“You break everything you love!”

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 🖤💙❤️💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 🙂🥰😎
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Fergus Monroe (a.k.a. Fergie) - before moving to Emerald Beach California, she was known as the blind freak in her school, until a popular football player made her his girlfriend. He ended up betraying her by posting a sex video of her online. When her father married Collie Dio, she was able to change her identity and start over. She fell for her stepbrother and his friends and was again betrayed in the worst way. She doesn’t plan to run this time; she plans to get revenge on the Poison Ivy Club by taking them down.

The Heroes: Cassius, Victor, Torsten - They are the Poison Ivy Club. The do favors for people for a price, all having to do with college admissions, and getting certain people into Ivy league colleges, often at the expense of others who should have gotten in.
Cassius Dio (a.k.a. Cas) - he is the stepbrother of Fergie and has a rage problem. He is a killer and likes to be rough in bed. He thinks Fergie betrayed them by coming into his house under false pretenses to take the three families down.
Victor August - he is the caring one. He likes to be seen as safe to women and loves to take care of them. He fell hard for Fergie.
Torsten Lucien - he is a tortured artist with some form of Asperger’s. He isn’t good at talking to others and Fergie was the first girl that really seemed to like him, the first to want him.

The Story: The book starts out with a flashback to when Cas and Victor were dating a girl named Gemma who ended up killing herself. The scene was pretty dumb if you ask me. Gemma’s parents wouldn’t allow her to see Cas and Victor anymore, so Cas killed them, though he was put up to it by his brother Gaius. It was all pretty strange. I couldn’t see Gaius’s motives. He ended up claiming he did it and he went to prison for Cas, though as it was happening, he seemed to be pushing Cas into committing the murder.

Like I said in my review of the first book, that the reason I like these bully romances is not because of the bully parts, but the parts where the main characters become like a family, and they work together against outside forces out to destroy them. This book went a little too far in the revenge Fergie takes agains the Poison Ivy club. I wanted that part to be over quickly, and it wasn’t. I didn’t like who Fergie turned into while taking her revenge and it took way too long for her to get back with her guys.

This audiobook is told in multiple points of view in dual narration. Angelina Rocca, Myles Washington, Nelson Hobbs and Aaron Shedlock narrated it. Like with the first book, they did an excellent job, and I really enjoyed the narration. I just wish it was done in duet rather than dual narration, then we wouldn’t have to listen to men voicing women and vice versa.

Well, remind me not to mess with fergie!

After Fergie had to live through revenge porn being put on the Internet, she goes upon an EPIC mission to exact her revenge upon Cas and Victor, whilst relying on Thorsten for a sense of contentment in her life, soon realising that this revenge plot goes deeper than dhe previously understood.
SH went hard with this book. It's not gentle, and I was so here for it! 4.5⭐️

Torsten,I'm pretty sure he is Autistic.
Cassius, well, he is dumb: I don't understand why he doesn't understand what he did was wrong. All he had to do was ask anyone like his best friends or his mom...but no and caused drama for no reason. And he shouldn't make Fergie apologize for anything.
Victor he leans too much on his sister, and that got him in trouble because she was a spoiled brat. And used all of their information for her own gain. But I do feel like Fergie. Punished him too much for what he did. Which isn't much other than going to his mother first, then her..

I cannot believe she can forgive that!?!!?? Or that she’s even willing to try… it’s unforgivable! 😳😤

The drama, the betrayal, the twists—this book had me screaming at the pages! 😵‍💫🔥 The tension was insane, and the emotions were all over the place.

Dark, messy, and addictive—I couldn’t look away! 👀🖤

Revenge is always sweet, and this book had plenty! So many bully books gave the FMC forgiving too easily, but Fergie gets her revenge and makes them crawl back.

Nice cliffhanger finishes it off, so I'm heading straight in.

Sooooo wow. This book was the definition of revenge. The FMC was so brutally wronged for no good reason in the last book and she made them pay for it. And she got creative. Really hit them where it hurt. The rage she felt was so intense at times.

