What an amazing book filled with miracle stories! I knew of Padre Pio before but never heard just how unbelievable his powers are. And he had a link to the infant Jesus which was very powerful. What a great way to prepare for Christmas. I think I will read this every advent!

Beautiful anecdotes of encounters with Padre Pio— some while he lived & many after.
The short encounters shared are followed by reflections that tie into Advent & Christmas. Some of the stories also do too.
If you’re a believer these stories & reflection will lift & amaze you— no doubt.
If you’re a skeptic, they’ll inspire you. Reading about others’ unquestionable faith is always intriguing & if nothing else their conviction will warm & encourage the reader.
I do feel that you should go in knowing about Padre Pio already or some things may be a bit confusing as there is not much backstory or history included.
However, the snip-bits will form an overall picture of him & his life.
The devotional was made available to me on NetGalley by the publisher to review honestly.
I’ll definitely be buying this next year for at least a couple of people as an Advent/Christmas gift.

Looking forward to reading this again during Advent.

I love the format of this book. With a reflection on the life of Padre Pio. With Day by Day quotes from Padre Pio, followed by a short amount of biographical information followed by a short reflection and a relevant prayer, as well as an Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be. This book will be a great companion for multiple Advent's, and with it's portability and reasonable length, should be very possible to journey with during a busy Advent season.
