The Legacy Mobster Fallon Maher is falling for the most unlikely person. Aspen is handsome, but he’s quiet, while Fallon is the opposite and talks enough to irritate everyone. The two men dance around their feelings, but when Fallon is injured while on a job for their boss, Aspen charges into the line of fire to help him.
The Man Who Kills for The Irish Mob Boss Aspen Kavanagh observes before he formulates a plan to act, and he sees how much Fallon struggles to be what is necessary to survive in the Killough Company. He’s too kind for this type of work, but with the right training he will be okay. Cillian, Rowen, and Aspen have no trouble taking lives, but it’s clearly something Fallon will need help to learn. Between Fallon getting hurt and his obvious struggle with killing, Aspen is afraid that Fallon will be removed from the Company.
Loving Against All Odds Fallon and Aspen get closer as Fallon recovers from an injury, but then all hell breaks loose in New York City’s criminal underground. People are dead, buildings are destroyed, and business plans are ruined for more than one mob. The Irish boss, Sloan Killough, wants answers and revenge. Fallon is too injured to go out and prove himself in the ensuing chaos, but all Aspen can think about is him as he soldiers on and follows the orders of his boss. Will Aspen be able to find a way to keep Fallon with the Company, and more importantly, with him? Or will Killough’s killers have to say goodbye to their apprentice?
How Did You Survive Alone? must be read as part of the Irish Roulette series to get the most enjoyment out of the story. The book does not end on a cliffhanger, but there are more Irish mob stories to come from Ki Brightly and M.D. Gregory!
I spend most of my days writing, editing, and perfecting the craft of storytelling.

This is a very hard review to write. Did I enjoy this book? Yes. Did it make me happy? No, it did not.
I started this series with the knowledge that it was a harem romance. A harem is when there is one person who is the main love interest, then you have others that all love that person. It took me 2 books to fall in love with Vail. Vail has ADHD and is brilliant. But also because of the way he thinks, comes across as scatterbrained. By the second book, I got that and wanted nothing more than for him to stay happy with his 4 men.
Then this book came out. I inhaled it. As much as it upset me, I could not stop reading it.
Vail is no longer the main love interest. That's a spoiler, but since this story is told via the POV of Aspen and Fallon, it's not much of one. This story was about Aspen and Fallon falling in love. Vail was pushed to the side. Maybe if Vail had his own POV, it would not have felt that stark, but alas, this is what we got.
Don't get me wrong, I loved that Aspen came to acknowledge his feelings and admit that he loved Fallon, and that Fallon was able to be loved, but did it have to come at the expense of Vail?
I will give you examples that I had already noted when I was raging about this last night. Fallon goes into the hospital for reasons and Aspen is the one who does not leave his side. Vail shows up to visit every now and again. When the one time Vail was able to get Aspen to leave and take a shower, Aspen refused sex with Vail cause it would be cheating if Fallon wasn't there.
Then during sexytimes Fallon starts getting jealous that Aspen is smiling at Vail. Really? The one person who is supposed to be the love of all of these men?
Aspen gave Vail the little smile he seemed to save for him, and I was shocked at how goddamned jealous it made me. What had Vail done to get it?
So this harem turned into a polygon, which is fine, but why not start that in the first book? Why make it seem like it was going to be a harem all the way through?
While all this is happening, Fallon is also falling for Rowen and Cillian. Both of them are also more into him.
Or as Cillian says "Vail’s our innocent angel, but you? You’ll be our whore."
Aspen and Cillian are getting very close to doing more with each other, which is exciting. But poor Rowan was pretty much left out of this story.
Will I read the rest? Most likely because I love the mob parts of the story. They are very over the top and I enjoyed them. But I am also very disappointed. After falling so hard for Vail, I wanted him to be so very happy and he wasn't.
In the epilogue, on Vail's date night with Aspen and Fallon, Aspen takes him to a MMA fight with a lot of people and Vail is very uncomfortable. But since it's something Fallon wants, Vail does not get a choice about it and that sums up my feelings about this series.
Meg and I would like to give you a big thanks for reading books from the New Gothenburg universe!
So thank you!
How did You Survive Alone? includes all of the guys from the first two books, but the focus in this one is on the growth of Aspen and Fallon's relationship, though we do see more going on with the other guys as well. Also, there is a lot of good, dark mafia violence to keep everyone entertained!
Here is the Authors' Note from the book.
