Best-selling sapphic romance author Nicole Spencer-Skillen brings you the highly anticipated sequel to If We Meet Again.
Did Megan come back for Ashley? Yes, No, Maybe. On some subconscious level, probably. She is certain of one thing. Since the moment they locked eyes there has only been one constant in her life—Ashley.
Megan is back in New York, for good. When the WNBA came calling, she had three offers, but only one allowed her to return to the city she loved. Basketball was her life’s obsession, until now. The more time she spends with Ashley, the harder it is to deny her feelings. She feels their connection deeper than ever. Ashley is content. She’s working for the most respected publication in New York, she’s engaged to be married and she has two best friends she would trust with her life. Why does she feel like something is missing? Contentment might not be enough when the girl who has consumed her thoughts for the past four years becomes a permanent feature in her life. In their attempt to be “just friends,” Megan and Ashley are faced with a slanderous article, a dangerous road trip, and the constant battle of trying to convince everyone that their friendship is legitimate. The Wedding is fast approaching. Ashley is determined to remain loyal to Madison, and Megan is forced to make a choice that will change her life forever. Is it too late to take a chance on love?

Hi, I’m Nicole — a 32-year-old writer, quote collector, basketball fanatic, and proud wife of 7 years. Originally from Lancashire, I now live in South Yorkshire with my incredible wife and our three chaos-loving dogs.
For the last decade, I’ve been crafting quotes, short stories, and LGBT novels — mostly for fun, always from the heart. When I’m not glued to my laptop with a cup of matcha in hand, you’ll probably find me hopping on a plane, watching / playing basketball, or dreaming up my next big story idea from the comfort of my sofa . . . or coffee shop.
Sapphic romance is more than a genre for me — it’s a mission. Growing up, I didn’t see myself in the pages I read. The world was full of heterosexual love stories (some of which I adored), but none quite hit home. So now, I write the stories I wish I’d had: honest, modern, relatable tales where queer women can finally see themselves as the main character.
My goal? To create an escape, a spark, or even just a little moment of connection for anyone who picks up one of my books — especially for the LGBT+ community who deserve to feel seen, celebrated, and swooningly in love.
A few fun facts:

3.5 stars! This 2nd book in the 'If We Meet Again' series was a bit stagnant with the chaotic back & forth POV of each main character (Ashley & Megan) laying out how they really felt and whether they should shout out their true feelings --- BUT the storyline did have a few good moments which made it enjoyable. I think readers do get a sense of the storyline's relatability and also predictability a mile away.
I enjoyed the second instalment because of all the adventure the characters got into. Since getting my bearings, I’m pretty sure I know how the flow goes now. The angst was less than the first book but still so enjoyable to read. Now I’m dreading book 3. I hope it ends the way I want it to!!!
Thank you to the author for an eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Just as compelling as book 1. I am emotional.
If We Meet Again: The Wedding picks up after the first but this time Megan and Ashley are both in New York City. However, Ashley is currently engaged to her best friend, Madison. Megan wants to support her, and she does wholeheartedly, if only she could get her heart to think only platonic thoughts.
I loved Ashley and Megan’s characters. I loved the growth we saw from them over these two books and I loved seeing how close they were to each other. If there is such a thing as fate or true love, it is definitely these two. Then there was how close Ashley got with Megan’s family. Agh I was literal heart eyes over it. She fit in so easily and I really loved her relationship with Nancy, Megan’s grandmother. Nancy is just the sweetest and I love her so much.
Before I found out this was going to be a trilogy, my main complaint was we don't get enough of Megan and Ashley in romantic settings together. But I have a feeling book 3 will rectify that! I was glad that
Overall, I would definitely recommend this series!

I’ve been trying to think of a proper way to review this book since I read it. Overall, I love love love this series. I love their love. I love Ashley and Megan. I hate that the novel ended abruptly but knowing there’s going to be another book that follows, I’m not too mad about it. Ashley and Megan tend to reflect parts of my best friend and I. There’s a joke that the characters were written about us. I’m excited to see where the third book goes!
If We Meet Again- The Wedding is the second installment of Ashley and Megan’s story. The book begins where the first left off, at Megan’s grandparents’ vow renewal. Megan is back in NYC to make her WNBA debut and Ashley is engaged and working for the NYT. As the story leads to Ashley’s wedding, both women have to fight the undeniable connection between them.

