Onyx Santo. Cold-hearted, harsh, and a brutal adversary. They call him a Devil. I call him my nemesis.
His designer suits, expensive shoes, flashy car, and cruel intelligence can’t hide what he is underneath. Empty.
He fooled me once, and I swore he’d never get a second chance. There is nothing he can do to redeem himself in my eyes. As my most hated rival, the only time he makes me smile is when I’ve bested him in the boardroom.
But someone far worse is out to get me. Perhaps…even hurt me. The police have no leads, and I have no idea who it could be. I do know one man who doesn’t play by the rules. One man who could protect me.
I’d rather live in fear than ask for his help.
Ruthless Devil is a full-length enemies-to-lovers romance that is intended for mature readers. This is a standalone book and does not need to be read in conjunction with The Ruthless Devils series, but you may enjoy it more if you do. If you are not a fan of morally grey alphaholes or heroines who aren’t afraid to tell them to stick it where the sun don’t shine, then you should keep scrolling.
*WARNING* This book features Onyx Santo, who was first introduced in The Ruthless Devils series, but this is his story and not a continuation of that series. To be clear, this book does not contain Jett, Gray or Ash. There may be a mention of them, but this is not about them or their story.
This book will contain themes that some readers may find triggering or offensive, such as dark themes, sexual/violent content, excessive swearing, and smouldering heat. If you’re still here and interested, buckle up and let this Devil take you on a crazy ride.
Eve L. Mitchell is a USA Today Bestselling author who writes contemporary romance and urban fantasy.
Being an avid reader from a young age, Eve still considers herself to be a reader first. She believes there is nothing better than getting that new book either on your e-reader or in your hands, and the fact she may bring that excitement to a fellow reader, fills her with wonder. She writes under a pen name because otherwise her Secret Agent status will be revoked.
Eve lives in the North East of Scotland, with her three coffee machines and her significant other, Mr. M. She enjoys NFL Football, music and having long conversations with the voices in her head, which sometimes turn into the stories she writes.
Ruthless Devil by Eve L. Mitchell is the bonus stand-alone story we all needed following the Ruthless Devils series. Onyx and Angel had chemistry and history that we all could see would be explosive, but this story is far from expected and blows the enemies to lovers trope out of the water with adding in office romance, suspense and two strong characters who know exactly what they want and how to get it.
The undeniable attraction between these two is like fire and ice, with desire and hate rolling off Angel and Onyx right from the first chapter, as their rivalry has started from college and lead into their professional careers.
Onyx is a one hell of an alphahole who also has a wicked playfulness to him, whilst he also maintains the highest barriers and hatred to those who are not part of his inner circle. Aka the alphahole of epic proportions. Whereas Angel has badass bitchy vibes with a temper to match, an underlying strength and even innocence. Along with the intelligence to outwit those around her. All of this and more, make Onyx and Angel’s characters some of the best Eve L. Mitchell has written.
The story progresses through finding out who Angel’s mystery stalker is and the impact this has on her life, all the while the history of Angel, Onyx and the Devils are revealed. Their office banter, teasing and straight out hatred towards one another is also a key part that makes the story addictive to read. Their relationship might be slow burn, but for me that’s not the main focus of the story and I enjoyed the detailed focus on the situations and world created around these characters, and how plot unraveled.
The story is told from dual POV’s from both Angel and Onyx, which gives the reader the much needed insight to both of them.
Favourite quote: “That was the charm of Onyx Santo: he didn’t discriminate, he hated everyone equally.”
Sidenotes: This story is completely separate from the 3 books in the Ruthless Devils series. Whilst Onyx appears briefly in that series, the main characters from those books aren’t a main focus of Ruthless Devil, which does make this a true stand-alone.
Additionally, there are some character crossovers from other series with their names, but again these have no impact on the overall story.
There are some elements which might be triggering to sensitive readers.
Ruthless Devil is a unique story in which our characters, Onyx and Angel, share a tenuous history.
