2 nd book in this series by Mika, another R/H, 3 professors one female student.
All consensual, all for her, no crossed swords .
And it’s tasteful in its writing.
The characters from the first book appear in this to, so it probably best to read in order, the ladies are best friends and there is a slim backstory that runs throughout.

Ms. Mika is back with another awesome steam RH book. Jessa has a lot on her plate in this book and with all the drama and steam with her guys, this book was really hard to put down. This book is only #2 but I can’t wait for #3 and more! I would recommend this book and Ms. Mika as a must-read author.

The Pursuit of Art . . .

Jessa Carr wants to pursue becoming an artist. But her mother was not behind that idea at all. So she goes to Professor Griff Ledger for some advice on how to get started through entering the Spring Show to display her work.

The most important thing, besides her talent, is that she needs a sponsor or her art will not be recognized. But with her parents threatening to cut off support for her schooling if she continues with art, she needs to get noticed as being a serious artist, not just pursuing a hobby.

Griff’s suggestions didn’t work for her, like offering to tutor or perform time-consuming things to be noticed. So he told her about modeling for Professor Indy Dawson’s art class. She would even get paid. And he would also put in a nomination for her so she would have a chance. Her talent would have to win it for her, but he would get her into the show. Will she paint something worthy to submit as her entry? Will her professors give her an enhanced experience she will never forget?

This is the second book in the Study Harder series and it was just as fun to read as the first. Jessa has quite a bit going on at school, starting with her parents not liking the major she has chosen and are threatening to stop paying her tuition. They are also pressuring her to find a husband. To buy time she makes a deal with another student to pose as her boyfriend to meet her parents so they don't stop paying her tuition and to give her time to enter an art competition to win a scholarship. Unfortunately this adds to her ongoing drama. Throw in three sexy professors that all want her and this becomes a story that you don't want to put down until the end!

Jessa's story was so hot! She was so authentic in every aspect. It was great to read a book where the fmc wasn't a pushover 90% of the time. That's just one of the things I love about Mika Lane's books. And whew, these guys are 🔥🔥. Griff, Indy, and Mason immediately went for what they wanted, Jessa, and spent almost no time doubting their feelings. I can't wait for the next book in this sizzling series!

I loved it!

This book is amazing! The story of Jessa, Griff, Indy and Mason is filled with love, art, and a bit of treachery and is a definite must read. Jessa is trying to secure a scholarship to continue with her fine arts degree as her parents no longer wish to support her. She will try a fake boyfriend to help appease her mother but it will backfire when he wants more. She will deal with his harassment along with a growing attraction to all three men. Their passion grows but there is a bit of a bump in the road when her parents find out but they will push through it and come out stronger on the other side.

I thought this was another great read from Mika Lane. I love her reverse harems books and adding in that Jessa is a student and Griff, Indy and Mason are professors. I loved that there was just enough going on with Jessa to keep me wanting to find out what happens next. Of course there was also such great chemistry between Jessa and the men that made it all the more interesting. I loved reading their story and look forward to more in the series.

Mika Lane has done it again with the awesome second book of her series. OMG this book is HAF. Jessa is Bridie's dorm roommate and friend. Jessa is an art major, her parents are trying to intimidate her into a different major. Well they underestimate her determination to get an art scholarship, so she won't need her parents. A long the way she hooks up with not 1 but 3 professors. That's when the s**t hits the fan. Don't worry everything works out in the end for these four. Now time for the final book in this series. I can't wait.

Book Two in the Study Harder series by Mika Lane; A Wicked Education is a reverse harem, spicy romance that is sure to bring the heat. While this is book two, each book can be read as a standalone and doesn’t require previous info from the last book.


All in the pursuit of art, Jessa is willing to do just about anything to become an artist. So what does a young college student do? She goes to a professor for advice. This sends her down a rabbithole of her own making, but it also changes her life for the better. Poor Jessa is a hot mess of drama, her parents trying to set her up to get married, not allowing her to go after her passions, not to mention the guy she just made a deal with to pretend to be her boyfriend just to get her parents off her back. Throw in a couple of older hot professors and it's a full on soap-opera.

One thing to know about this author is that she can pack so much drama, spice and feeling into a short amount of time. Once I started reading it was hard to stop, the story is flirty and dramatic with just the right amount of spice to keep the reader going. My only complaint is that I wish there was more. A happy 3.5 from this reader.

A Wicked Education is the second book in the Study Hard series. This white hot and incinerate your panties RH story is about Jessa, a fine arts student, and her professors Griff, Indy and Mason. Jessa's parents stop paying for her college, as they don't like the fact that she is doing a fine arts degree and pursuing painting, as they want her to get married. Jessa comes up with a plan to fake a boyfriend but things don't quite go as planned with him. So instead she enters a painting in an art show competition with hopes of winning and then being able to continue. Lucky for her Griff, Indy and Mason all want to see her stay in school, and in their beds once they finally get her there. Jessa may be painted into a corner but she is about to find a whole new experience with these three older men.

Jessa is an art student and needs to be in the Spring art show in order to try and win scholarship for her education. Griff, Indy and Mason are all professors at the university and roommates.

