A fresh start, an open heart, an impossible choice. Battered and emotionally bruised Victoria Turnbull is hiding away until a visit from an old friend encourages her out into the world again. Then when she stumbles into the arms of a handsome stranger, her life takes a new and exciting turn.
Craig Fenwick––the handsome stranger––is ambitious, outgoing and Vicky falls hard for the charismatic Craig. Finally, she can move on with her life and envisions marrying the man she believes loves her as much as she loves them.
Yet, Vicky is harbouring a shameful secret and unbeknown to her, Craig has a terrible secret of his own. The truth surrounding his brother’s death. Secrets that stop them from being truly intimate with one another. And when Vicky is reunited with her first love, Chris, at a friend’s wedding, following Chris’s heartfelt revelation, she charges head-first into a life-long promise.
But when Craig’s life begins to unravel after––to save Vicky’s honour––he publically punches his boss, Vicky must decide whether all promises are worth keeping after all, or whether she must put the needs of her own heart above all else, or risk ruining her––and Craig’s––life, forever.
Described as a modern-day Sidney Sheldon or Judith Krantz, Isabella writes epic novels. Stories that span continents and lifetimes.
Her novels are filled with passion and angst as well as heartbreak and hope, but most importantly, strong relatable characters that leave you uplifted. Her style of writing and story themes appeal to readers of Taylor Jenkins Reid, Jojo Moyes, Jodi Picoult, Nicholas Sparks and Colleen Hoover.
She is a self-confessed tea addict, a massive theatre 'loveie' and after a lifetime of travelling the globe she loves nothing more than curling up on the sofa in her 'Writing Room', lighting the fire and thinking about her next plot twist.
Before becoming a fiction writer she had a successful career in sales and marketing and published two international best-sellers in non-fiction. She lives in north-east England with her husband, their two children and one loony Bassett Hound and two equally unhinged goldfish.
Wow. I am blown away yet again by the powerful and addictive writing of Isabella Wiles! This book had it all and I am now torn between desperately wanting to know things will end for Victoria (and rooting for that HEA she so deserves) and not wanting this immersive, exciting, all-the-feels reading journey to end... because I know I will have a major book hangover when I turn that last page! This is indie storytelling at its absolute best. IMHO it's up there with CoHo and then some. I can't wait for more bookworms to discover this series, which lends itself perfectly to bookclubs, but I shall be equally envious that they get to read these stories for the first time. They really are that good!
Wow, Victoria does it again! We know she has three great loves so is this number two? Is this the one? Will she finally get her happy ever after? I can tell you there are wedding bells! I can also promise a rip roaring ride along the way, as Victoria grows a little older and a little wiser, she is more focused on what she wants or is she? It is another story that makes you want to run over and put the kettle on and crack out the biscuits and just sit with Victoria and listen and be there for her. A twist in the tail again plenty of fast paced action but also some soul searching, can't wait for the the third book!!
Book 2, the story resumes three months before the last chapter in book 1. The story is engaging and immersive; readers delve into the lives of Victoria and Craig as life interferes. The book is written in the present tense, so readers read the narrative in real-time. A personal pleasant way to read since nothing in the future can be foreseen and readers learn what happens at the same time as the characters.

Wow what an emotional roller coaster this story was. Be sure to have your tissues handy. The author pulls you in and makes you connect with Victoria and want to hug at times and at other times you just want to shake some sense into her. The descriptive locations made me feel like I was there. I would recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book via StoryOrigin and I am voluntarily leaving my review.