Upon graduation, Angel accepts a job at one of the most prestigious sports agencies, which is, unbeknownst to her, owned by Onyx. What follows is a quintessential enemies-to-lovers story. Onyx Santo is an unrepentant hero, fitting of his nickname, Devil. While Angel, who has been dealt more than her share of misfortune, gives as good as she gets where Onyx is concerned.
The full cast of characters is interesting and made the story that much better.
If you want a TRUE Enemies to Lovers Romance look no further because this one is for you. Angel and Onyx despise one another equally, it wasn't one sided or even a little dislike they really had it out for one another and I LOVED IT!
Angel Balan and Onyx Santo met in college after a night that she would never forget but that night isn't what caused her utter dislike for him it's what he did the next time they saw one another that sealed his fate with her. I love that the author didn't gloss over their past, we were there living out every moment from their first encounter to the one that ultimately led to what their relationship is now, a working relationship that is filled with pure animosity.
Someone is threatening Angel and of course she thinks it's Onyx but that's for the briefest of seconds because even though they dislike one another she doesn't think he would stoop to doing the things that is happening to her...steal her clients? yes, but not this. So who is after her and what do they want? And will they stop before they kill her?
This was my first read by Eve L. Mitchell but you better believe it won't be my last. I would recommend this book to those that enjoy Steamy Dark Suspense Romances, Enemies to Lovers Romances, Office Romances, or Second Chance at Love Romances.
I really enjoyed this book! I loved the writing style so much. It 👏properly👏 delivered on the enemies to lovers front and I ate that shit up.
I loved the back and forth. The jabs and snide remarks—and they DID NOT hold back—to each other were hilarious but sometimes it made me pause. They’re both unapologetic about how they play the game. The author gave them so much tension and I couldn’t get enough!
This was the first time I’ve read a positive review and immediately started the book. And boi was I delightfully surprised. It was the kind of book that I was looking for. It was my first book by this amazing author and I can say I’ll definitely read more.
Side note: The ending was kinda abrupt idk. I felt the 🤌 chemistry but I needed more emotional connection. And the whole thing with the suspense stalker thing was so elusive I was kinda confused but I already guessed the ‘accomplice’.
Fav Quotes:

⭐️“She was furious and when she was angry, the colour in her cheeks always made her more attractive.”🤭
Hero & his friends are utterly vile and the heroine is pathetic. We have a "Hero" so loathsome towards heroine for the ENTIRE freaking story that you are left with "what the hell did I just read!".
SPOILERS
Plot:
Hero is 2 years younger then heroine. When they were in college, this asshole and a group of his friends got together to bring "Mayhem" to those they feel deserve payback in the form of punishment. It's in one instance where they are pursuing some guy to punish him for some grievance that they see heroine and "rescue" her from the evil one.
He & his friends then make a bet that if he sleeps with the "vampire" (that's the name they call her throughout the book because she is pale white & they don't see her in daylight - only at night), they'll pay him $300. So he pursues heroine, f**ks her and then gets his money and laughs at her the next day when she learns she was just a pity f**k & a bet.
Now in the present, it's 6 years later and heroine who is a sports agent, works for this douche - and she has a stalker on her hands. You would think that she would be vengeful and full of hate for him and his friends and seek revenge, right? Yeah..NO. While she & Hero don't like one another for 98% of the story, Hero (and one of his friends, Connor) is constantly vile to her and she just takes it. They have this competition going on that he constantly wins. He's always stealing her clients, putting her down every chance he gets, is indifferent to her in both his thoughts and in his day to day interaction (aka not attracted to her), calls her "vampire" all throughout the book which is NOT in any way a form of affection but an insult, leaves her in a parking garage alone when her tires get slashed by a madman, laughs at her with his friends when the stalker infiltrates her home and does something in her bed (all while she is scared to death), constantly states how he never gave her a bleeping thought after he had f**d her in college and doesn't give a s**t about her in the present, plays head-games, allows him to f**k her knowing that in the past she was just a quick f***k & a bet to him. Someone he used, laughed at and threw away - yet keeps going back for more because he is the best f**k she ever had. 🙄
Then at around the 95% or so, after he finally gets a clue that she is in danger and needs help, he decides to offer protection and moves her to his home where eventually they start to f**k. Yep - sex, not lovemaking.
