She was gorgeous…and infuriating. And he couldn’t stop thinking about her. Jeremy was used to taking care of people. His brothers, his sister, his mom. Hell, he’d been the “man” of his family for so long that the need to care of others was burned onto his soul. But Teresa didn’t want to be taken care of, and worse, she didn’t need it. Until…she did. Until she needed him. Jer knew that his chance with her wasn’t going to come more than once, so he had to be smart. She needed to fall for him. Irrevocably. Because he couldn’t end up a bad rebound.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(3.5) Trope: friends to lovers Angst: 😱😱😱😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥
Let me say up front, I normally love Elise Faber, but this book was just not for me. Actually, specifically, this heroine was just not for me. I found her behavior to be too outrageous to be tolerated by the hero even given her justification. If a hero had acted like that, I would have been looking for a good grovel and not an "I'm really sorry" with a pass 🤷🏻♀️. With that being said, it had all the other components of Elise Faber novels that I love. It jumped right into the story, moved quickly, and had a hero that was all in from day one ❤️. Absolutely loved him and how protective, thoughtful, and giving he was. I'll definitely be reading the next book, this one was just not for me.
Bad Rebound is the first book in the Billionaire's Club: Bad Brothers series by Elise Faber and is a standalone. It is told in 3rd person, from alternating perspectives.
It's been a minute since my last (good) ugly cry and Jeremy made me cry and when I say cry, I mean I CRIED hard.
Do people really not understand how much it can hurt a person when all they do is give and then to have that get thrown into their faces? I get Teresa had her share of struggles, but Jeremy deserved better. And then it got better but only for her too, almost ruining everything. I can understand her frustration, but she just rubbed me the wrong way from start to finish.
In my opinion the only reason this book was a great read was Jeremy. If I could be a fictional character, she would be fighting for her life to keep him. I can tell you that much. I'm a bit dramatic but I really loved him, and I was happy when she messed up, she knew it and regretted it right away. And then she came back ready to do whatever it takes to get him back, so that makes her an OK heroine, but I still have issues with her. #sorrynotsorry
BAD REBOUND is the first book in the Billionaire's Club: Bad Brothers series. We met Theresa in Bad Best Friend and it is now time for her own story. Rafe and Cora are on hand to help and to provide insight into how Theresa works. This is a good thing because Jeremy doesn't actually know her that well, even after all this time. He likes what he sees, but he doesn't see the whole picture; choosing to be blind to the things he doesn't want to acknowledge.
Jeremy is the perfect flawed hero. He will do anything for anyone and thinks 100% he is doing the right thing, showing them how much he cares. He is also human and makes mistakes. Sometimes those mistakes are smothering the person he is trying to care for. Luckily for him, he had Theresa, his mum, and Melody to set him straight and make him take a good long look at himself. What makes him even better is he acknowledges how he went wrong and tries to correct himself.
Theresa - now here's a heroine that is harder to like. I get her back story, I do, but I was so glad when her mum shot her down. She never asked if it was the life her mum wanted, she just assumed, and we all know how that works out. To me, she was so condescending about anyone's dreams if they differed from her own. Her behaviour, although explained, left a lot to be desired in places. I still liked her though. I just thought she needed knocking down a peg or two as she was so quick to point out Jeremy's faults without looking at her own.