This was another great book! I love the one bed trope!! And I finally got my happy ending!
Overall, the story was well written and had very like-able characters. I enjoyed the suspense and the added twist during the road trip! The writing style was easy to read and made the book very entertaining. I loved the banter between characters, as well as the flaws seen in each of our heroines. Like the first book, I felt like this story was not a typical rom-com but still provided the happily ever after we all cheer for.
Thank you to the author Nicole Spencer-Skillen for this arc.
I was a massive fan of If We Meet Again and I was so excited to be chosen to read the sequel early for an honest review. As you can probably tell by the amount of time it took me to read this book, I throughly enjoyed the sequel!
I want expecting to be such a slow burn so I kept getting antsy and I think there were a few times where I was actually shouting at Ashley and Megan to just kiss already! I did feel torn about Megan and Ashley getting together (even though they are definitely soul mates) as I really liked the person who Ashley was actually engaged to and I knew she was going to get her heart broken. There were a few times where I thought I knew what was going to happen but it kept me on my toes. I don’t think I’ve felt so conflicted with an ending before 😂
It’s such a beautiful slow burn romance story and It made me believe in soulmates…maybe mine is out there.
I’m really really really hoping that Nicole writes a third book. With all that slow burn and angst I went through wondering if they’d end up together, I feel like I personally deserve a book full of fluff with Ashley and Megan being together! 😂😂

Have you ever had a connection with someone where you can have unusual and vulnerable conversations? Where you supported each other despite sometimes being worlds apart. Someone that you felt in sync with. Someone who you could share your innermost feelings and thoughts without judgment. Someone who your eyes immediately searched for them in a room full of people. Nicole Spencer-Skillen eloquently writes those feelings in her new book, IWMA- The Wedding.
This book was about love, friendships, and the risk of taking chances. Throw in a road trip, one bed, add some suspense and a twist, and you have a quick, well written read. Did I get the happy ending that I wanted for Ashley and Megan? You'll have to read to find out.
After reading if we meet again earlier in the year I was lucky enough to get to be a part of the ARC team for part 2. I loved this book so much maybe a little more than part one if that’s even possible 😂. I laughed and I cried - more like sobbed - there was twists and turns it’s just perfect. I love the way the book is written it’s so easy to fall in love with the characters. There’s so much more I want to say about this book but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone!
The release date is 26th of April- If you haven’t read the first book there’s plenty of time to read it just in time for the release of part 2 😉
Megan and Ashley are by far my favorite fictional couple. And that ending! That ending had me bitting my nails it was worth the wait! It took a lot for Megan and Ashley to see where they truly wanted to be. My favorite part of this book was Ashley’s Christmas gift to Megan, the meaningful detail behind it was beautiful! I also pictured Christmas like no other it makes me want to visit New York for the holidays. I enjoyed every page as always Nicole has the ability to keep her readers engaged. Her novels just get better I must say I am stuck between choosing my favorite one, but this definitely may be it. Congrats on your success Nicole!

I waited for this for so long! The first book left me hanging and anxious as to what happens next. I live how the story progressed. It shows how most of the time, mistakes are necessary for us to find what we are really looking for. Painful, yes, but sometimes we can't see what's right in front of us until it hits us in the face. I won't say more so I won't spoil anything. All I'll say is, reading this made me cry really hard. Exceptional job Nicole! I hope to read more books from you.
It’s so obvious that Megan and Ashley’s love is mutual. The build up throughout the book was distraught with emotions. My only negative was the very end. I feel It was a bit of a let down. I’m glad it ended the way it did. I just think it could have been more fulfilling. It needed an epilogue.
There’s slow burn and then there’s 2 books worth of slow burn. But it was totally worth it. I was hoping for some sort of epilogue but maybe we’ll get a whole book instead.
The first book left me wanting more and then the second only added to that. What an amazing story. I was made to feel everything as the story unfolded. It was gripping and all consuming I loved it
I couldn't put this book or the first book down. The story was that good. It was amazing how she kept you questioning. I will read every book this author writes. Looking forward to her next.
The slow burn and pining is just top tier, tensions were growing between Ashley and Megan, and the build-up to the big blow up at the wedding was so well written. In some scenarios, their actions are clearly wrong, but i just can't help but root for them. I support women's rights and wrongs 🙌 Some parts of the plot were a bit crazy like sophia's ex and her almost killing Ashley, and also the fact we had no follow-up of sophia's condition or anything like that, it was just mostly glossed over. But to be honest, it's just a small thing compared to what i love about this book. So overall, still a 5 stars.
The seamless way the writing flows is what makes this trilogy exceptional. Our group of extraordinary characters are coming together for the wedding of Ashley and Madison. As we lead up to the event so many things are happening and feelings are being expressed but not in the correct way. Denial seems to be the word you can use to express what’s wrong here. Megan is ready to self destruct. Nancy could be sick. And all blows up in one emotional moment. So good!
Super predictable, super slow and incredibly boring. Very disappointed in the second book of the series especially as I really enjoyed the first one. Also found the dialogue to be very cheesy. I basically skimmed through the last 1/3 of it. Not one part of this book stood out to me. Won’t be reading the 3rd of the series unfortunately.
This book had me crying! I liked if we meet again, but the wedding?? It made me feeling every single emotion with the characters. We finally got the development of Meg and Ash’s friendship that really made you sympathetic to the characters (especially Meg for me). I just loved reading this book so much!
i thought this was a really cute sequel but the ending just felt so abrupt !!! like i get why it all happened etc but i absolutely hate romance books where the end doesn’t have an epilogue / a proper glimpse into life post whatever the massive obstacle was :( still a cute read tho
I mean… in the forefront, I think the book is ok. I like the story on Ashley and Megan in the first book. Do I think it needed two books? Probably not. If you want a cringey love story, this series probably isn’t for you.