Then we have in the last chapter where the stalker has beaten heroine up and he & his friends come to her rescue, a talk with one of his friends where he is supposedly told that he has always had feelings for her (🤬) and HFN. The End.
Uhm....is this anyone's idea of a love-story?
Safety: No OM/OW drama except for the stalker after heroine. No rape scenes. Some abuse in both verbally (by Hero) and physically (by stalker to heroine).
Sexual history is brief. Neither are celibate after their hookup in college. She had a college BF that things didn't work out but no info if she had slept around with lots of dudes after their first hook up. He continued his Manho ways and we are told that 6 months prior he screwed a business colleague's (or client) wife or sister (can't remember). Heroine had been working for him for 2 years so in that time, he was still sleeping around with others.
Slight BDSM. No HEA. No attraction, bonding or anything to tell me they are meant to be. In fact, quite the opposite.
RUTHLESS DEVIL is the fourth instalment in Eve L Mitchell’s contemporary, adult THE RUTHLESS DEVILS dark, erotic romance series. This is sports agents /attorneys Onyx Santo, and twenty-eight year old Angel Balan’s story line. RUTHLESS DEVIL is a complete stand alone, and does not have to be read after the previous three instalments. Onyx Santo was first introduced in the original series but his story is separate from the first three books.
WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Angel and Onxy) RUTHLESS DEVIL follows two time lines that focus on the acrimonious and caustic relationship between sports agents /attorneys Onyx Santo, and twenty-eight year old Angel Balan. Years earlier, while attending Cardinal Saints College, a college owned and ruled by the Santo family, Angel found herself rescued by the Cardinal Saints ‘Devil’s in the wake of a potential sexual assault but Angel’s rescue came with a caveat, a caveat that was about to destroy any future relationship between herself and her would-be rescuers. Fast forward to present day, Angel is now working as an attorney and sports agent for Saints Sports Management, an agency owned by Onyx Santo, the man who has been diligently working to destroy Angel’s career but all is not well in Angel’s life, when a stalker takes aim at our story line heroine, targeting her for perceived sins of the past. What ensues is the building but tempestuous relationship between Onxy and Angel, and the potential fall-out as Onxy struggles between head and heart where it concerns our story line heroine; and Angel’s stalker takes aim with near fatal success.
Onyx Santo, and his fellow ‘Devils’ Cooper and Charlie do not like our story line heroine. The past reveals an arrogance and birthright, and with it, anyone they deem below the Saints and Devils, is considered fodder and prey. Onxy Santo is determined to make Angel’s professional life miserable in the hopes of destroying her self-esteem and ego. Angel Balan has been bullied by Onxy and his ‘Devils’ for as long as she can remember but never expected the harassment to continue into her professional life but when our heroine finds herself the victim of a stalker, Onxy is determined to protect the woman that is calling to his heart.
The relationship between Onyx and Angel is petulant and testy. Angel struggles with what happened years before, and Onyx refuses to accept that Angel has now become a part of his life but when the attacks against Angel become dangerous and personal, Onxy calls in his fellow ‘Devils’ in an effort to track down the person(s) responsible. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense with some scenes of breath play and bondage.
We are introduced to Onyx’s best friends: Cooper (private Investigator), Charlie Woodcott (fixer), Jeremy Pittman (professional football player) and his wife Chrissy; as well as several business clients.
RUTHLESS DEVIL is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, acceptance and love. The premise is dark, edgy and dramatic; the characters are intense, rebellious and hostile; the romance is provocative.
When I first received this book for review I was nervous I'll admit, because I seen it was a part of the devil series and I was concerned I'd be lost. I have never read anything by Eve Mitchel before so I was super glad the author had a special note to the readers at the beginning.
