Jonah wanted nothing but quiet and solitude to work on his latest book. He certainly had no plans to rescue a beautiful damsel in distress. But when Katherine wrecks her car outside his cabin, he finds playing the knight-in-shining-armor may get him more than he bargained for. Katherine longs for a man who can set her blood on fire. She wonders if such a man exists--until she finds herself stranded in a remote cabin with the man of her romance-novel dreams. What happens when a steamy, no-strings affair becomes the love of your life?

This turned out to be a very sweet romance, by an author that I'd never read anything by before, and she hasn't done anything else since 2006. She kind of just fell of the face of the earth. I would read more by her if I could get a little more steam to the story. If the "heat" could've been turned up just a notch, the book would have been a 5 star read.

But in any case, it really was a sweet story of an accidental meeting of two people from different worlds, but with a lot in common. What happens over the course of the week that they are stuck in a snowstorm is a supposed to be a no strings attached affair, but this is romance and we all know in Romance land there is no such thing as a "no strings attached" affair. Her meddling cold as ice mother and her ass-hat boyfriend (he proposed and she had yet to answer) show up to "rescue" her and instead of Katie and Jonah (so not a sexy name by the way) telling each other how they really feel about each other, she leaves with the Ice Queen and Prince Ass-Hat. They don’t speak again for over 7 months; although there are a few near misses they have no contact. There is a twist that I didn't see coming. But alas, the stars and the moon a line and what happens is so touching that I was happy they finally got a chance to clear the air.

Although the steam factor is very low, YA is steamier than this book, if you know going in that everything is all "the next morning" then you should really enjoy a sweet little love story.
