Oh man this one is tragically good-plus the dialogue and art *chef's kiss*
Storyline: As plague and turmoil afflicts the empire, enchanting widow Rieta Tristi finds herself at the mercy of a malicious nobleman and his dying wish to have her buried alive beside his corpse. The plague has taken her husband, slave traders have taken her young child, and now her own life is at risk -- until an unexpected visit from the empire's outcast prince changes everything. [x]
Feeling like she has nothing to live for, but not quite ready to give up completly- Rieta takes a chance and follows her savior to his territory and attempts to continue on. However is seems that a quiet life is not in her future as she becomes more involves with the Prince.
Plus I love that

[vol. 1 = episodes 1 to 13]
i promised my bsf maryam i would read (?) this one day, and that promise has been fulfilled!! sadly, she's on hiatus rn but i'm hoping she sees this soon 💗 this is gonna be a pretty short review since it's only the first 13 chapters (or episodes, since i was reading on webtoon) of the entire manhwa and there are 200+ in total, besides the fact that it's an ongoing one, as well.
it's super sweet so far, and i love how there's an actual plot instead of it being completely romance. i've seen some people say how their romance develops slowly (so it's a slow burn, yay!!) and they each take their time to heal and grow, and i can't wait to see that! i love slow burns, but more than that, i love healthy relationships.
i feel like these 13 chapters gave us a bit of an insight into both of the mc's personalities but i have a hunch that at some point we're gonna get more of the archduke's backstory as a flashback lol. so far, so good!!
all in all, it's cute and i love how the women there are actually supportive and not all out to kill each other (as we've seen before...).
in conclusion, get ready to see me continuing this manhwa sometime soon!!

This is definitely interesting, think there is some great potential here.
These are just the set up chapters, think we are about to get into the meat of the story a little futher ahead.
I think Rietta has quite a few more secrets that we are yet to find out about.

Okay now that's I'm done yelling. The artwork in this webtoon is actually pretty good and it's really beautiful when he stops her from being buried alive. I'm kind of sad that she has no reaction to his kindness though. I don't expect her to be crying on her knees in gratitude but she's so nonresponsive. I guess that it's understandable because her whole family died but at least show a little gratitude woman. You were about to be buried alive and this man comes to save you.

Los primeros 180 capítulos los INHALÉ lit en dos días los habré leído completos porque estaba sumamente metida en la historia y en el romance (PEAK). Pero los últimos 30 caps se me hicieron excesivamente pesados. El último capítulo fue hermoso tho me devolvió las ganas de vivir que los 29 caps anteriores me habían quitado.

This is truly so beatiful.
From the artstyle, the plot, the characters, everything is just so poetic that it moves me to tears. I can't believe just how complex this storyline is and the raw emotions that this makes me feel. It leaves you vulnerable and opens your heart for everybody to see.
Rieta has truly been through so much and the depth of all of her trauma still hasn't been revealed but despite all of these hardships, she keeps living. She keeps going and despite all of the evil she has faced, her soul remains uncorrupted and untainted and so pure. She's always looking out for other people when she's the one in most need of help, always putting others before herself. She's truly a character too good that it ends harming her in the end.
I'm so glad that she has someone like Killian who truly cares and looks out for her. He's always there to tell her to rest, take a break and actually put herself first for once in her life. Honestly their romance is so cute. This webtoon is truly a slowburn but once it gets moving, it's so worth it. Killian is so caring towards Rieta. He understands the grief and pain of losing loved ones and instead of being petty and being jealous of her late husband, instead he encourages her to talk about him. To mourn him because he doesn't want her to be mourning alone. He respects her grief and that she's still not over him and that's fine, he's willing to wait for her and wait for her to heal her heart before giving it to him.
The way that they give each other kisses on the forehead as blessings, Killian encouraging Rieta to show her full intellectual aptitude, pushing her to do her best, helping her ride on horseback. Honestly, this man has raised my standards so high that I can't imagine settling for someone any less than him. He's so perfect in every which way and I'm just a melted puddle on the floor every time he speaks. The way he expresses his feelings to Rieta in such a way that has my heart fluttering and yet he still gives her time to consider his proposal and doesn't push or force her into giving an answer. He's so perfect.
Really one of the most moving webtoons I've ever read.

