All things end. Even the things we wish could last forever.
The last year has changed Mark’s life beyond recognition. In less than twelve months he’s gone from an ordinary teenager to a witch, faced demons and dark magic, fallen in love, and inherited powers far greater than he ever wanted.
Now, everything is changing again.
As the new Grand High Witch, Mark is struggling to control magic that still feels too big and too powerful. Nanna has finally passed on the role she spent a lifetime carrying, but letting go has never been her strong point — and Mark still can’t imagine a world where she isn’t the force holding everyone together.
Meanwhile, life refuses to slow down. College is approaching, friendships are shifting, and Mark’s heart is more complicated than ever. Damian and Robert are both still part of his life, but with feelings growing messier and impossible choices waiting ahead, Mark can no longer avoid the future rushing towards him.
But while Mark is trying desperately to hold his world together, old enemies are preparing to tear it apart.
Edith and the dark witches are coming for him one last time. This time there will be no second chances, no escape routes, and no mercy. They aren’t just coming for Mark.
They’re coming for everyone he loves.
And they do not intend to leave any survivors.
Because growing up means learning how to let go of what you can’t change.
But first, Mark has to survive the end of everything, even if he has to break a few rules along the way. Perfect for fans of LGBTQ+ urban fantasy, witches, demons, first love and emotional coming-of-age stories, All Things End is the unforgettable final book in the bestselling Northern Witch series.
K.S. Marsden is an internationally best-selling author of Fantasy and Urban Fantasy novels, known for creating thrilling adventures filled with magic, witches, monsters, and unforgettable characters. Based in Yorkshire, UK, she has made it a personal mission to ensure her stories either take place in Yorkshire or feature Yorkshire characters, bringing a distinct sense of place and personality to her books.
She is the best-selling author of *The Northern Witch Series*, an LGBTQ coming-of-age Urban Fantasy series following Mark, a teenager whose life becomes far more complicated than he ever expected. Mark was always written as a gay character from the very beginning, and rather than focusing on a coming-out story, K.S. wanted to explore what comes next: a character already comfortable in who he is, thrown into a wildly entertaining world of witches, danger, friendship, and adventure.
Her debut *Witch-Hunter Series* remains especially close to her heart. Fascinated by witches from a young age, K.S. naturally found herself writing about them. Alongside fast-paced action and magical battles, the series explores ideas of heroism and morality, questioning whether the so-called "good guys" are truly good. After all, from the Shadow Witch’s point of view, Hunter and his colleagues might look like the villains.
K.S.'s *Lost Soul Series* is a love letter to the fantasy stories that shaped her childhood, particularly *The Chronicles of Narnia*. She wanted to create a world where a person’s beginnings do not define their future — while also making room for evil unicorns, good monsters, and a fantasy world much larger and more complicated than the human characters first realise.
Outside of writing, horses have always been her other great passion. She spent much of her twenties working with horses across the UK and Ireland, and now lives back in her hometown of Doncaster with her horse, Mouse, and her very spoilt spaniel, Bailey.
I have absolutely enjoyed reading this very magical and witchy series and apparently this book brings us to an ending though with the surprise at the end of the book I think we might see more books in the future following the same characters. Well, I hope so, as I sure am going to miss our now grand witch who took over from his ailing grandmother, Mark. He who is striving to be as good as she had been, and to look after his coven members when dangers threaten. Mark also struggles to maintain his relationship with his boyfriend after he kisses the demon, Robert residing in his boyfriend’s body. I enjoyed the tension in the book as the sleep epidemic took over the community even going as far as effecting some of the coven members forcing Mark to take drastic measures such as resorting to ask from help from the imprisoned siren in order to save his best friend’s life. This book gives us a great ending however as I said the surprise at the end gives us hope for a future series! I love that our main character is gay too, well done Ms. Marsden for this!
WOW, I cannot believe the Northern Witch Series is over. I have enjoyed each and every story. Great characters some you love and several you just love to hate. #NannaIsAwesome she is my favourite. The Grand High Witch.
The books really need to be read in order if you try to read them as standalone books they are unlikely to make sense. The stories focus on family and close friendships there is so much love flowing that bonds are strengthened.
The stories show diversity featuring LBGTQ characters but the storylines are tastefully written for young adults and there is nothing more than hand holding and kissing. Readers are able to use their imagination to think on how the story may progress now the series has ended.
Very Highly Recommended and Book 1 is FREE to download. Check it out #Book Lovers 🌹📚📖
Books in a series are often repetitive. Have read this series from the beginning. Some changes were a surprise, but overall is an enjoyable series. (I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.)
The title says it all...All things end. Still, I am sorry to see this series come to an end, as I have enjoyed following along with Mark on his adventures and through his growing pains. This is a fitting end to a fantastic series, as Mark steps up to help his Nanna and their coven fight the Dark Witch. Mark's personal story comes to a conclusion of sorts, as well, and a love well-earned.

Thank you to the publisher and BookSirens for providing me with a copy of this novel for an honest review. It has been published in December 2023.
"All Things End" by KS Marsden was a bit underwhelming, especially compared with the previous installments in the series. The first half of the book consists mostly of filler scenes, and the plot has no drive at all until it hits the 45% mark. The second half of the book does flow much better and it's got some good plot twists. It would have made for an excellent story if it had skipped the boring bits and cut straight to the chase!

ALL THINGS END is the final book in the Northern Witch saga about Mark, a young witch, and his friends. While I feel that the conclusion was satisfying, I am sad to tell this group of young folks goodbye. They really grew on me and became like my neighbors.
The reason I rated the book so low was the editing. It looks like the book was gone over by spell check but not an editor as there were incorrect and missing words in more than a couple locations. This managed to pull me out of the story as my brain tried to fix the error.
All in all, I do recommend the book to people that have been following this series. Everything is wrapped up nicely while leaving the possibility of seeing more of these characters in the future.

All Things End by K.S. Marsden - 5/5 Stars I received an advanced review copy from BookSirens for free and am leaving this review independently.
I've eaten up this whole series and this was no exception. In this book, we get to see Mark come into his own. He gets to finally grow into the role he's been preparing for for most of the series.
If there's one thing I didn't like about this book, it's that the ending seemed a bit rushed. There were many more plot points in this book than others in the series, and the pacing was consistent until about 3/4 through, then seemed to be a bit compressed. That said, I still loved this book.
This book seemed more of a conclusion to the series but was still open-ended. If the series continues, I look forward to seeing where it goes.
The story continues from ‘A Dark Fate’ and we find Mark in his new role as Grand High Witch trying to quickly master the powerful magic he’s just acquired from his Nanna. Hard to believe it’s been barely a year since he first embarked on his witchy studies. And now, he’s facing the ultimate test of his leadership – one with calamitous consequences to his coven and his loved ones if he’s not prepared.
This teen/young adult, urban fantasy is well written with appealing characters, humour, teenage angst, magic, action & adventure, and some danger & conflict along with occasional MM kissing.
