So, I'm not a fan of Edvin Törnblom. At all. Can't stand the guy. However, I got recommended this book today, by a friend who used to feel the same way. So I gave the audiobook a chance.
The result? Well, I wouldn't say I enjoyed the book. BUT - I think it's an important one, and I learned some new things. Edvin manages to cram in a lot of information about a lot of different subjects in a short time. (Homophobia, chemsex, surrogate mothers, LGBTQ+ history, his own childhood, first love, briefing on queer vocabulary, why gay men love pop divas, and so on) And he does it well. I feel it's not a book you're supposed to binge (the way I did), though. Then it becomes a bit of a dry experience. Probably better to read a chapter here and there when you feel like learning a bit about a specific subject.
I'd say what I appreciated most about the book, personally, was that I got a glimpse of what being a gay man in today's Sweden can look like, and also that I got to see a bit of Edvin's serious side.
