When I first got a Facebook ad for this one, I left a comment that was, perhaps, rather unkind:
Now there's the foundation for a strong romance. "Due to some supernatural whatever, I can have no partner but you, and I have absolutely no say in this. Maybe you kind of do, but I will kidnap and browbeat you until you agree to live with it, and if you still don't, I'll do some terrorism. So how about it, baby?"
For that, Renee Rose reported me for bullying, resulting in a brief restriction on posting or commenting on anything, including groups I manage myself.
Well, Renee, you just woke a different dragon. Way to go.
Whatever Facebook believes, I am not the appropriate audience for shifter romances. I almost refused to watch Game of Thrones because it has dragons. (I refuse to watch it now, but that's because of the ending.) But even leaving aside any supernatural elements, I'm not the target audience for dubcon, noncon, or forced proximity either. What is it about involuntary romance that apparently sells so well? Not well enough to get off Kindle Unlimited, of course, but people do read and write (and rewrite) (and rewrite) (and rewrite) (and rewrite) (and rewrite) (and rewrite) (and rewrite) (and rewrite) (and rewrite) this stuff. I can only assume the rationalization goes something like this:
"Well, I wouldn't normally want a guy to control my entire life, but he's really hot and he buys me stuff and he has a 1.000 orgasm average, and once I found all that out, it was kind of voluntary. I mean, yeah, the threat of him doing some terrorism is always in the background, but he says I'm literally the only person in the world who can prevent him from giving in to his most destructive impulses. And he has household staff and unlimited wealth, so I don't have to work or go to school or pay bills or clean up my kid's poop anymore, which is nice. I don't even have to put foundation on, because he'll give it to me all night long no matter what I look like. Plus I have the high moral ground because I resisted at first, unlike those slutty, whorish, slutty slutty slut whores who actively pursue kept-woman status and don't like books."
Escapism into a life of ease, I get. Escapism into a different kind of trap, albeit a more comfortable trap? That I don't get and never will.
Anyway. The book. Tabitha is an ex-fashion model who has decided to become a nomad, mostly to get away from all the men who wanted to do everything I just described, only without the courtesy to be hot, sufficiently rich, and good at sex. She can also see people's "auras," and I don't know why this detail matters. And then she happens upon a dragon guy.
A SEXY dragon guy.
No, no. I said a SEXY dragon guy.
Therrrrrrrrre we go.
It takes dragon guy Gabriel a good decade to happen upon Tabitha again. Not missing his chance this time, he has to abide by ancient courtship rituals and confine her to his castle and show off his bitchin' armies, which under normal circumstances would apparently be enough for her to get into the confinement part. But as a Sassy and Strong Female Who Brings the Alpha to His Knees, she's not into it. Until he shows her—what else?—the library.
Look, I'm all about a nice library, but can't these guys ever show the heroine a different room? A nice wine and cheese cellar, maybe? A beautifully maintained conservatory? Hell, I think we'd all like an absurdly luxurious bathroom, right?
She also likes the food.
And the friendly servants.
And Gabriel's uninvited but deft sexual touching.
And she has no objection to being called "little one." I'm only five feet tall, and I can't remember if my husband has ever called me his "little" anything. Probably because he's into grown-ass women.
Even with all these delights at her disposal, Tabitha refuses to surrender into becoming Gabriel's mate. She just can't be with a guy who's centuries old and therefore can't understand her constant modern pop culture references. Hey, I hear that. Mr. M and I wouldn't have lasted this long if one of us were unable to quote entire Simpsons episodes at length.
But Gabriel is modern enough to think to install a tracking device in Tabitha's literal golden handcuffs, which comes in handy when she inevitably botches her only escape attempt. What, he didn't hire a spymaster to handle security breaches? Dumb, Gabriel.
Eventually they come to an arrangement: They'll spend the next 40 days and 40 nights together, and if Tabitha still doesn't want to spend the rest of her life fucking a reptilian whose breath permanently smells like a spicy meatball sub after that, he'll grow up and deal.
He will not grow up and deal.
How many of us have been with a guy who was fantastic at sex but awful at every other part of the relationship? Shouldn't we all be done with that kind of guy after the first time we experience one?
Also Tabitha has some wolf-shifter friends, only she didn't know they were wolf shifters, and they take it upon themselves to rescue her from Gabriel, only by that point she's in love with him and his dragon and doesn't want either of them hurt, so she has to talk them down. And they all rut happily ever after.
I tried. I'm no closer to grasping the appeal of shifters than I was before. Although I think I know what Mr. M would be if he were a shifter.

