As unique as the title, this book is just fabulous it made me smile, made me gasp, had me reeling, with all the information overload.
I just couldn't get enough.

This book is an enlightening fantastical journey, a quest to understand and decode the origin of mythical beings. An ultimate destination to quench your thirst of everything about the unique and interesting mythical creatures from all around the world.
The writing style and presentation is praiseworthy, and the whole concept just blew my mind. It isn't a light read, each page was brilliant at the same thought provoking, it gives you mental earthquakes if that makes sense, because i was so fascinated at same time awe struck just looking at the majestic beings.
I had to pause so many times to comprehend the true meaning. A special shoutout for the exquisite illustrations.

Honestly books like this make me glad that I love reading otherwise I would have missed out on a book like this.

I always love mythological stories, as a Indian I know many Indian mythological story from childhood. Later, when I grew up I started reading greek mythology, Norse mythology, Japanese mythology etc. And this book is perfect for a mythology lover. It covered stories from Slavie, Japanese, Greek, Hindu, Persia, Norse etc. This book also covered the stories of mythological legends and creatures. The book is divided into 6 sections and 70 chapters. First page of each chapter is beautifully illustrated with the picture of the mythological legend or creature and also give a short description about the creature. Arthropoda, An ancient Aviary, Cryptic Canines, The eternal Hiss, The unusual ungulates, Aquatic Beasts, these are the six section of the book. The writer has been wonderfully explained the ties between real world and mythology. The writing style is good and language is easy to read.
I have a craving for mythology, and this book satisfied that.
Highly recommended

In the combined volume of Mythical Creatures and Magical Beasts, Zayden Stone explores diverse cultures, their mythologies, folklores & legendary talee forming a guide of all the magical & mystical beings mentioned in them.

Each tale begins with a brief popular tale followed by the description of the animal, how their legends came into existence & whether their stories have experienced a change over a period of time.

This book is rich with information & the beautiful illustrations by Herdhian gives an insight to the world we are entering.

I loved the diversity of the folklores that has been included in both the volumes.

If you enjoy the tales of mystical beings across the mythologies & folklores, and their significance in the development of the character & story alongwith their legends used as an example or warning in everyday life then surely give this a go.

Books are the one source of reprieve that most of us undertake in order to escape from the reality of our everyday lives and enter into a fictional world.

The readers are bound to love a good novel length so that they can abscond from their mundane routine, hence the reason why some times, the human problems of fictions just don't cut and we need something which will create a diversion or distraction for us.

In such situations, Mythical Creatures and Magical Beasts by Zayden Stone is a perfect book for all the readers out there as there’s nothing more enchanting than immersing yourself in a fantasy world from the perspective of the magical creatures that live in it.

This book has two volumes that have been divided into many different sections, such as Arthropoda, An Ancient Aviary, Cryptic Canines, The Eternal Hiss, Unusual Ungulates, and Aquatic beasts. Each of these sections then continue to cover unique supernatural beings.

For each and every single character that has been presented in the book, the author has provided us with their origin and also an illustration to help the readers concot an image in our mind when we are reading about them.

Even though all of them were unique and distinct in their own especial way, the two characters which I found the most fascinating amongst all of the mentioned lot would be that of Timingila and Ajatar.

Reading about the magical and mythical creatures from this book is definitely, and rather unquestionably, bound to help us take a break from reality and wonder about all the seemingly different dimensions.

A thorough research has been done by the author to put forth this book and all his efforts to piece together everything are really applaud worthy. Hence I am going to give this book FIVE MYTHICAL STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mythology and mythological stories are among my favourite genres. This is a marvellous Book of Monsters with characters of Folktales, Folklore and Mythology. The author has marvellously divided the book into six sections. Supernatural powers and mysterious beasts find its characterization in the book.

Japanese Mythology is very well depicted within the storyline. Jorohumo - a Japanese terror story is portrayed here. Newly married couple is found dead quite mysteriously.Other terror and myth are also portrayed in the storyline. Readers will for sure enjoy the context. The storyline will keep you hooked from the beginning till the end.

Another story of Anansi - a notorious spider from West Africa is also portrayed here. This take is one of the favourites from the book. The book is highly recommended for young and budding readers. The book depicts an illustration of monsters from Timeless Folktales, Folklore and Mythology. I found the book quite interesting and easy to read as the storyline is divided into six sections and thirty-five small chapters.

The author had very wisely chose the chapter's name as each chapter is the name of a mythical creature. These creatures belong to various mythologies such Greek, philipino, Japanese, Indian etc.

