Alright first thing first, it's a mess.
It was just so messy and I was surprised when I found out that the romance and interaction between Bailey and Greyson was going everywhere. Okay first of all, I was actually pretty intrigued and hooked when I got the gist that this is suspense romance with whodunit trope- and not to add the instalust between a stripper and a bodyguard, sounds interesting right? The potential was right in front of your nose but sadly the execution was just messy. There were a lot of things that felt unnecessary. Like the 3rd break up act over a loan was just so fucking stupid- though yes I did laugh my ass off when I read it but I still think it was kinda unnecessary. Not to mention the way they fought with each other, it was just plain stupid and the only picture I caught was they were basically just screaming at each other in the face without understanding each other.
The plot twist was also predictable. Like boringly predictable. When I first suspect the real killer, it was like wait it was no way that he is the killer. But the way the real killer was rarely appeared in the story didn't make sense to me in my head, it's like giving an important role for someone who's not really exist in the story. honestly there were so many things that really made me shaking my head the whole time reading this and mainly because how idiot and stupid some things in this book, but tbh I did enjoy this book!
This was fun, as I said the book actually has a lot of potential despite how mess the execution was. It was a quick and fun read, and hot too. I know I have said a few hundred times that fuck instalove and instalust, but this instalust was surprisingly good! It's the way that none of the mcs appeared too horny or horny all the time, it's the way it really was instalust because they were really sexually attracted to each other appearance. It's not cringe to the point that both my fingers and toes were curling, the sex scene was hot but too brief, the writing was surprisingly very eloquent! And the characters were just okay- nothing too special but if I could say one thing about both mcs, they were stupid af 💀😂
Okay so, 2 stars is the best I can do. But lowkey I'm excited to read the 2nd book! So yea- will definitely looking forward about the scary and terrifying Dylan.

Greyson and Bailey are a wonderful couple!
I loved that he didn't turn away as obstacles continued to come in his way!
He knew what he wanted: Bailey! No matter what happened, Greyson sticked to her and, eventually, he knocked down the walls that were surrounding her!
This book is captivating, thanks also to the mysteries that the protagonists have to solve!
I can't wait for book two of this series to be published!

Don’t let this cover and title fool you! This was a great read for me! It has a little bit of danger, little bit of a thrill and a whole lot of steam in this one!
When Bailey’s co-worker is murdered it’s the second kill known that includes strippers. This sets her boss to hire a security company to keep the girls safe.
Greyson is back in town after a fiasco that has his dad, the owner of Knoxley Security company, a little disappointed in him. First night back he has a one night stand with a beautiful woman that knocked his socks off. She just left and he never got her name just her number.
Greyson gets assigned as security manager at the strip club where Bailey/Ophelia works his hook up.
These two will have your reading device sparking from the current between them.
There is killer out there and they will have to think fast to find out who it is before another girl gets killed.
We see great character growth in Bailey in this. She’s a tough woman and only has one night stands no going back for seconds! She gets off on the thrill of rocking the guys worlds and leave them begging for more. She gets off on it until Greyson comes knocking down all her walls and makes her vulnerable not only to him but outside forces out to get her.
Will these two come out of this unscathed or will they break each other’s hearts?

Bailey lives by a code. She loves them and leaves them, and she’s never had an issue with that before. At least, until her boss hires her latest hookup as Dark Neon’s new security manager. Bailey is annoyed, and she definitely doesn’t need a protector, especially one who knows what buttons to press.
As for Greyson, he hates the fact that Bailey won’t give him the time of day. But deep down, he’s a protector, and when a killer starts targeting girls like Bailey, Greyson’s protective instincts fully kick in. And he won’t rest until he knows Bailey isn’t in danger.
Oh. My. Gosh!! This book was heavy, yes, but oh so good!!! I loved the way the story was set up. This book had it all - steam, mystery, romance, action, witty banter…. I just loved it!!! I was utterly entranced from the very beginning, and I couldn’t put it down!
Bailey. Bailey’s been through so much, and she has a hardened view of the world. I totally get why she wants to protect herself, but I loved watching Greyson knock down her wall, bit by bit. Greyson. Greyson’s definitely got a bit of a dominant streak, but it’s all part of his charm. I loved how patient he was with Bailey while she learned to trust him. All in all, I highly recommend!