I lived the multiple perspectives. That allowed the reader to see how everyone was feeling and reacting to the revenge. The plot of this book was crazy. I literally didn’t know what anyone was going to do ever. I still very much dislike all of the mothers. They all suck for different reasons. The tension between them and the drama that split them apart was wild. Their empires were falling apart.

I’m so glad the group made up by the end. I hope it doesn’t crumble again because of the article. The fact that Eury published it against Fergie’s advice AND put her name on it without consent is just wild. And now look what’s happening.

Juliet is a dark horse that I think they are all underestimating. She got way too quiet after Fergie’s revenge on her. She’s plotting and I know some of this insider drama is her. Also, why the hell did Victor not say anything about her trying to collapse the empire and why the hell did Cas not say Juliet convinced him to do what he did to Fergie?? Like she’s dangerous and no one is talking to each other. I was really looking forward to everyone talking and getting everything out in the air and then the article happened and shit is hitting the fan.

I hope in the next book that the four main characters take a hold of the reins some more and fix some of this shit that they are responsible for. I don’t want them to break apart again. I’d love to see them united and strong.

Praise the lord!

Let me just say, I was more than glad that this book didn’t start in the most obnoxiously and disturbing way on the planet. In fact, this one started off much calmer and more serene.

Now, that being said, this book is more angsty. More tension in a darker way that is not necessarily a carnal urge. Because of this major change, the story had an entirely new dynamic in comparison to the first. And I enjoyed it a lot better.

There were quite a few new characters introduced in this one as well. However, their introduction (or lack of introduction) made it a bit confusing from time to time. I thought a bunch of times: “wait? Who is that?!”

This book is one big taboo situation. Not Fergie fulling admitting she’s in love with her stepbrother… and here stepbrothers getting a bit too riled up because of her existence. It showed.

This book wasn’t entirely filth free.. I mean, it kind of felt like they saved all of it for the last 35% of the book. And don’t get me started on that milk frother! WHAT ON EARTH WAS THAT?! WHY?! NO?! How is she okay after that!? I mean!? That thing could cause some serious damage!
Of course this story book can’t skip another family orgy… with a ton of ✨butt stuff✨

Side note: I lowkey hate the pet name “Queen”. It’s very icky to me..

After what Fergie was put through at the end of book one I knew she was going to cause chaos and oh boy did she. With things still up in arms and Cali , Claudia and Livvie still in danger from an unknown source Fergie agrees to meet the elusive Zack Lionel Sommesnay who wants her to work with him to bring them all down but Fergie only cares about bringing the poison Ivy club down. She takes her revenge against Cas , Julia and Victor and Torsten stands by her and is there when she needs him to help. The cliff hanger is a bit brutal but I’m looking forward to the final book when I know Fergie is going to reign supreme over all those out to hurt her and her family.

Book 2 of the trilogy and you definitely need to read the books in order. The first book was intense with a cliffhanger that almost made me throw my phone out the window when I finished the book. This book also ends in a cliffhanger, not as intense but every bit as good. Fergie has really become a strong character and is slowly becoming more intricately involved in the business of the three leaders of the crime families. There is an unknown threat to Fergie, the boys and their families that they need to battle before someone takes them all out, but there is still time for some seriously hot spice between Fergie and her boys. I'm ready to jump into the next audiobook! FYI: The audiobook makes the books even more intense with a cast of narrators to give each main character their own voice thus bringing them more fully to life.

The CLIFFHANGER!!!!

Revenge is so sweet.
Taking back the power that was stolen from her is exactly what Fergie does in this book.

Breaking EVERY Poison Ivy rule and twisting them to destroy the very ones who hurt her.

Torsten- is her rock. There when no one else was.
Cas- burns the world down only to find his Queen has been in front of him the entire time.
Vic-finally realizes that he can't fix everything for everyone and grovels at her feet.

I wasn't expecting the second to be as good as the first but I was so very wrong!

