Quick read

Can’t say I’m a fan of this authors writing. While its easy enough to read I did not enjoy her character or the style she uses. I was bored about halfway through but continued to the end because it was a very short 40 page story.

When you need to relax you go canoeing. Juliana hasn't been in years but she used to go with her best friend Des. Juliana is in the canoe when the water started getting rough. Big mistake going by herself. Just as she's trying to get under control she ends up on the bank and being rescued by a hunk of a man. When she looks up its her best friend Des.
Des saw her when he was walking in the woods by the area that the two of them used to go to when they hung out. Once they see each other its like no time has passed between them. Des has been out there for sometime but Julianne missed him so much. Now that they were back together they are never going to be alone again. Each other helps with stress they gone through.

Julianna is a single mom to her 6 year old daughter. Her doctor prescribes her some self care. So she takes a short camping and canoeing trip. She has a rough time canoeing. Who is there when she gets back on dry land? Desmond. Her former best friend. Former because she told him she loved him and he broke her heart, then left for the Navy. But little does she know that she has always been the love of his life. So he takes this opportunity to finally get what he wants. Then they get their happy ending. 😍

A really good second chance at love story

Enjoyed reading this book. You can feel yourself kayaking the river with her, seeing what she sees and feel her fear. She gets into trouble on the water but makes it to shore. She's rescued by her old friend and lost love Des. They hadn't seen each other in years. He left her behind to work on becoming a Seal and he never turned back. As far as she knows. Read how their lives were without each other and what their future becomes. It's a really good book. Written by Cindy :)

Des and Julianna are SOOO Stinkin’ Adorable!
Part of the multiauthor SEAL Team Romeo series of short, sweet, and sexy romances, Tarin Lex’s “Broken SEAL” is a second chance romance between childhood best friends Desmond and Julianna. Trying to relax on a solo trip, single mom Julianna ends up face-to-face with her one-time best friend for the first time in years. This surprise reunion brings a whole lot of buried feelings to the surface, and Lex gives us some pretty hot steamy, sexy bits along with those sweet little awww moments that I love. So far, I’m kinda lovin’ SEAL Team Romeo!

Such a fun read!

This book is really a fun read. The characters are wonderful and the story starts off with Julianna in a canoe and losing her thoughts to her “ex”-best friend, which almost costs her her life! Little does she know he’s (literally) right around the corner and ready to give it his all. Fun scenes, storyline, and great writing. (Hoping someday to have a follow up book released with Cora’s story!)

This is Book 15 of SEAL Team Romeo, This is the story of Desmond and Julianna. Well that is one way to find your one true love and best friend when she needs you the most. I loved how these two find their Happily ever after.

Not a real story,
Too short, no explanations at all, why he rejected her?, why never came back for her when he was on leave, not even a phone call, why he has a cabin close to her and never try anything, why nothing!!! And this is romantic?,
H doesn't love h, period.
Ridiculous love story, well, I didn't read any love here, not even lust!

Absolutely loved the newest book in the Seal Team Romeo series. Julianna is a single Mom to sweet Cora. Des rescues her and realizes she is a friend from the past. These two have the sweetest story and I have really enjoyed every story in this series.

Finding security is three basic things

Broken SEAL by Tarin Lex is part of the multi-author SEAL Team Romeo series. This story is a fantasy romance between Julianna and Desmond. I enjoyed the story but was a bit confused by it a couple of times as this couple had been best friends before he left without a word to join the Navy and become a SEAL. It is now years later and Julianna finds herself a single mother after a bad divorce, way stressed out and being ordered to take some time to relax. She decides to put a canoe in the river and take a trip into the past, as this is where she and Des had always gone. As it turns out when she gets into some trouble Des appears once again....is it a dream or is it real?
By the end I was just going with the story and watching this couple get their HEA. But the journey to it was a bit rough, like the rapids Julianna encountered. I thought the story was a good concept but was too rushed in this short story.

Julianna has been ordered by her doctor to take time for herself. Being a single mom, she is always putting others in front of her needs. She decided to hit the river and spend time in with mountains like she did with her best friend Desmond.

Desmond and Julianna were best friends growing up, that is until she admitted her feeling and he broke her heart.

Desmond joined the Navy and then become a SEAL, he was not home often, but when he did, he returned to the place his best friend and him spent most of their time. When a gut feeling drew Desmond towards the river, he never expects to see Julianna on the banks.

Their story is fast and a bit heart breaking. The pain losing the time they could have been together and the loss of love grabs at you heart and squeezes it tight.