I loved this book and can't wait for the series to continue. I need Melody and Asher's story!!! I know it's going to tear me apart before it gets to the HEA and that's absolutely fine by me! A great start to a new series and definitely recommended by me. ** same worded review will appear elsewhere **

An excellent start to the new series, Bad Rebound begins the Bad Brothers series, a spin-off of the Billionaire’s club featuring the Hutchins brothers (and maybe some other brothers we’ve seen before, *fingers crossed*). Following up Cora Hutchins’ story in Bad Best Friend, Bad Rebound stars Cora’s oldest brother Jeremy, and the his close friend/unrequited love Teresa. Bad Rebound opens with the end of Teresa’s long-term relationship and Jeremy taking a chance on getting what he’s always wanted with Teresa: to claim her as his own, possibly forever if she’s amenable. Only to find himself almost immediately at odds with a woman he’s been on good terms with for a great long while, because she doesn’t think they’re compatible as more than friends. His brand of protectiveness involves taking control, whether those he’s trying to care for likes it or not, and Teresa has enough men trying to control her life already. But Jeremy is bound and determined to convince Teresa that they would be a good match, even if her refusal sends him reeling and reevaluating everything he knows about himself and everything he’s done in his life since losing his Father. And when Jeremy starts trying to rein in his protective instincts, Teresa finds herself wondering about how well she knows herself, because she misses Jeremy’s brand of caring, though she doesn’t regret making it known that she can make her own decisions and take care of herself. Watching Teresa and Jeremy reckon with who they are and what they want as they grow together from friends into more makes for the kind of read that’s hard to put down. And though I was rooting for them to resolve their differences all along, there’s more than a moment when that conclusion seems less than certain. The Billionaire’s Club series was never a bad read, no matter the installment, and I don’t anticipate the Bad Brothers being any different. I’m looking forward to more of the Hutchins brothers (and hopefully Teresa’s brothers as well) in the future, and specifically to Bad Romance, which is coming up next in the series, featuring Asher and Melody. They’re story promises to be more angsty and complicated than Jeremy and Teresa’s, but I’ve no doubt it’ll be every bit as compelling a read as Bad Rebound was!
"Bad Rebound" by Elise Faber is the first book of the Billionaire's Club: Bad Brothers series. It's a spinoff of the Billionaire's Club series and features cameos from a few familiar characters, but reads as a standalone.
Jeremy Hutchins has had feelings for his best friend Rafe's right-hand employee, Teresa, ever since they met, but until now, she's always had a boyfriend. Now that she's finally single, he decides to make his move, but she's not exactly receptive when he kisses her. Jeremy's the kind of man who can't help wanting to care for and protect the people he loves, and for Teresa, the way he does that sometimes comes across as smothering. Even though she's secretly attracted to him as well, she doesn't believe a relationship between them could ever work, so she pushes him away. Forced to take a hard look at his own behavior in the wake of Teresa's rejection, Jeremy realizes that some changes are in order, but will they be enough to convince her to reconsider?
There were quite a few ups and downs with this story, but for the most part, I enjoyed it. I particularly liked Jeremy and his efforts to learn a new pattern of behavior that wouldn't come across as overbearing to his family and friends, but unfortunately I found Teresa to be a bit annoying at times. She wasn't very good at compromising or articulating what she wanted/needed from others; it's like she thought they should already know without her telling them. I had to laugh at her competitiveness during game nights, however, as well as some of the things she did to try and help Jeremy find a new job that he'd actually enjoy, such as the career aptitude test.
Overall, I would recommend "Bad Rebound" for all contemporary romance fans. I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series featuring Jeremy's brother Asher and friend Melody, though based on the events of this book, I suspect it will be an emotional roller coaster!

This is Bad rebound billionaires club bad brothers book 1 . This series in series of Billionaires club has some ppl from the other books in it. It pretty much picks up where Bad best friend left off. Jeramy is over bearing brother who likes to control or help his sister Cora and other loved ones it’s been his role since his father died. He has been wanting Teresa for a long time and she just told him she’s single so he takes his shot. Goes for it and gets shot down. Teresa is trying to get over her breakup and figure out her new business venture. Jeramy is an alpha who takes control. She doesn’t want to have that even if she finds him attractive. So when he kisses her she shoots him down. And when he pushes it she says hurtful things and throws wine in his face. This causes him to second guess himself and find that he has out his life on hold. Mean while she realize that he might actually like her for more and get jealous of possible relationship he isn’t in. These two have great chemistry and horrible communication skills . For two smart people they seem to lack the ability to talk to people and listen. She expects people to know what she wants and is upset yet never actually talks or tells them what she wants. Then is upset when they feel, like that she’s doesn’t want to be part of them. I get she has reason but she is always thinking the worst and ver judgmental then angry they don’t understand her. Which she realizes near the end. He is also one who doesn’t talk or listen when being talked to about people wants. But he is trying to change. This book is written well has lot of funny parts and very seriously part that happens to friend will be in next book in series. This book does have a HEA . I did enjoy the story.
