OMG!!! This was a very quick read, but it gave me so many feelings!!!
Kismet was a prequel on Oliver and Amelia's story and I am already hooked!!!
I am sitting on pins and needles for the next part and I can not wait to see where the author will lead us!!!

What a beautiful and heart wrenching beginning to Amelia and Oliver’s story. A heroine whose life is just beginning, with everything seemingly falling into place for her to have a long and happy existence with her husband to be. And a hero whose life is ending, a man lamenting an unclear future and limited time, while desperate to make the most of his seemingly short-lived days. But fate has other plans, tragedy derails the future, and somehow across it all these two cross paths. KNow that this is more of a prequel than anything, a foundation for the real story to come. One of second chances and hope- but for now we have a heartbreaking cliffhanger ending and much more story to look forward to.

This was such an enjoyable short story. It was just the perfect amount of everything to make me very invested in waiting to read more books in the series. This just got me really curious about seeing where this story will go later on. I just enjoyed this one so much. It was a lot of fun to read and I loved how many twists it had.

“Kismet” is the first part of “Kindred Souls duet”. For those who had read AJ Wolf, probably you know that she is a versatile author who can give us sweet scenes, spicy scenes, drama and characters who inevitably win our hearts. This is a short story, and yet it conveys a lot in a few pages. Amelia and Oliver have completely different lives. We are witnesses of the experiences that occur in parallel in their lives in a short time. Amelia has the perfect life: a steady job, a cozy apartment, and she's about to marry the man of her dreams. Until an unexpected turn arises and her life begins to stumble. In contrast, Oliver is a young man whose time is short since he has heart disease. Despite the circumstances, he tries to get ahead. He is honest, and within his down-to-earth aura he also has faith. So in the darkest moments there may be a little light in his path...even if it comes at the cost of tragedy in Amelia's life.
If I am honest, I can say that it is a story that stirred many feelings in me personally. I empathized quite a bit with Oliver and found him to be a very realistic character. As for Amelia, I classify her as the opposite: an idealistic and dreamy woman despite being a perfectionist. Which makes a great contrast to Oliver. Now that she has suffered a serious blow, Amelia will have to move on and will probably change her perspective on life. I'm very intrigued as to how their relationship will develop because I have to point out that they don't really know each other. Looking forward to the second part!

This story sucked me in from the first page! This was a quick read but packed a powerful punch ! It’s beautiful emotional but also heartbreaking that ending had me in tears . I definitely can’t wait for the second installment to see where this author takes us I’m sure we’re in for one helluva ride !

WOW! I am hooked and need to know what happens now. This may have been a shorter story, but boy did it pack quite the emotional punch. It was poignantly written with characters that instantly pull you in and keep you captivated on their every word. And after that ending, these characters now have me waiting in complete suspense.
This was just a little taste of what is sure to be one hell of an emotional and heart wrenching story. I will be waiting on pins and needles to see how this story is going to evolve and to find out what is going to happen to Amelia and Oliver now.

It’s a very long prologue to the events leading up to what will happen in the actual novel. Therefore, it doesn’t feel fair to me to leave a review for this when it’s not the primary story, nor is there a real plot. It just follows our two main characters in the few months leading up to the moment that will force their paths to (officially) cross.
That being said, this was well written, the characters have me hooked, and I will be picking up the book when it’s released!

Overall opinion:
Hooked. I'm absolutely hooked. This is a novella and a prequel to Amelia and Oliver's story. I laughed, swooned, gasped and cried and am itching to see what unfolds in book two. Loved the characters from beginning to end.
Brief storyline summary:
Amelia has the perfect life. She's set to marry the best man on earth and has a blossoming career as a paralegal. In the blink of an eye, it all comes crashing down and everything is gone. Oliver's life is a ticking clock and with every heartbeat, he's reminded how little time he has left. His only chance at life, is to swap his heart with a new one. Oliver just wants to live and with each passing day, he's not sure if he will get to.

This book made me feel so many things in such a short period of time. A novella of sorts, Kismet is the first half of the Kindred Souls duet following Amelia and Oliver.
Kismet sets up for the second chance romance between Oliver and Amelia. Having only “met” in brief and literal “run ins”, I can’t wait to embark on the rest of this journey with these two. Oliver is filled with so much anger and resentment over his condition and I want so badly for him to be able to experience life the way he was meant to. Amelia, who leads a seemingly happy life aside from a few brief misfortunes, has her entire world come crashing down on one fateful evening. My heart feels for the two of them deeply, in different ways, and it’s a really strange feeling to be both happy for Oliver and upset for Amelia over the same event. I can’t for the two of them to both get their second chance at a happy ending.

Having read Ms.Wolf's work many times before i always look so forward to picking up more from her! As soon as this duet was announced i couldn't wait to pick it up. I started reading it and got into the Kindred Souls world! I enjoyed it!
I really liked how these characters captured my attention completely. I wasn't sure what all was going to happen in Kismet and i so enjoyed how that got me into it even more. I felt many things throughout as well!
With Kismet, Ms.Wolf has created a good read! I am already looking forward to more and to diving back into the Kindred Souls world!

A nice touch in showcasing the life of Amelia and Oliver. This novella is setting up a base for the main books and defines how and when what happened. I loved how well descriptive the story is. A glimpse at both the main characters' life was full of emotions and heartbreak of different types. I never want a person to suffer the way these characters endured pain. It’ll be good to see how they both move forward from the situation they are in individually in the actual books.

Ohhhhhh boy. This duet is going to be gut wrenching I can feel it. This book is a novella and an intro to the second full length book. M6 heart was in my throat through the whole read. It sets up for the relationship in a big way. Gah!

Kismet had me hooked from the first page and left me wanting more by the end. This quick read was full of so many emotions and surprising twists. I can’t wait for the full length version. I already know that I will need a lot of tissues close by.

I can’t wait for the rest of the story! I was hooked from the first sentence. Seeing Ben & Lia together, i knew this one was going to hurt. You can feel Oliver’s pain. Loved it, I’ll be anxiously waiting for the rest.

This novella gutted me. I loved it so much. I couldn't put it down and was shocked when it ended even though I knew it was a novella, but I NEEDED more. The beginning of Amelia's and Oliver's story was heart wrenching, and I can't wait to see where their story goes.

This was short, sweet and straight up heartbreaking. Books that pack an emotional punch aren’t usually my go to but this book absolutely hooked me and I cannot wait for the second one.
Both Oliver and Amelia are wonderful main characters that are so easy to become invested in. Each of their lives are so different and so emotional in completely contrasting ways. I can already tell that their relationship is going to be filled with bittersweet moments.
Be prepared to be covered in goosebumps the whole way through and maybe keeps some tissues handy.

I need to know what’s coming next 😭 this was definitely a shorter story but nothing short of amazing. Cannot wait for book two!!
