Rate this book
The opportunity for spiritual depth this book provides will foster in readers a desire to spend more consistent time in prayer. As a result, readers will begin to experience a sense of renewal and peace. More importantly, readers will gain a deeper understanding of how to become touchstones for others―“living stones” that point the way toward Jesus. Others around them will be impacted as they see the change in the reader who has been challenged to sort the precious from the worthless in their lives.

1 Vicki J. Kuyper is an avid traveler who has drown closer to God through her travels. With hopes to see more of the world, she has already journeyed to 40 countries across five continents. She holds a bachelor of science degree in journalism from California Polytechnic State University.
2 This book was first printed in 2008, this is a somewhat recent date therefore the works of literature are the same. They have been using the same techniques for a while now so her writing would not have changed that much.
3. There is not a specific setting she is just telling us her story and her lifetime of following God and how he changed her for the better even when she didn't think so.
4 Vicki- She writes the book but she is also the main character. She tells us about her journey with the Lord and how she stays connected.
Mark- Is also a big part of this because he was one of Vicki’s blessing and he has experiences with God as well.
5 The theme is getting a connection with God. Making that jump to be saved and all the great blessings that He will bring you.
6 This book takes you through personal examples and biblical stories how to use their five senses as a way of developing a more peaceful and deeper relationship with God. It shows all the different ways that people connected with God and how the experienced Him.
7 What she does most in this book is make you be able to visualize the connection and have a deep understanding of it.
8. “Trust in the Lord.” This is said throughout the book a lot because the whole book is about building a connection with the Lord and part of building that connection is trusting Him.
“God works in mysterious ways.” This is important to me because i’ve seen the way that He has worked with me and even though sometimes I may not agree it is always the best pla.
“The ten commandments” In the book it list the ten commandments and these are the “laws” of God that you are supposed to follow.