Okay, so you know those books you go into ready to just get slayed with the spice? Well that's what I thought I was going to get with this book, but it wasn't all spice. It was SO MUCH MORE than that! I loved this book SO much! Yes, there is spice, but the story is just so good that I was absolutely okay with it!
Now, the scenes where there was, they were well written and done tastefully (get it?) and I liked how the FMC (Bailey) had a rough side to her where she didn't allow a man to overstep her and she held the control. Is the reason she did the things she did a wee bit F'd up? Yeah probably but she had so much growth that it all worked out in the end.
Then come super tough alpha male Greyson....ohhhh was he just very dominating. I loved it! Because while he was a very alpha hole MC, he truly and deeply came to care for the Bailey....I mean Ophelia....(Puts a dollar in the dog jar).
The plot twist was just....well it was just so damn good you need to read it because I did NOT see that coming, and I was fooled just like Greyson was.
When the Bad Boy bouncer gets the strong jaded striper for a HAE. Sing me up!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

So for this gem...All I have to say is read it now my friend!!! The perfect analogy of sexy, mystery and romance. I loved this book! It was so easy to read and couldn't let it out of my hands. The plot was good and I really enjoyed the fact that is was something different, I mean you don't usually find a striper and bodyguard romance in your local bookstore.
I give it a five because I didn't find anything that wasn't to my liking. It didn't bore me at all, the chapters were the right size, not too short not too long. The characters were presented very realistically. And there wasn't even one repeted scene.
I recommend it with my eyes closed to any reader who wants a easy-reading, steamy (the right quantity), mysterious and romantic book. I cannot wait to read for the other brothers as well!!!

This was a fast, easy and steamy read. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I really love security romances though!!! I like the banter between the characters. Bailey is a fierce, sassy, strong and independent woman and she’s a stripper. Greyson is an alpha male working at a security firm trying to protect the people he cares about. I loved the character development from lovers to enemies to friends to lovers again. I found that very appealing. Then there’s mystery thrown in. It was great a fun, fast and definitely hot read. I cannot wait to read the rest of the Knoxley Series for the other brothers’ stories!!! Love it Danielle!!

Ok holy shit. This book was A LOT more than I expected. When I first saw it I thought, eh, it’s probably mostly smut with a side of plot, not anything out of the ordinary. Yeah well, this was definitely a case of ‘I judged a book by its cover’. I went in not expecting anything but holy fuck did Danielle Marx’s deliver.
It started off giving major dominatrix vibes and I wasn’t really into it but that changed real fast. It had everything you could want. Enemies-to-lovers, angst, banter, plot, spice, everything. It was also insta-attraction, which I’m not a fan of, but it didn’t play a major role in the story so it wasn’t horrible.
Now the plot. Mostly everything going on in the book was based around the plot but it also had a healthy dose of relationship development, which was amazing. There was a perfect blend of romance and plot and each aspect complimented each other pretty well. The plot itself was well developed and enjoyable and not too heavy. And although this book is classed under romantic suspense, it would fall more under the romance genre then the crime/suspense genre. Which is great for those who prefer just a small amount of crime/suspense however not ideal if you’re looking for something more crime based.
I even forgot I was supposed to be working out who the murderer was!!
The characters? They were mostly amazing. Bailey was a little annoying at times but I liked her general personality. Mostly. Greyson is a gigantic cuddly teddy bear and too nice for his own good. Which is pointed out WAY too often in the book. He could have been a little darker but then I guess it wouldn’t have fit the vibe.
The writing style immediately drew me in and from the first page I knew I would not be annoyed while reading, at all.
Overall, this was a good read, that did not get boring at any stage. Would definitely recommend if you love a mildly angsty romance with a good amount of smut (😏😏😏) and a healthy dose of plot.

