3.5 stars because of execution. Absolutely deserves to be read again. I was suuuper excited for what was being offered in this book. I don’t think the author has spent enough time with the model he has created. I want to rewrite this entire book for him. The first half was effective but poorly done. The second half largely summed up to: get therapy. There is so much more to all of this. It also applies to faith progression. I’ll come back to this.

The book focuses on the differences between building character and skills. Many focus on skills and not personal character because it is easier. It broadly categorizes people into those who aren't interested in personal growth, those who are trying to climb the ladder and push themselves but it is for personal gain and those who are genuinely trying to help others and the company be successful. Those who are willing to focus on others tend to have the biggest impact and are the rarest as well. I really liked the message but he didn't seem to offer much beyond the general concept. Such as approaches to improve your character.

Best leadership book!

This is the best leadership book I’ve read in the last 10 years - it has sparked a beginning in me.
