I should never have fallen for the enemy… But here I am, trapped in an inescapable prison with one of them.
The mission was supposed to be routine. Eliminate the target, consume his soul.
All of that goes out the window when we lock eyes, a mate bond clicking into place.
My entire life unravels and the beliefs I had clung to from an early age begin to look less like truths and more like lies.
I fight the desire that builds, but I’m no match for the connection we share. And as if caring for one demon isn’t enough, I find myself unable to get the arrogant alpha and the caring phoenix out of my mind.
I went from hating them to fighting for their freedom and my own.
And when my traitorous superior threatens me with a task I cannot avoid, I know it’s only a matter of time until one or all of us are dead.
How can I save them if I can’t even save myself?
Fighting for Monsters is the second book in the Falling for the Enemy series.
3.25 stars. We get to see Wren and Wes get closer due to their situation. Dash and Bo's friendship. They both had me laughing so much in this book. We meet new characters, we learn something new about Wren, and then cliffhanger. And, there was a nice spice scene at the end with ALL of them. And there was more plot in this book, and WAY more fighting scenes.
Favorite quotes/scenes:
-"I have a serious question." "No, Dash, I'm not attracted to you." "Okay, for one, I don't buy that. And for two, that's not what I was going to ask. But you're going to think it's weird, so hear me out." "Fine. What is it?" "Can you smell me?" "I'm going to stab you." "You said you would listen." "I can listen and stab at the same time." (Dash and Bo)
-"Wren may be small, she might be dainty and beautiful as a flower, but she's poison wrapped in a deceiving package and she is my perfect match." (Wes)
Two demons, a phoenix, and a hunter walked into a bar…. Wait that was the last book. Action, adventure, romance, so much death, and explosions, this book has it all. I love this book so much. Book two has so much going on I couldn’t help but binge read it all the way to midnight. My only regret is that I now have to wait for book three to release to find out how it all ends.
AHHHH! I love this series so much! I was grabbed from page one and so invested in what was going to happen as the group was separated. I love Wren so much! She's seeing her life in a new light now and I love that she is staying so open minded.
There are lots of things that are revealed in this one. We also meet some new characters and see some others in more depth. I finally got some answers on some of the questions I had from Stolen By Monsters, only to end up with more questions that I need answers to.
The last 30ish% was insane. I was not sure what was going to happen. I was on the edge of my seat and was super worried about the end. It does end in a cliffy and I need answers! I need to know!!!!!
This book definitely keeps you on your toes, the suspense and tension are thick, the steam just right, and the mystery keeps you hooked. Book 2 begins with Wren and Wes fighting to stay alive in an inescapable prison. One that Wren used to work for. We finally get a peek at some truths from book 1. Not sure who is the big bad or what is going to happen next. But I definitely cannot wait to see what happens.
And that ending...all I heard in my head when Tremount heard her full name was that “She knows. Ooo she knows” song from TikTok. AHHHHHH. I screamed out loud. I have too many questions. I need answers in the form of book 3 asap please!
That’s going to take some processing - in all the best ways! First, I’m so glad I was right about what Wes is, I felt awesome about that. LOL Okay, as for my review- an absolutely 5🌟 story! What happens when Wren and one of her guys is locked away in Rockbridge and her other two guys are stuck in Hunter territory? Well, a whole lot is what. All four of them had the time and opportunity to figure out how they feel about each other and the weirdly impossible situations they seem to be in and I had all the feels while they were figuring it out. There were parts where I was wound so tight because I didn’t want anything bad to happen and there were also parts that had me laughing way too hard (pitcher of ale, anyone?) but I was still so engrossed it only took a few hours to finish. But that ending!!!! What is this new secret discovery? I have some thoughts, but I really want to see how it all unfolds. I’ve already preordered Fated to the Monsters!
Luna Pierce completely consumed me with this story! I fell even more in love with Wren, Wes, Bo and Dash. Watching them love, fight for, and protect one another was quite the sight. And seeing Wren release herself from all of the mind washing bs she endured at the hands of Parla and the hunters, and really see the demons and other creatures for who they truly are, ultimately no different than her was truly wonderful. Wes and herself selflessness to protect and get others to safety was incredible.
More than anything I just truly loved the deep seated bonds that have grown between Wren and her men. Despite their pasts, they have all come to accept and care for one another deeply. I’m waiting with baited breath to see what happen in the next book!