4.25 stars!
This was another sexy and entertaining read in the Shifter Ops series by Renee Rose and Lee Savino! I love when authors are able to allow readers to see a different side to villains, so I was stoked when I realized that this would be Gabriel and Tabitha's story. Gabriel is the epitome of what an ancient dragon would embody--possessive, controlling, and absolutely obsessed with his mate's safety. My only complaint is that I feel like Tabitha's reservations about becoming Gabriel's mate went on for too long, only for them to be too easily forgotten about towards the end. I felt like the action towards the end deserved to be fleshed out more, but overall I enjoyed this novel and cannot wait for Channing's story next ♡

It's no secret I love dragons. So I was super excited when this finally popped up in my library. I've been waiting for Gabriel and Tabitha's story since book 3 and it did not disappoint. Tabitha woke Gabriel and his dragon up 10 years ago after a very long slumber and what the saw made her flee. Since then Gabriel has been searching for her and when he finally locates her, he whisks her away to his castle to show her that they are meant to be together.
Tabitha is not like most women and Gabriel soon finds that she won't be wooed with material things and money. But time is running out for him and his dragon and their need to claim the one woman that is able to carry his Firebrand. Stuck between wanting to keep Tabitha forever and scared his Firebrand will injure her, he pushes her away as much as he pulls her towards him.
Tabitha is a free spirit and is fascinated by the man that has essentially kidnapped her. He provides for her in ways she never thought she'd want but she wants both man and dragon, not just parts of him. Can Tabitha convince Gabriel she can love and tame both man and beast? Will Gabriel trust in himself and Tabitha to let go of the control he has held onto with an iron grasp?
Like I said...this would have been a 3 stars just for the dragon element haha. Add in a dominant and possessive alpha male and an independent and feisty female, well it had it me hooked. I loved Gabriel and how he was with Tabitha. I loved Tabitha and her ability to be both feminine, yet fierce. The action, the wooing, the steam and the banter was so good. I wish we had gotten more time with them to be honest. I felt like it ended way too quickly. However, I can't wait for the bear shifters in the next books. Overall, a fantastic installment in this dirty and addictive series.

Another delicious visit to the sexy Shifter OPs world. Renee and Lee always bring all the spice with some fast paced supernatural suspense and action. Tabitha and Gabriel have loads of that fated mate intensity, and it was fun to see Gabriel as our hero. And he’s all alpha dragon- that die for your mate, over the top, controlling and protective alpha charisma. The pacing wasn’t as ideal for me as in other books (resolution felt too packed, and Tabitha’s resistance dragged a bit for me), but as always I had a lot of fun and enjoyed this delicious escape into this world.

Too bad she’s not impressed with his material things or the idea of being kidnapped and controlled.
Really loved this one! Super smexy and the storyline was awesome. I loved Gabriel’s struggles when it came to dealing with a modern, independent woman, lol. Tabitha is definitely not a woman who’s going to roll over for any man.. or dragon shifter. Can’t wait to see who is up next!

