As Amelia and Zane join forces with VC agents, they must work quickly to determine how and why the victims’ organs are being removed. Is one life more important than another?

Storm’s Cut is a disturbing, horrifying and ethical questioning book.

Special Agents Amelia Storm and Zane Palmer are assigned to help the Violent Crimes Division with a very baffling case. A body was found with missing organs and it appears this was not the first one found with missing organs. Amelia and Zane will have to work hard to solve this case. The question they are asking themselves is whether or not the murder or murders are serial killers or organ traffickers. Could this be the work of organized crime? Will they find the killer before more lives are lost?

Amelia and Zane’s relationship is briefly mentioned as they work to solve this case. It is good to see them together. Hopefully, they will be able to overcome anything thrown at them.

Zane’s past appears to be catching up to him and the book ends in a big cliffhanger.

Storm’s Cut is a must read. It is not for the faint at heart. Again I had to read the book during the day knowing I would not be able to sleep if read at night.

‘Military veteran turned FBI special agent Amelia Storm returns to her corrupt hometown of Chicago to avenge her brother’s death, becoming an unstoppable force that exposes the city’s darkest secrets while solving its most dangerous crimes.’

Storm's Cut is Book #10 in the Amelia Storm Series by Mary Stone. This series turned out to be a fast-moving mix of crime, suspense, and personal drama that was so easy to get hooked on. I have been devouring my way through Ms. Stone’s series/books for a while now, and can always count on her to deliver an engrossing read, and this series didn’t disappoint.
The books follow Amelia Storm, a military veteran turned FBI Special Agent, as she tackles dangerous cases that often hit close to home - especially after returning to her corrupt hometown of Chicago.
Amelia is the heart of the series. She’s smart, determined, and unafraid to push boundaries, but she’s also human, carrying the weight of past trauma and personal loss. That balance of toughness and vulnerability makes her feel real and very relatable.
The pacing is quick, the dialogue sharp, and the settings are vivid enough to pull you right into all the action. Each book works as its own mystery - but reading them in consecutive order lets you see not only Amelia’s growth but also the bigger story threads unfolding over the series.
If you like strong female leads, gritty investigations, and thrillers that mix action with emotional depth, then this series is the one for you.
Happy Reading…

Amelia and Zane are back and working another case. The question is, is the crime with organized crime or is it a serial killer? Not much is said about their relationship except to acknowledge it in this book. Even as partners they are not together as they pair up with another set of partners throughout the story. I love the dynamic of the other partners as well. Their teamwork and humor adds a great component to the series.

The crimes are dark and the killer not predictable. A new overarching problem appears and while its development has been in the works since Zane’s background was shared, this is the first time there is a tangible clue or person to associate with what could happen. I am excited to see how this new angle will work and how it might ply out with the key characters (FBI and people from their past). Other regular characters showed up through the BAU input and the organized crime confidante.

Overall a great read, and I am extremely happy to see that there is more cases for Amelia to solve!

Brutal. But ultimately satisfying

About halfway through this novel, I came across a scene so brutal, so inhuman, that I had to stop reading it. I put it aside and read several other books, including some less grapically violent mystery/thrillers, just to try to clear my head of the images that scene had put there.
After a few weeks, I returned to this book and finished reading it. From there on, the story is more conventional, less graphically violent and inhuman in its presentation of cruelty, and proceeds to a resolution which I found reasonably satisfying - although, as with the other books in this series, there's a cliffhanger to entice the reader to read the next one.
I don't know if I'll read any more of the books in this series, or even by these authors. Mystery/thrillers seem to be getting more and more violent, more and more graphic in their illustration of how cruel and inhuman psychopathic villains can be.
This book, with its very good writing coupled with extreme, unthinkable violence, has left me with a dilemma.

In the 10th Amelia Storm series, Storm's Cut, we are met with the familiar characters of previous novels. Team Amelia and Zane are at it again, along with their FBI team and police counterparts. Young, healthy individuals in their 20's and 30's are disappearing then reappearing minus multiple body parts. Of course, they are now dead and not able to talk. Who is after this unusual group of victims? Is it a serial killer or someone harvesting organs to put up for sale on the dark web? The race is on to see what the victims have in common, if anything. Will the team find the one/ones responsible before another body shows up? This novel keeps you interested as new information unfolds. I recommend this novel.

Another good story!