3.5 Stars rounded to 4 Stars Bad Rebound is the first book in the Billionaire’s Club: Bad Brothers. We met the main characters in the Bad Best Friend book and get to revisit the characters from it. Teresa was tired of her overbearing family and friends trying to take care of her and feels like her family have put her on a pedestal. She wants to start her own business without the help of her friends and family but feels like she isn’t getting any support from her family. As for Jeremy, he is just another person who continues to take over and do everything for her. Jeremy has loved Teresa for years, but she has been in a relationship with someone else. When she announces her relationship is over, he sees his chance. He couldn’t understand why Teresa turns him down or why the women in his life are so frustrated with him when all he wants to do is help them. Teresa’s character was not pleasant and yes, I understand wanting to be independent. I hated how she went off on Jeremy without really explaining it to him. Jeremy seemed like a great guy but never took care of himself. He was so busy helping others that he didn’t know what he wanted from life. I am a huge fan of Elise Faber, but this book didn’t work for me. Teresa was harsh and Jeremy’s transformation was too much. It felt like the book dragged and it became too mushy and fake for me once the main characters did get together. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
4.5 Stars for Bad Rebound ( Billionaire’s Club: Bad Brothers #1) This is the first book in the series from Elise Faber and if Jeremy and Theresa’s story is anything to go by she will certainly have another hit series on her hands. I fell hard and fast for Jeremy and I was drawn in from the moment I picked this book up and I didn’t put it down until I had read the last word. Bad Rebound is an entertaining friends to lovers journey that will appeal to all romance lovers. Theresa has spent the last five tears with Sam but now it’s over and she needs to put her life back together but it’s going to take a lot for her to trust another man and she certainly does not need her friend Jeremy going all over protective with her. Jeremy us a caregiver who will always put others before himself but he needs to turn it back a notch with Theresa, he needs to give the friend he has loved for so long space so will he be patient or will his over protectiveness ruin their future before it can even begin….one click to find out. This book ticked my boxes, it has all the feels and it has a swoon worthy hero who st9le my heart. Theresa was a bit harder to like but as their story unfolded I found myself hoping and wishing g this couple got the HEA they both so deserved. This is a roller coaster of emotions and there are plenty of ups and downs, twists and turns but that only added depth to this great read.
Bad Rebound is the first book in the Billionaire’s Club spin off, the Bad Brothers. Jeremy has loved Teresa for years, and now that she’s finally single, he wants to take the chance on love with her. There’s just one problem - Teresa wants nothing to do with his kind of alpha love. Can they look inside themselves to reach for what their heart desires, or will they just push the other away?
I thought this book was good! Teresa and Jeremy had a dynamite connection that refused to quit, no matter how scared they got or the hard truths they threw at each other. Teresa felt absolutely smothered by her family, never feeling seen or understood by those who should love her the most, so she was scared to be vulnerable with her heart and dreams to someone else. Jeremy had all of the love and support for others, but was never one to consider what his own dreams were. I loved his selflessness, especially when it came to those he loved, but I loved it even more when he started to see what would truly make him happy. I loved them together. They had a lot of ups and downs, a lot of hurdles to tackle before they could find their happily ever after. But their connection was strong, steamy, and eventually supportive. It was fun seeing some familiar faces, but there were some scenes that were just tough to read, both between the main characters and with some of their friends. I enjoyed reading this book, and I’m so excited to read the next one!
Poor Teresa. She has had tough time her whole life. She almost died when she was younger, and now everyone won't stop trying to protect her. When she sees Jeremy staring at her over and over again at one of their weekly game nights, something clicks between them. Jeremy kisses her like she's never been kissed before. It's the way he says he wants to take care of her that drives her away.
Poor Jeremy. He's the oldest member of his family. The one who had to take care of his brothers and sister after his dad died. He's the protector. It's what he's done his whole life. That means he has a shitty job, no romantic prospects, and a lonely life. It's just that he loves Teresa. For the past three years, he's loved her. She doesn't want a protector. She wants someone who loves her and lets her be herself.