Shifter Romance with Dragons 🐉
Yeah I love Shifters and I love Dragons 🐉 that are Shifters. The H is a Dragon 🐉 and he carries the h away with him. The h eventually decides that she is the Dragon’s mate, but it takes her a little while for her to realize what the H knew from the beginning. Meanwhile there is 🔥 and action. The is a great HEA at the end. I really recommend this book

Good but my least favorite book in the series.
We have met Gabriel Dieter the dragon shifter in the previous books in the series. He’s been the evil villain. In this story we learn why. We’ve also met Tabitha earlier in the series. She is a free spirit. Tabitha is Gabriel’s mate and he kidnaps her to claim and protect her. Gabriel and Tabitha have crazy chemistry but they also have a lot of animosity, largely stemming from him keeping her a prisoner. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, strong friendships, sexy times, real life issues, imperfect characters, high stress situations, laugh out loud moments, dangerous situations, redemption, and swoony shifter love. I have been really liking this series but I was not as big a fan of this book. It’s a me thing though. I have a hard time with believing anyone would be physically attracted and turned on by to someone who is keeping you a prisoner against your will. Once the story moved on from that part I enjoyed the rest of the story. It’s a 3.5 stars for me. Despite my difficulty with parts of this book, I plan to read the next book in the series.

A wonderful book, a good story very well told, but this one doesn't make me jump over my shadow and change my mind: I don't really like dragons! So one star deduction for the dragon 🐉 - otherwise everything as good as always - this team of authors just has it!

I was totally prepared to just hate Gabriel, especially after he kidnapped Tabitha. Not to mention his various interactions with the Black Wolf pack, including previously kidnapping Adele, basically trying to kidnap Rafe, etc. What I had not planned on was feeling at all sympathetic to Gabriel's plight. He's been searching for his mate a very long time though; long in the sense of recently events, not to mention long over the course of his lifetime.
At first, Tabitha is none too happy with him either. And she spends her time doing nothing but trying to figure out how to escape, even attempting to do so on more than one occasion. Because she is not the type of woman who wants to be held captive or even just kept, regardless of what amazing things she is surrounded by.
Other than their physical attraction, there is not much to persuade Tabitha to hang around, because while Gabriel wants to give her the world, he does not want to share any part of himself with her. He thinks he's being strong and brave; she thinks he's being deceptive and withholding.
Part of the issue is that he has old-fashioned ideas about love and courtship; very old, as in Middle Ages old. In fact, considering where and when he came from, his ideas are actually quite progressive. But it does take quite a bit before he realizes just how much he has to change in order to be a part of Tabitha's modern world, and have any chance of keeping her.
Luckily, he does finally begin to loosen up, and even more importantly to open up around her. Once she feels that he is really trying to make a connection, they finally have a real chance at coming together in any meaningful way. Not that outside factors don't come in to play, however, that certainly shake things up; and that's before we even get to the dragon!

Oh! This is officially my new favorite Renee Rose and Lee Savino story. Everything about this paranormal romance ticked off all the boxes of what makes for a good story. The cat and mouse games that Gabriel likes to play and then the power plays between him and Tabitha were positively delightful. And I loved how despite everything, Tabitha was so strong and resilient. Can’t leave out the smexy times because those had the addition of being dragon hot. I’m really enjoying this series. The alphas have their tragic sides and I love how Ms. Rose and Ms. Savino creatively match their mate’s characters to them to balance and blend. Everything about this story was enjoyable and I cannot wait to read what comes next.

This is an intense story that had me going back and forth on the review. The writing works, there's a definite flow but parts of it just weren't for me. Gabriel is an ancient dragon shifter and with that comes old ways of handling his fated mate. Tabitha is a strong woman in her every day life but behind the locked doors of the faraway castle she's trying to deal with her captive situation and that pull she has to him. I really enjoyed that connection that they have. My issues were more with the captive side of things, bound, and loss of her freedoms. Those times are extremely intense and push the edge for Tabitha. I'm still enjoying this series and looking forward to more.

What a fiery wild ride!🔥
I have to admit, when I found out this series was shifting from wolves to dragons I was less than impressed. It seemed like a weird transition, and I wasn’t sure If I could get on board with the idea of a dragon shifter, but holy hell, did this book change my mind. Im 1000% on board with a dragon shifter novel. In fact, give me ALL the dragon shifter books please!
Gabriel is everything you want in a book like this. Smug, arrogant, dominating, protective and sexy, but also extremely vulnerable with the right person. Tabitha was perfect for him, and the two had a love story for the ages.
This book was a great addition to this series, and I can’t wait for the next book. I know it will be a gooder.

