I like Ruda, but don’t like the drama with his mother. I can’t wait to find out more about her bopping back and forth and why March 2nd is so significant to it. Also, GAH! Foreshadowing with her future BF!
Though I kinda feel bad for the friend-zoned two, they kinda did it to themselves.

2 stars, personally ⭐️ Korean Webtoon/Manhwa (full color comic)
Much better than the first volume of this series, but it does take awhile to really get into the plot-line if I remember correctly (from when I read 100+ episodes years ago). It’s strange having to wait for these official English editions to be released, so it felt a little…jumpy? sudden? just non-smooth? to read and be back into this second volume. No time has past in the fictional world between volumes (this is common for manga and manhwa) but feels a little strange to read because of it.
I think some readers are going to be a bit frustrated with Dani in this volume. She’s been living for three years in the shadows of her popular friends—and she knows that she’s currently in a novel, at that—but it comes across a bit sudden for her to want to separate herself from them. However, we see her anxiety and flashbacks from those prior years in this volume that really adds to her concern about the future and missing her friend group, so her worries make sense and it was good to see them try to help her without even knowing the full story.
After reading the first volume, I was concerned that I didn’t remember this story right in terms of content and my enjoyment level, but this second volume reminded me how interesting the concept is and how much I like the friend group in general. The first volume was rough in my opinion on the content, but this one was thankfully much better. I plan to continue the series for now, but would give the heads up to go into this knowing series that it’s very slow pace and not a lot happens.

I really enjoy the premise of the series - the idea of being pulled into a light novel is always fun, and the cast of characters is cute too. The second volume keeps that charm but really explores the darker side of what Dani is going through. Always wondering if her new friends will get pulled away from her is pretty rough. On the bright side, the friendship and communication between everyone is really heartwarming.
That said, the execution isn’t always as smooth as it could be. The flashbacks or time jumps make the pacing a little hard to follow. I found myself wishing that the story had unfolded more sequentially, since that could have made certain moments land with more emotional weight.
Still, the premise and characters make up for the structural bumps. Everyone’s love for Dani really shows and makes you want to keep reading.

I don't really understand her thinking with wanting to keep her distance from them at school, but not outside of it. Like... you'd still be making memories together. So, that drama takes most the book. I am surprised by how much she confided in them! Plus, the first day of high school is so funny.

The fun continues with a side of trauma in My Life as an Internet Novel, Volume 2. In Volume 1, we were introduced to our main cast of characters then thrust 3 years into the future where Dani has befriend all of the "Love Interests." Throughout volumes 1 & 2 we're given flashbacks when necessary. While volume one makes it seems like Dani lived a casual life for those three years, volume 2 reveals that Dani was in fact traumatized within those three years, and that trauma has reinforced her belief that she cannot/should not get close to any of the characters in the novel.
Despite that belief, Dani has bonded with the characters and she finds herself debating what to do. She wants to pull away from them to protect herself from future heartache, but she doesn't want to hurt her friends either. It's an understandable conundrum. Alas, it's not an easy one to explain to one's friends, especially when Dani reasoning for pulling away from her friends is that they are not real.
What makes Volume 2 so wonderful, however, is the genuine bond of friendship between all the characters. The situation they're all in a complex, and it would be easy for any of them to be mad, but each of them does their best to approach the situation with empathy. They don't always succeed, but they try, and that is really nice to see in a book.

My Life as an Internet Novel, Volume 2 by A Hyeon and Yu Han-ryeo was even better than the first volume! It's getting so interesting with the mystery of how Dani ended up in this world and why sometimes it seems as if she's going to leave it someday. But her friends are all so sweet and want to be there for her, and I LOVE IT, and she decides to keep being friends with everyone even though it's risky. Then, when they start high school in the second half, a whole slew of new characters turn up in Dani's new class. Intrigue! I really, really hope volume 3 releases fast, or I'll have to go read the chapters on tappytoon cause I NEED to know what happens next!

This was a really fun read! The characters have really grown on me and the friendships are so sweet. (Not to mention that there's enough eye-candy to induce a sugar-coma!) The level of melodrama was sometimes a bit much, but it made me laugh more often than not. However, because of this, the deeper, more "hard-hitting" moments didn't really affect me as much they ought to have. In essence, I struggled with the tone slightly. Nevertheless, I definitely enjoyed this more than the first season and I look forward to reading the next!

I really do love the concept of this story. I only wish the execution would be a bit more clean. Sometimes the story will jump either in time or character and it would take me a few minutes to re-place myself in the story.
I love how Dani kept calling out the author, it always made me chuckle a little.
I do still love these characters and I’m interested to see where this will plot line will go but I am worried that we are now introducing too many characters and I may get a little confused in volume 3.

Ermergersh! Eunhyung! Oh my heart! Oh my stomach! Oh my head! Season 2's first chapter is still my favorite in the series.
It's been interesting semi-studying my experience in reading this unique-to-me form of storytelling (webcomic). It has it's definite pros and cons.
I think it was during this season that I realized the series is a reverse harem, basically an extension of the blond/brunet trope that I hate. But I also realized that I was still enjoying it and figured out why very quickly. Dani never agonizes over whom she likes best. She puts all her energy into guarding her heart and is therefore oblivious of the attraction happening around her.

