I found this book to be a quick and simple read and a gentle reminder of some basic skills humanity seems to be forgetting!!
We live in a world that is increasingly digital, hiding ourselves behind screens and prone to 4 digital villans: deluge, distraction, dementia and deduction as Jim Kwik says. In the process we are losing the skills to connect in ‘real’ human relationships in a meaningful way and the ability to read people, understand them is one of the fundamental pillars of this.
I thoroughly recommend this book, it is a great read for anyone wishing to make better connections, whether you are struggling to connect with people or whether you are just refreshing and honing your skills.

Okay material; poor delivery
The author offers some good suggestions on successful people-reading, but I have never before purchased a book so full of typos and grammatical errors that sometimes made it difficult to understand what the author was trying to say, and occasionally stated the exact opposite of what the author obviously intended to say.
This book would be a much easier read if those errors were fixed.

Waste of my time
The first seven chapters spends all of its time telling the reader why they need t o read this book. A waste of time if you are already reading it. The next three chapters attempt to prove that you habe made the right choice in reading this book. The rest of the book goes into great detail on minor points, seemingly just to take up more space....A larger word count. This book could have been made into a pamphlet to convey what ever useful information it may have had to offer.

Ian is a special author that needs special attention. All his books has really helped me one way or the other but this, is great Don't waist time grab the book and read It's so fun to be Ian's reader cause his contents are just so different from other authors. You need to know to read yourself before you can read others
I found this book with very simple language, Detailed explaination and with good examples. One quote that was profound is " you need to learn to read yourself before you can read others". That left a mark. And ofcouse, other pyschological pointers were also very good. Overall, the book was very good..