Love this Author Duo!!
I read each of these authors separately, but something extra special happens when they collaborate on this series.
We meet Tabitha at 18 as she is hiking in the mountains of Northern Italy. Where she awakens a sleeping alpha. It takes him another 10 years to relocate her. At which time he takes her to his home in Transylvania.
He is centuries old, and has great treasures. None of which impresses Tabitha. It is tense and humorous how these two interact. Finally a trial period is agreed upon to get to know each other.
An interesting journey, fabulous characters, ill-timed rescue and the realization that fate may really know what it is doing. Action-packed and fabulous.

He is centuries old, and has great treasures. None of which impresses Tabitha. It is tense and humorous how these two interact. Finally a trial period is agreed upon to get to know each other.
An interesting journey, fabulous characters, ill-timed rescue and the realization that fate may really know what it is doing. Action-packed and fabulous.

In no world should they ever be together.
I think that's the main reason I stopped reading paranormal romances. I want to fall in a story and never find my way out. However, the fantasy worlds are just too far from reality for me. That's not the case with this one. In fact, it was the perfect blend of both to get lost in.
Tabitha needs time to decompress, so she hits the road looking for new merchandise along the way. When she's seduced into attending a private antique sale, she's in for more than she bargained. A dragon shifter. A love that spans centuries. A wolf pack rescue. It's one wild ride.
I only have one small complaint. I thought that the story stalled out a couple of times. It wasn't to the point that I wanted to stop reading, but the pace in certain sections was a bit slow. At those moments, I wanted things to hurry up and get on with it. I still thought this was a really good read.

Unfortunately this is the fourth book in a series by these authors and whilst I’ve loved all the other books this one did not vibe with me.
I firstly felt it was just too short. What I liked about this series before was it was steamy but there was also a lot of depth to the characters. I didn’t get this feeling with this book as everything was quite brushed over.
I also didn’t like the fact that our MFC was made out in all the other books to be so independent but in this one she just completely loses that.
I like instant love but this was VERY instant love, maybe a bit too much.

I honestly cannot comprehend the 4+star ratings for this book. It was beyond awful. There was nothing likeable or even remotely real about either MC. The FMC was portrayed in previous books as very independent and strong, not being impressed by wealth or privilege. Even turned off by it. She had turned her back on it and lived in a refurbished train car. Then she's kidnapped, drugged, and flown across the world by a stranger. One that took her phone away, placed her in cuffs, chased her as she ran away terrified through his castle, locked her naked in her room to lay on the bed all day waiting for him to return after he did his big-important-man things, didn't stop when she told him she didn't want what he was doing, and treated her like a possession. Every time he called her his treasure, I vomited in my mouth. But she was super excited about the private jet, spontaneous trips to Paris, the shopping, the designer clothes, even though she kept claiming she "could care less about these things" she clearly did. When he put her in a literal cage then made her give him a blow job through the bars I was disgusted. She made zero sense. She was supposed to be strong, demanded freedom, yet allowed him to do anything he wanted to her. It wasn't kinky, it was assault. If she trusted him and consented, fine, but she didn't. I didn't feel any real strong connection. He didn't share anything of himself, didn't see her as an equal parnter, and his internal dialogue was comical. He was supposed to be excused by all this because he was "old world" but that just didn't ring true. In the previous books the MC's were flawed, but genuinely cared and tried to be good men. This guy was an evil arms dealer in past books, and suddenly even the ops guys were like, oh, you have a mate? All good then. Come to our house and have dinner. Be our neighbor. And Miss "I'd be happy with a back yard wedding" suddenly wanted to be the Princess in the castle with the fairytale wedding? Nothing was authentic or believable about this story.

I was BEYOND looking forward to this book and was BEYOND disappointed. I didn’t like it, at all.

