An informative book about turtles for children with beautiful pictures and a sense of kid appropriate humor, fun facts, jokes and turtle inspired mottos. This retired educator and grandma enjoyed reading about information from the oldest turtle on earth - Grandpa Jonathan, since I am using this book with my granddaughters for Summer Cousin Camp and my son's name is Jonathan. (Ironic for sure.) Then Captain Leatherback tells us where turtles live. As Bill Copeland states: Try to be like a turtle, at ease in your own shell. Well done Animal Reads.