She made sure to state that this book is a standalone in the series but it could be enjoyed more when read with the series. She also stated that this was Onyx's story and described him as an alphahole and not a hero type. I found it helpful that she warned what type of character he'd be before I stared reading. It let me prepare myself to read this and not expect prince charming like most romance novels.
When I first started reading I thought this was going to be a college sports romance, but was surprised when the setting changed into a law agency after the main character graduated. There is still flashbacks or memories of her time in college. I absolutely love the childish banter between Angel and Onyx it's funny and adorable. I busted a gut when Chrissy mentioned the carrot, if you know you know. The stalker was a complete shock and the twist in the partner was crazy. Angel and Onyx make the perfect couple though, they complement and challenge each other.
This is a suspenseful enemies to lovers romance. I couldn't get enough and kept me on my toes. The writing style was excellent and easy to read. I felt the story flowed nicely and created a movie in my head. It truly was a great read. I will definitely be going back and reading the other books in this series.
Having read The Ruthless Devils Series i was so excited when i found out about this book! I've been looking forward to it from the moment it was announced. I was so glad that i got to pick up another one of Ms.Mitchell's books. I started reading it and got into it so very quickly. I really enjoyed this story!
Angel and Onyx's journey pulled me in right from the get go! These two shared a night together in college. Now they're back in each other's lives going head to head in the boardroom and it isn't easy. I couldn't wait to see how things would play out with these two.
I really liked how these two had history and the way they get under each other's skin. I couldn't wait to see how they'd tackle the past as well as things in the present. I was so glad that i got to dig into both of their minds. I wasn't sure what all to expect and that got me into their story even more.
I loved how i went through such a range of emotions throughout reading with both Onyx and Angel. The chemistry between these two was so great! I so enjoyed the way it kept me on my toes!
With Ruthless Devil, Ms.Mitchell has created such a great read that will keep you glued to your kindle and make you feel so much! I can't wait to read what she comes up with next! 💜
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing Solutions / the author*
The heat, passion, intensity, animosity and hatred between Angel Balan and Onyx Santo is off the charts and out of this world. These two characters definitely have a love/hate relationship with each other that started back at Cardinal Saints College and continues six years later. They have an ongoing rivalry to see who can scoop the best athletes right out from under the other's nose at the sports agency owned by Onyx. Angel may be two years older than him, but Onyx always excelled at his studies and took courses that advanced him quickly. It helps that his family is on the board of the college.
When Angel becomes the recipient of threats, Onyx takes exception. In his eyes, he is the only person who is allowed to hate Angel and make her life miserable. He sets his fellow Devils on the case to help find out who is behind the incidents that have befallen Angel. When things start to escalate, he forces her to stay at his home, knowing that it is a huge mistake he will regret. The more time they are forced to spend together, those pesky things called feelings start to change and their interactions turn from hatred to intimate escapades. When Angel is attacked, Onyx goes off the deep end and declares war against her unknown attacker. It has gone past the point of being amusing and is approaching deadly. Onyx has discovered that his feelings are awakening where Angel is concerned. He is slowly being turned from the dark side to the light by a celestial being.
This was my first book by Eve L. Mitchell and it won't be my last. The writing is superb, breathtaking, spellbinding. I was drawn in from the very first page to the last. I wanted this book to last forever.
I absolutely LOVE a good enemies to lovers romance and boy did this deliver. The title is definitely very fitting, ruthless devil by name, ruthless devil by nature.
Onyx Santo is asshole extraordinaire, but boy did I fall for his asshole charms. Angel and Onyx have history but it’s not the good kind, and now that they work at the same company the hatred is definitely reaching new heights, while the tension becomes explosive. Angel may be nice and sweet but she’s not afraid to go toe to toe with Onyx, it’s like their own special brand of foreplay. So while things start to amp up in the boardroom unbeknownst to Angel she seems to have gotten herself a stalker. It might start off with flowers but things start to escalate pretty quickly and she soon finds herself turning to the devil himself, the last person she ever wanted to ask for help, Onyx Santo.
