The Power Play: An RJ Rox Thriller

Rate this book
Who knew the electric vehicle industry could be so ruthless?

Secret Agent RJ Rox didn’t expect a warm return to her old job after going rogue - but her new boss knows just which buttons to push to make life difficult.

When she’s assigned to investigate claims of industrial espionage, RJ must take advantage of her connections to prove her loyalty to the Kingfisher organization and get close to Campbell Fraser, the Scottish CEO of international conglomerate Bramble.

Hired by Jefferson Tate, the CEO of rival EV company Charge, to investigate the origins of Bramble’s new battery, RJ can’t help but admire the enigmatic Fraser and be repelled by her client. Tate, it seems, is a man who cares about one thing, and one thing only – money.

As the assignment turns deadly, it’s hard to tell who the good guys are, and which side she should be on.

About the author

Jo McCready

6 books4 followers
Jo McCready grew up on the rain soaked streets of small town Scotland before moving to the sunnier climes of Auckland, New Zealand in 2010. She has a background in psychology and a lifetime love of mystery and murder. She is a founding member of the Auckland Crime Writers group and attends any writing events and festivals she can get her hands on.

Jo writes with the support of her husband and daughter, and the hindrance of a neurotic little dog. All of whom, she loves dearly.

She has written all her life, from academic papers to short stories and novels. Right from the beginning, Jo felt a strong pull back to the land of her birth. And so, RJ Rox was born. A Scot in a new land is sadly where the similarities end between Jo and her main character. Although, thinking about it, that’s actually a good thing.