So good. So sweet. If you like short, quick little romance you will enjoy this read. The story is filled with unexpected surprises, sexy characters and love lost. Julianna is in need of some down time and decides to go canoeing. She is not paying attention and ends up in the water. Luckily, she makes it to the shore and standing on shore is her ex best friend and her forever love Desmond. Julianna told him she loved him and Desmond left her to join the Navy Seals. They didn’t stay in touch - he didn’t want to. But, has anything really changed - Desmond is still a Navy Seal and Julianna is still in love with him. What will happen next? The story is entertaining, steamy, passionate, a real feel-good story. Is there a chance for them? Is there room for love? Very heartwarming, enjoyable read.

The Nest.
Wonderful story. Julianna is on a medically prescribed trip. She is in a canoe soaking in the vitamin D. She gets in a bit a bit of trouble when her paddle breaks. While lying on the shore she thinks she’s having a hallucination when she sees and hears her former best friend. The man who broke her heart. Des has always loved Jules but he pushed her away when joined the Navy to become a SEAL. He didn’t want to leave behind to worry about him or talk him out of going. Now he won’t let her go again even if he’s only on a short leave. Can Des convince Jules that he wants forever with her? Come stargazing and find out.

This book is a part of the Heart of a Wounded Hero series and focuses on Desmond and Junliana. Des and Julianna were best friends until she told him how she felt about him and he broke her heart and left her behind. Now years have passed and their lives are completely different than they were when they last saw each other. When Julianna runs into some trouble while out on the water, Des is there to help her out. When they reconnect, old feelings come rushing back. This was a great addition to the series.

Not my most favorite story. Very short story that just skipped from Desmond broking Julianna's heart when he went into the military to become a SEAL. Julianna makes a bad decision and ends up with a little girl. She meets Desmond again while out canoeing. Desmond finally gets Julianna to be with him and marry him. There wasn't much in between of them rekindling their relationship and Des meeting Cora. Good story but didn't give me a great feel good.

Julianna has taken a care day for herself. She's out canoeing at one of her favorite spots that also reminds her of what she's lost.

Des suddenly shows up after they haven't seen each other for many years. He's a Navy Seal.

Their connection is there and it's time they came clean to eachother about their feelings.

This is a quick read centered on a 2nd chance theme. I wished it was a little longer to see this couple mend their rift.

Desmond and Julianna

It is an OK read I just can't get over the passed of the story. One minute Julianna was recounting how her childhood best friend, Desmond broke her heart when she confessed her feelings for him and stop talking to her which wasn't difficult after he left to be a navy SEAL. He already had all this plans that he never shared with her despite their rules of not keeping secrets from each other. On the other he saved her from drowning and soon after that they are having sex and he is confessing his love for her. That doesn't work for me

I like this military romance. Julianna is a single mom getting some prescribed "me time" when she encounters her former best friend Des. They haven't seen each other in years. He left when they were teens to join the military. Now that he's back can they have a second chance that will finally lead to love? This story is told in dual POV. It is short, moves quickly and has heart & heat. A surprising amount of emotions in these few pages made this an entertaining read!

No story.

They meet up, they fuck and suddenly its ten years later and they are married, watching her daughter go off to prom, and she's talking about how she's six months pregnant like they just found out.

There is no explanation as to why he rejected her six years before and then completely ignored her afterwards, what little conversation they have is superficial and tedious, and the sex lacked any romance or passion or even sweetness.

Definitely do not recommend.

This is the fourth story I have tried by this author and I am giving up. She is just not a competent storyteller.

This is a cute p, quick read about Desmond and Julianna. They were best friends growing up until he broke her heart. Fate finds them together again 6 years later. All the feelings come back. But the same reasons Des left are still there. Can they make it work now? I like the characters and the story. Wish there had been just a little more to it. I felt like it needed a little more.

Julianna loved Des but he broke her heart when he broke up with her to become a SEAL.
Desmond left everything and everybody behind to become a SEAL, even the love of his life.
I felt a little disappointed with this story. I was expecting more from it. There are some scenes missed that I consider essential. Too much thinking backwards and forwards and too much cursive, which I found quite annoying.

Juliana and Desmond are old friends who went their separate ways. Their second chance goes quick. It is a sad story with a happy ending. I give it 3.5 stars. I usually love these stories but this time I felt something was missing. I still enjoyed it, but I missed why Juliana was in this place at this time. I lost two years after they reconnect. Could have just been me.

Jules is on a Canoe trip and needs to be rescued and that hero is the love of her life that left her seven years prior in shambles. Des left for the SEALs and thought he made the right decision but now sees what could have been his life and his family. Aaahhh I feel ambivalent about this short story. If they were both so much in love why getting together with others... But that's just my opinion. All in all a sweet short story with a sweet HEA 🥰🥰
