She knows he’s going to kill her. It’s too late to save herself.

FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit profiler Scarlett Bell knows her job will require her to enter the minds of murderers. But when she joins forces with fugitive Logan Wolf to track a deranged serial killer in Georgia, she learns the true meaning of fear.

Bell and Logan go after a serial killer targeting young women on Vesper Island, a quaint, quiet and safe place to live until now. Logan continues to be a fugitive from the FBI although trained by them as a profiler, he has been dispensing justice without the law. He is thin and pale from ulcerative colitis which seems to be killing him in small doses. The unsub is a tall handsome young man who fits right in on the island and in the beach community. The police chief and Mayor do not want the media to find out that a killer is on the island since the economy depends on tourism. They hamper the investigation, threatening Bell and detective Alvarado, Bell’s Vesper Police department partner that they will loose their badges if the serIal killer idea gets to the media. Logan still has a friend in the IT department at Quantico that will help him with information. With that help, He finds where the unsub has bought a house and property in the country. Despite Logan’s frail physicality, he still goes after the killer. This is a very fast paced thriller. Yes, Mr. Padavona. I’m ready for the next book!

The third novel in a must-read series, The Lost Souls is an amazing thriller. Scarlett Bell, profiler with the FBI’s BAU seems to have put herself in her boss, Magnus Carter’s, crosshairs. He does not appreciate her off the books ways and sends her out to handle a murder on her own. What Scarlett finds is the possibility of a serial killer’s actions. Wolf, ex FBI profiler turned vigilante serial killer concurs. Unfortunately, the local mayor and chief of police want all this nonsense of a killer swept under the rug. As Scarlett works with Alvarado, a local detective, and with Wolf, things will escalate and there will be many more dangers awaiting Scarlett. This wonderfully written novel has it all; an interesting, suspenseful, and thrilling plot, fantastic descriptions, and great characters. Dan Padavona has done it again and I look forward to the next novel in this incredible series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Everybody seem to have someone to pick on in this book.

Agent Bell has her boss, the Mayor has the Police Chief, The Chief has a Detective, the villain has women, Bell has Wolf and of course Logan Wolfe has the world of criminals to pick on.

This very readable book that leaves you twisting and turning as you need closure to the vile crimes. But, it seems that the villain is just out of reach at every turn. Lives are destroyed and the list seems to be getting longer' soon. How fast can police, Bell or Wolfe come to an answer and stop the next hideous death? How twisted is this criminal? How rushed is the Mayor too get closure any way he can?

I give top marks to Dan. He has crated a new criminal. He gets you into his head and his history. Dan makes you see the creature the criminal really is.

Scarlett Bell is still with the FBI and solving cases. This time, they are sending her alone to Georgia. A woman has been killed and her head on a bridge. But, is she the first victim.

Logan Wolf is still trying to track down these serial killers, but he has to be safe as the FBI is looking for him. He contacts Scarlett and they work together on cases. She never knows when he will show up or where. If the FBI find that she is working with him or knows his location, they would bring charges against her.

In this one, the Mayor of the city doesn't want it known that the FBI is there or that there is a serial killer and he tries to stop Scarlett at ever turn she makes. But, the killer has once again taken a woman and if it like the others, they only have a few days to find her before he kills her.

Serial Killer by Denial

In a small tourist attraction town on the beach, a head was found on a bridge in the park. Her body was in the grass beside the bridge. Scarlet was sent to the town to help catch the killer. The mayor and the police chief were not happy to have the FBI in town because tourist would cancel their reservation. They through up may roadblocks but with the help of Logan the murderer was found.

Great read!

Love Logan Wolfe and Scarlett Bell series! Couldn't stand the idiotic mayor and stupid police chief though...so annoying!! Can't stand the FBI director at all either! Dan Padavona is an excellent author. Can't wait for the next one and hoping Wolfe only has a bleeding ulcer and will be okay...

Outstanding!!!

Looking for an author with fantastic story line realistic characters and more twists & turns than a rollercoaster? Look no further than Dan Padavona.

another crazed serial killer put out of commission

Logan and Scarlett continue their pavane around each other, not quite trusting, yet not willing to exit each other’s orbit.

An attention-seeking, driven sadistic killer leaves a severed head on display in a public park - but dogged gumshoeing manages to give law enforcement a clue….

This book is embarrassingly bad.
The author has no clue what he's talking about. From thinking people can "quit" the military instead of being discharged, to making up a FBI search engine when there's an actual one, to thinking the mayor can fire police officers like the police union isn't the strongest union in the country.
It's almost impossible to get through this book.

Great Read

The Lost Souls is 3rd in a magnificent series. Dan Padavona is at the top of his game in my eyes.
Only one at 54 % I’m pretty sure anyway. It says

“What good what that do? I’m not complaining I know some authors like to know this and will welcome it. I’d give anything to be able to read and find errors for books. lol.

Living on the edge, secrets can bring her down

Another exciting and thrilling read. Scarlett is on her own now, her boss is on her, trying to find any excuse to fire her. Gardy has been assigned a new job. The only one to help Scarlett is Wolfe, but there is a price to pay.

Thriller book 3 is 1 of his best!

I'm having a hard time getting my self away from the book, Dan just keeps them coming. I am a fan who just keeps reading. FBI profiling really amazes me by describing the unsub exactly and even their thoughts.

Scarlett’s boss tells her she doesn’t place nice with others and decides she isn’t partnered with anyone anymore and will be working alone. He sends her on a case where a couple having a rendezvous in a park come across a severed head on a stake. Logan gets wind of her new assignment and meets her there. Logan is not well and his condition is getting worse and worse. I am worried for him and hope it’s something that can be resolved if he agrees to getting medical help. Anyway, loved the story, looking forward to more.

A really great story

Another great mystery that will keep you guessing until the end. Logan and Scarlett are the best team ever. This story also makes me wonder how many criminals walk free thanks to politics. Think about it. Also, read and enjoy.

Lost and Found

Scarlet and Logan work very well together under all circumstances. They make a great team and I really enjoy reading about them. They seem to get better the longer that they work together. I really like that the best.

After I finished The Stolen I wasn't sure how I felt about Logan and Scarlett's working relationship. Let's just say I'm back on board with them working together. In my opinion Dan Padavona gave suspense from all different sides the local mayor and law enforcement, Scarlett's boss, the killer and if Logan and Scarlett will get caught. I was kept on the edge of my seat turning the pages. I found this to be a wild ride. This is my favorite of the Logan and Scarlett Series so far. You can read The Lost Souls without reading the rest of the series but I would highly recommend reading first two books, you might have questions that might not be answered in The Lost Souls. In my opinion Dan Padavona gives you suspense, mystery and a highly unlikely pair of crime fighters. I've liked Scarlett since I first meet her in Mind of a Killer. She works hard to capture the killer and bring justice to the families. Scarlett is flawed and very frustrated with all hoops she has to jump through with the bureau. I like Logan even if he is a little on the crazy side. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.