Authors’ Note on Medical Issues in the Book Fallon Maher has type 1 diabetes and we have done our best to represent his condition as realistically as possible. There are also some medical traumas in How Did You Survive Alone?, and again we have done research, talked to people, and tried to represent medical realities to the best of our abilities; however, we have glossed over some stages of recovery related to the injury to better suit the story we are telling.
We also wanted to thank everyone who has enjoyed reading about Vail so far. His character is a labor of love for the authors, who both live with ADHD every day of their lives. Please remember, just because someone else’s experience is different from yours, doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Vail’s ADHD is an amalgamation of what the authors have personally experienced.
Meg and I are hard at work on the next two books in this series. The next two books will feature Cillian and Aspen growing closer, and Rowen and Fallon growing closer.
Whew! This series just gets better and better! Never in a million years would I have thought that I would read and love a reverse harem/polyamory book. It has never really been something that I have been drawn to, but Ki Brightly and M.D. Gregory have once again made me love something that would typically have been out of my comfort zone. Add in the Killough Company and many of my favorite characters and I am one happy reader.
Book 3 focuses on Aspen and Fallon developing their own special relationship in the midst of all the other men. Vail seems to be pulling all of these men together and making them look at each other in a deeper different way. I love that. Fallon is by far my favorite character in this series. He is funny, energetic, and just needs someone to love him. He tends to hide behind his humor and at times that has driven the other members of the Killough Company crazy. They have been cruel and thoughtless in how they've treated Fallon in the other books. Vail is the only one (so far) who is able to see and love who Fallon really is.
In this book, Aspen and Fallon develop this beautiful relationship. Fallon respects Aspen and wants to please Aspen in all ways. Aspen is attracted to Fallon, but soon realizes that there is more to Fallon than just good looks. Vail encourages them to explore their attraction and I love that.
Can I just say that I love how each relationship in this polycule is so unique and different? I adore how Ki and Meg are slowly showing us how these relationships develop and why they all need each other. Perhaps that is one reason I've never been a huge fan of RH before. There is no build-up--just sex. I mean, there is a lot of sex in this book, but it's not the only thing happening.
On top of building relationships, we also see the beginnings of a mob war. Sloan is on the warpath and sets into motion events that will affect the next few books. I love an angry Sloan and I am looking forward to see what that means for our group.
I could say so much more about this book, but needless to say, it is wonderful. I read most of it in one night and didn't want to put it down (who needs sleep?). It was fast-paced and perfect. I cannot wait to read the next book that focuses on Cillian and Aspen's relationship. That should be a very interesting one!
Loved this book. I love how we get to see a different side of Fallon. I liked learning more about Aspen as well. You get to see each character grow in this relationship. I enjoyed the plot, that's going to carry over into other books but I'm also not looking forward to what can happen. This book is explosive.I I couldn't put it down. Seeing a different side of Cillian was nice as well. Rowen is still more of a romantic. This book also involves the Reyes Cartel. I loved the set up for danger/bad things to come. I want to read the next book already.

I truly loved the story. I loved reading about Aspen and Fallon relationship. You do need to read the first two books in the series because it's continuing series. This one will have you in tears. I'm not going to go into details because I do not want to have any spoilers out there for you. But there is a happy ending. You truly well I want to slap by Allen's Brothers upside the head. I want to slap Fallons Brothers upside the head. For the way they treat him the way they treat him.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
We get 2 books and the focus is in ONE person, as it is for harems and then we have this and EVERYONE is about Fallon. And not only the focus is on Fallon, they make things uncomfortable for Vail.
3.5 Even though it was 400+ pages, it felt quite a bit shorter than the first 2 books (Which were both actually shorter than this). Maybe because I have those in audio?
I will start by saying… thank F.K this book is over. By the end I couldn’t stand Fallon anymore.
I’ve read book 1 and 2 in less than 48h, not only did I devour them, but I LOVED them. I love Vail, he is such an amazing character and Cillian, Rowen, Fallon and Aspen were absolutely amazing too. I had 0 complains about any of them. They fit together so well, it was like they were made for each other.
I want to say that I do not write this review from a bad place, even though the way I started it may sound like it. This book was 3.75 for me, did not ha_te it or anything like that. Another thing I want to say is that this review will be long and with spoilers, something I don’t usually do, but in this case I think it is necessary. If you are like me and these books are something you enjoy because of the dynamic, then continue reading this review.