There's more character development in S2 which is good. And as usual, Dani's friends are amazing so I wish she would have more confidence in herself and in them because they care about her so much, and sometimes she seems selfish when she tries to distance herself from them to "protect" them, which is quite frustrating.

This series comes off as cheeky and cute and superficial. But if you actually give it a try, and you enjoyed series such as Romantic Killer and My Next Life as a Vileness you’ll quickly see that there is a deep lying metaphor/message in this series. I have only read book one and two and the overall message is a young girl who enters a world similar to hers, and doesn’t want to get involved with the characters who already assumed to know her. The series takes place over the span of middle school. So it is not a temporary adjustment. The main character has to endure. You find out in this book that her second year of middle school, she disappears again back to her original world. When she transports, she remembers her time in the other world with her friends, but it turns out that our friends memories are erased of her existence. She is able to return to the second world, and our friends regained their memory of her.
The thing that haunts me, the most is that she is so afraid of telling her friends that she is scared of them, losing their memory of her. If you think about it and compare it to the real world, she is living the teen experience of enjoying all of those teen memories only to know that one she becomes an adult. Everyone will go off to do their own thing, and they will have your number in their phone, but they will not call. The series is emulates the idea that we make these childhood friends and we make these memories with them all ultimately separate and create adult memories that exclude our childhood friends.

Picking up where we left off in volume 1, Dani Hahm continues to believe she is simply living the life of a side-character in an internet novel.
In my opinion, this book was much better than volume 1. We get more insight into each of the different male characters and their relationship with Dani. Because of that, each of them felt more distinctive and less likely to blend together, which was a problem in volume 1. We also get to learn more about the stakes and plot of the story, instead of it just feeling like an aimless series of middle and high school shenanigans.
But this volume really shines when Dani decides to tell one of the characters that she has disappeared from their timeline before. This is not a normal occurrence in most isekai stories, and when it does happen, it usually occurs further into the novel, when the main character – who is the one from a different timeline – has developed a strong relationship with the other characters. But because of all the time jumping in volumes 1 and 2 of this series, we get this moment toward the end of volume 2 when Dani begins to feel lonely. This helped heighten the emotional stakes. We then see the other characters swap stories of a time when Dani disappeared; then, we see them rally around her. It’s this turn that gives the reader a better idea of where the story is going and pushes the plot forward.
As in volume 1, the art and coloring is well done. I continue to enjoy how the author and artist style their spreads. Text doesn’t clutter the page, and there are a lot of story beats that are driven solely by the art. Link to complete review: https://ysbookreviews.wordpress.com/2...

I knew when I read vol 1 that I would be reading vol 2 because I love this series already! In this volume we see the friendships growing more as our main character adapts and grows used to this new world (albeit, she's not fully ready to accept this as her world now). The friendships are so pure and beautiful. I am envious of her friendship with Yeoryeong.
We also see our main character open up with these friends more,
These cliches are so fun and are cliches for a reason. I love seeing our main character trying to be normal and avoid these cliche tropes and characters, thereby drawing them in more! It's hilarious and such a fun light read.
Also the art style shows so much emotion! I really like how much character is put into the art.
I really loved this read and will be reading more of the series. I also will be buying them for myself once they're out because they're just so fun and cute. I definitely recommend it!

I really enjoyed the second volume of this series.
The characters are fun and I like how volume 2 really established relationships and personalities more. My favorite would have to be Cheonyeong. He is so much like a character in a K-drama that I would absolutely lose my mind over. He’s such a babe with a cold exterior but you can tell he really cares. The way he and Dani interact is SOOOO CUTE. I literally blushed and had butterflies. They really evoke the feeling of when you first start to notice someone in a different way, but you are still in denial. I would love it if they ended up together.
I liked the fact that the mystery of the novel has now been shared with the whole group. It is nice to know they are all truly friends and now will go through everything together. It gives me a lot of anxiety, in a good way, worrying if someday they will forget each other. They are such a cute friend group, you really want to root for them.
The addition of the new characters is also really fun. I especially like Ruda Lee. I feel like they bring extra mystery and may be the catalyst to some feelings coming out regarding the original group.
The art is really beautiful, particularly when they are outdoors. The character designs are also really nice to look at. I like how everyone is “pretty”, but they do have their own unique characteristics. I think the aesthetics really go with the theme of the story.

Okay! Now this is getting gooooood! In volume one of My Life as an Internet Novel, we were introduced to Dani who thought that she had been magically transported into an Internet novel and associated different parts of her life and the people in it to common tropes. While we were “told” that this was happening, to the reader, we had no solid proof. So what we were left with was a mystery of “what is happening?”
In volume two, we’ve jumped in time 3 years. The characters have all graduated middle school and they’re entering the next phase of their life: high school. While Dani, her best friend & neighbor Yeoryeong, and the four kings of school have all been consistently put into the same class every year since they met, this suddenly changes when they begin at the new academy. Dani is all alone, while her friends are all together. Which in her eyes is just “the author of her story” adding another trope.
I enjoyed this book much more than the previous one. Don’t get me wrong, they were both really great, but where we had world building and character introductions before, we’ve now gotten more meat to the plot. There is even an actual example of how she could have been isekai’ed. (Read it to find out what that is😝) So to me, she is looking a little less “off her rocker” and I may believe her… a little bit. We’ll see where the next book takes us though.

