Rate this book
Resurrecting Trouble is the 24th book in the Savannah Secrets mystery fiction series.

When Julia Foley attends the Boys & Girls Club Easter Egg Hunt with her nieces, she is met with an amazing discovery. Hidden inside one of the Easter eggs is the highly valuable Fabergé Resurrection Egg! As soon as Rayna Clarke and her grandmother, Jean, come forward to claim the egg, Christian Kirkland-Wright, the son of a duke, comes forward with a counterclaim. Julia and Meredith launch their own hunt to dig into the history of the egg and discover how the heirloom, which was once owned by Russian nobles, came into the possession of the Clarke family.

Meanwhile, Julia has her own mystery to solve, one that brings her immense guilt. Bunny, the beloved cat she and Beau took in, has somehow gotten out of the house and is nowhere to be found. Can Julia and her husband work together to bring Bunny home in time for Easter?

Resurrecting Trouble by DeAnna Julie Dodson is a delightful read for Eastertime. Part of the Savannah Secrets series, this cozy deals with the ownership of the valuable Faberge Resurrection Egg.

The reader is in Julia Foley’s perspective for this mystery. Manolia Investigations, owned by Julia and Meredith Bellefontaine, are hired by Rayna Clarke, whose grandmother discovers the egg in her possession. A beautiful cast of unique characters help to muddy the waters in the investigation of ownership of the valuable artwork.

The fun part of these cozies by Guideposts is the historical element. I always learn something new, both about the United States and the world. The author keeps the tension up about what happens to the egg. Someone steals it during the investigation. Clues abound in this mystery. Evidence of possible ownership of the egg is suggested.

If you are looking for an interesting read for the Easter season, you can’t do better than Resurrecting Trouble by DeAnna Julie Dodson.

This book hit close to home because my niece had a puppy sneak out of their house last year right after they’d gotten home from a vacation in Florida. They sadly lost her.My niece is still heartbroken over the death of her puppy. I’m going to miss Julia and Meredith so much. I’m sad the series is ending.