Before I dive into my review, I want to advise that this isn’t a standalone. You have to Poison Ivy in order to understand and follow this follow up completely. This is a dark series and does have triggers, so please read the warnings at the beginning.

Steffanie pulled out all the stops in this continuation of the Stonehurst Prep Elite series and I am here for all of it.

Fergie’s worst nightmare has happened again, only this time it’s ten times worse because it’s done by someone she loves. Instead of cowering away and hiding this time, this strong young woman takes revenge into her own hands and she isn’t playing. You know the saying “There’s nothing worse than a woman scorned” - Fergie proves this and then some. I LOVED seeing her take back her power.

The guys? I was intrigued with Torsten in Poison Ivy and completely fell in love with him in this one. When this young man loves, he loves with his entire being and existence. He stood with Fergie thru the storm and proved himself worthy of her love.
Victor ate a huge piece of humble pie. I adored watching him learn the truth, more about himself, and earn Fergie’s trust and love again. I loved seeing him throw away all of his pride to grovel and beg forgiveness
Cas is still a hard head, but one that I have grown to love and respect more than I expected. When Fergie “spoke to him in his language” had to be one of my favorite parts of this book because of the raw grittiness of it. This young man learns that he deserves love and can love, and even when he messes up horribly he can earn forgiveness.

Steffanie had me in chokehold this ENTIRE book. It’s hot, it’s angsty, the twists and turns are killer, and I do believe I may have pulled a muscle from laughing over a certain stunt involving methylene blue. She continues to blow me away with her ability to paint worlds with characters that I find myself thinking about long after I stop reading. Her ability to keep me engaged, engrossed, swooning, and laughing all while keeping me on the edge of my seat are beyond words in my vocabulary and this book is proof of her talents. This is my favorite series by her (so far) and I am dying for the next.

Should have DNF’d.

In this second book in the series, the author forgot a lot of what she had set up. Pretty sure two characters changed skin tone and a kitten went from ginger to black, Fergie has a tattoo in a fight scene and later on is getting her first tattoo and a lot of other continuity issues.

Another pet peeve of mine is when an author treats her readers as dumb. Surely, the reader does not need “emo music” explained. Or when the author feels the need to explain things that previously happened like we may have forgotten.

She also mentioned her other series again. ( Fergie once again recommends a series she is reading by this cool author Steff Holmes).
Cringe.

Fergus was all over the place here. For example, giving her boy CAS a beating that results in brain damage. Lifelong damage to his brain, affecting his memory and speech.
Then causing a huge amount of trouble for the purposes of making the plot dramatic. None of it made any sense for the character. She goes to a new level of cruel and depraved by crucifying her ex bf in a sadistic and gruesome chapter. It was too far for me. Fergie was extremely unlikeable/detestable as a character at the point for me. She was awful. I started wishing she’d be arrested for her crimes. No HEA’s deserved here.

These books have been heavily influenced by Royals of Forsyth U series but don’t have the depth or spice or romance of that series. The dual POV here is weak. I love dual pov when used well. Here, none of the characters made me feel connected. I really couldn’t understand how they all loved Fergus. Was sick of the description “ her shattered emerald eyes” mentioned a gazillion times. Yes we know she is blind. does it need to be mentioned all the time.

FYI the author is blind so it’s inappropriate to comment on the portrayal of blindness in this book except to say, this knowledge and experience could have been used as a point of interest to create depth and realism which was lacking in the character of Fergus who I hated.

Everyone is trying to survive the bombshells that happened at the end of book 1. Luckily, Fergie has Torsten and her bff to help her get revenge on the rest of the harem, especially her stepbrother. I know she is going to forgive him eventually but what he did to her is so reprehensible that I am going to be super annoyed when that happens. Torsten is an absolute sweetheart who is devoted to Fergie and they readily accept each other's differences. Vincent grovels and really didn't have anything to do with the revenge except I don't like how he makes excuses for his twin who is vain, and selfish and assisted in the horrible things that were done to Fergie.