There is definitely chemistry between Jessa and all three guys and obviously all the guys have a great connection with each other, too. I loved seeing their relationship progress throughout the story and how everyone really brings something different to the group. These guys quickly fall for Jessa and will do pretty much anything for her.

It was fun to get to little glimpses of Birdie and little tidbits about her relationship and I’m looking forward to seeing what is in story with Roxy.

If you’re looking for a student/teacher, reverse harem, age gap romance check this one out.

Jessa returns from spring break and ends up discovering her overbearing parents refuse to continue paying for her classes. They do not want her to be a art major they want her to marry well. She decides to play up a fake boyfriend which of course turns up all wrong. Jessa enters one of her paintings in a contest to try and find a way to afford school. Three of her professors Griff,  Mason and Indy all try to help her out. Afterall they do not want herto leave school nevermind all of their beds once they finally get her there. The biggest challenge will be keeping everything under wraps enough to get through

I thought this was such a fun romance. I just loved Jessa as she is bold, fearless (mostly) and goes for what she wants. The chemistry between her and the three professors is sizzling, and I can't help but giggle at how wrapped around her pinky they are. It was so nice to see Birdie again, and can't wait to read Roxy's story. Thought part of a series, it can be a standalone as you don't need to really know what happens in the first book.

If you’ve read A Naughty Lesson (the first book in this series), you’ll already be somewhat familiar with Jessa, Birdie’s roommate.

Jessa is portrayed as a confident, hardcore and voluptuous undergrad art student whose conservative parents aren’t exactly supportive of her academic choices and would much rather see her focus on finding a husband.

As we learn, however, Jessa is talented and genuinely believes she can make it as an artist... and so do her three men. Her parents’ archaic expectations are completely at odds with her personality and life goals. Yet, since she still relies on their financial support and they don’t seem to care much about her actual plans, Jessa decides to introduce them to a fake boyfriend in an attempt to buy herself some time and become less dependent on them. To some extent, it works so well that it ends up backfiring and causing quite a mess.

The way her parents behave (first, showing more interest in seeing Jessa married rather than happy, and then acting so inappropriately towards their daughter) honestly broke my heart. Even if I understand they believe they’re trying to secure her future, they mostly come across as shallow people who care more about appearances and showing off their wealth. And when the second “incident” happens, I completely lost whatever little respect I still had for them.

Beyond the parents situation, another issue I had with this book (and with A Naughty Lesson, and one that will likely come up again in the next instalment) is the romantic relationship between a student and several of her professors, which inevitably raises questions around power imbalances. We do see that Jessa is talented, exercises her free will, and that the guys are mindful about being fair and not favouring her academically because of their relationship outside college. Still, it made me feel somewhat uneasy at times.

Now, the fun part. The bond between Jessa and the professors, who also happen to be three of the sexiest professors on campus, forms and evolves in a surprisingly natural way. Two of them (Griff and Indy) are art professors who go back to their own college days and are also roommates. The third (Mason) is a communications professor who happens to be Griff’s tenant, so to speak. They’re already friends, get along well, and that dynamic plays an important role in making their transition into a foursome feel organic and effortless.

The interactions between Jessa and each of the guys individually, which we see first, are full of chemistry, steamy tension and incredibly sexy moments. When they’re all together, everything gets amplified and, as a good why choose/RH book should, she’s their goddess and they truly worship her.

That said, the story felt a bit on the short side. I wish we’d seen more emotional progression. The moment when “I love you” is said for the first time comes a bit too soon and, even though the feelings are genuine, it all felt rushed. This is probably due to the limited focus on group dynamics and emotional depth, as a lot of space is taken up by the unfolding drama involving Jessa’s parents and the student she enlists as her fake boyfriend.

I really enjoyed the sense of continuity, with Birdie being present in the story and giving us some indulgent glimpses into her own relationship. Roxy is also there every step of the way, and I can’t wait to read her story.

Given that I read this book very close to From Jerk to Perk, I couldn’t help but notice some similarities between Jessa and Amalia. Both are feisty, confident, dress alternatively and rock combat boots, which is definitely not a complaint.

Hot art

This story is an interesting University set romance. I really like Mike Lane's books and this is a good story too, but it sorta seems like the series books are just very similar. I always really like the first book. I liked the art idea but I think it may have been more fun if the visiting instructor had actually been a sculptor and he had used her as his muse. Maybe a future series there. This is a good story.

This RH story is packed with steamy heat as we learn about Jessa and her three professors. I found it easy to become engaged in this one as Jessa dealt with her controlling parents' dislike of her college choices and the fact that she is still single. Jessa knows what she wants but if she pursues her own desires it will destroy her relationship with her parents.

Good steamy, but predictable romance
It's a definitely steamy story, but at the same time simple in this reverse harem tale: Jessa begins her studies, but she finds herself at a crossroads in her life between another student who tries to manipulate her and three teachers for whom she succumbs.

Overall I enjoyed this. I wish it had been a little longer, but it was a good, quick read.

My one problem was that the relationships felt a little transactional in the beginning. I know it got cleared up, but Jessa sleeping with each of the guys when she was upset/needed something left a weird taste in my mouth.

The characters in this story were so well matched and that made the book enjoyable to read. Their level of commitment to her was beautifully crafted and made me fall for them as well among other things of course. Another fun read with a beautiful love story at the heart of it all.
