When a killer sets her sights on her target, is there any stopping her?

When she’s asked to do an interview with actress and humanitarian, Elodie Fontaine, it seems like a welcome distraction. She has no idea how distracting Elodie will become.

Elodie Fontaine is in demand. She chooses the movies she wants to work on and the women she wants in her bed. Humanitarian work takes up the rest of her time. Love isn’t an option. Madison walks into her life and turns it upside down and inside out. Elodie wants to see where their instant connection might lead, but Madison just wants to be friends.

Robyn Nyx is an avid shutterbug and lover of all things fast and physical. Her writing often reflects both of those passions. She lives with her soul mate and fellow scribe. Amazing thriller and romance in one book. Will definitly read more from this author. The two MC had great chemistry and the thriller was fast placed with truely horrid criminals. Some scenes are not for the faint of heart. But I really liked the idea of the horrid criminals being two females.
Very well written and I enjoyed the book very much.

That was such an awesome read! The criminal side and then the Hollywood side? Every chapter was exciting and intriguing. I do feel sympathy for the antagonists because they were dealt a really really bad hand in life. Kind of like if you tortured an animal their whole life whatever they would end up being is not their fault? But then they are humans and sentient beings. It leaves me in a grey area. It’s hard to hate someone who has been “programmed” in violence? Moral dilemma.

That first scene with Madison on the job in Russia was so confronting, and believable. It drew me in from the start. Nyx really made both Madison and Elodie come alive through her writing, which got me rooting for the both of them to get together.

Getting Therese's POV was a nice touch into the thoughts of someone who can only be described as a true psychopath. It was chilling to see the world through her eyes. I know it's a story about Mads and El getting together, and letting one another in, and less about T's criminal activity, but I felt the expose and arrest was rushed at the end.

This is the genre of book I have read for years.
Mystery, thriller, action, murder, and law enforcement. But they were always missing something for me. W/W MC'S. Now I am able to find them and I haven't gone back. This is packed with everything I love about a book. Robyn writes such powerful connections between her characters. Elodie and Madison are both strong women trying to right wrongs in the world. Madison's first location in the book is very relevant to the world today. She is a journalist. Elodie is the most sought after movie star. But she is also a former marine. I try to never give away too much when I write a review, but there is so much action in this book. Robyn's book are a easy read for me. She just has an even flow. Everything makes sense. I just get caught up and don't want to put it down. I did get an ARC but these are my own thoughts.

As much as I liked other books by this author, I just did not enjoy the writing in this one. It was 90% tell and 10% show. Not a ratio I'm a fan of.
I found myself completely disinterested about 20% in and stopped reading. Organ trafficking should never be uninteresting.

Wow! From the moment I dove into this book I fought against blinking. Let love be enough was the kind of ride you white knuckle on to while simultaneously loving every moment of, with some brilliant laugh out loud moments thrown in just to make the rise complete.

Three points of view from three incredibly different women who have surprisingly similar overlaps in the human struggles they face.
Madison Ford - An award winning journalist not scared of going into the trenches to get her story.
Elodie Fontaine - most beautiful woman in the world actress with an ex-marine history
Therese Hunt - Ring leader of a nasty organ trafficking business

Nyx investigates the human dynamics of independence, trust, brutality, and fear. Especially when one or more of these things have been broken for our characters in their pasts.
I adore Nyx’s writing style. Her ability to balance beauty in her words while describing horror in the actions and thoughts of her characters is breathtaking.
A wild ride.

A thoroughly enjoyable thriller by Robyn Nyx.

Madison Ford is a tenacious journalist, Elodie Fontaine is a superstar Hollywood actress, and Therese Hunt is the psychopathic boss of an organised crime gang. Their destinies entwine when Madison does her agent a favour by interviewing Elodie, who is an ambassador for an NGO that specialises in combatting human trafficking, whilst separately getting a tip-off about Therese’ gruesome operation in the same field. Madison and Elodie are inexorably drawn towards each other, despite their own difficult pasts, and start to work together. However Therese will stop at nothing to protect her operation, even if it means killing an award winning journalist or actress.

The action is fast and hard, and the sex scenes red hot. Robyn Nyx is at her best writing tough women, and these three don’t come any tougher. But she makes sure that they are fleshed out as characters, and by taking time to draw out their vulnerabilities she makes you genuinely care what happens next. As usual, she doesn’t stint on her research, providing a genuinely interesting insight into the issues at the heart of the plot. I found myself on the last pages before I knew what had happened, always the sign of a well plotted book.

It’s five stars from me!

Robyn Nyx can take the best and worst parts of humanity and weave them into a story that keeps the pages turning all night... be ready to lose sleep. Elodie and Maddison are characters you'd love to have over for dinner - funny, unique, could have been broken but weren't. Therese and Natasha are the polar opposite and when their worlds collide it's a fight for life... Robyn addresses some tough subjects in her works and that's what makes her such an incredible author, through fiction she gets people thinking of things they ignore to the detriment of society. Thriller, romance, mystery, sex (it's Robyn Nyx), humor, all covered!