I really really enjoyed this book, Eve’s writing style pulls you right in from the beginning and keeps you engrossed through out. There was the right amount of spice, humour, drama, asshole men and one sassy and feisty woman. I loved the characters even though I did want to shake Angel for her recklessness but she still a strong FMC. Onyx’s character development was *chefs kiss*, he was just so unapologetically him. The side characters were also written really well, Cooper was my fave out of Onyx’s friends I hope we get to see from him in the future.
“You’re a heartless bastard.”- Angel “Thank you.”- Onyx “It’s not something to be proud of,”- Angel
If you've read my reviews of Ruthless Desire and Ruthless Charm, you'll know about my love-hate relationship with Onyx. I found him mean, rude and arrogant. It turns out he was everything I didn't know I wanted. I feel like I understand Onyx more than I did in the first trilogy. He is a controlling alphahole to the max, but he does it so well I wouldn't want him to be any other way.
This is one of the truest enemies to lovers I've ever read. Onyx and Angel tolerate each other at best, they are professional rivals despite working together. They have a past history that only fuels their disdain for each other. Somehow though, their hostility just made it all the more hotter.
This is definitely a slow burn, but I didn't even care. I was so enthralled with the suspense of the story, Eve kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. And of course I loved getting small glimpses of the twins and Ash!
In the sports world we know the players are competitive but boy are their agents just as bad!
Angel and Onyx met while they were in college she was unaware of who Onyx really was then but after a one night stand he showed her his figurative horns, tail and pitchfork becoming a devil in her eyes. He also is part of a group that causes chaos and mayhem on campus named devils so his nickname that she calls him is fitting.
These two will revolve around each other throughout the next few years. After graduation from law school Angel applies to a sports management company and gets a job right out of school. Unbeknownst to her it’s owned by the Devil himself Onyx.
They hate each other and it shows in their banter back and forth! Onyx is an ass! He has no room in his life for emotion or for anyone except his small circle. He is admittedly a harsh, fierce and a competitive guy that enjoys stealing Angels clients and doing anything he can to fluster her. He enjoys pissing her off!
Angel is frustrated but she’s not going to let Onyx win! When she starts receiving dead flowers, cards and when someone slices her tires she turns to the only person she knows that can help her. This is where these two become a force to be reckoned with. Onyx is passionate about keeping Angel safe but can these two stop being so stubborn with one another or will someone get hurt?
I have loved Onyx as a side character through the Ruthless Devils series, and was so excited to finally step into his world and see who he really is! I love the ruthless devil even more now! His bullying absolutely has no boundaries, and he has no f*cks to give! The story hooked me in quickly, and I honestly read this in one sitting. The words and emotions Onyx and Angel fling at each other through this book are like well poisoned arrows, until you realize it’s their type of foreplay. It was obvious that any woman Onyx ends up with would have to be very confident in themselves and gives just as good as she gets!
I loved how the suspense & the creepy vibes the stalker gives off had them all running around trying to figure out who he was! Each gift that was left had them scrambling. It really was a page turner!
Eve’s books always pull me right in and I know I’m getting one hell of a story, every time. She’s a master storyteller with such fantastic detail and can make you feel what you are reading as if you are there. Everyone should one click this book, but I would recommend to read the Ruthless Devil series first just to immerse yourself in some of the characters in this book. It’s not a must, but they’re all such good books and it makes the reading of this one that much better with a little history!
Another great book by Eve. I love how she is able to write characters with great banter with such venom when they are enemies to lovers. These 2 Onyx and Angel walk that fine line of love/hate so well. After a night together in college that she came to regret she now works for him and is so close to leaving his company because of him and his behaviour. She comes to need his help and he brings his friends in to help her.