I love the angst and romance these two have. When they had a disagreement, they finally talked it out. Jeremy is a changed man because of Teresa. Seeing them get together was exciting and very romantic.
This story gives you a glimpse into the next chapter of the Bad Brother's. Asher's (Jeremy's younger brother) story seems to show a sad story with Mel. And I can't wait to read it next. Reading Elise Faber's stories always make you happy afterwards!
Jeremy and Teresa - a rollercoaster of emotions! Both are strong individuals…but both have their own share of baggage.
Teresa recently broke up with her long-time boyfriend and is questioning so much about her past relationship and her relationship with her family.
Jeremy, oldest child in his large family, has been taking care of his siblings and mother after his dad died…but doing the same to those around him, whether they needed him to solve their problems or not.
And with Teresa on an emotional road of discovering herself, the last thing she needs is Jeremy stepping in to “fix” her. In fact, it’s the last thing she wants. And she tells him so.
And here’s where the story really deepens. Jeremy has heard this general comment from three different people in his life and actually considers that they may be right. Instead of becoming angry about it, he does some self-reflection.
Can Jeremy change his outlook - his tendency to “fix” everyone else’s problems? Can Teresa sort out her feelings about her failed past relationships - not just with her ex-boyfriend but with her family?
Both Jeremy and Teresa must look at themselves and decide how they will move forward before they can do so together. Their heartwarming story will keep you thoroughly entertained!
This book resonated so deeply for me. I could relate to Jeremy so well... putting everyone first and not thinking about himself for the longest time. I absolutely loved how much he loved his family and wanted to take care of them. But I also understand how people can feel smothered. Now don't get me wrong, I also love a strong female but sometimes I think people take it to far and don't realize that sometimes it's just consideration. I liked getting to know Teresa. But she wasn't my favorite female in this story... Melody was.
Teresa was strong, independent, and driven. She also had deep rooted insecurities and because of those she almost ruined everything. Jeremy was on a path of self discovery. He may have been over protective by fault but he needed to be knocked off kilter. He needed to be able to find himself. In that I so saw his dream job before he did.
I liked getting to know Cora's big brother better. I loved seeing him falter and pick himself back up. I really enjoyed this HEA and am looking forward to Melody getting her HEA also.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review*
I'm really liking this new book boyfriend for a new series Jeremy is the perfect book boyfriend he hits all the feels is he a little overbearing with his need to take care of others yes but his heart is in the best place ever since his father's death. Jeremy is the oldest and his dad taught him to protect those he cares for and the one women he's been in love with for the last 3 years has been completely out of reach but then it all changes with a break-up and a kiss.
Teresa is strong opinionated and dosent want anyone to take care of her after year's under her patents smothering do to her health she flew the coop as soon as possible didn't look back till her mom needed her and years in a relationship were she couldn't fully commit because it wasn't working so Jeremy is crazy if he thinks she'll let him run her life or be the right one there complete opposits they cant possible work. This is a slow burn romance with allot of emotion and one very traumatic moment for this family of friends and I cant wait to read about Mel and Asher.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Jeremy has been in love with Teresa for years, but she was with someone else. Now that she isn’t, he takes his chance and believes he got shot down. Teresa thought she loved her ex, but when Jeremy kisses her, she isn’t so sure anymore. They had smoking chemistry, but she kept pushing him away. He was the ultimate alpha, until Teresa, his mom and a friend all point out that he isn’t treating any of them like adults. I liked seeing the growth of both characters. He needed to see that he didn’t have to do EVERYTHING for those he loved and she needed to realize that not everyone has the same dream. Watching them fall, try to deny it, and come together was nice. The friend who had something tragic happen is a wonderful charming already, so I am sure her story will be fantastic. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.