While Dani, her best friend & neighbor Yeoryeong, and the four kings of school have all been consistently put into the same class every year since they met, this suddenly changes when they begin at the new academy. Dani is all alone, while her friends are all together. Which in her eyes is just “the author of her story” adding another trope.
I enjoyed this book much more than the previous one. Don’t get me wrong, they were both really great, but where we had world building and character introductions before, we’ve now gotten more meat to the plot. There is even an actual example of how she could have been isekai’ed. (Read it to find out what that is😝) So to me, she is looking a little less “off her rocker” and I may believe her… a little bit. We’ll see where the next book takes us though.

My Life as an Internet Novel Vol 2 is a fantasy transmigration story and the second volume of the series. After being transported into the world of an internet novel, Dani has accepted that this is her life now. Her best friend is gorgeous and has four potential suitors - all Dani has to do is be the supportive best friend but she fears losing everything and waking up back in her own world. Willis these fears prevent her from forming true friendships?
This was such a fun read! Dani was an engaging character and I understood her fears about losing everything. I enjoyed how she eventually communicated these fears with her friends and their determination to support her. The full color art in this volume is beautiful and I loved the introduction of new characters
Overall this was a fun five star read. This was a good continuation of the series with setup for the continuation of the story and I am excited to see where it goes next! This manhwa does have some potential triggers, so please check if you’re sensitive. Even though this story is based around a romantic internet novel, there’s no on page romance in this volume so no rating for spice will be given

Thank you to random house and NetGalley for the early copy to this. The story itself is laugh out loud with certain references to classic tropes in the WEBTOON genre. Our heroine is navigating living in a WEBTOON world with the real possibility she may leave at any moment. It is equal parts funny and angsty with well drawn characters and beautiful coloring.
I will say the adaptation knocks it out of the part. The art itself if beautiful but the way they have updates it to the paper or e format is stunning. I absolutely love the colorful chapter titles and pages that make it really all come to life.
I will say that I do not think I will continue with this story. As far as I know the story is still ongoing at 250+ chapters with no clear end in sight. I also am not a huge fan of not knowing who the ML is until the very end. Not to mention I was not a huge fan of the back and forth between past and present. It was incredibly jarring as a reader. In addition knowing what happens in volume 1, having volume 2 start in a random chapter between two characters listening to music felt odd. I felt that it could’ve happened earlier but that’s just my two cents.
Overall great story and beautiful. Just not for me in the long term.

Dani's problems have just begun in Volume 2 of My Life as an Internet Novel. In this installment, we see the darker side of Dani's switch between worlds, and how it drives her perspectives on friendship and why she views her current reality like a novel. The author and illustrator do a great job with juxtaposing a heavier topic with top quality humor, and I just can't get enough of the story!
Now that Dani is in high school, there's a whole box of tropes just waiting for her to misinterpret, with hilarious results. Will a new love interest surface? My only gripe is that the volumes are never long enough, and all these questions must wait until next time! Looking forward to Volume 3!

Gosh the more I read this manga series the more I fall in love!! This is very much feeling like a cross between Komi Can’t Communicate in the happy go lucky/slice of life vibe and Ouran High School Host Club with the romance options and I’m LIVING for this!!!
It’s fast paced and funny with moments of seriousness that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy with how supportive the characters are of each other, especially how supportive everyone is of Dani blipping in and out of “reality”
I truly cannot wait for volume 3 to come out so I can try for the ARC of that but for now, I’ll be stopping at my local bookstore to pick up volume one to have as a trophy on my bookshelf until volume 2 comes out next February! I 100% recommend checking this series out if you can! It’s been a wild and fun ride already 🌸💕

So far it's still a fun read, this volume hits a more sad note when Dani tells them about what happened a year ago. While they are not keen on the idea of acting like they don't know each other, they understand but Dani changes her mind about distancing herself from them in high school.
The hidden personalities they all have keep it an interesting read in my opinion with the series incorporating a decent amount of tropes you usually see- which so far don't feel out of place.

I really enjoyed diving back into the story after the first volume. This volume is a bit sad since we get to learn some more details about certain character’s backstories and also how Dani is affected by living in this “other” world.
Also, it’s refreshing how the miscommunication/misunderstandings were resolved, specifically how it didn’t take multiple volumes for the other characters to realize why Dani was feeling the way she was feeling.
But the sadness is balanced with all these hints of romance, plus the lighthearted and comedic moments. Yeoryeong is definitely one of my favorites in the manhwa. Her panels are always the funniest and such a breath of fresh air.
Also I cannot wait until Volume 3 comes out, especially since the author introduced at least four new characters, one of which I have a feeling will be very present from this point forth!