Edge of your seat thriller!

Madison, a journalist, meets Elodie, an actress and humanitarian, when taking a well-earned break from her demanding career and stories, and the two develop a friendship and mutual attraction for one another, despite Madison insisting it can’t go beyond friendship. When Madison finds herself in possession of an incriminating package, her investigating puts her in danger and her only hope is Elodie.

A very exciting thriller, with lots of depth and a fast pace. Things changed in a blink of an eye, as they often do with journalism and you could empathise with all of Madison’s reasons for not wanting to get too involved with Elodie. I loved their unlikely connection though, and because of this many a surprise presented itself throughout the story. The added layer of corrupt characters that draw Madison into her investigations, really add an extra element of the unexpected and were so well constructed you just knew there was nothing good about them, so Madison was playing dangerously.

I was so surprised by how different Elodie and Madison’s characters were from what I had expected, more so Elodie. There were a lot of surprises with her character that left me very excited for what we would get from her in this story. Elodie was very exuberant and she lead a lifestyle that somewhat matched and yet she had this humanitarian down to earth side that left you knowing the right person could capture her heart. I’m just glad that was Madison, the complete opposite but still with a thirst for life, just a little different to Elodie’s.

An exciting adventure, with many a hot and steamy intimate scene, and a lot of action! Hopefully, Elodie and Madison might have some future adventures that are a little less dangerous so we can get to know them even better.

Robyn Nyx has some serious talent. This is a fast paced thriller that has you engaged from the first page. There is strong chemistry between the characters. They have growth as the pages progresses. This is only the second book I have read by Robyn Nyx and I will look forward to her other writings. I will keep this in my reread pile to enjoy in the future.

The stakes are thrillingly high in this ultimate game of cat and mouse. As a journalist seeks out her prey, little does she know, that she's the one being hunted.

Therese Hunt takes psychopath to a whole other level: leader of an organ trafficking ring, she'll stop at nothing to safe guard her enterprise - the more blood spilt the better.

It comes as no surprise then, when journalist extraordinaire Madison Ford starts sniffing around Therese's operation, that there's bound to be trouble on the horizon. Unaware of exactly how ferocious of a bear she's poking, Madison continues with her other journalistic endeavours - including an interview with hot shot actress and advocate for a human trafficking NGO, Elodie Fontaine. Used to sleeping with whomever she pleases, Elodie begins to realise that maybe this time might be different and as Madison insists on being just friends, she has her work cut out for her.

As things begin to heat up between Madison and Elodie (and oh, does Nyx break the thermometer), there's a different type of heat building in Therese's veins - that of boiling blood. Out to protect her empire, she'll cross lines others wouldn't, leaving Elodie with no choice but to re-visit a past she'd long since thought laid to rest. But with Therese on the rampage, Elodie will do anything to save the woman she loves. The only question is, will it be enough?

Unashamedly, Nyx is one of my all-time favourite authors; she writes across the genres that i love and never fails to feature an array of strong, yet flawed women in her stories - Let Love Be Enough, is no different. Whilst the story is suspenseful and thrilling in all the right places, Nyx never forgets the romance and more importantly her character's development. Add this to Nyx's aptitude to delving into the gritty side of humanity and you've the most sublime story waiting to be read.

Nyx's words and stories are the literary equivalent of a 4DX movie. When you pick up one of her books, you know you aren't going to sit back, relax and just read. Instead, you'll find yourself on the edge of your seat, clinging on through every twist and turn, before landing back in the real world with a satisfying thump, adrenaline pumping and wide-eyed. But that's the beauty of a great author, of stories exactly like Let Love Be Enough; which really isn't a story but an alternative reality, expertly crafted for readers to submerge their every sense into.

If you loved Nyx's recent release Dead Pretty, be sure to make time to read Let Love Be Enough, you won't be disappointed. This story may be a walk on the dark side of life, but it's also a story of so, so, much more.

Let Love Be Enough is Robyn Nyx at her best and my favorite of hers so far. Told from 3 POVs, there was none stop action from the first to last page.

Madison Ford is a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who has seen her share of the horrors of humanity. After being assaulted and expelled from Russia, she turned her attention to the world of human organ trafficking after receiving a package full of information on a human organ trafficking ring. She’s assigned to interview humanitarian and actress Elodie Fontaine, an LGBTQ+ icon and World’s Sexiest Person whose sexual conquests were almost as famous as her acting roles. But Elodie isn’t your ordinary actress. She’s also a a former Marine. The sparks fly when Madison meets Elodie, who is fascinated with the confident take-no-prisoners journalist. But when the body count starts to pile up closer and closer to Madison thanks to the ring leader Therese Hunt, Elodie is forced to tap into her military training to try and save the woman she loved.