This whole series is a little cringe but it is a webtoon so. It's quite cute though. A moody and slightly rude but rather respectful love interest. He's not very interesting though.
The main character is truly the interesting one. She's not a Strong female character™ and a lot of her character is focused on her immense grief but she is a mysterious figure. I liked it! A lot of themes around grief and moving on.
But it is still cringy at times so beware lmao.

Sviđa mi se, ali nisam uspela da se povežem sa likovima. Teško je ispratiti dešavanja bez prethodno objašnjene situacije, a čini mi se da je ovaj strip pun takvih momenata.

Según algunos, El viento que mece las ramas es la mejor novela gráfica de Webtoon. Tras leer el primer volumen, me inclino a darles la razón.
Rieta Tristi, lo perdió todo a causa de la peste. Con su marido bajo tierra y con su hija a manos de los esclavistas, se ve forzada a contraer matrimonio con un hombre que le duplica la edad y cuya naturaleza cruel es bien conocida. Poco después, la plaga se lleva a su segundo marido y este exige como último deseo que la entierren viva junto a su cuerpo.
Mientras la arrastran para ser sepultada, un hombre interrumpe la ceremonia para reclamar el dinero que le debía el finado. Dicho hombre resulta ser el Archiduque Killian Axias, el príncipe exiliado.
La oportuna visita del príncipe permitirá que Rieta se libere de su destino y su vida cambiará drásticamente cuando se vea arrastrada en una inminente guerra por el poder del trono.
Uno de los aspectos que más me agradó fue que los personajes fueran más de lo que aparentaban.
Tomemos como ejemplo a Rieta, quien pareciera ser una mujer sumisa, débil y corrompida por el dolor. ¿Sumisa? Más bien reservada. ¿Débil? Todo lo contrario, es una sobreviviente ¿Rota por dentro? Sí, pero intenta salir adelante. Es inteligente, gentil, servicial. Es resiliente.
Killian, por su lado, es retratado como un hombre cruel, vengativo, lascivo e impersonal. Quizás sea violento pero jamás realiza ataca sin una justificación válida. ¿Impersonal? Uhm, quizás desconfianza y temor. ¿Lascivo? Creo que todos estamos de acuerdo de que es mero show.
Me pregunto como abordaran los aspectos políticos en los próximos tomos y como progresará la relación entre Rieta y Killian.

*přečteno v rámci tak 5 dnů, nevím, proč jsem si dávala takovou odmlku :'(; hodnocení pro manhwu*
Moc pěkná kresba, jež krásně doplňovala dobu, v níž byl příběh zasažen. Poměrně detailní prostředí a i postavy v pozadí byly hezky vykreslené. Oblečení také sedělo k době. Rozhodně se liší od ostatních a svým vizuálem upoutá pozornost. Konečně dílo, jehož obrázky nezáří veselými barvami. Co mě však pobavilo bylo, že pro princeznu Beatrice neustále používali ten stejný obrázek, když se o ní kdokoli zmínil. :D
Mistrovské dílo, které upoutalo mojí pozornost již od začátku. Nemám tomu skoro co vytknout. Všechny postavy byly skvěle vykreslené a hlavní mi hned přirostly k srdci. Krásně byl vidět jejich posun, a to i postupný vývoj jejich vztahu. Žádná láska na první pohled. Oceňuji, že Rietin minulý vztah byl plný lásky a nebyla vdaná za zlosyna. A ML to respektoval, nebyl zbytečně žárlivý kvůli tomu. že své srdce dala předtím někomu jinému. A respektoval i samotnou FL, jelikož jí dával čas, do ničeho ji netlačil, ale přesto jí poskytoval podporu. Vzájemně se podporovali, což bylo prostě krásné. Tak ideální vztah! Samozřejmě, že se na všem neshodli, ale pak si to vždy vyříkali. Žádná zbytečná nedorozumění. <3
Mojí jedinou výtkou je trošku chaotický poslední boj. Některé panely mohly být v dřívějších kapitolách a některé situace mohly být lépe vysvětlené. Naštěstí v komentářích byl uživatel Keith, který jednotlivé kapitoly případně doplnil. Tyhle informace jsme se nakonec dozvěděli, ale mohlo jsem je získat dříve.
S koncem jsem taky spokojená a side stories všechno krásně uzavřeli. S každou jsem si říkala, že už to nemůžou uzavřít lépe, ale mýlila jsem se. Šťastné konce jsou nejlepší! A jejich svatba byla k popukání. :D

The story begins with MC's life looking like the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident.
It is not going great.
Four stars ! I'm going to keep on reading ! The plot is intriguing and even though the pacing can seem somewhat slow, it is so very detailed that you don't have the time to get bored.
The art style doesn't look generic even though it has something familiar to it, and the costumes also differ from the norm compared to similar stories.
Reading the book feels like reading a story you should know, yet somehow you still end up surprised and wishing for more. I can't wait to see what is next even though I can already feel that is going to exceed my expectations. It's going to be a good Webtoon. I can tell.