Firstly.. can we just take a moment to appreciate the beautiful aesthetically pleasing front cover!? Thank you. Moving on.. Ever since I read ɪꜰ ᴡᴇ ᴍᴇᴇᴛ ᴀɢᴀɪɴ, I haven't stopped thinking about Megan and Ashley, and I've been DESPERATE to find out what happened between them after that killer cliff hanger ending. I‘n so grateful to be part of Nicole's ARC team for this second book and I have been excitedly waiting for the day I could pick this up.
ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴇᴅᴅɪɴɢ starts where the last book left off, so I would recommend reading the first installment prior to this. We follow the same perspectives, switching mainly between Megan and Ashley, as they attempt to navigate their complicated dynamic and unavoidable chemistry, only this time - Ashley has her wedding day on the horizon, and it's not Megan she's marrying.
I fell in love with the characters all over again. Nicole has such a way of forging incredible characters who you can’t help but feel connected to. I don't know who I love more - sassy, charming Ashley or energetic, fiery and determined Megan. The relationship between the two is stunningly developed and they are definitely my all time favourite book couple. I both laughed and sobbed throughout this, and there were some added twists in contrast to the first book. This was just as beautifully written, in a style that makes for such an easy and enjoyable read and I flew through it in one sitting - I could literally read Nicole's writing for hours on end.
Nicole Spencer-Skillen has set up the perfect amount of tension between Ashley Stewart and Megan Davis to keep readers completely engaged in their outcome.
Time after time, places and people intervene to keep the pair apart. In the meantime, each tells herself to settle for a friendship rather than lose their connection altogether.
But the spark that ignited from nothing less than love will not be extinguished.
The only thing that can make Megan permanently walk away from Ashley is watching her marry Madison, Ashley’s lifelong friend, confidant, and eventual lover and fiancée.
Ashley honestly loves Madison and can imagine a comfortable future with her. She’s also admirably loyal and committed.
Also, Spencer-Skillen has written Madison to be hard to perceive as anything but sweet, supportive, and guileless.
One hopes if Madison’s not meant to be with Ashley until death do they part that she locks eyes with her Luce — as in the movie “Imagine Me and You” — when she walks down the aisle.
What could be wrong with two HEAs?
We’re only days away from the third book in the series, and I just finished reading Books 1and 2 again to be ready.
Overall this is a good read. This second book reminds me of Imagine Me & You.
I have a love-hate relationship with this book. The yearning is too much for my heart, but apparently I love it. What I don’t like is there are gaps and things that get whooshed over or never mentioned again and that honestly interrupted my reading flow. Especially for the last half of the book, I often had to go back the page before to make sure that I just didn’t skip a chapter.
I’d like there to be another book or at least an epilogue because that ending still has me hanging even if it concludes the story. I need to know about the consequences and the aftermath. I need to know what was going on in Ashley’s mind and what led to that ending. I need to know the gaps.
Side note: this is a minor details but the music and film preferences in this book aren’t for me. I’m a book person and I rarely watch shows/movies and listen to older music, so I couldn’t connect on that aspect. If anyone create a playlist on Spotify or something for this book, then feel free to drop the link.