This is my first read from Danielle Marx and can’t wait to read more from her. Bailey is a stripper and there have been strange murderers to her happing to girls that work at the club so the owners hire a security company to keep the girls safe. It turns out Bailey had a one-night stand with Greyson the head of security and he wants to know why she didn’t pick up his call. I loved seeing Bailey's character development. This book was so hot. Bailey is a complex character and she is then what meets the eye. I loved learning about the kink she has and how it came about. It is so interesting because I have never read it before. This book is so antsy I couldn't get enough love for the dynamic between Bailey and Greyson.

✔I loved how strong Bailey's character is shown. She holds her own.
✔There is a hint of mystery with a lot of slow burn spice. The right balance of both.
✔ There is a right amount of banter, jealousy, betrayal, pain, chemistry, spice and romance.
✔ I did not see the killer for being who it was. I was totally caught off guard by it.
✔It was rightly paced and an easy read.

Don't let a cover fool you and think you know everything with one look. Hell, I thought with that kind of cover it would be mainly smut. Don't get me wrong, I am all for a good smut book. 🫢 Swallow, Girl, has certainly a healthy dose of smut but also so much more! It has banter, sass, mystery, murder, friendship and betrayal.
And let me tell you, the story flows so nicely through the book I just couldn't stop reading. The author did such a great job with the characters. Bailey and Greyson are the main characters in the books who meet eachother due to their one night stand. It turns out he gets hired as a security guard at the club Bailey works at. As she is someone who has fortified walls up, it is interesting to see how Greyson slowly works his way through them and show her what love can be. The banter, jealousy making and steam sure don't hold back here. Get me a guy who is posessive and a woman who can make him jealous without realizing she actually does like him and I am sold. 🙌
Not only their relationship plays a big part in the story but also the assaults and murders of women which is the reason why Greyson got hired. Add in that extra mystery and betrayal and you have all the ingredients for a must read. ✨

Don't let a cover fool you and think you know everything with one look. Hell, I thought with that kind of cover it would be mainly smut. Don't get me wrong, I am all for a good smut book. 🫢 Swallow, Girl, has certainly a healthy dose of smut but also so much more! It has banter, sass, mystery, murder, friendship and betrayal.
And let me tell you, the story flows so nicely through the book I just couldn't stop reading. The author did such a great job with the characters. Bailey and Greyson are the main characters in the books who meet eachother due to their one night stand. It turns out he gets hired as a security guard at the club Bailey works at. As she is someone who has fortified walls up, it is interesting to see how Greyson slowly works his way through them and show her what love can be. The banter, jealousy making and steam sure don't hold back here. Get me a guy who is posessive and a woman who can make him jealous without realizing she actually does like him and I am sold. 🙌
Not only their relationship plays a big part in the story but also the assaults and murders of women which is the reason why Greyson got hired. Add in that extra mystery and betrayal and you have all the ingredients for a must read. ✨

Someone is attacking strippers and two have been murdered. So in comes Knoxley Security, Greyson Knoxley is the new head of security at Dark Neon and looking to protect the dancers from a possible serial killer. He is also the one night stand that Bailey just ghosted.
This story was the first in the Knoxley Security series and is an exciting combination of steamy romance and murder mystery. It definitely rates high for heat but the plot of the mystery and the building relationship between Bailey and Greyson is what makes this a wonderful read. I look forward to reading about the rest of the Knoxley brothers.