Fighting for Monsters is the second book in this amazing series! This book was a nail biter and will have you on the edge of your seat. Wren and Wes are in the fight for their lives as they are now prisoners. Though being prisoners together also brings them closer as a couple. I really loved this story. Some truths are revealed and lost loved ones are found. This was an action packed read full of suspense. Can’t wait for the next book!
Can I please just fangirl over how good this book was. Wren and Wes have been captured, separated from Bo and Dash. There’s everything you could ever ask for in this book, tension, action and romance and it’s all in perfect amounts. There are so many impossible situations and it’s a rollercoaster ride from page one, I just couldn’t put it down and ended up finishing it in one sitting.
Absolutely loved everything about it and I can’t wait to read book three.
All I’m going to say is I freaking called what Wes was!! I just knew it. In the first book I thought to myself “he’s this”. Yup. I was right! This one I feel had a lot more action. I really enjoyed myself and am eagerly awaiting the third and final book! I still have so many questions!!!
I haven't read the first book in series, but saying that I was able to jump into the second one with almost no issues! Im sure I missed some connections and ties but overall I LOVED the plot and the characters were amazing!!
5 stars!! Could not put this book down. Once I heard about the 2nd book coming out I went straight into starting the first one and was so into the story. Wren is such a badass and i love the monster trio characters so much!!
This book picked up where the first book left off, but with a lot more action. We get to a different side of Bo which made me really happy. If you haven’t started the series I suggest you get started. This is definitely a must read!!!!
It was ok. Very predictable. Not bothering with the third one as it's plain obvious what's going to happen. It just didn't keep me hooked unfortunately.
I enjoyed the first book in this series, but Luna Pierce definitely outdid herself with this second book. "Fighting for Monsters" had me at the edge of my seat and while I loved every page I also dreaded each turn, because I knew I wouldn't get all the answers I'm desperately searching for. The cliffhanger at the end of this book is one that will keep me up at night with lots of thoughts and possiblities.
I adore Dash...! He probably won't like me saying so, trying to be a fierce fighter and all, but he's such a cutie pie! He's the ray of sunshine in this book I really needed, because a lot of other parts are tough to swallow. Still, in between all the torture and pain, I loved the growing bond between Wes and Wren and the connections they built in this prison. So many possibilities for the final book... I absolutely recommend this series!
This one was a nail bitter I almost cried :-( I laughed I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen. If was so good, I love how she and the guys are introduced to more demons and Bo is able to find some of his family. This book was sooo good it’s a must read. I can’t wait for book 3
Betrayed by her superiors Wren and her mate Wes find themselves trapped and sent off to prison. If the two can't manage to save themselves, her other mates will have to come to the rescue. They make new friends and of course some enemies too. The banter at times was cute but I did find myself drifting away from this and struggled to stay engrossed. Ends with another cliffy and Wren beyond ready to take out her ex superior and save the supernaturals from a horrible end all so she can gain their powers.
Luna really brought the action with this book. There are some pretty epic battle scenes along side some heartbreaking relationship developments that will make you feel every emotion on the spectrum. You will be held captive by their struggle, their desire and their will to fight against their oppressors.
Wren this women has lived a lie, has been brain washed and manipulated beyond belief, the best thing about being trapped in an inescapable prison is it crushes you completely. If anything being captured is the beat thing ever for Wren, it obliterates her previous self and preconceptions and opens her up to the truth or her world and many of the people in it.
Wes is just amazing, we have still only scratched the surface with what he can do but we he can become, well that's beyond even the scope of his imagination. I love how his relationship with Wren develops and how utterly selfless he was with everything he could give her whilst they were trapped but she did prove that was a two way street.
Dash and Bo these two were left on the outside but never gave up hope on getting Wren and Wes back. I loved how the bind between these two was shown and strengthened throughout their fight to get the rest of their team free. They really are chalk and cheese but they compliment each other so well.
This book is filled with trials, torture, battles and relationships. It is filled with heart felt agony, love and sacrifice. I was held hostage by each page and couldn't put it down.
I absolutely enjoyed this next book in Luna Pierce’s series. I was on the edge of my seat for this book, anticipating and wondering what was going to happen next. I also dreaded the end to come, but that’s only because it was left on a cliffhanger and I had some many questions. This story is so captivating, I stayed up late to read it, and couldn’t be more happy with how the book was written. Luna did an amazing job with this book.