Been reading this series casually since it started in 2021, but didn't occur to me that I'd find this on Goodreads. (I'm writing this review after reading ep 103.) (Might also be worthwhile to mention that I'm not a manwa/comic reader, usually.)
The plot is good, the characters are interesting and easy to get attached to, and dear god, the art is amazing.
If you like high fantasy, slow burn (+ sweet, healthy and mature relationship growth), pretty art, and a good story with a nice world building where romance is a natural side plot, this manwa is the perfect fit for you.

vol. 1 = chap. 1-13 (webtoon)
4.5, i actually really like this manhwa, the art style took me a while to get used to, but it seems interesting and i love the way the characters are written, i like the banter between killian and his knights and the friendship between the girls at the east annex of the manor, plus it's a slow burn! i didnt rate it 5 stars just cause not much has happened in vol. 1 and the characters / story line have just been introduced so i cant go too in depth about them, but im enjoying them so far. cant wait to continue reading this on webtoon tho (it has like 200 + chapters and will update more later)!
4.5, i actually really like this manhwa, the art style took me a while to get used to, but it seems interesting and i love the way the characters are written, i like the banter between killian and his knights and the friendship between the girls at the east annex of the manor, plus it's a slow burn! i didnt rate it 5 stars just cause not much has happened in vol. 1 and the characters / story line have just been introduced so i cant go too in depth about them, but im enjoying them so far. cant wait to continue reading this on webtoon tho (it has like 200 + chapters and will update more later)!

You know, I've actually found this story to be quite entertaining!
I was first pulled in by a IG reel that talked about the nature of the relationship the archduke had with his concubines: I immediatly wanted to know more.
Meeting Rieta was very interesting. At first, I wasn't sure what to make of her. I thought she'd just be the typical, almost stereotypical female character that is very weak-willed and had her entire world crumble around her, so now she needs a man to save her. And while that is technically what happened, it also isn't; she still very much had her own life before meeting the Archduke, and the things she lost didn't just disappear after meeting him. With characters like Rieta, I always feel like they give them the most tragic backstories in history only to not be relevant once the story starts, but with Rieta we say that she still thinks about, that she had her life, she lost it, she is moving on but that doesn't mean she'll forget it and stop carrying their memories. I liked that detail.
Also, I love just how scheming the Archduke is: I adore characters who are aware of the power of their images and reputation and using it to their advantage in the most subtle ways possible.
Edit: there is simply so much to love about this comic, the characters, their interactions, the dialogue in general is amazing and I adore the artstyle.

Okay, so I finished this entire manga on webtoon, and yes, I am counting it towards my reading goal. But I love the romance in this. I felt like the authors really focused on the character developments separately so you can see the progression when they get together. I love the side characters as well, and I felt like the ending was beautifully done. I liked that Killian gave her space to grieve instead of pushing her to make a decision on their romance and I felt their romance was very naturally done

The art threw me off since it was particular at first glance, however, I'm glad I kept reading since this is a great story.
The story-building, the world-building, the nuisance in every character, it just begs to be read, so do yourself a favor and read thing webtoon.

The mc acts like she doesn't have a presence. It's very annoying as it goes through the entire story. It goes no where, the title has nothing to relate to the story which is just stupid to me. I don't even know the basic plot of the story while reading, don't try to read this.

A manga dealing with abuse, trauma, rape, and other funny things humans do to each other. Very slow burny romance, but for a good reason. My compliments to the artists. The composition and execution of this story is excellent!

Still ongoing on webtoon (ep.131) so i don’t know how long the story will be complete. Anyway up untill now i must say that the ML and FL are one of the loveliest couple on webtoon for me, especially the ml is very gentle and take so good care to fl.