Before I started book 3 I worried when I saw that this one is about Aspen and Fallon… why? I mean I understand that Vail hinted in book two that he wants Aspen and Fallon to explore what’s between them, but… why a book about those two specifically, you know what I mean? I was worried because being two books deep into a series, loving it and having the script changed is not easy to accept if you are an emotional reader like I am. I did not know if I wanted to read the book or not, I knew no one who read them so I did two things I never do… started reading review and started reading random passages from book 3 and 4. I needed to know how the dynamic will be. I don’t like that I spoiled the book for me, but I mopped around for 2 days and couldn’t decide if I want to continue or not and I couldn't read anything else in the meantime. While reading the review I got absolutely nothing. People either ha+ted Vail and were happy they got to see Aspen and Fallon together, or they did not really talk about something of importance. As I said, not helpful so… if you are like me, this review is for you.
When I first started the series I was under the impression it’s going to be a harem, not a poly book, and I was fine with it. I would’ve been fine with poly too since I love poly romance books. I eat them up. What I did not like though was that I was lied to and fell in love with a dynamic just for it to change in book three. Some might say it is not a problem, and it usually would not be, but… it was with this one, for me, at least. As I was saying, I feel cheated. This series started with two books about Vail and the guys, all of them together with him. Vail being their boyfriend, him bringing everyone together. He is the one that changed the game for everyone. Then book 3 happened and it was like we threw everything out the window.
Fallon was one of my fav characters in the first two books. I loved his demeanor, how easy going he was, but I also saw that there was something behind all that and I was curious about what that might be. I think it was one of the few reasons I was curious about book 3. What I did not expect was for him to transform in the most annoying character of them all. There are things that are happening to him in this book, and while I understand why everyone acted the way they did, I feel like he was milking it at some point. I also did not like how he was always jealous if someone was too nice with Vail… you know… Vail… his boyfriend? Yeah… If Aspen looked 2s too long at Vail he would start getting pissy and try to get the attention back to him. It did not help me that this book was only from Aspen and Fallon’s POV. Why? We had 2 books with all the guys POV’s ( sure, because they were all involved with Vail, I get it, but… ) so why did Vail not got his own POV in this book? He is Fallon’s and Aspen’s boyfriend too (I would’ve loved to see what the was thinking too ). You have no idea though how many times those two forgot that tho’. It felt like they were bringing Vail up only to compare him with the other. “I love Vail because X, Y, Z, but Aspen?” Yeah… then ‘Ah, Vail is like this or like that, but Fallon?’ Why The F would you compare them like that? I get when you try to sort through your feeling or explain why you love each and every one individually, but ALL THE TIME? Annoying. Cillian even told Aspen at some point, dude, if Vail and Fallon were in danger, who would you protect? For some it may seem cruel to ask that, cuz usually it would not be nice to pick, and you def should’t, you know? But in this situation I got why Cillian asked, it kinda started to get clear that Aspen was more into what was happening with Fallon than his relationship with Vail. You need to be st0pid not to see it.
The only time I liked Aspen in this book was when he had the below convo with Fallon:
Fallon: I’m used to people not caring about me. Aspen: Don’t do that. Fallon: Do what? Aspen: The pity party. Your family f+cke_d-up, everyone knows that, but don’t act like you’re unlovable. Vail loves you. […] I like you.
This was the only moment I liked Aspen in this whole book.
Fallon started to act very needy from the start, he usually interfered whenever Aspen and Vail were having a moment. I saw Vail and Aspen ( they’re boyfriends, in case you forgot, cuz you know… Aspen forgot that often ) together just the two of them once, any other time if there was a scene that started that way, it ended rapidly because Fallon always made sure they were never alone.
While Fallon was in the hospital Aspen started to realize his feelings for him and started to act out. Which was fine. I loved seeing all the guys taking care of Fallon, he deserves that, but it seem like Vail was always pushed to the side even though he was worried sick about his boyfriend too. While Fallon was in a coma Aspen did not leave his side and when he did he always wanted to be there. Vail even told him at some point that he is worried too, cuz Fallon is his boyfriend. I swear Aspen was not considerate towards Vail’s feelings not even for a second. Gross. Not to mentioned him not wanting to be intimate with his boyfriend Vail if Fallon ( not his anything at the time ) was not there.