The book is a proper research work which is reflected by the engaging stories about mythical creatures. I learnt a lot about several mythological tales and stories behind the existence of many mythical and magical creatures globally.

The book can also be denoted as a perfect guide to the roots from where the mythological stories have emerged. The author had scribbled the true origin of every myth, every superstitous stories about mythical creatures.

The four sections paid heed to in the book are Arthropoda, Cryptic Canines, Unusual Ungulates and Aquatic Beasts.
Overall, the titles of the stories are awesome, and the storyline is quite captivating since the very first page.

"MYTHICAL CREATURES AND MAGICAL BEASTS" by Zayden Stone is a tremendous book where an author has described many mythical creatures with an excellent research.

The book is mainly divided into three sections with thirty-five chapters. It makes us aware about so many different mythical creatures and their beasts such as Japan, India, Greek, Filipino and more.

As the title suggests, the book consists of mythical creatures, their appearances, significance, and stories related to them. It talks about various creatures like Jatayu, Garud, Sigbin, Cerberus, and many more. It is accompanied by pictures of the creatures along with a description of which timeline they were seen in and what role they played.
It is divided into 6 main sections mainly - Arthropoda, An Ancient Aviary, Cryptic Canines, The Eternal Hiss, Unusual Ungulates, and Aquatic beasts.
You will be introduced to a lot of cultures. Norse, Islam, Hinduism, Greek, Japanese; to name a few.

This book opened up a whole new world for me. Reading this book made me feel so dumb, yet I was awestruck with all the legends and mythologies. The illustrations were just an added bonus to the whole storytelling. Every new creature started with an illustration and a small incident about the creature, imagining the creature became so much easier for me because of the illustrations.

I cannot wait for the Volume II of this book. A definite must read for all those who love mythologies and short stories.

The second volume of the Mythical Creatures and Mythological Beasts book, the illustrated guide takes you through six themes that have been specifically chosen since they are consistent across cultures.
Myths, legends, and folklore have always been a part of our culture, irrespective of which country/religion we belong to. Each of these stories has been passed down to our generation by our ancestors. Volume 1 of Mythical Creatures and Magical Beasts had descriptions of various creatures in 6 categories - Arthropoda, An Ancient Aviary, Cryptic Canines, The Eternal Hiss, Unusual Ungulates, and Aquatic beasts. Volume 2 continues with the same, showcasing more creatures in each of these 6 categories.
This book take us on journey of various mythical creatures of different civilization across the world such as Chinese, Persian, South African, Japanese, Salvia and many more.
Book talks about their folklore, origin, apperance and other miscellaneous stuffs which you will ge to know once you pick this up.
Some of my favourite creatures which I liked the most are Itsumade, Strix, Huma and Psoglav.
The author has done a wonderful job of compiling all classic mythological beasts both known and unknown to us and has divided the book into six parts of mythical beings and each one is unique and spectacular and sucks the readers into the world of mythical creatures and magical beings!

🌱 Not many mythology books approach the readers the way this piece of writing does. What a beautiful way to blend the animal hierarchy with the mythical creatures. The author precisely divided the creatures into 6 categories: Arthropoda, ancient Aviary, cryptic Canines, Eternal Hiss, unusual Ungulatus, and aquatic Beast.

🌱 Each category covers a fair amount of mythical and magical creatures and shares their origin as well as their consecutive mischiefs or benevolence. All the mystical creatures are skillfully culled from various countries and cultures, such as India, Filipin, New Zealand, France, Greece, Ireland, etc, providing a huge spectrum of rich mythic stories, i.e the Manga artist Mizuki Shigeru popularized the yokai story of the sea monster Kake- Kujira in his GeGeGe Kitaro series

🌱 Occasional strokes of humor make the reading all the more enjoyable. This book also explores the infusion of these mystic animals into pop cultures, showing how they inadvertently influence our perceptions.

🌱 I urge all the mythology enthusiasts to give this book a shot. This face-paced short piece of diversified magical tales won't disappoint you.
A special mention to the artist Herdhian who drew all the intricately beautiful and lively pictures of the mythical creatures in this book.

🌿 Vol 2 is also included, which means it covers another lot of amusing and diverse mythical creatures around the world. Each time before he breaking down their origin and features, the author puts a story centred on the creature which, undoubtedly, elevates our understanding.

🌿Unlike the conventional dry descriptive writings, this book conveys how some of the mythologies flowed into other cultures and countries and became a part of themselves. Stone also describes how they are dispersed in materials of various writers, like Ovid. He faithfully describes their origin and their inclusion in different pop cultures throughout the time.