How far is too far when it comes to revenge? According to Fergie there isn’t anything too far. Be warned this is dark!

In the second book of the Stonehurst Prep Elite series we follow Fergie as she want revenge on the wrong that the Poison Ivy club has done to her and others. But how will her revenge plots affect the world outside of the school? What is the point at which revenge is just an excuse to take down someone who wronged you.

Fergie was broken but she won’t stay down. Fergie fights fire with fire as she plans the demise of the guys she fell for and trusted. From small pranks to near murder there isn’t anything that’s too far for her. While fighting her battles is hard she has the support of Euri and Torsten. But who will help her and who will lead her astray.

Torsten is only one who will stand by Fergie’s side throughout all her pain and schemes. Torsten is always there for Fergie and does anything and everything to help her. Wether it’s to hack, be there for support, or just get her out of her head. Torsten is by far the best supportive boyfriend in this book! While he has his own struggles he is always there for Fergie and will literally run butt naked through town to find her and make sure she’s safe.

Victor is willing to do anything to prove to Fergie that he loves her and was not in on the sex tape leak. Victor has to choose between his sister and Fergie, causing rifts in his family. While part of the original revenge, Victor proves he loves Fergie and will always be there for her.

Now onto Cas! Cas is a literal psychopath with so many issues that saying he needs help is an understatement! Cas believes he was betrayed, lied to, and will do anything to protect his family, even if that means going after his family. Cas is dark and possessive and once he has his mind set on something he goes 1000%. So when he finds that Fergie has a new identity he will do anything to protect his family.

Juliet is more of a background character this book but I have a feeling she will be more prominent in future books. After the stunts Fergie pulls Juliet is sure to want revenge for herself.

The revenge
While the main revenge fights are between Cas and Fergie there are many that affect other people. While some of these go far beyond what some would deem, there are some I would like to highlight.

Overall this was an amazing sequel to the first book and I was so happy to receive this as an arc. While there are some things I felt maybe went a bit too far I can also see the need for it. Fergie has to show that she is tougher than the guys think and the guys need to learn how to actually show someone you care. In this world power is needed and you can’t be weak. I can’t wait to read the next book and find out what happens to everyone.

SPOILERS TO SOME OF THE REVENGES

Jell-O shots: Such a simple thing can blow up in the best ways. Using super expensive drinks from the clubs private collection can make the jello so much sweeter.

Papa Smurf: While I had originally expected hair removal to be the surprise for this, I absolutely loved the blue dye. Something that can’t be easily swept under the rug and stays for weeks!

The fashion show: This revenge brought into the light exactly how far the Poison Ivy Club has gone. Featuring all the girls that were coerced into doing stuff or being attacked by Juliet showed the family’s how far the silly little club went

Kikka - per RFS
.
Ora vi saluto e vi auguro buona lettura.

An overall fun and interesting second installment to the series. I'm so glad the action continued. Despite being over 500 pages, none of it felt like filler. Fergie is a woman who knows her self worth and does not let anyone who betrayed her off easily. This goes down as an A + grovel for me. She grapples with her feelings for the guys throughout but does not just roll over and despite being attracted to them her brain doesn't shut down when they're near her. I had some issues with this story.

1. I think for the first time, it's revealed that Cas is Black. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE PROBLEM. I'm excited to see more diverse range if characters. However, his depiction rubbed me the wrong way as a Black woman myself. He's "animalistic" brutal, violent, and acts on his baser instincts as it's said many times throughout the story. At one point he's even referred to as an ape which was honestly a hurtful comparison. I hope that author did not mean to offend or portray stereotypes but I feel the need to address it. It may be possible she has some unconscious bias to examine.
2. This is a small thing but why is everyone 19 and in high school? Did they all flunk a grade?
3. Juliet got off way too easy but I digress. Fergie's revenge is amazing.