This was... not for me. I didn't like it at all. It was way over the top with castles in Romania and magical powers. Half the time I was thinking "what series is this?" But worst of all is that the kidnapping, imprisoning and controlling of the Tabitha tainted and prevented the whole romance from hitting the spot. There can be no "romance" without freedom.
The authors tried to spin it that Gabriel wasn't a bad person, just old-fashioned. He's thousands of years old and his "courtship ritual" doesn't really translate to the modern world. But I call bullshit! Because once she told him she was not into this and wanted her freedom, he should have listened. Adjusted his stupid courtship plan. I thought the big ah-ha moment would happen when Tabitha almost died trying to escape the castle. But no! Their "compromise" that he had 40 days to convince her to stay came at the 2/3 point of the book.
Prior to that, it was just so messed up. He drugged her, kidnapped her, prevented her from leaving, prevented her from contacting her friends and family, put cuffs on her, disregarded all her wishes. I think the worst was when he locked her in her room and took all her clothes so she'd have to stay there naked all day. It made me gag. Gabriel had the most messed up inner monologue. At one point he thought about how he wanted to put her in a cage and only let her out for "breeding". Truth is for most of the book he saw her not as his future partner and equal, but as an object to own. Another treasure for his collection. Sure he didn't want harm to come to her, but there was no respect. To him, she was a thing.
The most uncomfortable thing to read about was how Tabitha was still turned on by him despite ALL of that. It's clear the authors tried to pull off a kinky prisoner and master thing. Gabriel wanted her to "submit" to him. But this kind of dominance game can only work with complete consent and trust. The submissive is really the one in control, because they are the ones who give the green light for everything that happens, and they can rescind their permission at any time. But here, Tabitha was a real prisoner. She didn't choose to be there, and she could not leave. It made all their sex scenes so icky and wrong.
Add to this that Gabriel was totally holding himself back the whole time: he would not kiss her, would always pull out, wouldn't even undress while she was always completely naked and helpless before him (not of her own free will). Again, this felt like it was supposed to be a kink thing but didn't work because of the lack of freedom and trust. Instead, it felt like Gabriel just wanted to take and take from her while giving her nothing. It wasn't love-making. But Tabitha ate it up! Even as she didn't like that he was holding back, she didn't push him too hard on it.
It felt like the authors tried to have it both ways with Tabitha: make her an independent, freedom-loving woman who couldn't be controlled by Gabriel or impressed with his fortune and power. But it was too little, too late. The whole thing already had a bad taste in my mouth by then and I was just trying to get the book over with as fast as possible. This may be my least favorite book in this universe, tied with Trey and Sheridan's book. I loved all the other books, but in this series the lows are VERY low. In any case, I'm relieved that this is over and I can move on to the next book in the series...

The story is the fourth in the Shifter Ops series by the writing duo of Ms. Renee Rose and Ms. Lee Savino. They have written several other series together, a spin-off of the Bad Boy Alpha's series. While this story is part of a series, it will read well enough as a stand-alone. The story's two main characters are Dragon shifter Gabriel Dieter and human Tabitha.
Tabitha has made a living as a model. She is ready for a change and gives it up. She was traveling when she saw a man coming out of the water, which appeared to be a hot spring, and then it was as if an earthquake had happened. In fear, she will run and escape and be confused when no one else seems to know about what happened. Once again, Gabriel has lost his treasure.
Ten years later, Gabriel will finally find Tabitha, his mate, the one he has longed for, for more than a thousand years. Now, they can be together again. When he and his dragon finds her, he needs to get her back to his castle and claim her.