I like to see the different departments of the FBI working together. They complement each other with their specialties and work well together. This is how it's supposed to be. Not fighting to see who gets credit for what. Amelia and Zane are helping the VC division when several homicide victims are found without their internal organs. Is this an organ trafficking operation? Or just a sick and twisted individual just taking the organs out for his own pleasure? Follow lots of twists and turns to find out who's responsible for these murders. Now, onto the next book!

Amelia is finally back. It was worthy to wait. I got the book, sat down and finished it at four am. What a scary thriller again. Where Mary and Amy get these unique plots? Unbelievable. We hear about organ black market, but this story will take your breath away. Psychopaths can be looking anywhere in this world. This one has an excuse that flipped me up. And the cliffhanger again at the end. Oh my the scary stuff you cannot imagine is coming. Read read read. All Mary’s books are fantastic with unique plots. It will be at the Amazon top in no time. Storm's Cut(Amelia Storm FBI Mystery Series Book 10)

OMG!!!! OMG!!!!! OMG!!!!!! I could not put this book down, it was crazy and life is going to get even crazier for Amelia and Zane. This book was crazy, it was about someone playing God, he thought he could excute 16 people and he actually thought he would get away with it. He harvested people's organs and sold them on the dark web. But because of him a part of Zane's past is now coming for him. I can't wait to see how Amelia and Zane get out this one, because he is Russian and part of the mob.

It was good to read and catch up to Amelia Storm and the team of FBI agents. The case they are working on has mystery every where they turn.
I really enjoyed the book 'Storms Cut'. Mary Stone has the gift of telling a story, it seems about your friend and people that you know. You feel as though you are right there with them all.
The continuing series is a wonderful series with, murder, mystery, kidnapping and intrigue. I enjoyed reading this book and infact the whole series and I know you will enjoy it too.

Another great thriller by Mary Stone and Amy Wilson. Amelia Storm and the gang are delving into the world of organ trafficking. Will they find out why bodies are being dumped without their organs? Is it a serial killer or an organ trafficker or the mob? Need to answer these questions to find the culprit or culprits and put a stop to more bodies being found. This was a page turner. Looking forward to the next book in the series. I am an ARC member and this is my honest opinion.

Absolutely terrifying!!
Mary Stone and Amy Wilson have struck terror in my heart with the latest in the Amelia Storm series. From the opening page I was sitting on the edge of my seat. FBI agents Amelia Storm, Zane Palmer and their entire team are faced with an incredible sick killer as only Mary Stone with Amy Wilson can create.
Adding to the intensity of this story is the Russian angle. Zane is going to face a ruthless killer seeking revenge. What a cliffhanger!!

Amelia and Shane have a medically trained person killing people for their organs.

Amelia and Shane and the rest of the team have put together a profile of the killer. These are medically trained incisions on the bodies they have found. And the only thing missing are the sellable organs. All the organs are precisely removed and gauze and plastic wrap are used to bind the bodies. Now they just have to find out the who before they kill again.

This installment has Amelia Storm and Zane Palmer working with Sherry Cowen and Dean Steelman. They have a case of murder and organ removal. Could someone in the medical field by killing people and removing their organs? But for what purpose? Trophies or money? I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

There's a maniac that is harvesting all the major organs from bodies. Amelia and Zane are working with the violent crimes division because they had no clues. Is it a serial killer? Organ trafficker?
Whomever it is, they are deranged!
I like the interaction between the characters.  All of them are interesting and really make these stories better.
A good book that is worth reading.

Another great book by Mary Stone and Amy Wilson. Amelia and Zane and the rest of their FBI crew are assigned to a case where bodies are being found with their major organs removed. They have a hard time figuring if there is something that links all of the bodies together in some way.

The book is full of mystery and intrigue and I would definitely recommend it.

Intense

Amelia and Zane are constantly being called in as agents in the Chicago field office of the FBI.
This case is as gruesome as they come. Bodies being found minus their innards. The deterioration of the first corpses make it appear to be the work of animals. Then they realize it is so my h worse. They must find the killer before more bodies turn up!

Held my interest

This story has an unexpected twist to human trafficking. It was interesting to read the different ways people were captured by the killer. Scary and creepy. I enjoyed reading the investigative questions and how the agents were putting the facts together to solve the case. Do not ignore your "spidey" senses! This is an exciting read.

It took me a bit to read this. It just didn't catch my I terest. I really like Amelia & Zane in stories before this book but in this one, they just wasn't very interesting. I finished the book but not sure if I'm going to the next after reading what its about. It doesn't even mention that Zane is in it. We will see.
