I forgot how much I enjoy these books, this is number 3 in the DCI Reece series & was previously released as Isla’s Missing.
Bran Reece is a dependable Welsh DCI & this book shines a light on how it all started 30 years ago. The story hits the ground running with a vagrant , Arvel Baines, being put away for a killing he is adamant he didn’t do. Even then, young Bran had his doubts but now Arvel is free. What is he going to do having had 30 years to plot his revenge?
Buckle up readers, you’re in for a gritty & fast paced ride.
Killing Time is book 3 in the DCI Bran Reece series by Liam Hanson, previously published as Isla’s Missing. It starts off as it means to continue, no holds barred. It is 30 years ago and Reece is a young DC. A vagrant, Baines, was stitched up for a killing he didn’t do. The story then moves forward to the present day and the repercussions from the past. A thoroughly enjoyable and gripping read and one I found hard to put down. I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book.
Hold on to your hats, this is the third book in a sharp and exciting series. Edge of your seat storytelling with a great cast of characters. Excellent as a stand alone but you really need to understand the deepness of it by starting with book one....chilling! A police procedural book that you need to read. Reece is a nice guy...honest, just don't be a dick. Yikes!
I started this book but went to book four as I thought it was a prequel. I came back and finished it and it was well up to your usual high standard. Have you anything else out there I can read till book five is available ?
