. la verdad no fue uno de mis fav.

Awalnya aku tidak tertarik untuk membaca manhwa ini karena judulnya. Dilihat dari sinopsisnya, aku mengira plot utamanya akan berpusat pada bagaimana sang tiran yang kejam tiba-tiba berubah menjadi baik dan jatuh cinta pada sang tokoh utama. Aku yang merasa jenuh dengan plot yang seperti itu, sama sekali tidak menduga bahwa manhwa ini akan sangat berbeda dari manhwa lain yang memiliki plot serupa.
Dibandingkan dengan manhwa bertema regresi lainnya, manhwa ini memiliki karakter yang sangat realistis. Baik pada kehidupan pertama maupun kedua, Lariette tetaplah seorang gadis yang naif. Tapi pada kehidupannya yang baru, dia mengambil langkah yang sangat berani demi menyelamatkan keluarganya. Satu-satunya cara yang bisa dia pikirkan adalah bekerja sebagai dayang pribadi Rupert. Menurutku, ini merupakan langkah paling logis yang bisa dilakukan oleh karakter gadis yang naif dan polos seperti Lariette.
Biasanya, karakter gadis yang naif kurang disukai pembaca. Tapi menurutku, justru kepribadian Lariette yang seperti ini yang membuat plotnya semakin menarik. Lariette tidak mengerti mengapa keluarga dihancurkan. Dia tidak tahu kejahatan macam apa yang dituduhkan kepada orangtuanya. Di matanya, Rupert adalah penjahat yang tega menghabisi siapapun yang tidak sependapat dengannya. Penilaiannya itu tidak berubah sedikitpun ketika dia berhadapan dengan Rupert yang kala itu tengah menyamar sebagai perempuan.
Bagi Lariette, Rupert adalah sosok yang kejam, baik itu pada kehidupan pertama maupun kehidupan kedua. Karena penilaiannya itu, Lariette seringkali membayangkan dirinya membunuh Rupert. Jalan pikiran Lariette inilah yang membuatku menjadi lebih tertarik untuk mengikuti perkembangan plotnya. Dia mungkin satu-satunya karakter manhwa bertema regresi yang bertindak secara realistis saat bertemu dengan orang yang membuatnya menderita di masa lalu.
Bagian terbaik lainnya dari manhwa ini adalah ketika Lariette mulai memahami sisi lain dari Rupert. Keyakinannya mulai goyah secara perlahan. This story is entertaining so far. The ml still sucks so far, but I'm excited to see his character development. I know he has his reasons, so I'm curious to keep reading. Very good so far!