This was my first read from this author and I was really excited. I was captured right from the get go with the plot.
I struggled at the beginning with Bailey and the attitude that she had towards not only Greyson put most of the characters.. but as I stuck with it and the story developed I began to really root for her.
The spicy was were on point and had extra steam! 🌶🌶 the nicknames felt forced to me at times but otherwise loved the back and forth between Bailey and Greyson.
Definitely go check out this book and I can’t wait for more!!!

This was a fast, east, steamy🔥read. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I like the banter between the characters and the angst between then. Bailey is fierce, sassy, strong, and independent an and a stripper. Greyson is an alpha male working at a security firm trying to protect those he cares about. I loved the character development from lovers to enemies to friend to lovers again. I found that appealing. Then Danielle throws in mystery. It was great fun, fast and definitely hot🔥📖 read. Its a 4 1/2 star for me. I cannot wait to read the rest of the Knoxley Series!

Bailey hasn’t had an easy start in life and things get a lot more complicated. She is working as a stripper to pay of an ex’s debt and girls she works worth start getting hurt. Her boss hires a security company to protect them which brings Greyson Knoxley back in to her life. Bailey thrives on control and one night stands are all she is interested in, so when her latest one night stand turns out to be the clubs new head of security she is not pleased. They circle around each other for a while, but can’t deny their chemistry. Their relationship isn’t easy, he has history from a previous job and her past has made her untrusting. She is brave, stubborn, independent but alone. He is strong, protective and trying to prove himself to his family. Greyson is trying to work out who is hurting the girls and Bailey’s past comes back to haunt her. I loved the suspense element of the story and the heat between Bailey and Greyson. I understood the title of the book but I really didn’t like it. I am looking forward to more books in this series.

I absolutely adored Greyson. He is actually beautiful, caring and oh so protective. And damn, he's all hot and alpha!
Now for Bailey, she's fiesty, sassy, strong willed, stubborn and fiercely idependent and them walls were high but Greyson being the man brought out the love in her. She has my heart!
I loved it @daniellemarxbooks and I can't wait to read more in this series. I am kind of intrigued by daddy knoxley 😉.

This was my first read by Danielle Marx. I am so glad I read it 😍. I'm not gonna lie I did think when I saw the title it'll be pure smut and not alot of plot but It's not like anything I have read up to now which is so refreshing! loved the mystery element of the story. The characters and their development is spot on too. Add in the spice and the angst and you have a 5 star read!

I FLEW through this book, and I am not one to be a fast reader!
I've never picked up a Danielle Marx book before, but I was lucky enough to become an ARC reader this time around! At 20% of the book, I was looking up her name to see what else she had available and instantly wanted to tell my friends about this new book of hers!
This is a thrilling ride, filled with explicit scenes, a hint at kink, and... murder! I was not expecting to be taken on a mystery hunt to find the killer, but it made the story that much more interesting alongside Greyson and Bailey's relationship.
I did not relate to Bailey in the slightest, but I have to say I admire her strength and stubborness. Her independence as a woman made me feel empowered simply reading. And I fell for Greyson, but I still want to know more about his brothers!
I can't wait to read the next book in the series, and if you like a little thrill and some highly explicit scenes, check this one out! I guarantee you'll be wanting to know more about the brothers to come and their stories!

If book one of the Knoxley security series has me on my knees begging, i will undoubtedly be a mess for the rest of the series
A hot as heel enemies to lovers, stripper romance with strong characters and undeniable chemistry. Both Bailey and Greyson would have me entirely at their command with their feisty attitude and witty conversation.
A story based on the dangerous life of a stripper and the new, hot security guard hired to protect the girls from the recent string of murders in the area
This book has it ALL: hot characters, a plot twist that left me speechless, some of the hottest sec scenes I have ever read and one hell of a plot. not to mention how it sets up the future of the series perfectly.
Bailey is the strong, badass, sassy and feisty woman I didn't know i needed. Not to mention a goddamn dominatrix. Yet her stage persona is so different from the closed off, fragile girl she really is, which Greyson quickly discovers
Greyson was a brilliant character. Protective, dominant, caring and yet still so soft and patient with Bailey. Hired as a private security for the strip club where Bailey works during a murdering spree of strippers, they are both in for a shock and a battle of words once they realise they have worked before
And the sex scenes- i could not cope. hell, it gave me plenty of ideas. Genuinely some of the best sex scenes I have ever read
Not to mention the fact the book addresses the reality of being a dancer. Respectful but brutally honest. It discusses the fact people look down at you and think you are less of a person, more of a target, and it is hard to remember that dancers have real lives. I thought this was a really nice addition to the book

