Unlike last time, Fallon knows who her friends are. She knows her enemy. She knows her abilities and what her blood can do—redeem fasgadair. But how can she save a few when thousands want to destroy her?

Shortly after Fallon’s return, fasgadair overrun the last refuge and push survivors across the sea to a land from which none has ever returned. There they meet a hostile race. With enemies squeezing in on all sides, even infiltrating Fallon’s mind, she struggles to continue her quest. But if she fails to find her way back, the fasgadair will rule Ariboslia with no hope of redemption … and Fallon and her friends will die.

Adrift is fascinating story world with a strong Christian message centering on God’s sovereignty, His closeness and attention to the detail in our lives.

This was a fun ride that dragged a little because of too much ‘weirdness’ and insufficient depth in describing the ‘weirdness’. Often ‘less is more’ in speculative fiction and if the author had focused more on a smaller number of ‘new’ things and allowed the reader to picture them I believe the story would have been stronger.

I loved some of the ideas, the “Taus’ time-machine thing, the ‘conversion’ of the fasgadair (great word by the way) and being able to change into your ‘totem’ was pretty cool.

Because the reader is constantly being introduced to new places, new people, new creatures, I found I lost perspective on Fallon’s mission, the prophecy/destiny that I think is driving the trilogy. In addition, I lost a sense of the bad guy and therefore, there was a lack of tension… yes, there was this ongoing threat from the fasgadair but because we knew Fallon could deal with them I was never to worried about them. Morrigan (who we didn’t really see), N’Rycha (who we only meet at the end) and Declan (never appeared too threatening) I wasn’t too sure who the bad guy was.

The last 30 pages are very good – but the real bad guy comes out of nowhere and then doesn’t last very long. Also, the ‘battle’ ended all too quickly. And once Fallon had the circle of fire around her the threat against her was negated which stole some of the possible tension.

It’s all set up for Book 3. Congratulations, JF Roger, on your imaginative abilities and being able to weave a good story based around God’s intense love for his creation, even those who aren’t human.

Again an element of Christian religion is coming through this book. But in an interesting way, faith and believing in God combines with magical elements. Two of the most opposite worlds.

Fallon embarks on a new journey when she turns 18 , and goes back to Ariboslia. Only to learn that nobody she knows, except for Pepin and Wolf, is there to guide her through a more dangerous journey. Along the way, she meets again her family and friends and new friends. But some have a secret to hold.

It becomes clear all evidence points to a land where none has come back from. As they are overrun by fasgadair, they are forced to go into selkie territory . Unexpecting things are happening with so much thrill and excitement. It is a journey of a life time, but will they come back from it alife? Especially when Fallon gets seperated from everybody she loves.

It is cleverly written and I enjoyed the story so much even with the religious elements in it.

I had a free copy for an honest review.

In book 1 of the Aribosilia series, Atray, Fallon learns about her mom and a whole other world. Now she is 18 and torn between returning to the other world to same her mom’s people; but not wanting to leave her best friend.

Stacy, her best friend, is trying to spend every last moment with Fallon. She knows she must return to Aribosilia, but wishes she didn’t have to.

When Pepin the Pech arrives to escort Fallon back, things have changed in Aribosilia. Things had gotten words. Morrigan had teamed up with someone called Na’Rycha, who was even crueler than Aodan.

Fallon thought her uncle, Aodan, was the only one capable of a mind-link through her dreams. Now back in Aribosilia, someone else is connecting through her dreams.

Adrift had me on the edge of my seat from page one. Many unexpected twists and turns. I recommend this book to young adults. I look forward to the third book.

I love this series. By now I have finished the original three. The series has my favorite genre which is fantasy or sci fi, adventure, and Christian fiction. I love to read how different authors put Biblical concepts into action. This series by Rogers emphasizes throughout the series, trust in God. Her main character is so easy to identify with as she has the same weaknesses as the average Christian. As she fights through her troubles and difficulty in her faith, it strengthens my own faith as I am sure it will strengthen yours.

A solid follow-up to book one. It hits many of the common themes of Christian fantasy, such as questioning God's orders or the depths of His grace, then finding out in the end why the orders were what they were and that His grace saves Even Me. The lessons are delivered very strongly but don't quite reach what I would label "sermon in flimsy disguise" level, though your mileage may vary. If you liked book one, I don't see why you wouldn't like book two. It has prophecies, family secrets, destiny, time travel, societal (and/or governmental) conspiracies, and of course redemption.

Action, adventure, and a sprinkling of romance!

Another great installment to the Ariboslia trilogy. Fallon goes on a quest that reveals truths about herself and her family in the midst of crumbling countries and ship wrecks. She makes some new friends and saves some old ones. This series is a great read for teens. There's a little of everything, including authentic pictures of faith all throughout.

Blind faith is great but Knowing through experience is even better!
As the story continues to progress the characters become fuller and the maze of mysteries deepens. In another realm of fantastical beasts and myths, the main character, Fallon, begins to put the missing pieces of her life puzzle together. Her faith in God and all she's known up to this point is tested to the extreme. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Outstanding! Gripping epic adventure.

This is a CAN'T Put down BOOK!! Grabbed me from the start and kept drawing me in. This series has battles, shape shifters, vampires and so much more. Great heroine strengthened by her friends and God. I had the first book in my TBR stack awhile and wish I had read it right away. Can't wait for the next book.

YA fantasy with Celtic flavor and Christian theme

What a wonderful continuation of Fallon's story! I am impressed with the incredible plot twist concerning Fallon's family. The theme of God's mercy and sovereignty are consistently carried through into the second volume and JF Rogers continues to deliver a delightful tale.

I thought this was a very intersting book that was hard to get in to and I read and it from the very beginning to the very end.

I thought the story line was a very good read and this is my opinion.

I thought the charcter line up was spot on and this is my opinion.

This second installment lets us watch the character and her friends strech and grow. She has to make some difficult choices. She has to learn to rely on God so much more!

This is an excellent book that I really enjoyed. It's not often you find a shape-shifting book that is good for teens and still interesting. So good on many levels! Characters who change, more than their shapes LOL, a good premise, great dialogue.

Fallon’s story is getting more interesting. I love how God moments are incorporated into Ms Rogers’ stories. It’s very relevant to how we feel sometimes.

Adrift is the second book in a series of three in the Ariboslia Christian fantasy series. And I highly recommend reading these books in order and if you can pick to up all three at once – go for it - as you won’t want to have to wait to get the next book in this series. This novel reminds me of the Chronicles of Narnia, as it infuses the themes of Christianity throughout. This is a fast paced world, featuring supernatural creatures and solidly fleshed out characters. The plot contains many unbelievable twists and turns. I enjoyed the episodes in this novel and the author stayed way ahead of me – a great read! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Another outstanding book in the series. Fallon and her friends continue on their adventure hoping to take their lands and kingdoms back from the fasgadair (vampires). Keeping their faith that God is guiding them even though they all go through a lot of struggles. Still, there is the challenge of defeating Morrigan. Kai is very protective of Fallon, which I hope things will continue to blossom between them. But the threat is not over yet. Looking forward to reading the next book in series.