When they got back home, Fallon finally getting better, Vail wanted to make him feel important, see that he matters and how much he loves him so he told the guys that he wanted Fallon to be the center of their attention ( all of them ). Fallon was happy with that, of course, but from that moment on I felt like he tried to steal that from Vail. He always wanted everyone’s attention on him, even Rowen’s and Cillian’s who at that point were still Vail’s boyfriends and not involved with him.
Another thing that bothered me is how we had a whole book about Aspen and Fallon and THEY DID NOT HAVE A SERIOUS CONVERSATION, NOT EVEN ONCE IN 400 PAGES. Fallon was always jealous, Aspen was always possessive, Vail was always left out and brought up when they wanted s*x but didn’t want it to be only between them. It felt like Vail’s only purpose was that… Gross x2. Fallon wanted Vail because Vail loves him, shows him that, is sweet with him and gives him his attention always.
When Cillian and Rowan started to show interest too, well… Fallon again grabbed that with both hands and ran with it. Vail who?
When Vail was with them ( individually with Fallon, or together with Aspen, the three of them ) and Veil started talking they often mentioned how they tunned him out. What the h3ck? Imagine your partner not even listening to you when you talk… that speaks volumes.
It was a scene that happened that put everyone in danger ( at their job ) and Fallon or Aspen did not even thing about Vail… Sloan did. By that point I was like… yeah, id!0ts, even your boss cares more about your BF than you do. Great.
At some point I just wanted Fallon and Aspen to go away together. I knew though that Aspen would never leave Cillian. While he might say he loves Vail and as much as he loves Fallon, Cillian is the prize he wants. They have history and he will do anything to keep him.
Don’t get me wrong, the authors did a great job covering their tracks with all the “I love Vail”, “I don’t want to lose Vail”, “I can’t see my life without Vail’, bits but the reality is that 2s after those words were uttered the attention shifted and they forgot all about that. It was like they were saying that to make sure the reader doesn’t forget, or to remind themselves or some sht. By the 80% mark I couldn’t wait for this book to be over.
The epilogues pissed me off even more. Aspen did a terrible job with that date night when it came to Vail and an amazing job when it came to Fallon. At some point in the book Vail said that he wanted date nights with him and Fallon because he misses them and they should take turns picking up activities. Aspen chose to go to an MMA fight, knowing how Vail does not like them, but Fallon does. He knows how Vail gets overwhelmed and how his ADHD gets worse, but he somehow did not care. Fallon was happy, that’s what matters, right? He knew Vail will not say anything because he loves seeing Fallon happy. The authors ofc tried to make it better by having Aspen say… focus on me, I’m here, blabla. Yeah, NO. Every single epilogue pissed me off because it was again something that excluded Vail in one way or another. Vail has tried the whole book to make Fallon the center of attention, show him love, support, and Fallon wanted everything for himself with a side of Vail.
I swear, if this series continue like this I will be pissed. Book 4 is going to be a different thing because Cillian and Aspen have history and I WANT to see that unfold, but book 5 and 6 ( at some point ) will be from Fallon’s POV again. Why does he get so many books while Vail ( the main MMC ) got only two? If Rowen and Cillian start acting like Aspen did in this book and forget the F about Vail I will scream.
Aside from all the rage that I feel, I do thing wholeheartedly that Fallon deserves all the love, all the pampering, all the attention. I love him and I know he is young, this is the only excuse I’ll have for his behavior, but if he continues with this, I will not be happy. Vail showed us that he is willing to do anything to make Fallon feel special, so why steal that away from him? It was like he wanted his side of the cake but got jealous and wanted Vail’s too. Treat me how I like and how I need, but also all you do for Vail do for me instead, I’m prettier, more amazing, blabla.
I hope Vail will dump their sorry A$$s so they can all wake The F up and realize how the way they behave cannot be something that will bring them a HEA till d3ath do them part or whatnot. If you think that this is how a poly relationship looks like, you are mistaken. I am no expert, but I BET that communication is key, and not trying to steal the other people from one of your boyfriends. I understand needy, but this is a whole different level of petty. Vail might be ok with what’s going on because he wants everyone to be together, but if you remember book 1 and 2 you will see that he feels like he is not enough. He wants everyone to be happy, and feel loved because he feels like he is not enough, he is not special enough. The others seem to either not see that or forget. I get not being jealous for now, as I said, but it is not something that can go on forever. There will come a moment in time when they will be years down the road and this will become an issue. As I said, I hope Vail dumps them so they can see how much they’re actually pushing him aside. They all need 1 on 1 time, in pairs and together the 5 of them, so it is not nice to exclude Vail so much and not pay attention to his needs. There was a moment when one of them ( don’t remember if Fallon or Aspen tbh because I was checked out by that point ) even mentioned that Vail’s ADHD got worse… they just mentioned therapy, but no one cared enough or anything to… you know… pay attention and see why that was happening. The real reason.