Riveting shifter read filled with action and complex scenario between characters
This is a simply wonderful read as the story initially begins with Gabriele and Tabitha and the day that she had found him on the mountainside bathing in a pool of water, she knew there was something special about him she had felt a strange affinity. Gabriel had recognised her scent almost instantly however he had been asleep for so long and only just awoken, by the time he had clothed himself she had already disappeared and his ten-year search began in earnest.
When he discovered her again his dragon had shown himself and she had fainted so he had taken the time to whisk her away to his castle and had then placed her in the turret tower just like a real princess, after all he considered her to be his treasure.
As the story unwinds and relationship between Gabriele and his Dragon and Tabitha start to build their relationship as he is determined to make her his and so he promises her that if they have not become Mated within 40 days and 40 nights, he will allow her to return back to her home.
In the time they are together and as they start to get to know each other and he begins to take her out to Paris and to various other cities, he treats her to beautiful dresses and to wonderful escapades and soon she starts to feel as though she is falling in love with his “Treasure”.
In the meantime, and without wanting to spoil the read for other Tabitha’s friends have become concerned as they have not heard from her which is just not the norm, she has been watching them and has learned some very interesting facts about her friends and their mates which are surprisingly similar to Gabriele in their own way.
I assure you that you will love every single moment of this simply amazing book it will hold you within its grasp and I assure you that like me you will be totally captivated by the plot and the characters which are simply amazing.
I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book.

**Spoilers Ahead**
I really liked the first three books in this series. This one not so much. It might be someone’s cup of tea, but it was not mine.
It took forever for me to get through this book. I was just not comfortable reading parts of it.
I was disappointed when it became clear who was going to be Tabitha’s mate. I was hoping for almost anyone for sweet Tabitha, but not the bad guy from the first three books.
I love shifter books. Dragons and wolves are some of my favorites. I know fated mates can go to extremes to claim their mates. But what Gabriel does was so over the top it was uncomfortable to read. (For me)
His “old world” ways of getting what he claimed was his were extreme. He lures her to a secluded spot, drugs her, kidnaps her, puts her on his private plane and takes her out of the country. So not right.
Gabriel is everything Tabitha claims she hates in men. He’s rich, well dressed, good looking, overbearing, mysterious and powerful. Everything her mother has been pushing towards her most of her life. While she hates everything he is, she can’t seem to resist his touch. So even when she verbally says no, her body says yes. Consent? Not really. At least not for me.
She hates the position he’s put her in. The drugging, kidnapping, the magnetic restraints with trackers in them. The cage he puts her in, the luxurious bedroom he keeps her in. But she goes along with it because something “deep in her knows he will never hurt her”.
Their sex is rough and restrained. Literally. Not my preference in a romance book.
I liked learning more about Tabitha. She’s special in her own ways. But with Gabriel she can let loose and explore them more.
I loved Gabriel’s cook and Butler.
Gabriel I didn’t care for at all. He was just too over the top for me.
The last third of the book was great. It was exciting, lots of action and finally some healing for Gabriel and his dragon. I loved seeing the Wolves riding in to rescue Tabitha.
All in all it was not a bad book. Just not a book I would normally choose to read. It was a decent story, needed a bit more editing. But not bad. Not sure I’ll read it again when I reread the series though.
Dual points of view (with a couple of others thrown in), no cheating. They do work everything out and find that HEA.

OH MY LORD!!! Ok please disregard the screaming but I literally CAN'T HELP IT!!
I have been waiting for this story for so long. From the very minute... no from the very second we met this man in this series I KNEW I NEEDED HIM IN MY LIFE!
Gabriel was EVERY I wanted and SO MUCH MORE. Ok without completely gushing and embarrassing myself here Renee and Lee are the legit dream team in the PNR world. Their stories are legit literary gold and I can't get my hands on this stuff fast enough. Gabriel was ... well there are no words adequate enough to describe this man and his dragon. He was so tormented by the past and even being over 1,000 years old, having this massive castle and vast wealth, he was not really living. He has spent his entire life looking for his mate only to lose her. (Twice) lol Ok, no spoilers here but this man is tortured and carrying enough emotional baggage for the entire series to carry. I loved his dragon. I may even love his dragon more so than him. And that is saying a lot. He was so sweet and sad. Gab has been so scared of letting out his monster that he essentially locked him away. Let me tell you how beautiful this dragon is. How beautiful his relationship with his dragon is. And even more so HER relationship with this dragon. The feels yall. They are real.
This story was perfect and we get to see the guys again because let's face it... Gab is a force to be reckoned with. He knows what he wants and he has been looking for her for a very long time. No one is going to take her from him now. Cue the drama. I don't how they top this one. I don't know how this series continues to get better and better. High expectations each time and wow it just blows me away.