This story is amazing. I loved Angel and Onyx. This book has everything an enemies to lovers book needs. Their connection is fierce and powerful and so very🔥. Onyx is the perfect alphahole and Angel has a backbones like no other. When trouble comes there's no one better to help Angel than a Devil named Onyx.
Loved this book!!! Angel and Onyx have hated each other since collage and are now working together. You can feel the tension between them but also the chemistry and let me tell you it’s on another level. When Angel finds herself in a situation she goes to the only person that can help her, Onyx!! Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down!!! You definitely don’t want to miss this one!!
This book is a standalone but Onyx is my favourite of the Santo men so far!!!
Onyx is a real alphahole. He is arrogant, smug and doesn’t hesitate to walk over people if he knows it will get him what he wants. His favourite target is Angel and he knows exactly how to push her buttons. Angel is no pushover herself and she loves to try and push Onyx’s buttons as well. The two of them are at each other’s throats pretty much the whole book and I love it!!!
When someone targets Angel the only person she can really turn to for help is Onyx, but she doesn’t approve of the way he goes about solving certain problems. This causes more than a few issues, but also pushes them closer together.
I think this is my favourite book involving the Santo men and I couldn’t put it down
This! THIS is what enemies to lovers is all about. I love that trope and this book nailed it 100% with the perfect combination of love/hate/angst. I was here for ever single word written on the page. Eve knocked it out of the park with this one and I highly suggest you read this book. I was hooked from the beginning, and want Onyx in my life.
Never thought I love Onyx but here we are because yes, just yes. This was a perfect enemies to lovers book. Onyx and Angel are just amazing together. She's got the backbone needed to deal with him but they work beautifully together.
If you think alpha****s are hot, then you're going to love Onyx Santo. But don't worry about Onyx's nemesis Angel Balan, she gives as good as she gets ... and then some! The banter. The drama. The mystery. The suspense. The twists. The steam. Loved all of it!
Holy crap so many twists and turns! This story was so good! Onyx is ugh the perfect badboy ! Onyx and Angel are the perfect match! I couldn't get enough of their dynamic ! 5 Star read 10/10 recommend!!
5 stars is not enough! I am a harsh reader and I don’t give 5 stars lightly. But this book was an amazing surprise. There were no weak heroes or heroines no fake dialogues, no stupid and fake conversations! It felt real ! I am really surprised that I am surprised about how good this book was! Ps I didn’t leave a 5* review in a really long time! PLEASE READ THIS BOOK !
I’m here for it!! Yess 🙌🏼🙌🏼 this book was absolutely amazing! I was pulled in from the very start of this book! Onyx is one ruthless Devil for sure! He definitely gets under Angels skin. There was kindle gripping moments were I was like oh boy I could totally kick you lol, but I was waiting for Angels reactions for sure. Onyx knows just all the right buttons to push! The steaminess that comes between them will have you drooling for sure!! This is a great enemies to lovers that you don’t wanna miss! This is yet another great read from Eve!
Absolutely adored Onyx. Despite the warning, this alphahole enemies to lovers romance is filled with those heart ripping moments we crave in steamy romance books. Slow burn to start, but heats up well after the halfway mark and descends into the sort of mayhem ta Devil is infamous for making.
An absolute stop what you're doing....get yourself comfortable because there won't be any getting the jobs done today...prepare the snacks and drinks....and tell everyone you will be unavailable for the foreseeable future....this book will grab you by the throat and will not let go until you have turned the very last page. It has angst. It has action. It has so much heat your fingers will BURN!!!!! Evie had once again smashed it out of the park....and has settled firmly into the position of one of my go to authors because I know every book she writes is going to leave me oh so satisfied!!!!!
I haven't been reading easily lately and I devoured this book in one sitting. Staying up until 3 am to finish it. I absolutely loved these two characters and everything about them!! This is definitely one you want to check out!
Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Trope: Hate to lovers Angst: 😱😱😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
I've read all the Ruthless Devils books and this one was my favorite, by far! We met Onyx Santo in the other Ruthless Devils books and knew that he was a grade A *sshole, so you just knew his story was going to be a doozy and Eve did not disappoint. Angel Balan and Onyx Santo met in college and he humiliated her on a dare, basically sealing the fate on their future working relationship. The two constantly swipe at each, steal each other's clients, and generally make the other's life hell in the most cutthroat ways they can think up. But is it fighting ... or foreplay? When someone starts threatening Angel, despite their animosity she knows that's not his style and Onyx and his friends step up to help Angel which sets the two of them up
This is seriously one of my favorite enemies to lovers, ever! If you love an unapologetic alphahole that never truly is redeemed, this one is for you, lol. These two truly drive each other crazy and that translates into some crazy hot chemistry and hate smexy. The problem I have with most enemies to lovers is it feels like the switch is too fast. They go from hating each other to lovey dovey. This does not happen here. The relationship development is gradual without changing either of their base personalities. They are who they are, but their relationship still evolves until it's a true relationship with feelings involved. But Onyx stays Onyx. He never really stops being a d!ck. Which I can appreciate, lol. On top of being super hot, Ruthless Devil had lots of laugh out loud moments, action, and suspense with the whodunnit having you guessing till the very end. Absolutely adored this book!
This book was provided by the author through Wildfire Marketing Solutions in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Eve L. Mitchell and Wildfire Marketing Solutions!
Ruthless Devil is the fourth book in The Ruthless Devils series and tells the story of Onyx and Angel. Although this is the fourth book in the series, Ruthless Devil can be read as a standalone.
When I read the third book in The Ruthless Devils series, Ruthless Charm, I thought it was the last book we were going to get in The Ruthless Devils series. When I read the news that we were going to get a book about Onyx, I was so happy! I’ve always been intrigued by Onyx because he was such a strange brother/cousin and such an asshole. I’m really happy that Eve L. Mitchell gave us a book about Onyx because I really enjoyed reading it!
Like I mentioned above, Onyx is a real asshole. He’s so mean but also so hot! I get why Angel keeps on fighting with him, lol. Just like the other The Ruthless Devils books, something bad has happened and the Devils need to fix it. I really liked seeing Onyx and Angel work together and fall for each other. This book has everything that my Enemies to Lovers heart desires!
Ruthless Devil was such an amazing book, and I really enjoyed reading it. It didn’t take me long to finish it because Ruthless Devil is such a fast-paced, well-written read. If you enjoy a good Enemies to Lovers Romance or an Office Romance, then this book is definitely something for you! I also highly recommend the other books in The Ruthless Devils series if you’re looking for some good Sports Romance books!
I was obsessed with Jett, Gray and Ash's books hence why i was so excited Onyx was getting his book- he was such an arse and intrigued me, i wanted more....... It didnt bother me one bit that the twins and Ash were not in this book. I like how it can be classed as a standalone if you havent read the others. Onyx Santo had my full attention!!!!
Who doesnt love a cheeky enemies to lovers- this one was bursting with chemistry, tension, hate, jeeezzz i loved it
Onyx Santo is the definition of "Ruthless Devil" he said what he thought and did what he wanted sparing no ones feelings and having zero cares about it!! The other "Devils" Jer and Coop i loved. They all had a close bond with eachother and even after leaving college they didnt stop "Mayhem". Onyx obvs was my fave but there was something about Cooper too- i found him mysterious 🥰
Onyx and Angels interactions were pure gold- the bickering and constant trying to one up eachother 🤭 that push and pull, eventually the lines were going to blur from hate to lust...... it was inevitable!
Angel may have despised Onyx but she knew full well he was the one person who could help her and it showed the type of person he was when he didnt hesitate and even went the exta mile with her....
There wasnt a dull moment, and the way the stalker was with Angel was horrible but Eve wrote it spot on. It was believable plus trying to connect the dots on who this stalker was and why had me engrossed! The ending did not disappoint
The other Santo books were amazing and i think this one topped it for me! Onyx Santo is by far my Fave Devil.....
