More than twenty years after studying English at the University of New Orleans, Tiffany Ann is excited to be living out her dream of putting her stories on paper and sharing them. Writing contemporary paranormal romances with a splash of science fiction and magical realism. Her books are meant for anyone whose heart believes in true love.
Born and raised outside New Orleans, she is married to her soulmate and is the mother of four teenagers, and is extremely proud of her Louisiana heritage, going back eight generations. Tiffany works in the hotel industry and serves on several boards, benefiting her community. Her favorite movie is "The Princess Bride" and her favorite book is "Wuthering Heights."
Tiffany loves to read and support indie authors living the same dream she is, and loves to hear from fans.
This book had a lot of characters and we got all of their POVs so that’s why I’m rating it 3.75. However it was a very good story! It just got a little confusing with so many POVs. This one was much different from the first 2 books in the series and I really liked that. I can’t wait to continue reading this series!
I loved all the characters. I enjoyed all the points of views, including the bad guys. I loved Lydia's backstory and how it affected her ability to trust. There was everything you need in a vampire story, romance, steam, passion, action, humour and awesome badass villains. A must read for all vampire lovers.
As usual Tiffany has written another awesome story in the Hotel Lamia series! The characters are well thought out and the story is engaging. Can't wait for more from this author!
Adventure and prophecy with an extra slice of spice
An earthquake starts a catastrophic chain of events, releasing imprisoned vampires back into the world to prey on humans. Hunters who have chosen immortality are accompanied by the characters from previous books, all tasked with returning the escapees to their coffin prisons before more humans are killed. Equals are forced into challenging new roles. Prophecy scrolls and battles rage around the group and from within, all while hiding behind the front of running a hotel. Tension is high as new equals find their way to one another, and others face rejection from their fated person. The thing about prophecies-there is always one more.
GOOD READ WARNING
Readers will want a quiet place with no one interrupting them when you start this one. Get comfy and make sure your reader is fully charged. The characters and the storyline will suck you in. It may also cause adverse side effects such as threatening whoever interrupts you, a slight feeling of loss when you turn the last page, or wistful sighing accompanied by feel-good tingles after finishing the book.
This was my first dive into the author’s “Hotel Lamia” series. It had adventure, conflict and in-depth character development. I loved the slow burn vampire romance between Samson and Lydia. Highly recommend.
This is an awesome series. I didn't truly understand everything as I have not read the first couple. But if you love vampire stories that has action, love and cool characters then this is for you.
I think this is my favorite book I’ve written so far. Each character makes me smile. There’s more action in this book than any other, and I hope you enjoy every bit of it.
I have never been a speed reader, until Tiffany Ann gave me Anjal to read. Now I cannot put her books down! I have never enjoyed vampire romances due to the overdone spice and concentration about the character's bedroom life. This series is the opposite. It focuses on the story and plot over the romance in the background. I cannot tear myself away from this series until I've devoured every page.
Casablanca has to be my favorite out of the series so far. Lydia running from the pain in her past, while poor Samson had to stay strong and be there for her while she healed. I was in tears multiple times reading this one, (yes tears ugly crying over a vampire) The things Samson says to Lydia sound so familiar to the things my husband has said to me, things he had to say to help pick me up after the years of trauma and hurt. The words Lydia and Samson exchange just pulled my heart out. I wanted to grab Lydia and give her a hug and cry with her for the horrible men in the world. Samson isn't one of those guys, he is the one to pick her up and help her find her pieces. Having a partner who doesn't want to make you into their partner but wants to see you become your own power and stand beside you. That is what love is about, standing strong together and lifting each other when one stumbles, it is not about being everything for someone else it is about being there when they need you.
I cannot recommend Tiffany Ann's Hotel Lamia series enough! I already picked up Return to New Orleans because I have to know what happens next with the main plot. I love the characters! I love the writing! I love this story!
Thanks to Booksprout and the author for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion. This book is set in Casablanca and the reader is drawn in to imagine it with descriptions of food and the culture. The start of this book sets the scene for action by the hunters, getting together to investigate what happened and provide support or safe imprisonment to those captured. This runs alongside the story of romance and sex between another couple; the developing relationship is interesting and realistic while we continue to read more about characters we already know and love. This is a totally different take on vampire stories and I recommend you don't miss it!
This is a really good continuation of the series. I really think the back story and the world Tiffany built with the series. Sampson is awesome. He has his hands full with Lydia. You get several character points of view in this one. At first I thought that would be annoying but it really helps to move the story forward. I like that they choose a new name when they become a vampire. It just took me a minute to get used to the change. I can’t wait to read the next one. We’re going back to New Orleans.
Each of these books starts with some ancient history, and this is no exception. Wye, half gipsy, is hounded away from her people for racist reasons. Revenge will surely follow, and so the story begins. Casablanca is drawn in the readers mind as well as New Orleans and New York were in the first two books, the characters are well drawn too. I'm enjoying this series.
I suggest reading books one and two first, it really helps with understanding the story. This was a great continuation of a fantastic series. The characters and story will draw you in and keep you wanting more!!! I highly recommend! No Spoilers!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have no idea that this series would grab me like it has. The characters, good, bad, and everything between, are fascinating and you will find yourself cheering for them. The story/plot line is absolutely mind boggling with the twists involved.