The dynamic of this book was horrible, Fallon was needy in a way that was not cute, Aspen was someone I could live without reading about, he was… no. What I loved tho’… seeing Sloan and his Pet more, the maf!a bits and pieces that build the story in the background, Vail.
I will continue reading this series for the plot alone, but as I said already multiple times, if this continues like this with Fallon trying to steal everyone from Vail I will be unhappy. I already regret getting this invested in book 1 and 2 that forced me to continue this.
I hope the authors do a better job with Cillian & Fallon’s book and ADD Vail POV’s as well, and also not make Cillian forget he has a boyfriend like Aspen and Fallon did in this book. He is, after all, the one that is the most obsessed with Vail out of the 4 of them.
I am sad now. I am sad I did not enjoy this book, that Aspen was this bad of a character and that Fallon changed from one of my favs to one I am not interested in anymore. :( onto book 4 I guess.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
dnf at 13% because WHERE'S VAIL?? this was supposed to be a reverse harem and now it's a polygon? Fallon getting jealous of Vail?? and reading what the other 3 books are about it seems that Vail is no longer the main love interest, so im not reading them byeeeeeeeeee
Where do I even begin? I absolutely loved how Fallon's and Aspen's characters develop as well as their relationship. They were hot from the beginning and it only got hotter. What I did not expect was the development between Cillian, Rowen and Fallon. Vail continues to have the very best sexy ideas.
Keval Shah did a great job with this narration, I didnt feel like I miss out on anything because it wasn't Mac Rae.
I like reading the descriptions about a book before I listened but I wish I didn't for this book. From the description, I could tell Fallon would be hurt somehow and the wait drove me alittle crazy but that's just me. Also, it says no Cliff-hangers but I wanna know how Miami is going.
I absolutely can't wait to see what happens next for everyone in the company.
I was super excited to dig into this one. Aspen is my favorite of the bunch, so getting to dig a little deeper into his personality was everything I wanted. Watching and he and Fallon develop a relationship was so good. I am loving the layers we are seeing with all five of the guys.
Cillian, Rowen and even Vail take a back seat here in some ways. Though, seeing the new branches growing between Cillian and Fallon was hot AF. Fallon is like an adorable puppy. He wants pets and validation, along with direction and maybe some discipline. Aspen gives him all of those things wrapped up in a delicious package. There was also a softness aspect added to their relationship that I greatly appreciated against a rough backdrop of mobs and an impending faction war. It soothed the abrasive nature of Cillian and the events that happen.
There is a story here as well. It can’t all be well placed sex scenes. lol The Killough Company is set to go to war with the Reyes cartel and what a war it will be. This book ends with Cillian and Aspen being sent to Miami to take care of some Reyes issues. I cannot wait to read that book. We also get to check in with Sloan and Conall in this book and see Sloan actually show some very human emotion when his Pet is injured. While there is a lot of information doled out in these books, it’s relatively easy to keep track of it all because you are invested in the characters.
This was another great story from these authors. I don’t know how they do it, but I’m certainly not complaining. I will read all the books in this world every time.

What can I say? I had to take some time to ‘come down’ after reading this one. I think my absolute delight and excitement got the better of me on this one! And I’ll be honest I wasn’t 100% how this was going to hit for me, but I shouldn’t have worried, as yet again 2 of my favourite authors nailed it 🙏 I simply adored this book, and I was so excited to be back in this world with the guys again. After finishing this I’m desperate to get back into the next instalment in the series! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Aspen and Fallon, I thought I’d miss reading from all the guys perspectives and I did, sort of. I actually loved having a book purely based with just 2 of the guys relationship and character development. I did appreciate the epilogues at the end, giving us more insight into the other guys. Having a better view of Aspen as the guy who was seen as more the strong ‘silent’ type was interesting. I was intrigued by him from the start and couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into this one. Seeing Aspen fall for Fallon was beautiful, and seeing Fallon let down his walls for Aspen was just 👌 Fallon opening up to Aspen was something I adored, he’s relaxed and free with Vail but he’s so much more vulnerable and innocent around Aspen. I can’t wait to see how all the guys relationships develop!.

