A NEW START IN SPAIN is an uplifting feel-good read set on the Spanish coast of Almeria – a story of friendships and new beginnings.
So many folks making a fresh start, Chasing their dreams or stopping falling apart. A new life for some but changes for all As they respond to Spain's call.
Five people who were on different tracks Now moving forward instead of looking back. Most were strangers but meeting the others they find A new outlook on life and folks who are usually kind.
A great setting for this gorgeous read Showing how folks coming together can provide what they need. Their jobs, lives and families might seem so different Maybe fate and life is now giving them a new intent.
I thoroughly enjoyed escaping with them all to Spain Where their lives entangled, helping healing and relieving strain. The locations and food are brought vividly to life As are the lives of folks involved, their romance and their strife!
Another great read from this author who Whose books I enjoy and hope you do, too! I can't wait for more of his lovely books And hope my review encourages you to give them a look!
I picked up this novel on an impulse, partly because it's set in Spain, and partly because it's the story of a middle-aged woman who is starting over. The characters are engaging and the story flows in a believable way. The author succeeds in creating a pleasant community and the town she describes is appealing. I enjoyed the story, and recommend it to all who like to read contemporary romance novels. ¡Que viva el amor!
Well, this was a surprise. Reading the first couple of chapters or so, I thought I was not going to keep going with this book. It read dull as dishwater and the writing didn't sound very professional. Then suddenly everything changed. The story took off and it was great.
Maybe the author should go back and 'do over' those chapters because they might put people off. And once you wade through them, it is actually a fantastic read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it made me feel like I'd been on a bit of a holiday. Always a good sign.
Loved the writing and story so much, already looking for more from Ian!! The story had such depth, it really made you want to be there with the amazing characters and I was rooting for the majority of them all the way through!!
This author is obsessed with coffee and pastries!! His characters seem to eat nothing else, apart from the occasional pizza or chips!! The story is set in Spain! How about they try some Spanish food now and again!? Plus everyone seems to speak fluent English - even in the villages - so unrealistic. I will not be reading any more books by this author
I loved this story with all its twists and turns. I so easily fell back into the way of life set in the vibes of the areas previously visited. Now onto the next in the series from this clever writer who has us in his gripe, wanting more of the same from whichever area its set.
A light happy romantic story showing how two strong determined women made a success of their lives not running away from failure but starting again from scratch to reach their potential
Once again another intriguing story. We'll written and thoroughly enjoyable and yet another book I was unable to put down. I'm slowly - or not so slowly - working my way through all of Ian's books and have yet to find one I don't get drawn into