MYTHICAL CREATURES & MAGICAL BEASTS An Illustrated Book of Monsters from Timeless Folktales, Folklore and Mythology: Volumes 1 and 2
-by Zayden Stone

Blurb~
Have you ever been curious about the mythical creatures that are often mentioned in passing in books you read? Or about the magical beasts you see in movies? This book is an attempt to tell their stories. Where did they come from? What relevance do they serve in mythology? Why are some so obscure, while others become enigmas? Mythical creatures that we often seen as pop culture references today have a deep connection to the mythologies and folktales of ancient cultures. This book is a bundle collection of Zayden Stone’s first two volumes of Mythical Creatures and Magical Beasts.

Review~
In this book the author has ingeniously provided each and every detail of the mythical creatures and magical beasts that we may have heard through our ancestors, read in books or seen in movies. This book is divided into six sections namely- Arthropoda, An ancient aviary, Cryptic canines, The eternal hiss, The unusual ungulates, Aquatic beasts. These sections further have been divided into chapters. In each chapter a creature belonging to that category is described. The author has wisely explained the whole story of the mythical creatures and magical beasts along with their origin and powers they own.
I was fascinated by the stories of these creatures and was immediately eager to know more about them. The details of the creatures in the book show how well the author has researched. The language is reasonable and understandable. Everything is explained in a straightforward manner. Beautifully written and well articulated. A great read for fiction lovers. Recommended to everyone !

Mythical creatures and magical beast is a fictional story written by Zayden Stone. The book is divided into thirty five chapters. Firstly, the cover is the most eye catchy thing . It gives a super rich vibe. The book is all about mythical creatures and stories related to them. The book also speaks about Arion, Bakunawa, Garuda, Signin and a lot others. All these names fascinated me a lot. The pictures of the creatures that the author added in between made the book more understandable and intriguing. The author has also explained about what roles all of them had .The beautiful narration, made me imagine it all in front of my eyes. It felt like a complete magical movie to me. The plot is well done and I really appreciate the author for his imagination skills. A very well executed book. The title is apt and the language was also easy to understand for me. The character building is also done nicely. Waiting to read more from the author.
When I first read this particular 1 of this book I was amazed at the way author had written. As a reader my only concern is how the book keeps me hooked. And that book proved that correct. It described about the various creatures in 6 categories. And if you want to know more about that buy that book. Talking about this book this is the continuation of that sequel. It describes more creatures. And this book also hooked me. I would love to say to all the readers who are thinking to buy this book that, its a best book and you won't regret. The best part I loved is that it described the different civilisation like Chinese, Persian in a very best way like it's origin, its appearance and all. There was one creature called HUMA which I liked the most. And if you want to know why then read this book you will also like Huma.

This is a much awaited combained version of this book and I am so glad to keep my hands over it again.

"Mythical Creatures and Magical Beasts" is an Illustrated Book of Monsters from Timeless Folktales, Folklore, and Mythology.

🌟 _The author talked about monsters from different parts of the world, for example, Philipino, Slavic, chiles, India, Greek, Japan, Norse, etc

🌟This book is divided into 6 chapters each deals with these creatures I.e.avian for birds,
canines for wolves and dogs,
serpents for snakes and dragons,
ungulates for hooved, animals like horses and cows,
aquatic for water-dwelling beasts.

🌟This book is not merely a book of monsters, this book briefly talks about those monstrous creature's great deeds and what is common in them, and their different tales.

🪶It's an exceptionally amazing book for mythical lovers like me. Like as I expected author just made me happy with his amazing research and made this book much more interesting than I expected.

🪶This book also got some amazing illustrations about the creatures as in volume 1. This made the book much more intriguing with its great back story running along. Folk stories always have my attention but these kinds of folk stories are what I am dying for.

As an avid reader and movie watcher, I had come across Harry Potter and Percy Jackson at a very young age. Since then, I was fascinated with magic and beasts and mythology. Lately, I was searching for good stories that would help me read more about the mythologies from different cultures and then I stumbled upon this and I knew immediately that I had to read this. The book is divided into various very short chapters for individual creatures and it is so easy to read.

There is a short popular story at the start of every chapter for better understanding of the origin of the creature. It is a standalone book which can be read without reading the previous one.

The author has done amazing research and complied different versions of the original and how they came to be. Anyone who loves to read about mythologies or folklores, then this book is for you. The one thing I really loved about both the volumes is how the author is not imposing any tale on the reader, he leaves it on the reader to believe it or not.

