The five stars is based on how many poems in here I dog earred and how much it inspired me to finally open up my journal and write.

Also, David Lee in-person is probably the best human I’ve ever met. I would die for him. Had the opportunity to meet him a few weeks ago while he visited my school.

Whether or not you are frequent reader of poetry, you should read this book. From humorous pig farmer vernacular to elegant language about the sandstone slickrock country, Lee offers accessible poetry that always carries access to the profound.
