Two handsome, chiseled men. One beautiful, curious woman. Years of wicked fantasies. One vacation that promises everything…if their relationships can withstand it.
For years, Millie has known it’s wrong to want her boyfriend and his best friend—together and separately—and has battled guilt at every turn.
Luke, on the other hand, has long-since given up pretending to feel nothing for his best friend’s girl.
And James? Well, he’s always fostered the longing that his girlfriend and his best friend feel towards each other, because he wants to give Millie everything she desires—and more. Not only that, but his own primal urge to share Millie with Luke—her body and her soul—has become too strong to resist.
On the sun-drenched sands of a sultry beach vacation, the three must make a choice: to stick to their relationships as they’ve always known them, or to become something different. Together.
Book one in the Beachside Ménage series. Summer might be over, but your erotic fantasies don’t have to be.
Author’s Note: Featuring three points of view and chock-full of dirty dialogue, titillating foreplay, and steamy sex, Shared is a MFM romantic erotic novella that focuses entirely on the woman with no MM scenes.
Maisie Beasley writes contemporary romantic erotica that focuses upon mutual consent and shared pleasure—erotica written “through the female gaze,” according to one reviewer. Whether that means two lovers—or three or more—may depend upon the story, but Maisie promises to deliver dirty dialogue and steamy scenes to keep you titillated until the final page.

Ok - this is one of the best, hottest erotica novellas I’ve read thus far AND it managed to pack in so much more than just smut in the 100-odd pages of content. The 3 mains were equally enjoyable, and the way their relationship developed was really well done.
During the pandemic, I’ve been expanding my reading horizons and (re)discovered my love for romance novels.
Initially I considered them a guilty pleasure, but honestly I feel *zero* guilt. They’ve been a delightful way to give my stressed brain a rest. They help me work through emotions. And the writing (something that often gets dinged when it comes to romance) is on par with commercial fiction.
And you know what I learned? There’s an entire cohort of readers who adooooore romance, for good reason: there’s something for everyone—chaste, completely filthy, and everything in between—it’s an easy and safe way to dip a toe in the mouth (err, I mean water) of exploring different kinks, and there’s no shame in any of it. What’s not to love?!
SHARED by Maisie Beasley was one of the more… shall we say, exploratory? reads of my romance adventure. This little MFM novella is full of steam! 🔥While a short read, the characters came to life and the dialogue was legit—not cheesy or overdone. It was like dropping into the middle of a movie, but only for the good parts. You knew these characters had history, you got a little backstory, and you’re there for the journey through this moment in time.
And when I say steamy, holy cats. Prepare yourself. This one makes you glance up from the page, look around to see if anyone is noticing the rosy hue suddenly gracing your cheeks, then nestle deeper into your reading spot to keep going.
Anyway, it was a delight, and don’t ever let anyone make you feel a certain way for liking what you like—whether that’s music, or clothes, or books, or even what happens in the bedroom. And with that, I hope you have an adventurous weekend!
The spice was spicy and enjoyable. Some of the transitions were difficult because one minute were one place and the next minute five hours has passed, so transitions, if they happened, did not happen well.
I heard about this book from Clutch my Pearls Podcast. Barbara, girl, this was so nastily hot. 🥵
Millie and her boyfriend James have been together for 3 years and are still deliriously happy. But things heat up even more when James expresses his interest in sharing her with his best friend, Luke.
Millie is excited about the idea because of her undeniable attraction to flirty Luke. And Luke is chomping at the bit to get a taste of Millie after years of lusting after her and hearing about her and James' sexcapades in great detail.
Will the three of them together be explosive or destructive?
SO SO SO HOT. This is EXACTLY the story I was looking for at the moment. I had this absolute craving for a ménage with basically this exact trope -- close best friends where one of them is in a serious relationship and wants to share his girlfriend with his best friend. And this checked all of my boxes.
It was super steamy. The tension between these three was on fire and the sex was so hot. It was literally everything I was looking for right now.
The bromance between Luke and James was so good too. I honestly would've loved if this had been MMF, but even as an MFM it was still so hot because of the strong connection between Luke and James.
Millie was good too. She was laid back and definitely up for the whole thing. I also liked how she was respectful of James' initial boundaries (and so was Luke too). Really good.
Overall this was fabulous. I actually went into this thinking that the whole trilogy was about just these three, but I realized afterwards that it's three standalones. But that's fine. Despite being a short book, it packed quite a punch and was super hot and sweet too.

There is an exquisite deftness with which Maisie Beasley drops a reader into the lives of three people they know little about and automatically makes them care, rather desperately, about what happens next. Any concerns that the author’s haste in diving straight into the crux of the story may sacrifice the build-up and tension necessary to make an ambitious tale like this work are rapidly assuaged within the first few pages. There is more than enough in the book to keep your attention glued to your screen until the end. For me it was in one sitting! The undeniable chemistry between the characters and the author’s unflinching nerve expertly weave a tale of pure, unapologetic excess, where the woman is refreshingly portrayed as a keen subject of pleasure rather than a mere object. Maisie Beasley cleverly forces us to ponder the abstract nature of devotion and where those limits (if any) truly lie.
MFM, Praise Kink 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ A very good novela, I could not put it down, and read it all in one sitting. The majority of the story is focused around sex, with lots of emotional undertones. By no means is it an innocent love story. The language used to describe their encounters left nothing yet everything to the imagination, in the best of ways. The setup of the story was fast, and right to the point, but not in a way that would feel rushed.
meh okay - writing was different, a lot of uncompleted sentences (i know its to convey they are all in the s*xual haze but still, it was a bit annoying to read every sentence...) and huge paragraph
This novella is pure smut. But If that’s what you’re looking for then it’s worth a read. It’s a quick read only 80 something pages. It features Millie and her boyfriend James who are on a trip with friends. James knows his best friend Luke has always wanted Millie so he decides to share. There’s a scene with her and James, her and Luke and then one of them all together.
DNF 30%. I’ve read this author’s work in fanfic and this author is an absolutely fantastic writer but this book didn’t work for me.
This book had no character build up or sexual tension - it just jumped straight to all 3 leads lusting over each other from the outset but then it took half the book for the MFM smut to happen so it felt like the book was dragging
This story is absolutely filthy, one long session of dirty talk and steamy interactions - I loved it! What I particularly enjoyed about it though, is that feelings were involved, ending with a satisfying conclusion for all parties.
Pretty good book. Spicy content would say 3.5/5 spice. It was pretty short and I feel like they were just starting to get into the story so I guess I have to read the others to find out more
By far still the best spice I’ve read. Genuinely keep this one and the other two in rotation and come to them every few months. Cant get enough of them. Sooooo good. Wish this author would write a hundred more because I’d read them all.