A chance meeting to lovers, Standalone but better enjoyed in sequential order.
Bailey the feisty, headstrong independent stripper & Greyson the kind-hearted, overly protective bodyguard.
Completely different in every way, is he enough to break down her protective walls.
Absolutely amazing writing, literally couldn't put it down.
Bailey & Greysons relationship was up & down the whole time. You never knew how Bailey would react to even the smallest of chivelry from Greyson.
I definitely didn't see the killer being who it was, that was the last person I could have suspected.
Can't wait for the next in the series, we all need to meet the brothers.

I received an early arc copy a short few weeks ago and I have had such an amazing time reading! I cannot thank Danielle Marx enough for sending me a review copy before release!!
I have a major love for romance! Each time I read a romance book, my love for the genre just grows, because of this I have read my fair share of tropes and plots, etc. but I have to say I have not yet read anything like ‘Swallow Girl’ by Danielle Marx!
The tropes, although some are frequently used in the genre, are written in entirety new and refreshing way!
Think enemies to lovers meets stripper & bodyguard! It is also the first book in the Knoxley Security Series! Let me tell you right now, I NEED every other book in this series like ASAP!!
In ‘Swallow Girl’ we follow our gorgeous main character Bailey and her relationship with Grayson. I absolutely adored the characters in this book! Bailey was amazing, such a strong lead female character that we NEED in more romance books! She did not let Grayson get away with anything! I love Grayson. I am so in love with that man it is a joke. He is so sweet and caring yet so cold and protective. He is just everything.
The plot of this book was amazing! I loved the time-jump, the way the two characters KNEW EACH OTHER before they meet again! I loved the pacing and I loved all the twists and turns! The plot twist was actually incredible. There is definitely thriller aspects to this book so if you love romance and thriller this is definitely for you! It is certainly a new trope I am beginning to LOVE!
The tension between Grayson and Bailey is everything! I love their relationship so much!

I was pleasantly surprised with Swallow, Girl by Danielle Marx! Could the ARC I read have gone through another round of editing? Sure. But the storyline and characters are solid! This was an entertaining read and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride!
Bailey is not someone I could relate to, on really any level, but I got her story and what she’s all about fairly easily. Bailey is a stripper at an elite strip club in NYC with a difficult past, due to her ex, and she’s trying to earn money to dig herself out of the hole he created for her. Her tough and sassy exterior complemented romantic interest Greyson’s rugged complicated one. I enjoyed their story and I’m eager to read more. I’m definitely excited about the series. I loved this couple! Can’t wait to see what Danielle has for us next!!
I honestly didn’t expect too much aside from some smut and sass, but this book did deliver on the story and plot! I appreciated the chapter lengths as well - not terribly long and not too short either.
I definitely recommend giving this one a shot if you enjoy a good suspenseful mystery with some romance and spice thrown in the mix.

Bailey is one and done in the love department. She hooks up with a stranger at a bar for an amazing night, gives him her number, and then ghosts him, as is her MO. That stranger just happens to be Greyson, who is the new head of security at Bailey's upscale strip club where she dances. They go from hookup to enemies to friends to lovers, and their chemistry was amazing! I also loved the family vibe at the strip club, and that this wasn't the typical stripper works at a shady club where the owner shakes her down type story. Throw in a murder mystery, and it's quite the entertaining read!