I have been waiting for this story for so long. From the very minute... no from the very second we met this man in this series I KNEW I NEEDED HIM IN MY LIFE!
Gabriel was EVERY I wanted and SO MUCH MORE. Ok without completely gushing and embarrassing myself here Renee and Lee are the legit dream team in the PNR world. Their stories are legit literary gold and I can't get my hands on this stuff fast enough. Gabriel was ... well there are no words adequate enough to describe this man and his dragon. He was so tormented by the past and even being over 1,000 years old, having this massive castle and vast wealth, he was not really living. He has spent his entire life looking for his mate only to lose her. (Twice) lol Ok, no spoilers here but this man is tortured and carrying enough emotional baggage for the entire series to carry. I loved his dragon. I may even love his dragon more so than him. And that is saying a lot. He was so sweet and sad. Gab has been so scared of letting out his monster that he essentially locked him away. Let me tell you how beautiful this dragon is. How beautiful his relationship with his dragon is. And even more so HER relationship with this dragon. The feels yall. They are real.

The 4th book in this Shifter Ops series, and I was really looking forward to this one, finding out about the enigmatic Gabriel, an ancient dragon shifter..... I love a good dragon read and this one didn't disappoint!!
We have met Gabriel in Alpha's Revenge, where he is the enemy of the wolf shifters having stolen away with Rafe's mate as he caught a whiff of the mate he had been chasing for years on her, but it was her scarf and not the woman herself, but this led him right to her friend Tabitha, who he captured and took away to his castle!
Tabitha didn't know she had met her dragon mate many years ago on a mountain, she has buried the memory and her reactions to the man she was in the pool! She awakes from her kidnapping to find herself a prisoner of Gabriel, who is an ancient dragon and not at all with it in the modern world, so his idea of wooing his mate is so show her his possessions and protect her. Of course Tabitha is not interested in his possessions, and sets about pushing Gabriel's buttons. The cat and mouse games then begin!!
I really loved this one, it has a great storyline as you learn of Gabriel and how he has lost his mate in a previous life, and swears he will not lose her again in this one. Gabriel and his dragon are at odds with one another because of this and Tabitha must learn how to communicate with them both if they are ever going to be mates.
Gabriel really struggles with the modern world and Tabitha is there, sassy and fiery pushing his buttons and causing mayhem, I just loved these two together!! I loved her excitement and enthusiasm at seeing his dragon and how she connected with him. There are some hot and steamy scenes as well! Loved this one, can't wait for the next one in this series. Highly recommended for any PNR lovers.

When I read Alpha's Revenge, book three in the Shifter Ops Series, I knew I wanted to read the book about the mysterious Gabriel Dieter and his fated mate, Tabitha. So when I started reading Alpha's Fire I was so curious how their relationship was going to develop. Plus with Gabriel being the enemy of the wolf shifters that Tabitha is friends with I knew it was going to be interesting. I just didn't know that the relationship was going to start with a kidnapping... I will say I got Beauty and the Beast vibes from this book. Gabriel needs Tabitha's love, his fated mate that he has waiting 1000 years for, whisks her off to a castle where he won't let her leave but showers her with wonders and gifts.
Gabriel has been waiting 1000 years for his fated mate after he lost his last one, while waiting he went into a deep sleep only to be awakened by the scent of his mate. Since then he's been searching the world for her, and just when he thinks he's found her he has actually found her friend wearing her scarf. But now he's found her, Tabitha, and he won't let a group of wolves or anyone else get in-between him and his mate...
When Tabitha set out on one of her journeys to see the world she didn't expect to meet Gabriel, a man she feels an instant attraction to. But she also wasn't expecting for him to knock her unconscious, kidnap her, and bring her to another country to his castle. As much as Tabitha might feel attracted to Gabriel she just wants to go home to her life. So Gabriel strikes a deal, if she stays with him for 40 days and 40 nights and she still doesn't want to be with him he'll let her go. But as the days go by and they get to know one another Tabitha's resolve begins to waiver...