I adore New Gothenburg and the people in it but I must say that I have a soft spot for this group of guys. (Although I still say there must be something in the water that turns them all gay at birth! Just to be sure…..this is a joke!) I love the sensitivity with which these two great authors have depicted both Fallon’s diabetes, with the problems that causes and his hospital stay. As a person who has a disability it’s marvelous to see representations of people who are like me and the day to day problems that they have to work into their lives but without them being depicted as pitiful. I am also enjoying the development of relationships between characters who are in this quintet. Quintet? Is that what you would call it? Five guys. Also I must say that these authors do a superb job of writing in a way that helps the reader keep track of who is who. This is harder than you would think as I have read books where I was forever mixing people up. When you have five characters to juggle it becomes even harder. From the names, to the defining characters, the way they talk and more it’s easy to follow them. I never used to like reading mafia or biker books but this city and the guys who populate it are a big part of what has converted me. I highly recommend this book but read it in order.
Wow! Just when I thought things couldn't get any better, the writing duo of M.D. Gregory and Ki Brightly prove me wrong! I think that this is my favorite of the series so far! Told in joint points of view between Fallon and Aspen, this book really delves deeper into the complex poly relationship that the five men share. I loved learning more about the individual men and seeing them grow in the relationship. Fallon, my sweet boy - I just want to wrap him up and give him all the love and attention he obviously never got in his life. Thank goodness for Vail - who so selflessly and completely gives his love to each of his men. Although Vail was the catalyst for what developes between all the men, I'm glad to see that the different relationships that are forming don't entirely depend on him to hold them together. Learning more about what makes Aspen tick was so good and the little insights into Cillian hint at what the next book might bring. I can honestly say that I am 100% addicted to these books and will devour any and all that come out! Absolutely fantastic writing, world building, character development ... Gah! Just read these!
Everything about this Harem of Mobsters pulls me in and will not let me go! The way each of them is becoming closer to one another through their shared love and protectiveness of Vail, Aka Dr. Mifflin is stunningly evident and developed so naturally with each book! In this installment we get the special connection between Aspen our most mysterious member and Fallon the newer and more vulnerable member. Fallon is struggling emotionally with killing and also overcoming an injury. Aspen really was the main man to heal him! I received an advanced copy because I Needed one so bad after reading the first two books!! This book is all about the soft and steamy side of these Mobster men along with plenty of action and violence to keep you guessing! I love how each guy really does stay true to who they really are though. Even though they are developing a big relationship and learning to love they are realistically each still the individual men they were meant to be! Very unique world building weaving this group together!
This is the third one in the series and I think you would benefit from reading the other 2 or at least be familiar with the world in which it is set- there are many many more books in the series (and I recommend them all) I just love this group of men. It’s from Aspen and Fallon’s POV but I couldn’t help thinking this was more Fallon’s story really. He has to overcome a series of hurdles and he is so sweet and vulnerable. If you like mm mafia romances then there is everything to love here. We get torture, murder, explosions and lots and lots of sexy scenes. If you love Sloan and Conall (and how can you not) then you get to see a fair amount of them in this book, so that’s another positive. It’s another 5 star book from these fabulous authors.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book gives us more into the relationship of Aspen and Fallon. There is so much hiding behind the facades of these two men. I loved being able to see their true selves and the trust that they have in each other and the other men. There is so much that the reader gets to see and learn as their relationship deepens. Not only do we see all the men and how they interact, but it was interesting to get to see some of the human side of Sloan and his pet. Each new book has me falling deeper for all the men. I loved seeing the emotions and the love that they all have for each other. Each man is ready to fight for their relationships and is not willing to give up on any of it.

I loved it. Ok, I may be a little bias because Fallon is my favorite character, but still. To be honest before this book I didn’t really care about Aspen. Still doesn’t actually, but I liked him and how protective he is of Fallon. Also, love how Cillian started…warming up to the Fallon even tho he was still an ass sometimes and made me mad. But gotta love the possessiveness at the end (truly a way to my heart!) Rowen, was, well Rowen. I’m curious how will Rowen- Fallon relationship go. Vail is a sweetheart, he truly makes me happy. (Plus Sloan’s protectiveness of his pet and Vail *cheffs kiss*) I’m glad we’re getting more of Lor too. All in all, this was my favorite book in this series so far and can’t wait to see what else authors will do with characters.