Billionaire’s Club: Bad Brother’s series is a spin-off of the original Billionaire’s Club series and features a few familiar characters, but reads as a standalone. Bad Rebound, book one follows Cora’s best friend Teresa as well as Cora’s older brother Jeremy Hutchins. Jeremy has had a crush on Teresa ever since she started working for his best friend Rafe, but she’s always had a boyfriend. When Jeremy discovers that Teresa is single, he makes his move only for things to backfire when she doesn't exactly give in to Jeremy. Teresa has had a crush on Jeremy for awhile, but she also considers him to be a bit smothering at times which is why, when Jeremy kissed her, she pushed him away, with some not so nice words. Now Jeremy is left taking a hard look at his behavior and wondering if Teresa was right all along. Can Jeremy change the way he behaves towards Teresa? And will Teresa realize that, even with his bossy ways, Jeremy was the one for her all along?
Jeremy has always believed that it was his responsibility to ensure that he was there for every to help out everyone he cares about, and his needs have always come second. He has had feelings for Teresa for a few years however her independent side is at odds with his need to protect.
Teresa’s family has sheltered her for her entire life and as she pursues her dreams, she knows what she doesn’t want when it comes to a relationship. She believes that what she and Jeremy want for the future are too different, but he is about to show her how wrong she truly is.
Teresa was focused on her goals but learning about her past gives us a greater understanding of her feelings and actions and Jeremy was swoony as he pursued the woman who owned his heart. After the events that happened in this story I can’t wait for Asher’s story.
This is a fun story about growth, introspection and communication! Jeremy is a typical alpha male who takes charge and takes over any time he thinks he can 'swoop in' and rescue any woman around. Teresa comes from a family where her dad and brothers insist on doing everything for, making decisions for, and fighting battles for both her and her mother, and Teresa hates it. She wants to prove that she is a strong, competent woman so when her friend Jeremy kisses her and tells her he wants her, all she sees is another man wanting to take control! I loved Jeremy from the start of this book, he was kind with a big heart, but Teresa did come across as a little selfish at times, with not a lot of give and take. Thankfully, this slow burn gets its happy ever after and I'm excited for the next in the series.
Absolutely loved Jeremy and Theresa. The Billionaires Club series has been incredible and this new spin off is going to be amazing if book 1 is any indication.
Jeremy, the care giver, the one who puts everyone's needs and care before his own, has loved one woman for years. Theresa had been in a relationship with Sam for five years and now that it is over, Jeremy is taking his shot. However, she can't handle his overprotectiveness, heck she has older brothers for that. As Jeremy learns to not be so overbearing, Theresa needs to learn to let people help. The roller coaster for these two has lots of ups and downs but in the end can they both drop the walls and be what each other needs?
We also get a glimpse of Asher and Melody's story and this one is gonna be epic
I absolutely loved Jeremy and Theresa’s story! The Billionaire’s Club is a fantastic series! If Bad Rebound is what we can expect, then the spinoff series The Billionaire’s Club: Bad Brothers it’s going to be fantastic too! Jeremy has loved Theresa for years, but she had a boyfriend. When her relationship was over, he thought that it was his chance. Theresa is an independent woman that wants to make it on her own. Jeremy was used to taking care of those he loved. It was a roller coaster ride for them trying to figure out their relationship. They both had some work to do on their selves. Will they open up to each other and be able to make it work? I loved Bad Rebound! I look forward to the next book in The Billionaire’s Club: Bad Brothers series!
Jeremy was always taught that he needed to take care of his family. As the oldest, it was drilled into him that he needed to take care of his mom and siblings. Which is exactly what Teresa *doesn't* want. Fiercely independent, Teresa wants to make something of herself on her own merit. So, when Jeremy reveals his feelings, she shuts him down hard. Now, he's reevaluating everything he's ever known - his tendency to take over in the name of taking care of loved ones.
Bad Rebound set's the stage for the Bad Brothers spin of series from Bad Billionaires, and I can't wait to go along for the ride. I love Jeremy and Teresa as a couple. They were both willing to put in the effort to build their relationship. And of course - the sparks were off the charts.
There was a lot of growing as a person in this book for the hero and heroine. I loved Jeremy before he started working on himself and after, he seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I had a love/hate relationship with Teresa, I thought she was a little selfish and cruel sometimes. They both came around to be better people with and for each other. This was a little bit of a slow burn romance and was more about their journey apart and finally together. I would like to see more of this couple in the series, I am already wanting the next from the sneak peak at the end of this book. Good read, but not my favorite in the series, will still get the next!
