The Comaters

Rate this book
One day, suddenly, a strange fugue-like state hits urban commuters. They go to sleep on tube trains, buses and trams. Only to stay so. No explanation is brokered. A trickle of cases becomes a gush. Causing media-induced panic and saturation overload. What starts as an amusing news item becomes a living hell as social norms break down. It's a mystery that seemingly has no end. Bodies stack up and systems hit breaking point. But what's happened is only a prelude to something much darker and much worse. Because after it looks like it's all over. One of them wakes up...

I'm a Welsh Writer (my ethnicity, identity, nationality etc...). I'd say this informs my writing somewhat.

I'm a full-time writer. In that I am a Direct Response Marketer-Copywriter and Information Products Entrepreneur (including Marketing, licensing, creating, selling 'how to' products, as well as Presenting Seminars, Workshops and Private Trainings).

I started writing fiction, when I wrote a few short stories in my early teens - About ninjas and ronins in medieval Japan.

But I didn't really start writing properly until I cranked out 100's of lyrics and 1000's of poems (some of which are pretty good and most of which are godawful) in my later teens.

I'd 'poetry'ed out' by the early 1990's and moved on to writing scenes for movies - and then later feature film scripts in the early to mid 1990's - after attending various film courses and schools.

I wrote short film scripts (40 plus) and feature films scripts (10) on spec from 1995 til 2001 (whilst working in the film and new media industries) - I finally got paid to write a feature film script in October 2001...And a few more.

Whilst I love writing movie scripts and continue to do so today (17 Feature Film Scripts and counting), I wanted to get better at writing more indepth 'drama' etc.

There are naturally things you can do with novels that you can't do with movie scripts - Or that are difficult to do with Feature Film Scripts etc (and vice versa).

I'd written about 20 or so short stories. And started releasing factual 'how to' products including ebooks, special reports etc when it first became much easier to publish ebooks etc on sites like Lulu, Amazon etc.

I started writing my first novel in 2013. Looking to explore writing more indepth characters and teach myself how to create a novel.

Whilst working as a direct response marketer-copywriter I cranked out a couple of drafts of my first novel - an emotive crime story set in the (south) Wales Valleys.