Therese Hunt was such a great villain. She’s controlling, poised, ruthless, and truly enjoys the mayhem she causes. I wanted to hate her, and was really close to doing so, when Robyn gave her a sliver of humanity in the form of her feelings toward her equally depraved “girl,” Nat. I really enjoyed all 3 characters, but I was really drawn into the scenes with Therese. They were raw, uncomfortable, and showed so many different facets of a character who could have easily been written as a campy caricature. The multi-dimensions of Therese Hunt made this story one that I couldn’t put down.

Of course it wouldn’t be a Robyn Nyx book without hot sex scenes that toe the line with erotica. The personalities of Elodie, Madison, and Therese really came through during those scenes, but Therese’s were probably some of the most visceral I’ve read in a while. Maybe the Former Marine-Turned Actress-Returned Former Marine is a little far fetched as a plot, but so the fuck what. It was so much fun I wouldn’t have it any other way.

If you are looking for a fun, action-packed read, this is the book for you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It isn’t often that you get such visible proof an author has grown and matured into a successful writer, but with Let Love Be Enough, Robyn Nyx has done just that. I read and enjoyed Never Enough when it was first released some years ago and have since found out that it was her first book. She has had the opportunity to complete a ‘do-over’ and the new version is very special. The entire story is much ‘tighter’ and the characters are much stronger. My heart was in my mouth for pages, waiting to see what would happen next throughout the story despite having read the original.

The thriller part of the story is gritty and holds your attention such that you find you must keep reading to see what happens next. It involves a woman, Therese, who is evil through and through, although we learn why she is the way she is. She rules her operation using fear of her cruelty or the removal of any person who may dissent. We witness this happening too.

The unlikely pairing of Elodie, an actress and Madison a journalist are the good people fighting her evil, and I just loved the contrast between good and evil. The other contrast I enjoyed was the relationship between Elodie who has had a continuous stream of women in her bed, and Madison who is too busy travelling the world following stories to have more than a friend with benefits. Robyn Nyx is very good at writing hot SEX. I shall say no more.

If you enjoy thrillers then this is a book you mustn’t miss - prepare to be enthralled.

When selecting my bookshelves/tags, I really wished I could select "series".

I used to love reading mysteries like James Patterson for the Alex Cross series and Jonathan Kellerman for Alex Delaware series. Let Love Be Enough reminded me so much of the grit of crime series. Therese is the twisted villain involved in illegal organ harvesting who takes joy in violence. Madison is the intrepid journalist investigating deep topics. Elodie is the world's sexiest actress. All the characters have a past that is briefly touched upon (I wish there was more background because I've got that mindset of "what happened to make them this way?"

The action scenes were fast paced. My heart was beating as I was reading one particularly amazing scene.

I've been mainly reading Happily Ever After romance books. I was glad to have read this cat and mouse chase mystery/romance. Wow! Just wow!

As Thrillers go this is a great one, but I cannot help to add a warning here.

I have been a paramedic and I have seen some rather gruesome sights during my training and my time in charge of an ambulance in the emergency services of my home town Hamburg in Germany. Nevertheless some of the violence described here was hard to take.

That said, the plot is captivating and the romance between Madison and Elodie is slow, but very well written and believable and hot, when if finally hits home.

Unfortunately the crime this story is centered around is much too close to reality today, given the way governments are cutting money spent on hospitals and medical staff and the way healthcare has become a gold mine for pharmaceutical companies. If a gang like this doesn’t already exist it is only a question of when, not if those things are going to happen.

This is not for sensitive souls.

Let Love Be Enough is a fast-paced action packed thriller that hooked me from the opening line. I literally couldn’t put it down. Robyn Nyx submerges her reader into a world of celebrity, gritty current affairs and the criminal underworld whilst never neglecting the romance or the heat! Three very different narrative points of view are skilfully interwoven to show us three very strong, very different but equally memorable women.

Nyx writes with a muscularity and efficiency and no word is wasted. Her confidence as a writer is audacious and left me a little breathless at times. This book is not for the faint of heart and is quite heavy on the violence both physical and sexual. However, Nyx balances this by exposing the full spectrum of human existence. This is a world in which the truly good are pitted against the truly evil. She does not shy away from revealing the darkness of the human psyche and the cruelty of this world, whilst shining a light on what is best in humanity. All of this in an entertaining and original story. I really loved it!

Let Love Be Enough is a crime thriller/romance with three very interesting leads that make the book standout from others in the same genre.