Teresa has older brothers and overbearing parents, they treat her like glass. She wants to be an independent woman. She wants to set up her own company but doesn't want family or friends lending her the money. Jeremy has had feelings for Teresa for years, but she was with Sam. Now he thinks he has a chance, but, he's been looking after his mother and siblings for years, and tries to do everything for them. He does it through love but doesn't understand that sometimes people want to do it themselves. Teresa doesn't want Jeremy to do things for her, she wants him to support her. Can Jeremy learn to back off? Will Teresa start to accept help?
This is the first in a new series, and this is Jeremy and Teresa’s story. Jeremy is caring and protective and has a huge heart, and he is used to taking care of his family and putting their needs before himself. Teresa is fiercely independent and does not want to be taken care off by her family. Jeremy has loved Teresa for a long time, but she has a boyfriend, and when her relationship ends, will this be a chance for Jeremy to step in? This is a well written story which has family, emotion, challenges, insecurities, humor, intrigue, and love, which leads to a compelling page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Bad Rebound is an amazing read. I loved this one so much. Teresa and Jeremy have amazing chemistry. I love how Jeremy works hard on his flaws and change his ways when it comes to Teresa. I love how Teresa is pushing for her own life and trying to do everything on her own. She is smart and so competitive. Jeremy has always been the one to step up and yet questions his life. I love how Jeremy is pushed to make some changes. Teresa and Jeremy have a few healing moments when it comes to family that they really needed. I love the friendship Jeremy builds with Melody and how she helps him in the matters of the heart. I'm so looking forward to Melody's story next. I could not put this one down.
First book in the new spinoff series from the Bad Billionaires. Jeremy and Theresa are both trying to find their own path in the world, not relying on friends or family. Theresa is the sister to Jeremy’s best friend. Theresa has friend zoned Jeremy, until the kiss. Now she doubts her feelings which adds to her insecurities about her future.
This is sweet, quick read that I felt lacked the emotional depth or hook I have come to expect from Elise stories. The characters came across emotionally young, which does not appeal to me. I am hoping the next one in the series brings in more emotional elements.
4 Star review of Bad Rebound (Billionaire’s Club: Bad Brothers #1) by Elise Faber Having read other books by Elise Faber I was excited when I heard she had a new series releasing. Bad Rebound is book one in her latest series and was an entertaining friends to lovers read. growth I fell hard for Jeremy, such a caring and protective man; he quickly had me swooning. However I had a little trouble relating to Teresa but she grew on me as the story unfolded. Bad Rebound was witty and romantic and ticked a number of boxes for me. I appreciated the growth and development of both Jeremy and Teresa; it was heart warming to watch as their story progressed. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
Everyone knew how Jeremy felt about Teresa, but Teresa herself. Though I think subconsciously she knew since she felt the same herself. She just didn’t want to admit it. She always though that Jeremy saw her as a little sister one that always needed help and protecting. After having not only Teresa, his mom, but one other person that they don’t always need his help for everything. That it’s one thing to be caring, but it’s another when one goes overboard with it. Jeremy and Teresa get their happy ending together.
I enjoyed this book, it was an easy read and entertaining. I found all of the characters engaging, and I especially liked Jeremy, who feels like he needs to look after the people he cares for, often to the point of smothering them. I felt like Teresa tended to overreact to things a lot of the time. Both characters had to figure some things out, resolve their feelings about their pasts and decide what they wanted from their futures. This made for a lot of drama and ups and downs. I like the author's writing style and I'm looking forward to the second book in the series.
This is a great start to a spin-off series. We see some cameos from the last Bad series which is great but we see the newer generation as well. Jeremy and Teresa were not family but they had been around each other long enough that it was close. Jeremy always had a thing for Teresa but she wasn’t single and so he held back. When she finds herself singled up he sees a chance. But will she take the leap? This story has ups and downs and twists but definitely a HEA. Definitely recommend!! Can’t wait for more.
