ARC review: In this slow burn romance, Grady was murdered for trying to do the right thing and leaving his wife, Maisie, to morn his death. With the help of a Vodou priestess, Ms. Josephine, Grady is able to come back with a few minor tweaks, those being that he’s a undead, zombie with the urge and hunger for fresh meat, all while trying to figure out what happen to him. His love for his wife leads him back home, where Maisie freaks out (because of course who wouldn’t) especially after burying your husband six weeks ago. Maisie is supportive and loving considering the circumstances she is under, all while being pregnant. Grady and Maisie piece together his last known memories to work through what happened to him and see where the story leads. I recommend this book if you’re into mystery, vodou magic, murder, and the walking dead . . . while undead with a conscious mind unless he is feeding.

I was sent a copy of Bind My Body to read and review and have not read through the complete Anthology. Bind My Body is a love story with a magical, paranormal, mystery twist and it turns out great. The story of Grady and Maisie is at times heartwarming and heartbreaking. You are invested from the start in these two characters and hope that everything works out for them in the end when it looks like all hope is lost. All in all a solid read with supporting characters that you will either love or hate. I would definitely recommend this story.

I was so lucky to get an arc of Bind My Body. I really enjoyed this story. It was the perfect time of year for this. The characters were great. Grady is a genuinely good guy who just happens to die only to be brought back as a zombie. He went home and together with his wife starts trying to solve his own murder. It was very entertaining to read. I will be recommending this book to my friends and family. It was hard to put down.

I was lucky to receive this as an ARC read for an honest review.
This is a love conquers all including death story. Grady is murdered and with the help of a voodoo priestess, Josephine, is able to come back as a zombie to investigate his murder. Grady’s love for his wife is what calls to Josephine to help bring him back. Grady loves his wife, Maisie, and together they solve his murder mystery. I have not read the entire anthology but do recommend this story.

This book is not my typical cup of coffee. But if you enjoy zombie stories with some mystery and a twist, I bet it’s your cup of tea.
The story is a well written twist on zombies, and I loved Ms. Josephine’s character!

Surprising Stories

Twisty plots and romance, very well crafted. I will definitely be looking up the works of the individual authors. Unusual and creative story lines. A zombie romance!

Got an ARC for Joanna Morgan’s story Bind My Body, included in this anthology.

This was a perfect read to get into Halloween. Voodoo, murder, zombies.. oh my!

I do wish we didn’t see what happened to Grady at the beginning. Obviously true reasoning wasn’t shown, but it would have added even pre mystery if we didn’t know who did it.

An enjoyable read. Nicely written!
