I need a fake mate so I can go to a family party and not be seen as the sad single.

Marlene ist eine Wolfswandlerin,die seit Jahren fern von ihrem Rudel lebt und als Krankenschwester arbeitet.Der Druck als Tochter des Alphas zu leben hat sie fortgetrieben .Eigentlich sollte sie den jungen aufstrebenden Wolf aus ihrem Rudel heiraten doch sie mochte ihn nicht , ist er doch ein engstirniger,sehr bestimmender Typ ,der sich mit Gewalt holen wollte was Marlene ihm nicht freiwillig geben will.
Unter den Menschen lebt sie nun schon lange un d mit Frank,einem menschen verbindet sie eine tiefe freundschaft,auch wenn sie ihm noch nicht anvertrauthat warum sie ihre Familie verlassen hat.
Als die Einladung zu einer Hochzeit eintrudelt bleibt Marlene nichts übrig als hin zu gehen. Um den Kommentaren ihrer Mutter zu entgehen gibt sie vor mit ihrem Freund auf zu laufen,doch wen soll sie mitnehmen ?
Frank ist bereit den Part zu übenehmen ,allerdings weiss er nicht was ihn da noch so erwarten wird,denn alas Mensch kann er da nicht auflaufen . Eine Täuschung muss her.
Wird es gelingen die Maskerade aufrecht zu erhalten ? Frank muss schnell feststellen das seine Gefühle für Marlene doch tiefer gehen als er sich selber eingestehen wollte . Doch wie wird Marlene darauf reagieren und wird ihre Familie ihre Beziehung ,so es eine wird akzeptieren ?

Marlene, the eldest daughter of the wolf clan Alpha, has left the family home some ten years ago because she felt smothered with decisions being made in her place and people chosen for her as well as even her choice of career. She went to her father and stated that she wanted to go to Medical school and fulfill her dream. The Alpha said that he authorized it and that she could resume her place as heir once she returned. She never did. She left medical school and became a nurse.
Frank is a discharged veteran who found himself in a shifter hospital with severe injuries. Marlene was his assigned nurse and helped him make a full recovery. he has since, become her best friend and now lives next door from her place. However, he is Human.
The author shines again with this love story well conceived amongst the first responders of the shifter medical center where adventure, confrontation, love, defiance and, multiple heart warming occasions make this book a 5 Stars rated very well written story.

“Was gonna call and ask if you felt like grabbing a coffee, but then I thought, naw, I’ll just move into her building instead,”
This was so much better than Dragon Doctor and I have unironically fell for Marlene and Frank. I love a good friends to lovers scenarios and there interactions were natural. This once was much faster paced then the first and we actually get some shifting! I love Marlene being tough and standing up to traditions and choosing Frank. We get introduction to the next main characters (which I have started) and we get a little halfling baby ♥ .
Overall it was a fast read but a dreadful baby name...

Family Drama
Marlene and Frank's love story started when Frank, a human was admitted to shifter hospital where wolf shifter Marlene worked as a nurse. Friendly from the start, their relationship was forbidden, but continued to grow and blossom into more. The strained family dynamic worsened as a result. Lots of fun repartee, spicy romance and likable main characters.
This is the second book in this series. I enjoyed reading both books and am looking forward to reading more of this series.

Wow. This was... not great. I wanted to like it! It has a non-typical shifter set up. It has regular humans not being The Enemy or The Weak Ones. It has equal-level main characters.
What it doesn't have is any chemistry at all between the leads. They're both incredibly boring. Bizarrely boring. We're in their heads (the book alternates POVs by chapter) and there is so much interiority - we get to see every single tiny little thought... but their thoughts are dull.
I stopped at about 30%. I just gave up.

What awesome story and I couldn't put my Kindle down!
Frank was in the first book when he ended up in the shifter hospital. Lily was his doctor and Marlene was his nurse. When this book started, Frank was moving next door to Marlene.

Very Nice Story
I enjoyed reading this story. The characters were awesome. I just loved their interactions with each other. There was always something happening that kept your interest. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