This book is like a treasure. The author did a great job by collecting all myth legends stories from every corner of the World.
In this book, we can find Indian Mythology and folklore characters like Garuda and Jatayu. This book is divided into the types of Beasts or Creatures. The book is divided into 5 sections. The first section is about Arthropoda, the second section is about Ancient Aviary, the Third is about Cryptic Canines, the fourth is about The Eternal Hiss and the fifth is about the unusual Ungulates. All these are related to Insects, birds, and supernatural powerful Gods. The introduction of this book will clear your vision of Mythology and Folklore. All these characters in stories are not demons but some are like Demigods and Angles. Greek Mythology, and Babylonian Mythology characters of Folklore were very interesting.
I personally found this book very useful and interesting if you want to know about different mythical creatures and the story behind them. Obviously, this is not the whole thing. Here we get 70 different worldwide famous creature history or stories. There will be more to explore and many more to go I suppose but this book gave enough information about all these.
Japanese and Scottish Legends were really surprising. Hollywood or Bollywood actually can make movies from those stories.
Overall it was a good, interesting and exciting book. Anyone who loves Myth legends stories or a believer can read this book.

BOOK REVIEW
BOOK - " Mythical creatures and magical beasts "
AUTHOR - " Zayden Stone "
GENRE - " Fantasy fiction , Mythology "

Have you ever been intrigued about the magical creatures and the history behind them? As a child, I was always fascinated about the unicorn which has passed on to my niece too. Their beauty and magical attributes puts us in a trance. After knowing about the origins of unicorn, dragon and few other creatures which are important in Chinese culture, this book was a joyride for me.

The beautiful illustrations are one of the major plus point of this book. The book contains 35 chapters but it is very interesting and doesnt feel like it's a lot. The author has introduced so many magical creatures which are unique and have a story with respect to their origin. The description is vivid and easy to understand. The author has given a elaborate and interesting explanation of creatures from various countries like Japan, India, Greece etc.

The ancient civilizations like Norse, Egypt, Roman and Native American Indian cultures have been explored in this book. Few of the magical creatures discussed are Jatayu, Garuda, Arion, Huma and more.

The best part about this book is the authors explanation and his imagination. It intrigued me from the beginning till the end. It's a must read for all who are fascinated by the magical creatures and mythologies as the author has done elaborate research and intertwined a great plot.

Highly recommended!

“Which stories would have had a higher chance of continued telling and retellings over generations - a story about a single-headed, two-handed man that had to fight lions and tigers and bears, or the story of a demi-God with herculean strength battling a multi-headed sea serpent and a mammoth-sized boar?”

The author says this in his book and one cannot disagree with what he says here, coz it’s so damn true.

If you have watched the show Teen Wolf, then you might have come across this book called BEASTIARY in it. It’s a collection of all supernatural entities in that TV show. Similarly, this book is a collection of all the magical, folklore entities we may have across in different Mythlogical stories.
I came across creatures from various mythologies like Japanese, Norse, Greek, Persian, Indian, and, these are just a few of the many listed in this book.
Each chapter starts with a scary story of the creature's encounter and then proceeds to explain its existence or how it came to be. I loved how the author went to into great detail on these chapters. It shows how much research he had done.
I am a big fan of the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan and the other mythological fantasies he has written. Some of the mythical beings that make an appearance here, have also been in that series but never went into much detail. Here I learned a lot about them.

If you, like me, are a mythological addict, this book , a combined copy of both the volumes, is the perfect one for that

Book :Mythical creatures and Magical beasts
Author: Zayden stone

Review: The book is a sequel to the book magical creature and mythical beasts volume1 The book is about folklore of creatures deeply rooted in mythology and stories.
I can only imagine the insane amount of research that went into this book .

In the Mythical Creatures and Mythological Beasts book, the illustrated guide takes you through six themes that have been specifically chosen since they are consistent across cultures. The categories include:

arthropods for insects, crustaceans, and arachnids;
avian for birds;
canines for wolves and dogs;
serpents for snakes and dragons;
ungulates for hooved animals like horses and cows; and
aquatic for water dwelling beasts.
Now this this there in the first book but is covered more in detail in this one .
There are folklore stories and myths from different parts of the country and world
I think I am thankful he penned these down as these were mostly stories passed through generations through mouths
I really thought he had outdone himself in the first book but the second volume gets even better
If you like mythology and are interested in local folklore I suggest read both volumes