The triumvirate is amazing, I love to see women in power. I love that their boys grow up recognizing that women are to be respected. And I love that throughout the story, using a woman's sexuality against her and slut shaming is constantly being called out by the characters. I'm excited by Fergie's overall trajectory and character growth and the boys are willing to apologize and work to rectify their mistakes. Fergie is written to be as brutal as the boys and that's something we NEVER see. Her revenge plots actually sting, she's not just playing cute little pranks like we usually see with this type of story. Can't wait to see where the rest if the story takes us!

Poison Flower is the second book in a reverse harem series featuring three notorious bad boys: Victor, Cassius (usually referred to as Cas) and Torsten. I previously reviewed the first book in the series, Poison Ivy.

I thoroughly enjoyed Poison Ivy, so I was dying to read the sequel, Poison Flower. Unfortunately, the things that bugged me about Poison Ivy only magnified in Poison Flower, and I was left feeling ‘meh’ about the book.

First of all, in Poison Ivy it is already hinted that the male love interests (Victor, Cassius and Torsten) are part of three notorious crime families. Their mothers form the Triumvirate, in typical Roman-era style, and together they rule the criminal underworld. I found some of the sub-plots related to this already far-fetched in the first book, but it only gets worse here. Murder, torture, blackmail, you name it, and it happens. But it’s not realistic, nor is the way the heroine deals with it.

I still liked Fergie, the main character, but she’s obviously diving off the deep end and I don’t want to see her at the bottom of the abyss. It looks like she’s headed there, though. She had every chance to get out, to redeem herself, but she’s only allowing everyone else to pull her back further and futher into this crime world. Fergie has a strong personality, sometimes, but she allows others to influence her more than she thinks or realizes.

The book ends on a cliffhanger, but I’m not sure if I’ll pick up book three. I’m a bit disillusioned with Fergie and her antics. I do have to say I really enjoy Steffanie Holmes’ writing though, and reading the synopsises of her other series, I’ll definitely pick them up, but I’ll probably skip Poison Kiss.

OK. Wow.
Fergie is on the warpath!!! And fair play to the girl - where most of us would shrivel up into a bawl and wish we could disappear..... Fergie finds that little kernal of "bada$$ B!tch" that we all have and nurtures it into full growth and let's it loose on the Poison Ivy Club.

BUT. She doesn't realise its going to have a knock on effect with their parents and cause a rupture through the solid foundation the trio of women have had for decades.

This book is written so well. We see it go beyond high school antics and silly revenge plays (altho the papa smurf thing is funny!!).

When they realise how badly they've affected the triumvirate.... Its too late.

The cliffhanger was unexpected! I actually thought we were coming to an end! It felt like everything was coming so wrapped up..... Nuh uh!!!

So well written again.
I love reading from Fergie pov aswell. It doesn't detract from the story at all, in fact it enhances it, especially when it comes to the relationship with Torsten. I love that boy! I still think he lives with autism, or some kind of strain of it. His way of communicating is by his drawing and my heart felt for him when Cas destroyed his work. That was a low blow by him...

I can't get into any other book!! I need to know how this ends!!!😆😆

Thank you for something that's caught my attention - it's been a long time since something has done it to this degree!!

Fergie is devastated, and utterly furious. The men she trusted and she thought she might even be able to love, have betrayed her in a way she doesn't think she can ever forgive. But they have forgotten that she knows their secrets, and she will use any ammunition necessary to have her revenge. Victor and Torsten knew who she was, what she was hiding, but they neglected to tell Cassius and he did something that could blow up their lives in ways no one could have predicted. When the truth is revealed, the next generation may be the only ones able to save their families if they can forgive each other and learn to work together.
Wow, I love these characters, all of them! This author's characters are always well written, compelling, and believable in the fascinating brutality. Exciting action, bloody violence, a bit of suspense, and unexpected twists in the plot. This is a must read very, very dark romance with a lot of deliciously carnal steam. A quick warning, there may be some triggers for some readers. I highly recommend this book.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Poison Flower, the second book in the Stonehurst Prep Elite series by Steffanie Holmes and a captivating continuation of her fabulous dark high school bully RH romance featuring a badass heroine and the three men that wronged her and are now paying the price…

What happens when the children of three well known mafia families come up against a kickass FMC that has nothing else to lose? Utter perfection!

