“A heart-centered metalhead is a thing, and you’re about to meet her!”
When a book starts with this kind of words, you know you’re in for a ride!
Amber Swenor is an unapologetic, straightforward, loud, and passionate businesswoman and along her way to becoming who she wanted to be, she decided that the only way to do it is to get unleashed from the expectations everyone else had from her and be who she truly is. In this book, she shares her wisdom and inspires you to become unleashed as well and be your authentic self.
The book is divided into three parts called Uncover, Unlock, and Unleashed and it's a fresh and different approach to self-help literature, which I loved because I'm usually not a fan of classic “you can do it if you truly want it” kind of nonfiction books. Through her life experiences, Amber Swenor talks about growing up in a toxic environment, trying to fit in and succeed in the business world, failing and getting up again, and never giving up on listening to your inner voice.
I loved her rock’n’roll writing style, flowing and energetic, dynamic and fun, but also seriously convincing. Reading this book, I highlighted so many quotes because I love these simple pieces of wisdom the author revealed.
If you were a wild child trying to keep your dreams and temperament on a leash throughout your adult life, this is a book for you.
If you're trying to break the chains of a society dictated rules that are restraining your creativity, this is a book for you.

Incredible read. I had to stop myself from reading this before bed, as I was losing sleep — staying up imagining and dreaming about my life unleashed, and waking up early to dove back in. If you are doubting yourself — especially if you know in your heart that you have something worth believing in — start with this book. Highly recommend for everyone with a big business idea or anyone who is ready yet hesitating to step into their authentic self.

Divided in three parts, namely Uncover, Unlock and Unleashed, and ten chapters in total, the book discusses being our unapologetic self, in the most authentic and unleashed way. It's not about not caring what people say, rather about caring only what the right people say.
The book has been written in the most friendly way and seems very real, it's conversational. Most of the book is the author's personal stories, raw, bold and authentic, enriched with life lessons for us and that makes the book quite easy to read and follow. The book includes steps to reflect on what limits us from being our authentic selves, acknowledging these hurdles and overcoming them. It's an interesting book, with an insight into the author's eventful life and her need of constant progress over perfection, thereby encouraging the readers to become their authentic selves too.

I'm usually very vary of selfhelp books. I'm not even sure if I should call this a self help book but all the advice...they just hit me like a ton of bricks... this book was a wake up call that was long coming... that I really needed.
Amber tells her story, her journey, in Unleashed... she is relatable and she is just so.... real? Do you understand what I'm trying to say? Even though she and I live EXTREMELY different lives, everything she talks about in the book is just so raw and real and makes so much sense! We should live our best lives, unapologetically! We should be ourselves, be true to ourselves, regardless of what people say.
We don't owe anyone anything. But we do owe ourselves to be seen..seen... to be us... say fk you and fk it when others try to use us, to mold us to be something they want.
Thank you @amber.swenor !!! You've not only opened my eyes, but you've awoken the inner dragon in me. I won't let anyone's hate, spite or pettiness be more powerful than my joy ❤️

Though I tend to reach for fiction, I couldn't help but dive into Amber's latest book, Unleashed. I LOVE Amber's personal stories sprinkled throughout the book - they help give you a new perspective on how you can turn any struggle into something to grow and learn from. While my story is different, there are parts of this book that hit home for me, including this quote, "There is no rule that says their hate gets to be more powerful than your joy." Quotes like that and others give me chills because they help you see that you can live the life you want, the way you want, without the fear of judgment from others. YES, people will still judge you, but you can choose to ignore it because those judgments don't serve you. A truly inspiring and thought-provoking read - I highly recommend!

I rarely do but Unleashed by Amber Swenor spiked my curiosity in a heartbeat!
In Unleashed: A Been-There, Rocked-That Guide To Authenticity In Life And Business, Amber Swenor shows with every page how much of a powerhouse she is.
Her personal experiences that are sprinkled throughout this book are authentic, raw, very touching, often told with humour, relatable and most of all inspiring and thought-provoking.
Once I picked up this book, I wasn’t able to put it aside until I inhaled the whole thing. It is a powerful, captivating and empowering read that I can highly recommend. Pick it up and get inspired by the author!

Amber is the real deal- she shares her triumphs and some lower moments that turned into strengths because they revealed her truth or a way to further empower herself or her biz. Great exercises as well. Recommended!

This is an inspiring book to help you ignore your haters/inner critics to unapologetically rock in every area of your life. Amber’s sharp, heartfelt book holds nothing back to push the reader to live their life authentically and joyfully, no longer holding back. Check out her book and let your inner rockstar become inspired!

As a stay at home parent, I didn't know if this book would apply to my current reality. And it does! Turns out, it doesn't matter if you're an executive director, part of a startup team, or a stay at home parent (I've been all three), Amber's guidance on how to honor and celebrate your authentic self is valuable to anyone curious if they are being all of their true self as they interact with the world. Plus, her hilarity and storytelling makes this read feel like you're chatting with a dear old friend around a campfire.
