Wow, this relationship is really progressing. I love them! But sometimes, I just wanna push them towards each other like: Bruh, you have feelings with each other, realize it already!
★★★★★ # !! no spoilers [vol. 4 = episodes 35 to 48]
does my review have to be at least 50 words to be considered a review? alright then. this is my review: i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this i love this.
I really feel for Reita, she went through so much trauma and yet she manages to have the softest and kindest heart. I absolutely love how her pain and what she went through is never overlooked or ignored, i like how the pace lets her heal and develop. It's definitely worth seeing.
43 being the title episode has my heart. The pacing the illustrations 💕 love for them is like wind on a dry branch.. man the sweet fluttering tension between Rieta and Killian is going to be the end of me.
The new title art on 44 is ok (it is symbolic though at least). It’s showing the gradual transition from the dead branches in winter to the more stylistic foliage blooming from the title.
I do have to say the traumatic moments of Rieta’s upbringing and her life struggles coming to light little by little have my heart aching for her. Her flinching and being scared of the sweet Abbot.. her fears of that wretched manservant of her abuser from chapter 1 getting a beat down was gratifying..
She has endured a lot..
Hopefully things will begin to improve and allow Rieta for some much needed self care and healing. She looks so much more lively and competent with herself at least in regards to her mannerisms by the 48th chapter.
The slow burn romance is like a single candle in a dark room, slowly burning dimly lit but the light is warm and inviting..
This series is also pretty good. By this book I feel like she's opening up to him but she's still pretty unsure if she really want to fall for him yet.
I am a sucker for the "he is so cold to everyone else but me" trope, but in this one, he is the closest manga version to a Rhysand that I have read for real.
With every chapter that I read, the story just gets better and better. This volume focused entirely on dealing with plague on Axias, with the shadow of Cevitas trying to reach closer, and the worldbuilding is amazing. I love Rieta so much, she is so strong but as been threw so much. I love how the duke wants to protect her and works his hardest.