The main FMC Wren, let me tell you…she is a fighter. And not just physically cause she’s an assassin–I think that’s what she is called lol, well, more specifically she fights monsters, or used to–but mentally as well. I have grown to love Wren and her ways, and she is such a strong female character that I love it so much!
Her men? (Bo, Dash Wes). I really loved how her relationship with Wes grew throughout book two vs the first one. Dash? I love this character so much, he just makes my heart melt, especially the way that him and Wren’s relationship grows. Bo? He is starting to grow on me. He wasn’t always my favorite, but this second book definitely made me like him a lot more than the first book.
Overall, I absolutely adore this book, and it is a fantastic continuation to the series. Especially when the first one left me hanging, lol. Well…I guess this one kinda did too, but any who, Luna did amazing. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a monster romance book! Another great book!
Wes and Wren have been captured and are locked in the very prison they were trying to infiltrate -- Rock Bridge. While there, Wren's eyes are opened even more to the truth about the hunters and their leaders.
As they try to escape from the inside, Bo and Dash work out and escape plan for them from the outside.
A pretty good follow up! I'm actually really surprised by this series. I wasn't sure how well-written it would be or if it would hold my interest. For some reason I was on the fence about it. But it's turned into a great little series. The storyline is really interesting with just the right amount of romance too. I really like it.
I did not love the separation between Wren and the guys, though. I don't love that kind of trope in romance. But they are all together again at the end of it so that's good.
I loved seeing each of the guys (especially Bo) soften a bit along the way. I can't wait to see how things progress between them all in the final book.
I am also super excited to see where the portal leads them to. And what is Wren exactly? So exciting!

Fighting For Monsters is an action packed, fast paced, enemies to lovers story. The characters experience multiple setbacks and have periods of self-discovery that evoke an array of emotions in readers. Wren is an amazing character that is strong, determined, and fearless as she discovers she's been used to further her bosses agenda she struggles with regret and anger that fuels her desire to escape. The magic in the book is amazing and ever evolving with some awe-inspiring descriptions.
My only complaint is I devoured the book in a day and now have to patiently wait for book 3. I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars. Anytime a book takes me on an emotional rollercoaster and allow my imagination to soar I have no choice but to give it 5 stars!
This book is for adults only due to graphic sexual and violent content. I would recommend this book to those that enjoy fantasy romance, it is a reverse harem where the female doesn't have to choose between her love interest. I will warn that there is torture in here as well. However, it's not too graphic. If you're into action packed wild adventure, fantasy worlds with magical creatures, and enemies-to-lovers with more than one partner this book is perfect for you!
Let's talk about that ending first. WHY?! I am all for cliffhangers, but that dropped right in the middle of a MAJOR event. I will constantly be anxious about this until the next book 😭 Wren is more than she appears to be, which I'm guessing most of us have already guessed. Bo & Dash have some serious bonding time - this solidifying between them is going to do great things for the harem. I won't lie; I for slightly frustrated with Wes and Wrens interactions at times. Not for the reason you think, I was so frustrated that these two couldn't just word vomit absolutely everything they were feeling. It took them so long to finally understand they had it bad for eachother. I'm all for the slow burn, the tension & confusion of it, because we've for a monster and a monster hunter. Of course that would be confusing. BUT communication is so important! I love the new characters we meet, the answers we get and the struggle to guess what will happen next. And I hope Parla gets what is coming to her 👊
Stumbling onto Luna Pierce’s books has been one of the best happy mistakes. I found her via TikTok, and added her Untamed Vixen book to my TBR list. After finally devouring that stand-alone, I realized she was quoting another book. I knew I needed to dive into that book as well and I am so glad I did.
Fighting for Monster is the second installment in the Falling for the Enemy series, and it does not disappoint! We fighting (literally) to the end and we’re still left with some questions that’ll get answered in book 3! Wren is having to come to terms that her enemies may not be who she assumes they are. Plus, realizing that her life might actually be a lie, no one wants to ever hear that.
I’m so happy to see the relationships developing, and I don’t think I could pick a favorite. That’s the point of an RH right?! I think… Dash may be top guy?
I can’t wait for book 3, it’s going to be amazing and I can’t wait to see how Luna finishes their story!