At its heart is the romance between Madison and Elodie. Madison is a Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporter who has seen her fair share of violent and despicable things, Elodie is an Oscar winning actress, frequent lover of women and People’s Sexiest Woman Alive for like the past decade, And an ex-Marine (of course!). Neither of these women are underachievers.
The villain is Therese who runs an illegal transplant ring that finds live donors for people willing to pay to have others murdered for their organs. Therese is insanely sadistic, but not insane. She sees herself as an accomplished businesswomen who will do whatever necessary to protect her interests.

Madison is the key to both women - as she spends time getting to know Elodie after writing a feature on her, the two women start to develop feelings. Meanwhile, Madison’s newest project looking into a transplant ring puts her on Therese’s radar, and not in a good way.

The book is violent in sometimes disturbing ways thanks to Therese’s penchant for pain. There are also a good amount of sex scenes, as all three women are refreshingly open and unapologetic about their sex lives. All of the women had rough and/or abusive childhoods, which shaped who they are as adults and it is interesting to see how 3 different women all adapted differently to those traumas. My one wish for the book was that this would have been explored a bit deeper as it really could have been a fascinating way to show how three very different women were similar at their foundations.

I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone not squeamish about violence - the author did not hold her imagination in check when coming up with creative ways to kill and torture people. The violence was offset by a pretty sweet romance. Toss in some angst, suspense and an island rescue and you’ve got a pretty great story!

I received an ARC copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.

This book features three different points of views. Madison Ford an award-winning journalist is roped into doing a human-interest story about A-list Hollywood actress Elodie Fontaine and her role as an ambassador to an NGO combatting human trafficking. When Elodie and Madison meet the journalist learns there is more to the actress than meets the eye and sparks start to fly.
At the same time Madison is provided information about an organ trafficking ring led by Therese Hunt. While Madison is set on doing everything she can to expose Therese, Therese will stop at nothing to protect her business interest. Even if that means she has to get rid of two high profile targets.

This book is fast paced and keeps you at the edge of your seat from the first to the last page. Robyn Nyx has a talent for creating tough female characters that are multi-dimensional with a capacity for love and vulnerability that has you invested in their story. The plot is intricate and well researched providing insight into the issues at the center of this story. The characters have great chemistry between each other and a lot of sexual tension which is frequently consumed. Robyn Nyx has delivered another solid book and hasn’t shied away from showing the at times darker side of organized crime.

Five stars from me.

I was captivated. Did not want to stop reading!

Robyn Nyx! Wholly smokes! I was captivated! I found this book dramatic, edgy, rough, violent and raw, yet beautifully written. Beautiful! I was totally sucked in.

This is a crime story, a ruthless crime story. This story is about a journalist searching out and finding her next gritty and dangerous expose. Madison Ford is an accomplished journalist with integrity. She embarks on a mission to uncover the world of, and this is slightly hard for me to write, but I do so for the review… the trafficking of human body parts. There it is, I said it. And I can’t get it off the table, because it is a central part to the whole premise.

Does Madison do what she needs to in order to get the story because she’s legitimately trying to expose the truth and take down this gang? Yes. Does she fall in love with a Hollywood actress, who just happens to be ex-military who may or not be able to protect Madison from the evils that lurk in the darkness? Yes.

Yes, yes, ask what ever question you want here. I’m not giving away anything. All I know is that once I started this book, I DID NOT want to put it down.

Fair warning though, I mentioned edgy, rough, violent and raw, in my first sentence. For you as a reader, if this is an issue to you, please be advised.

“Madison walked toward her quickly and with obvious purpose. She didn’t say a word, just wrapped her arms around Elodie and held her. She felt a wave of what she could only describe as safety sweep over her. She was usually the one doing the holding, however briefly that might be. She couldn’t rightly recall the last time anyone had held her, truly held her, in their arms.”

Heroine: Elodie Fontaine
Heroine: Madison Ford

This one caught me by surprise. I was not expecting the storyline to capture my attention quite so much. Don’t get me wrong I don’t go into a book thinking it’s going to be terrible. I just really liked the heroines and how everything unfolded. Elodie the play girl had layers upon layers. Madison does one thing that I didn’t particularly like but it made sense.

Cliffhanger – no (stand alone)

The book begins with an insight into the dangerous world of award winning investigative journalist Madison. On a break in LA she agrees to interview ‘the world’s sexiest woman’, actor Elodie Fontaine about her humanitarian work.

We follow their growing attraction alongside Madison’s current investigation into organ harvesting. It’s a fast-paced adventure with really bad baddies and hot, ass-kicking women, with a lovely romance between the main characters. I couldn’t put it down.

Highly original, exciting, scary, and ...

High-powered journalist meets movie star/former Marine; heat ensues.
Then there's the villain, a sadistic organ donor trafficker, who goes after the journalist, who's working on a story about the trafficking.
This story is highly original, exciting, scary, and, at times, repulsive. Oh, and romantic and sexy too. Good stuff!