I’ve said it before and now I’ll say it again…I love Aspen!! I knew he had a sweet side that wasn’t just for Vail and I absolutely love his relationship with Fallon. Those two are perfect for each other. Aspen is so quiet and Fallon never stops talking, they are just what the other needs. I loved all the epilogues and I am soooo intrigued with where Cillian and Fallon’s relationship will go and let’s talk about Lor…what is going on with him?? I want his story almost as bad as want to see what Cillian and Aspen get up to in Miami!! So many more fun stories to come!!
All the sex and violence that we adore about our little New Gothenburg. I will never tire of Sloan and Connal cameos, they should really just get a whole 'nother book. This one is pretty much all Aspen and Fallons POVs, so if you were reading the series because of Vail's awesome inner voice, or the Shaughnessys' heavy and quirky dialectic writing, you will be disappointed. However, there's like so many sex scenes, it's hours of raunchy orgy goodness, perfect. Even better when you add in some gun fights and emotional growth. Cillian is my favorite, and he was still in most of the scenes. Thank you, authors, for the five epilogues, I loved it!
I liked when Aspen put Cillian in his place at the beat down, reminding him of his less than stellar moments. Cillian stunned stupid was awesome. Then, seeing Cillian back down was a thing of beauty!!! The process of humanizing Cillian is agonizingly slow. Give me the patience and strength to survive it. I liked seeing Aspen protective nature towards Fallon. Melting!!! I enjoyed the epilogues, because each character had their own. Seeing the possibilities of new budding relationships in the group is exciting to watch. Can't wait for the next book.
Being the third book in this Roulette series, we get to learn about Aspen and Fallon on a deeper level. Fallon always hid behind his talkative persona and when Aspen sees the deeper layers of him, he can’t help but be drawn to him. Encouraged by Vail, they get to build something unique and meaningful to themselves.
Woven inti this fast paced plot is the escalating mob drama, well loved previous characters and the dynamics of these mens poly relationship. This is an absolute treat to read. I can’t wait for the next two books in this series.
This was so good. I absolutely adored getting to see Aspen and Fallon develop a deeper connection between them. The fact that Vail encouraged them in this was just icing on the cake. These men are hot together but it was the sweet, tender moments when they were vulnerable and actually saw each other that did it for me. Of course there's danger still surrounding them as moves are being made by enemies and the men have to take steps to ensure their continued survival.
Loved seeing the development of Aspen's and Fallon's relationship especially by the use of a great hurt/comfort plot trope. We find out more about all the other men in the series as well and get to see them adjusting to the Aspen/Fallon developments as well as all the explosive things going on outside the personal stuff. Good heavens are there some wild things going on among the criminals in this series. Some plans succeed, some are derailed and be prepared for anything to happen in this series. Cannot wait to read more mob stories from Brightly and Gregory.
Fallon and Aspen are just amazing together. I absolutely loved this book and I am dying to read Fallon and Cillian's story! I really liked how Fallon's medical stuff was handled. There was so much character development, not just with Fallon and Aspen but with everyone, and I found myself unable to put the book down. Absolutely recommend!!.

I loved this book. I loved the first two books. I love how Fallon and Aspen grow closer in this book. Fallon really struggles to find his way and survive in the Killough Company. When Fallon is hurt and has trouble with killing Aspen fears Fallon wont be in the Company much longer. Chaos hits New York City’s criminal underground and causes trouble for the Killough Company. They can't survive alone but will they survive together?
This is best if read in order of the series. This focuses on Aspen and Fallon. First off, I adored Aspen and Fallon!!! I loved the relationship that developed between them. I loved how Aspen saw Fallon and that Fallon would do anything to please Aspen. I have loved all the stories that come out of New Gothenburg but I Love these guys the most to date!! Overall, a seriously fantastic read! The story was really well written, the pacing was smooth, highly recommend.
Unlike most harem romances, this series takes the initial basic structure and deepens it further by exploring the closer ties that develop between other characters in the poly relationship. This book centers specifically on Fallon and Aspen in that regard, along with dropping hints of how their dynamics with other characters may change further.
The external mafia plot keeps my interest well enough, but I am definitely invested in this series for the poly dramatics.