So this picks up right where book 1 left off with Wren and Wes being captured. Except now Wren is no longer part of the hunters, she’s the hunted and boy they weren’t lying when they said the prison is hell and no one gets out. It hurt to watch Wren and Wes be so close, but yet so far away. But they each make possible Allies while trapped in a cell. Bo and Dash aren’t out twiddling thumbs either. They want their leader and their girl back. Much to Bo’s dismay she has become their girl. This story is so captivating that I was on the edge of my seat more than once wondering if this was it. The ending however did leave me hanging with more questions, because while we knew Wren was important…. It seems we don’t know how much. This book is a brilliant continuation of the first and if you haven’t read the first, you’re in for a treat with this series. Definitely a 5 star read from me.
I feel torn with this series. I really like the plot, but I find myself bored and skimming through portions of the books. I feel like there's too much inner monologue and sometimes it feels repetitive. While I like the characters, I feel like the plot is getting in the way of character development. For example, in this book our harem is separated. Wes is the only one in the compound with Wren. But they aren't really together. Bo and Dash aren't there at all. So, there can't be relationship building under those circumstances. I would like to see more of the characters together working on their relationship. Again, I like the characters. I just need to see progress, and no, sex isn't really progress in my opinion.
I am enjoying the series even if I can't give it high marks. It has entertainment value.
Luna Pierce/ Tessa James is becoming my favorite author. I read the first book Stolen by Monsters before it was renamed and LOVED it. This was not different. The last book ended with Wren and Wes being captured…Wren is a hunter (cliffhanger shows she most likely more) and Wes was a hellhound shifter but never took full transformation he gets there here in this book. All while Wren and Wes are working on escaping Bo and Dash are trying to evade other hunters and help them escape from outside.
This book the full RH also comes together with all kind of realizing and accepting their feelings that they have for Wren and Wren them.
Can’t wait for the third book have a feeling it’ll be bitter sweet as it’s the last book in the series.

Wren and Wes were taken, while Bo and Dash are left behind to figure out how to rescue them from the one place that nobody escapes from. New characters introduced, some that turn out to be very important, while some don't last long. It's a race against time, will they save themselves and possibly some around them?
This 2nd book of the Falling for the Enemy series has it all. Adventure, lots of fighting, and we finally find out WHAT Wes is for sure. Sweet moments, even in captivity happen. Luna Pierce knows how to write an exciting story with many characters that you just become invested in and their wellbeing.
That ending tho..... talk about a cliffhanger, how about barrier-hanger???? Book 3 is going to start with a bang I predict!
Oh my, this story was so incredibly good. It has so much action throughout the entire story. We continue where book 1 leaves off and have major changes with Wren, Wes, Bo and Dash. They definitely go through a lot in this story as they try to navigate their survival. It had moments where there was humor and then moments where there was pain and anger. As we journeyed alongside of them we experienced all these incredible moments as they did. Will they survive? Will they learn the truth of it all. These are questions that we hope to find out. This extremely well written and developed. It does end in a major cliffhanger and I absolutely can’t wait to read the next book.
Fighting with Monsters is book #2 in the Falling for the Enemy series. Its a paranormal reverse harem.
This book is gonna have you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails, hoping they make it thru!
Wren and Wes are prisoners, they are getting tortured, Bo and Dash are trying to find them and free them, and it gets a little dicey!!!
There is so much action in this book!!! And that shower scene at the end, HOT 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I dont wanna give anything away, just go start this series if you havent yet! Wren, Bo, Wes, and Dash are amazing and i can't wait for the next book!!!
It’s a very fast paced, action packed book that ends on a cliffhanger. You are introduced to these characters in book 1, but you get a new perspective & background of them in book 2. You also discover what Wes is. In this book, we pick up right where book 1 ends with Wes & Wren in the Hunter jail where they are struggling with their captivity & torture! New challenges are introduced, & new friends are made while Bo & Dash work to try to get them out. It is very fast paced without too much build up, but it makes for a quick read! It’s an RH with some spice (would’ve liked to see more). You have a strong FMC, Enemies to Lovers (kinda Insta love in book 1), fated mates, magic, & action.
This series has been so much fun. There's a ton of suspense and action and the spice is perfect. I also love that they're nice quick reads that keep my attention span in check.
I really love the characters, they're all so strong and loving. These four love each other so dang much and it's been such a treat watching them grow together and fall in love. I always love a fated mates dynamic too, especially when other members of the group aren't fated.
The audio was great. Marnye Young and Tor Thom are phenomenal in this DUET narration. I loved this listen.
Thank you to Audio Sorceress for this advanced copy!