After what the guys put Fergie through in the first book to say that she is out for blood and revenge is definitely an understatement! If you love your revenge a little bloodthirsty with a side of vindictiveness, ruthlessness and a touch of poetic justice then this is the one for you!

Holmes has a poetic way of creating slightly psychotic characters that just call to you and this book is no exception. Fergie’s journey and heartbreaking pain was so poignant you couldn’t help but feel and thirst for revenge right alongside her.

Overall if you’re a fan of bloodthirsty fearless heroines and the sexy men she takes along the way then buckle up because this is quite the ride! And that ending?!? I need book 3 stat!!!

I skipped through book 2 so hard I’m waiting for someone to knock on my door and demand bail.

I can assure you, stupidity prevails here from the problems of book 1.

Cas is 100% still a self-serving, brat of a temper-tantrum throwing man child who couldn’t see past his own nose if he were Lord Voldemort himself and he doesn’t learn Jack of a lesson anywhere in this whole book.

Vic is still pathetic but he grovels pretty. ✨🌈💅🏻🧚🌈✨

Torsten is Torsten.

And by the end of the book (tho I’m not entirely sure bc I skipped harder than a CD player over a paved road made entirely of potholes) I’m pretty sure she forgives them all(?), sleeps with them again(.), and the ending plot twist made my eyes roll so hard they could have been double checking for my sockets.

The FL letting them back in after what they (he) did (Cas. Tho, I can respect the drip for flaying Vic too bc who doesn’t like a roast) is not a great look for someone who should be absolutely unforgiving for what happened to her… again. I watched self respect die while I tried to argue pitifully I just wasn’t being feminist enough. No. Absolutely not. In what world do I route for my strong female heroine to waltz right back into the gaping, cavernous void of her sorry-not-sorry, nepo-baby attacker and his little dog Juliette too. 🔮🧙‍♀️🧹

WOW! Just wow! This book put me through the wringer. It made me cry, laugh, swoon and definitely want to jump through the screen and strangle lots of the characters!
Fergie! The baddest bitch of them all! She’s a force to be reckoned with! Everything she did for revenge was EPIC! I love how strong she is, even after everything she’s been through she doesn’t fall apart. She still loves her men even though they hurt her. She has the biggest heart and I’m hoping everything will work out!
Torsten! He’s my favorite. He’s such a cinnamon roll! He’s so good to her and I love that she’s his muse. He’s the one who goes out of his way to learn braille, mix special paints so she can see the paintings too🥺.
Victor! Ughh why does he have to beg so fricken prettily😏. He would give up everything and everyone just to be with her. I’m so glad she forgave him.
Cassius! I hated him with a passion this book, I honestly didn’t think he would get redemption. Do I still hate him yes. Do I hate him as much no. But he better be doing a hell of a lot more groveling!
The spice!! So good!! The scene in the classroom🥵. Something about being caught, damn!
The way they call her their Queen! I loved that.
I can’t wait for book 3!!

Stephannie's 5 + Star Review:

Fergie is out for blood! When the guys she thought had true feelings for her betray her she is out for revenge and it is a dish best served cold! This is the second book in the series and Fergie isn't going to sit around playing victim this time around she wants to make the Poison Ivy Club pay. Torsten stands by Fergie throughout everything because she is it for him. Victor second guessed Fergie and she isn't in a forgiving mood. He is willing to do anything to prove to Fergie that he loves her and so she will forgive him. Cas thought the worst without questioning Fergie and leaks their sex tape. He is out for blood as well. Who will come out on top?

This book is an amazing dark book. I loved it! Fergie is finally fighting back and I love every second of it. I loved it and can't wait for more. I can’t wait to read the next book and find out what happens next.