“Alpha’s Fire: A Special Forces Shifter Romance” is the fourth story in the series “Shifter Ops” and it does not disappoint! Filled with suspense, mystery, romance, danger and lots of HOT, sexy scenes from page one! This can be read as a stand alone but I believe it is enjoyable to read all of them. Renee Rose and Lee Savino intertwine the characters from earlier books and they are an integral part of the story.
Gabriel Dieter has been looking for Tabitha since he awoke from a long sleep in Italy ten years ago. He realizes it is her scent which awakened him and she is his mate. He lost her years ago and has been searching for her ever since that time. Gabriel is an ancient being with a medieval mindset and famous for never releasing his treasures and he believes Tabitha is his greatest treasure. Yes, this creates a problem - Tabitha is a 20th century free spirit, sassy and a very independent woman. She is also the perfect match for the thousand, hundreds year old dragon shifter. They are a fun pair to read about and watch! Gabriel is fearful, he might lose control and his dragon would hurt her. In the meantime, Tabitha has met his dragon in her dreams and trusts him and loved him….Gabriel is at a total loss…..He wants her to feel safe with him….the man! He is willing to do everything to make her happy. Through Renee Rose and Lee Savino’s wonderful talent, we see that Tabitha brings the two parts of him together and how the characters learn about themselves, each other, relationships and they grow together and realize a bright future. Another book that is a page turner from page one! And wonderful reading pleasure from Renee Rose and Lee Savino! Thank you!

“We dragons love our treasure.”
Wow! This is officially my favorite shifter book ever! I love, love, love Gabriel! He was so deliciously complex. A dragon shifter who’s over 1000 years old and has been sleeping for centuries. He was so arrogant, confident and intelligent and still vulnerable and afraid of loosing the only person he has ever loved. I loved how he seemed to know so much about the current world with computers and business dealings but then was clueless about popular culture. Tabitha is so perfect as his mate. Such a free spirit and so filled with life. I can’t imagine anyone else being a better match. She is so totally unimpressed with everything he tries to give her and do for her. She teaches a materialistic dragon what has true value in life and does it without stripping him of his confidence and everything that makes him who he is. I can’t wait for them to have children. I really want to see Gabriel as a daddy. ❤️🔥
I know Renee and Lee plan more Shifter Ops books, Channing for sure needs to find his mate, and I look forward to seeing that player brought to his knees. I can’t help but think they should have saved Gabriel and Tabitha for last, though. I don’t see how any future book will be as amazing as this one was. It’s pure perfection to me.

I’m torn. Granted this is the 1st dragon shifter story I’ve read, but I’m not a huge fan of capture romance. I know she fights him tooth & nail, I know she is determined to escape from him at her earliest opportunity. I also get the fated mates’ side of the story, but I find it hard to comprehend how you can fall in love in a matter of weeks with someone who controls your freedom. I know it’s only a book, but as I said I’m torn.
If you’re into capture romance you’ll love this book. If you’re going to be captured, Gabriel is the best man/dragon for the job.
The story is well written and includes chapters from Tabitha’s friends POV (from the Alphas Special Forces series). This is one of the things I love about the books Rose & Savino have created. The inclusion of characters we already know & love. I’ll eagerly read anything either author releases. Are they all my cup of tea? No, but that’s ok because despite the journey throughout the book I’m a sucker for a HEA and I know I’m always going to get that.
There were things I definitely enjoyed about this book. The relationship between Tabitha and the dragon was so sweet, you couldn’t help but find a soft spot for him.
The way Gabriel desired Tabitha, his internal thoughts about her let us see that he wasn’t some creepy dude with more money than sense, but a man full of hurt & pain from the past.
I loved the ending – As always, it’s the best bit.