This book gives you the illustrated six themes that have been specifically chosen. The categories includes arthropods for insects,🐞 crustaceans and arachnids, avian for birds🐧, canines for wolves🦊 and dogs🐕, serpents for snakes🐍 and dragons🐉, ungulates for hoove animals like horses🐎 and cows🐄and aquatic for water dwelling🎏🐡 beasts. If you have a love for the myths and want to learn about the unique beasts that dwell within them, this booknus a great way to do it.😀

The book is about mythical and magical creatures from around the world. It is divided into 6 main sections mainly - Arthropoda, An Ancient Aviary, Cryptic Canines, The Eternal Hiss, Unusual Ungulates, and Aquatic beasts and has 35 chapters. To begin with, the cover is the most attractive factor. It has a really rich feel about it. The story revolves around legendary animals and the myths that surround them.

For me, this book opened a whole new universe. Although reading this book made me feel ignorant, I was astonished by all the stories and mythology. The pictures were only a perk to the whole tale. Every new species began with a picture and a brief description of the creature; the illustrations made picturing the creature significantly easier for me.

The author also explains what roles each of them played. The lovely narrative brought everything to life in front of my eyes. To me, it seemed like a really fantastic film. The narrative is well-crafted, and I like the author's imaginative abilities. A well-written novel. The title is appropriate, and I found the wording to be understandable. The character development is also done well. I'm looking forward to reading more from the author.

Zayden Stone's Mythical Creatures and magical beasts a beautifully presented book based on various powerful characters that we have been reading in our own mythologies from childhood.

The author has tried to showcase the thing that we always ignore while reading a mythology or watching a movie based on it, the origin of some powerful creatures.
Why does that happen, because our main attention goes to the main characters only.

In this book the author has described the origination of those mythical creatures, the powers they possess, the destruction they can cause. Whole book is divided into six categories of creatures. I was so happy to see three of our mythical creatures in the book from Indian mythology. I was so keen to know their actual strength and their origin. The book has two volumes and both of them are enough to make you feel knowledgeable after reading them.

The book is indeed a wonderful read. The information provided for each and every creature is appropriate to read. The Language used by the author is straightforward. Reccomendable!

The book is an amalgamation of the author's previous two works.

This book is divided into six part, each part discusses different chapters of mythology with beautiful illustrations.

"One must wonder if the fictional writings of an author can directly influence the development of an entire army"

The variety of clans and army ranges from the Myrmidons; legendary inhabitants of Thessaly in Greece to Jorōgumo; Japanese mythology’s infamous half woman half spider demon.

The book delves into minute detail of mythological symbols presented by the Gods and Goddesses of that eras.

Each chapter is preceded by a beautiful tale to make the readers feel at ease to understand the topic.

The creatures described in the book resemble to an element or a real creature. For example, the sea monster Cetus, from Greek mythology, represents the potential violence of the ocean.

Overall the book is for mythology lovers. The language is fluid. The engaging narrative is quite interesting accompanied by illustrations.

The Mythical creatures and magical beast written by zayden stone has two volumes which is combined in this one.

I love reading mythology and there is mention of different creatures with gods and demons. Which always fascinated me to know about them how they convey their thoughts. And this is the book which describes how a person turned into creatures by their deeds, because of curse.
There are creatures named sirin, huma, simurgh, adlet and many more. The illustrations of the creatures are different as it's a mix of human face and the body part is of creatures which looks terrific and horrifying and the stories behind their origin is more horrifying.
Every name has it's own story which intrigued me till the last to read it. It looks like a big book but it's not as it has lots of illustrations which gives this book a beautiful touch of reading it.

Hats off to the Author for the book as it shows a lots of behind work. It's not easy to find the history of the creatures and portray everything in such a way. A must read if you want to read something different.

This is certainly one of the best books I have read. The story is worth your time and the way author has narrated the entire story is breathtaking. There is already two different volumes of the Mythical Creatures and Magical Beasts series. I had been fortunate enough to read them both.

The book is mainly divided into three sections with thirty-five chapters and into 6 main sections mainly - Arthropoda, An Ancient Aviary, Cryptic Canines, The Eternal Hiss, Unusual Ungulates, and Aquatic beasts.

This book is full of emotions and thrill. It has everything that is needed. It is worth your time. For those who have not yet read the previous two volumes separately of this series, they can certainly choose reading this combined volume.

There are various mythical tales related to Hindu mythology, Norse mythology, Inuit Folklore, Filipino Folklore, Babylonian Folklore, West African Folklore, and Mythology, Scottish Folklore, South Africa Folklore etc which the author has brought up in this compilation.
I would certainly recommend this book to everyone.

Happy Reading.
